Hello Everyone!
I have for you a smutty rewrite of the Guam Arc. I have NO IDEA why I wrote this. Nothing special happens, other than... yeah the usual lemons.
This takes place after Daydream's Playlist Chapter 44 - Animal. I guess I wanted to finish the Heel arc with a bang - or lots of it. :P
It is not necessary to read it. The only point is that they get together in that chapter. So they start out in an established relationship in this one. The pace of the story is also rather fast, considering I didn't want to rewrite parts you already know from reading the manga.
This takes place during chapters 204 through 215; however, I deviate A LOT from the manga. A LOT!
The sun is high and bright in the sky. The air is fresh and cool with the smell of salt from the ocean.
Taking in a deep breath and letting it out with a loud noisy sigh, Kyoko smiled at the beautiful day that greeted her in Guam. Assaulted by all the gorgeous colors, the fresh air, and the sun heating her skin, this was definitely paradise!
A light blush colored her cheeks.
And Ren's here.
A huge grin split across her face and she raised her hands and shouted, "Aloha!"
"Kyoko-chan," Jelly called out to her and she let her happiness shine, but blushed as the older woman corrected her, "That's for Hawaii."
"Sorry, I got lost in the moment," she mumbled as she followed Jelly to the rental.
Kyoko was relieved that Guam was easier to navigate than she first thought. Her first time traveling overseas left her a little stressed, and she was ashamed to say that she didn't want to do it alone. While the trip to the hotel was beautiful and the conversation with Jelly was fun, Kyoko could tell something was bothering Muse-sama. She didn't want to be in her way and idly wondered if traveling with her was more bothersome than she let on.
Looking around the little patio restaurant, Kyoko was pleased to see so many Japanese people around. Trying to stay distracted, she picked up her phone with an itch to call Ren but wasn't sure if her phone would work here.
I should have called before I left, she frowned at it. She wasn't sure if she was going to be able to leave early and didn't want to make promises she couldn't keep. Plus, he was taking a few days off out here and didn't want to bother him with empty words. Kyoko jumped when her phone buzzed with an email about international use.
I can use it here! I should call him! Or maybe I should email him. That would be less intrusive. But if I'm going to visit him, a call would be faster. Maybe…
"Mama, it's not good if we call him ahead of time to let him know, right? Because we're going to surprise him!"
"Yes, yes," the woman replies to her children with an indulgent smile.
"Will papa be surprised?!" The other child exclaimed. "I wonder if he'll be so surprised and stand in shock for 3 seconds, then with a smiling face say, 'It's good you came!' and then hug us!"
The words filled Kyoko's mind with thoughts. Ren's handsome face appeared as he opened the door unexpectedly to find her there smiling up at him. His brown eyes widen in surprise and then fall into warm heavy-lidded eyes.
"Kyoko, I'm surprised," his voice husky making her heart flutter. "I'm happy you were able to come early," he continued and reached out to her. His warm hands took hers and pulled her in. "I've missed you," He would whisper into her ear before lifting her chin to press his lips against hers.
Her body flushed with heat. Her heart was racing and she could feel herself react at the thought of his touch, his kiss. Her flesh remembered his touch making her body suddenly crave him. It has been so long since they were the Heels. When she told him final exams were coming up, he insisted that she take a break to study properly. Disappointment filled her, but she quietly agreed. They had one date together during that time, but it was a short lunch in between their obligations. They called each other and talked when they could, but… she missed him. That last night together as the Heels left her wondering and worried that it was all a dream. Yet the vivid memories as well as the fading marks on her skin told her otherwise.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Kyoko-chan," Jelly called out to her, making Kyoko snap to attention.
"It's fine. Is everything okay with your apprentice?"
"Hmm, more or less," Jelly replied vaguely as she sat down. "Never mind that, I tried calling that kid a little while ago, but…"
Kid? Oh, Ren? Calling Ren a kid seemed funny to her.
"He said he was at a friend's place, a model who has a second home here."
Kyoko blinked surprised. "Really?"
Jelly nodded. "We will be having dinner with him tonight, but I need to head to the salon and it seems like he will spend the day with his friend; however, " Jelly looked over to her with hesitant consideration, "Maybe if I told him you were here, he'd come over."
Kyoko instantly flushed and shook her head and hands adamantly. "No! Uh-uh-uhhh, you mustn't. Please don't tell him! I don't want to make him change his plans. Especially since I was the one who changed my schedule so abruptly."
Jelly smiled brightly at her. "I thought so. I knew you wouldn't want me to say anything so I didn't."
"Thank you," Kyoko said, relieved.
"Then do you want to spend your day with me? I'll be working, so I don't know how much time I can spend with you. It might be boring."
"No," Kyoko again shook her head, "I can't hinder your work. I'll simply stay at the hotel."
Relieved, Jelly told her, "Then let's all three of us have dinner tonight. It may be late, but I'll call you to meet up. Okay?"
"Yes," Kyoko beamed happily, making Jelly feel a little guilty.
Kyoko made her way to her hotel room and was left to her own devices. She did check into the same hotel that Cain was staying at. Her plan was for her to make her way to Cain's room and head to the set together tomorrow when she was scheduled to arrive. While they shared the room before, that was because of the president's whims. This time, she wasn't presumptuous to assume she would stay with him here. Even though, deep down she did want to. She plopped onto her bed with a sigh thinking.
The problem is, that she didn't know the ins and outs of their relationship. Yes, they have been intimate to a degree and she understands that they are together. But together how…That is a different question. Because like it or not, she was afraid of doing the wrong thing and messing things up with him. After everything she had been through with Sho-baka, and even though this is different, she still doesn't know exactly why Sho didn't want to be with her. Even though the words he told her were of a bratty teenager, they were imprinted in her mind. Plain, boring, and has no sex appeal.
Kyoko placed her hands on her chest and cupped her very small breasts that were laying as flat as a board while lying down. She sighed again and sat up. She looked into her blouse, examining herself. The delicate curve of her breast filled the small cup of her bra. They were no smaller than Kanae's or Chiori's. And while yes, some of her other co-stars had larger cups, some had even smaller. She touched a slightly discolored spot at the top of her left breast with the graze of her thumb. The love bites that Ren put on her chest were pretty much gone, but somehow her mind or eyes wanted to believe they were still there.
Ren loves me. He loves me for me and likes my body. She told herself. Memories of his mouth and his hands filled her. She closed her eyes and took a shuddering deep breath as her hands squished her breasts together tightly before letting go and dragging her hands down to her thighs. She groaned as she forced herself to stand up. Looking for a distraction, she glanced about her room and saw the light streaming through the curtains. She stormed over and jerked them wide open to reveal the beauty of the beach that was right next to the resort she was staying at.
The perks of being on one of the top floors were that it allowed her to see so much more than on the ground. She was momentarily stunned by the diamond sparkling blue ocean that stretched out from beyond. The desire to go out and frolic at the beach, to feel the sand under her feet and the water crashing at her legs filled her with such need.
But I said I would stay in the room.
The outside world taunted her.
Maybe if I open the window… just a bit….
The smell of the ocean breeze wafted in and filled her lungs. The distant sounds of people enjoying the things she so desperately wanted to see filled her with longing.
The whole cast of Tragic Marker is here by now. They could recognize me. She reasoned and bit her lip as she watched within the dark confines of her little, tiny, boring hotel room… until it was time for dinner… late, late tonight….
Kyoko eagerly rushed out the door.
It will be fine! No one knows I'm Setsu, and the chances of anyone recognizing me are less than zero!
She happily greeted everything she passed by - the stores, the people, and then finally she reached the beach. With her shoes in hand, she ventured into the shore, letting the water lap at her feet, the air rush through her hair, and the sun beating on her skin. Gazing out to the sea, she dreamed of a beautiful mermaid princess that called this beautiful sea home. However, it wasn't long before the noise and chaos of the tourist from every direction grounded her in reality.
Okay so maybe this wasn't the best place to see something as majestical as a mermaid princess. She started to wander along the beach. She wanted to find a more secluded place but wasn't sure how far she was willing to go for such things. She was a stranger to the area and would hate to get lost. At the same time, the area was so populated that she couldn't imagine that there would be a secluded beach. At least not one that would be available to the public.
Thankfully, it wasn't too long before the crowds started to thin out. The tourist seemed to like sticking to the wide-open areas because as she reached some trees and foliage, the people started to disappear. The sight of it made her think of Corn's stream. That's what she named it after that fateful day. Suddenly excited, she forced her way through some thin shrubbery to a little clearing that had some waves coming through.
Looking around, there wasn't a soul in sight. Closing her eyes and taking another cleansing breath, she took in the solitude. How perfect! She smiled brightly looking at the little alcove. With the trees and large rocks to the side, there wasn't much sun coming through which made the spot a little colder, but there was enough to make the water sparkle.
And move.
She blinked as she saw something move in the water. It was much too big to be a fish, at least not one that she thought would be this close to shore. Granted her knowledge of local sea life was limited.
Then suddenly she was granted a shocking sight.
Wet golden hair…
Unearthly beauty rising out of the clear cool water…
Not a woman but a man… dripping wet emerging from the depths below.
And then finally rich green eyes looked up at her stealing much more than her breath away.
Kyoko stood there still as stone as the man stood shocked at finding a witness of his ascent to the earthly realm.
No way!
What's this? A dream? Or a hallucination?
Yeah… that's it… right? No doubt that's it.
Although he's at a distance, that blond hair glittering like it was infused with diamond grains. If that kid grew up, he would be…
"Kyoko," he called out to her, making her gasp in shock, taking a step back with her hand over her heart.
He remembers me! Closing her eyes, she withered in excitement. Corn! It's Corn and he remembers me! Her face flushed as her heart raced. She looked over to him as she heard the sound of water splashing indicating that he was walking out. She watched him with dazzling eyes and could feel her heart stop as he smiled down at her.
"What are you doing here? How did you find me?" He asked once he was within arm's reach.
Mesmerized by his hair and eyes, she struggled to talk. "I, um, work… um," her eyes started to flood with tears. "You… you grew up!" she said with a thick voice. She smiled brightly up at him with blurry watery eyes. "Corn! You were able to grow up properly!" she exclaimed and threw herself at him for a hug.
He chuckled as he took a small step back at the rush of his girlfriend. He looked up into the sky with a sad little smile. She doesn't recognize me. He looked down at her hugging him. Rather she recognized me a little too well. He smirked as she didn't seem to care that she was getting wet, a smile was firmly planted on her face.
He ran his hand over her hair grabbing her attention. "Kyoko, don't you recognize me?"
She flushed and nodded. "Of course! Corn! I know it's been what… 10 years or so, but I'd recognize you anywhere!"
He sighed. "Close your eyes," he told her, and without hesitation she obeyed.
"Calm down and listen to my voice," he said softly as he peered down at her sweetly. "Don't I sound familiar?" He asked, making her frown. He gently combed back her hair with his fingers and then caressed down the side of her face.
"Don't you recognize my touch?" He whispered huskily, making her cheeks burn slightly. She tried to step back but he quickly wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her from going away. Kyoko blinked to open her eyes but he quickly placed his hand over her eyes.
"No, keep them closed," he ordered and her face flushed deeper. He dragged his hand down her face until his thumb reached her lips. A shuddered breath escaped her as he opened them slightly.
"I missed you," he breathed as he leaned down, licking his lips before he kissed her.
Kyoko gasped and whimpered as he held her chin in place rendering her unable to move from his kiss. He pulled her closer and kissed her the only way he knew how, with longing and desire and filled with all of the love in his heart. It took two heartbeats before she melted against him. His hand cradled her face as he kissed her, deepening the kiss as his tongue lightly licked her lips. Opening her mouth, she moaned as he tasted her. Her hands clenched at his wet shirt squeezing water out of it, little drips of water dripping through her fingers and down her arms. After several moments, he let her go, his breath rushing out as their lips parted.
"Ren," she sighed blissfully.
"Hmm," he sounded pleased. "Good girl."
Hazy gold eyes slowly looked up at him. He smirked down at her, that familiar heated gaze that she labeled the Emperor of the Night looked down at her with bright gold hair and deep green eyes.
Her eyes widened and the shock of his appearance still seemed to affect her. Her eyes flickered to every little feature on his face but mostly his hair and eyes.
"But…" she was starting to cry, "But... you look… is that really…" she choked and couldn't speak anymore.
He nodded and smiled softly at her. "This is me. This is…" he hesitated to try to find the words, "100% natural."
It seemed that she didn't know what to do with this information so he continued. "Kyoko," he whispered and his brow furrowed with concern. "I have a little confession to make," he looked away but did not release his hold around her. He struggled with how to say it or how to start because he didn't want to, but she recognized him – the real him and didn't want to keep lying to her.
"It's about me and you. I…" he hesitated and licked his lips thinking. "I knew. I knew who you were since you dropped Corn's stone down the stairwell," he admitted softly. He wasn't sure what to say next and let the silence between them build as his mind conflicted with his heart. His past? His name? What? The weight of everything pressed heavily on his chest, almost crushing it. As his mind struggled to come up with more to say, she spoke up.
"What does that mean?" she asked, making him blink those green eyes down at her. "Who am I to you?"
Taken back, he flushed. "Um," he wasn't expecting that sort of question. "You… um, I… well," he stammered. "You're Kyoko. The same little girl from the forest in Kyoto. It's just…."
"Wait, so wait…" A soft little sob came from her and his words froze in his throat. "Are you saying that you are… and when I dropped my stone, you knew who I was? Right away, you knew?"
He tried to defend himself, "Well, not right away, but after you told about it then…"
She interrupted, "and you didn't tell me?" She pulled away from him then, stepping back from his arms as tears fell down her face.
His heart broke and he quickly grabbed her hand before she left. "Kyoko, it was ten years before we met again, and we didn't know each other anymore!"
"How is that a reason!?" She yelled and tried to jerk her hand away but he held fast. "People reconnect after years pass all the time. If you knew who I was, why didn't you say anything?! You let me go on about Corn all the while it was You this whole time!" She wrenched his hand off hers and twisted away from him.
"Please Kyoko," he grabbed her arm and struggled as she jerked away. He dropped his hands when he noticed that she wasn't walking away. She wasn't leaving, merely needed a moment to herself, but even that made his whole body ache.
"I didn't want to ruin your memory of him! I'm not him anymore. I didn't want you to know that your fairy prince was a demon in disguise!"
That confused her. Kyoko turned around with a deep frown marring her face.
"I don't understand," she stated with the implied request for more, but he looked down unable to meet her gaze.
"I told you that I wasn't doing well, being crushed under the pressure. I was happy when I was with you. I enjoyed playing your fairy prince so much that I was reminded of how much fun it was to act again, so I went back home determined to make it work out. But…things did not get better after I left Kyoto. They got worse. A lot worse and…" he looked away, his eyes grew dim and hollow lost in his thoughts.
"What?" She prompted. The look on his face and the way he held himself made her approach soften. She stepped up out of concern and worry for him because the man she loved was obviously in pain. She lightly took a hold of his forearm and asked in a gentle voice, "And what?"
He shook his head and withdrew – pulling his arm away from her touch and taking a step back. "It doesn't matter. It's something I can't take back." He grew silent and Kyoko stood there waiting.
Even though she was still trying to accept his appearance, to connect the person in front of her was Tsuruga Ren, she wanted to know what he was talking about. A demon in disguise? What did that mean? What happened that made him see himself as a demon? Is that what was tormenting him before? She watched him looking down with sadness and grief etched on his face. He took another step back and then another and his body started to twist away from her.
She wanted to ask, but the fact that he was walking away overwhelmed her. He was shutting her out and she hated it. Why is he walking away? What did this mean? Tears fell from her eyes, blurring her vision of him. A tether that was tied to him painfully tugged at her heart with each step. Is it that bad? Why can't he simply tell me? After everything, he is going to leave? She wiped away the tears and her body reached out for him. Does it matter? Does it truly matter if he tells me? Her feet moved forward as her heart sang out, No.
"Ren," she called out to him with a thick voice. He stopped but did not turn around. He did not watch her walk up to him but could hear her steps approaching him. Seconds passed as he waited. Waited for her to do something, say anything because his heart was pounding in his chest, the pain was shooting through his body and all he wanted to do was run – run away before this moment turned into another nightmare that would haunt him.
"You don't have to tell me what happened if you don't want to. I know we didn't meet again on good terms, but after all this time," she whispered. Her voice was close behind him. He hung his head but didn't say a word.
She sniffed behind him and then shock ran through him when he felt her reach out and touch his back. Her fingers pinched his shirt and held on. The weight of her hand pulling down the shirt against his shoulders eased the pain but the pressure swelled around him.
"I'm hurt that you didn't tell me who you were," she whispered again and his breath hitched as she pressed her forehead against his back, nuzzled between his shoulder blades. She breathed cold air through his wet shirt making him shiver. "I won't pretend to understand why, but this is worse," she sobbed and her arms wrapped around his waist. The warmth and strength of her embrace shocked him just as much as her words. "It doesn't change anything," she mumbled barely loud enough for him to hear. His heart hammered in his chest. "Would you honestly walk away? I love you so much."
His cold hands clenched into fists as he shook and struggled to breathe. His chest rose painfully against unwilling lungs.
"You've helped me so much, with acting, through Sho, and even my mother when I was little. Corn has been with me through it all. I don't want to lose you, but…" her arms started to let him go. "If you don't feel the same. If you are willing to walk away from this, from me even after…"
"No," he quickly interrupted. His hand grabbed her. "I don't want to let you go," his fingers weaved together with hers. "But I'd let you go if you wanted to walk away."
Kyoko sobbed behind him. "Why?"
"Do you remember that night when those men approached you on our first night as the Heels?"
"Yes," she mumbled behind him.
Ren looked down at their joined hands and lightly caressed her. "I was like them, when I was younger, picking fights with random people for the thrill of it, except…" he swallowed and licked his lips, "I was the one who always walked away while the others were carried away. I hurt a lot of people intentionally. I'm not a good person."
"Did you enjoy it?"
He smiled but it was a sad, sardonic smile. "Yes. The number of times they picked on me for being famous, rich, privileged, or mixed-blood… I loved making their smiles turn red and their laughs turn into pleas."
"Then it was self-defense?" She reasoned and it made him laugh bitterly. He finally dropped his grip on her hands and twisted around towards her. She looked up at him with red-rimmed watery eyes and he looked down at her with a malicious, arrogant expression.
"Perhaps at first, but not if you keep hitting them once they are unconscious," he stated in a frightening quiet voice.
"Why would you do that?" she asked softly. Her fallen hands gathered at her chest.
He grinned at her, surrounding himself with the darkness in his soul as he answered, "Because I wanted to." He took a step towards her and she took a step back and rightfully so. His heart was pounding painfully in his chest screaming - STOP IT. DON'T DO THIS - as he pushed her away with his words.
"I wanted to hurt them because they hurt me. I wanted to take out all of my frustrations on them. To drown out the screaming voice inside of me with their pain." He stalked towards her and she moved back with wavering eyes until she stumbled. She gasped as he quickly caught her. He lunged forward and took her into his arms. Her hands pressed against his chest and it made his heart jump into his throat. He swallowed and his eyes softened looking at her. He pulled her back up onto her feet but didn't let her go.
"Are you afraid?" he whispered. "Now that you know what I'm capable of doing?"
Her head shook softly, barely noticeable.
"You should be. You should be disgusted that the same hands holding you, that touched you so intimately, have broken so many others." He reached up and lightly stroked her cheek with the back of his fingers. "I dirtied your pureness with my desire and you deserve so much more."
When she said nothing, he started to move away, but she grabbed his shirt in both of her hands before he could escape. "Then give it to me," she demanded. Ren turned to look down at her confused.
"You… you owe me. You said I deserve more, then… then give it to me. YOU give it to me." Her hands jerked him towards her. Her eyes blurred with tears that slowly fell down her face. "Y-you are not allowed to walk away, to simply escape thinking I'd be better off without you. You have to ensure it. Every day for the rest of my life, you are responsible for my happiness." She forced him down and roughly kissed him.
Ren's brow furrowed with internal conflict, yet his lips parted, and eagerly kissed her back. God help her because he wanted her so badly. He tilted his head and held her face between his hands as his need and desperation to have her tried to devour her. His teeth nipped at her soft lips. A soft whimper escaped her as he slipped his tongue between her lips, and he could feel her lean against him as she struggled to keep up. Reluctantly, he pulled away and his eyes looked desperately at her. She was beautifully flushed red with full pouty lips parted slightly as she panted between his hands.
He wanted to dive back in and give her everything as she demanded but instead, he softly whispered, "You would still have me?" Gold eyes blinked up at him as she reorganized her thoughts. Her hands came up and cupped over his as she nodded.
"Yes," she answered immediately and licked her lips. "Unless… unless you truly do not love me."
A sob racked through him and Kyoko gasped as he fell out of her arms and his knees landed harshly on the sand. "I love you," he cried. His arms wrapped around her waist and his face buried in her chest, and he started to cry. "I love you. I need you so much."
She was stunned and still high on her emotions. She was still trying to keep him here, and her brain wasn't working properly, but her heart was. She leaned her head over his and wrapped her arms around his shaking shoulders. She wasn't sure how much time had passed as they held each other, and it took a moment after he stopped crying to finally pull away and look up at her.
"Kyoko, there is more. More you don't know about me. More things that you might not…"
She pressed her hand against his cheek and her thumb pressed over his lips. "Are you telling me this because you need to? Or because you feel like you have to?"
His brow furrowed in confusion. "What is the difference?"
Her eyes softened. "If you don't know the difference, then don't tell me."
"But…"
She leaned down and kissed him, sealing his words in his throat. It was a soft but quick press of her lips. "Will your past hurt me? Is it something between us like with Corn?"
He had to think about it. His real name and Rick's death were the only things he could think of that he was scared of telling her. "Possibly. You've met someone related to me. I hid that fact from you."
Her mind immediately tried to think of everyone she met and couldn't think of anyone. Then she started to wonder why that would be a bad thing. Unless it was someone she didn't like – like Sho. She snorted and her hand flew up to her face.
"I guess that doesn't matter to you?" He asked curiously, wondering why she laughed.
"Sorry, I guess I don't understand why that would hurt me," she said and pursed her lips thinking. "Do I not like them?"
He smiled softly. "No, you got along very well."
She smiled pleased that someone in his family liked her, but it wilted slightly as she continued to think about it. "But your real name is something that is guarded, right? Tied to your past?"
"Yes," he confirmed. "Taking a stage name allowed me to start over. It allowed me to get away from what I did and gave me a chance to stand on my own two feet without the chains of my real name tying me down."
She smiled bashfully as her fingers played with a lock of his hair. "It let your wings grow?"
He smiled brightly at her. "Yes. As you said before. I grew up properly and I'm able to fly." He suddenly stood up, taking her up with him. His arms hugged around her thighs as he lifted her high over his head and spun her around causing her to scream and then laugh. She braced herself at his shoulders and he had to slow down or risk taking a tumble as the soft sand made things tricky. He stopped and let her body slowly slide down between his arms until her feet landed in the sand.
"Kyoko," he called to her softly and she gazed up at him with warm gold eyes. "Is this really okay?"
"I should be asking you that. Are you sure it's me you want?"
He answered her with a kiss. One filled with the joy and love he had for her. His arms tightly lifted and held her against him and his heart soared as she returned the affection. She was above him again when they finally parted.
"No more running away?" She whispered and he shook his head.
"No more doubts?" he asked and she smiled, shaking her head.
They both smiled and he set her back down. They both felt giddy and Ren never felt lighter in his whole life. The girl of his dreams knew more about him than ever before and he was on cloud nine.
