Hello, everyone. I apologize for not posting over the past week. I was sadly sick. This prompt was suggested by The Generic Ficer. Enjoy.
The Lawquanes had been visiting the batch for a few days. Omega had watched how Suu cared for Shaeeah and Jek and she wondered what it was like to have a mother. DOn't get her wrong, she loved her brothers. In some ways, Hunter was like a father to her and Echo like a mother, but… they were her brothers. Suu was special.
One evening, Omega saw Suu outside sitting on the porch watching the sunset. Omega walked outside and sat next to her.
"It's a beautiful evening," Suu said.
"Yeah, it is." Omega sighed.
"What is troubling you, child?"
"Nothing."
"Omega, I am a mother. I know when something isn't right with a child. And you are upset over something. What is it?"
"I wish I had parents. Especially a mother. SHaeeah and Jek are lucky to have you."
"OH, I see. And why do you wish you had a mother?" Suu questioned.
"I don't know. Maybe to have someone to talk to." Omega replied.
"You have your brothers."
"Yeah, but they're not…"
"A woman?"
"Yeah."
Suu chuckled and nodded.
"Come here. What do you want to talk about?" Suu chuckled.
"Really?" Omega wondered.
"Yes."
Omega moved closer and started talking to Suu as they watched the sunset. They talked about anything and everything. Good and bad. From boys to how to handle feminine problems, they talked about it. When there was nothing more to say, they sat in silence. Omega yawned and looked up at Suu.
"Thank you, Suu." Omega thanked.
"For what?" Suu wondered.
"FOr being my mom."
"Anytime, Omega. Now, I think it's time for you to go upstairs to bed."
Omega hugged Suu and did as she was told. The next evening, Suu sat on the porch with all three of her children watching the sun go down and no one said a thing against it.
FOr many years to come, Suu was always there for Omega. She always listen to Omega's problems and helped her when she needed it.
