The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

Mia didn't talk to Frieza much after the little spat they had before he was called away to a meeting that day. He's also been pretty busy ever since then too. Which was good for her, because it meant he didn't have time to have his way with her like he wanted.

It's been several weeks since that conversation happened. Time still seems to move very slowly when you're up in space with not much to do but be paraded around like some exotic pet. Didn't help that the tyrant still preferred having her on his lap while they are in the Main Room. It was even more embarrassing though when he would have her with him on his lap while he was having a meeting in the Conference Room.

She'd get pissed when he would run his fingers through her hair like he was petting her in front of everyone. It still just felt like he had endless ways of humiliating her. At least he hasn't copped a feel or did anything appropriate with her in front of the men that he conversed with. Probably because as degrading as Frieza is Mia still can't picture him as an exhibitionist of any sort.

At the moment, the two of them were alone in the Main Room. Mia was looking out the window with a forlorn look on her face. While Frieza was fiddling with something on his console in front of his seat. Every now and then he would glance at the young woman on his lap.

He's not blind to the fact that she seems to seem more and more depressed each day that she is out here with him on the ship. Frieza has been so busy as of late that he forgot to mention they will be at Home Base very soon. The tyrant opened his mouth to say something to her. But he was cut off by a disembodied voice that came through the intercom off to the side of the console.

"Lord Frieza, we're close to the Home Base now. E.T.A. is in a half hour." Berryblue said.

Mia furrowed her brows and turned her attention to the message that just came through to them. She briefly glanced over her shoulder at Frieza.

"Home Base?" She inquires.

Frieza nods, "Yes, I meant to tell you earlier we will be landing there today. But I got tied up with other duties and forgot to mention it."

"For how long?" Mia asks.

He rubs his chin in thought. "Not sure yet. Could be for a couple days or a few months. Though since we have been up here for about a year now, I'd say we will be spending more time there. Plus, it will give me more time and opportunity to get in more training. Because between all the dealings and duties that have been done here, I've haven't had as much time as I wanted lately to train."

"And at least I'll be able to finally stretch my legs." Mia mutters.

Frieza smirks, " Indeed, being cooped up here for a long period of time would make anyone fidgety and irritable." He pauses, as his grin widens. "It's also nice to see that you said more than five words to me. Especially since I hardly gotten much conversation out of you these last few weeks."

Mia just looks away and scowls. Until she felt fingers lightly grip her chin and turns her face to his gaze again.

"What's the matter, my little human? Thought you be happy that you will be on solid ground again after eight months in space." The tyrant says.

She doesn't say anything at first. It seems like minutes before she does answer him.

"Because it's still not home." Mia replies, barely above a whisper.

The thought of home made her heart clench. At this point, she really did feel like she'd never see Earth again. That she will be tied to this sadistic little prick forever or at least until he finally gets tired of her and kill her.

Frieza can feel sadness permeating from her. And it's leading him to believe this is why she has been getting quieter over time since she was brought aboard his ship. The light within her was dulling a little more each day. In a way, it irked him. He rather enjoys her quirkiness and feistiness. He also was beginning to miss the conversations they used to have.

Mainly because it was nice conversing with someone else who held intelligence. Because let's face it; his men were anything but intelligent. The only one who really had a brain up here within his force is Berryblue.

Conversations with Mia were different though and was a nice break from talking business all the time with others. Even at times where he did most of the talking between the two of them. From the start, she was never really a chatterbox. Which is understandable given her background. Most people who grew up the way she did; usually became quiet individuals as they became adults.

Sometimes they wouldn't talk much at all and instead played games. Frieza introduced her to some of his favorite strategy games that he would play on his console in his spare time. The console would project a holographic image of the game and he taught her how to play. It amazed Mia that you could tap on a holograph as if it were a touchscreen on an ipad or iphone. And even though she wasn't all that good at the games, it was still a good distraction or occupation to everything else going on around them.

"Still, it's better than continuing on in space the entire time. I'm sure that is something we can agree on." He pauses and his grin returns. He leans in closer to her.

"And we will also have some more free time to ourselves." He purred as he brushed a long lock of hair over her shoulder.

Mia pulled away from his touch with a scowl.

"And here I was hoping for some more time away from you." She retorted.

He snorts, "Hardly, the only times you won't be able to accompany me is when I'm off training. And while it is true that it will take up quite a bit of my time, my workload will greatly decrease while on Base. So, when I'm not training, you will be in my company."

"Great, can't wait." She replied sarcastically.

He chuckles, "Good to know, because neither can I."

Frieza knew Mia was being sarcastic in her last statement. But he wanted to mess with her anyway. He noticed how she tensed up upon hearing that. She shook her head and looked away. Mia didn't say anything to him after that. She wasn't sure what to say. Her mind seemed to still be stuck in that deep dark hole of despair. And despite all her efforts she was failing at finding a way out of it.

They sat in silence while waiting to arrive at the Base. Frieza was doing some last-minute work on his console in the meantime. Though it didn't stop his mind or gaze from wandering to Mia.

Soon, the planet Home Base was on came into view. It was purple in color with swirls of white. It was quite big too. Mia easily spotted it through one of the large windows in front of them. The planet gradually got bigger as the ship drew closer to it. Pretty soon, they would be breaching its atmosphere. The double doors at the back of the spacious room slid open. Berryblue and Kikono entered and approached the high-rise seat Frieza and Mia occupied.

"We shall be landing very shortly, My Lord. General Korn already sent a message to Commander Ryce at Command Central at the port and they are awaiting our arrival. Their team is ready to check the ship over for maintenance once everyone exits it." Berryblue informs him.

"Excellent. And is my Quarters prepared and ready?" Frieza asks.

"Yes, the bed was provided with fresh linens and the bathroom with more toiletries. The room has been cleaned as well." She confirmed.

Another five minutes later and they were breaching through the planet's atmosphere. Something that scared Mia a little because a reddish hue surrounded the ship, making it appear as if it were on fire. Thankfully, it only lasted a couple minutes. Then the windows filled with sunlight and open sky. The ship started to slow down as it got closer to the ground.

Mia can make out strange buildings as they grew closer. There were also numerous smaller crafts flying around down below. The ship made a sharp turn to the left and that's when she saw a large open area down below with a couple buildings off to the side. She also saw some other ships parked off to the far right. It didn't take long to realize that this must be the port they will be landing at.

They were no more than a hundred feet away from landing. When Frieza motioned for her to get up. Mia stood up and moved out to the top step by the large chair. The tyrant stood up and went down the steps. She eventually followed him down. He then gestured for her to follow him.

The pair headed for the exit, with his two subordinates trailing behind them. Frieza lead her down some winding halls and down a couple floors. They stopped in front of another set of doors she hasn't seen since she's been on this ship. Mainly because there were still a few areas she was not allowed to go. That plus she was with Frieza eighty to eight five percent of the time.

The doors slid open, and Mia had to shield her eyes from the bright sunlight that filtered in. The air was pretty warm there. Warm enough that she wouldn't need a jacket. There was a strange mechanical whirring sound and she watched as a ramp made its way down to solid ground in front of them.

The Galactic Emperor strolled down the ramp and was greeted by the people who were waiting at the end of the ramp on the ground. Mia couldn't help the small smile that appeared on her face. It may not have been Earth, but she at least was finally on solid ground again after almost a year up there in space. So, she couldn't help but feel some relief and brief happiness about it.

Mia came to a stop next to him and was still looking around. Frieza caught the faint smile on her face as she examined the new surroundings. To her, it was pretty interesting. The buildings in the surrounding area looked very futuristic. Kind of like being in the middle of a Sci-Fi Movie. She almost laughed when she imagined the bad guy Zorg would come limping out of one of the entrance to one of these buildings with those ugly lien warriors flanking him.

Though she doubts the protagonist Corbin Dallas would stand a chance in a fight with the tyrant or his men. Though she doesn't doubt that Ruby Rod would probably annoy them all to death. She bit the inside of her cheek at that funny thought. Funny how when she thinks of a futuristic world her mind almost always goes to the movie, 'The Fifth Element'.

It may have to also do with the fact that it was one of her favorite Sci-Fi Movies. Or it's just how she pictured the future of Earth to look like with the next hundred or couple hundred years. All that aside, this world did seem pretty interesting from where she stood. It's just a shame she had the shittiest travel companions.

"Lord Frieza, a pleasure to see you again. Everything is in order and ready for you, Sir." A burly soldier with a deep voice said.

The tyrant's gaze settled on the soldier and he gave him a nod.

"Thank you, Commander Ryce. The force has already started unloading and they will all be exiting the ship very soon. Make sure it goes through a thorough maintenance check and that there is no damage from debris." Frieza ordered.

"As you wish, My Lord." Commander Ryce says with a bow.

The tyrant briefly looks over his shoulder at his two top subordinates.

"Berryblue, Kikono I want you both to go to Command Central and gather intel on the next few planets our force will be hitting within the next couple months. Have our personnel bring up all documentations for Planet Gyre, Planet Doje', and Planet Maucu. I want the soldiers we're sending to these worlds to thoroughly look over these documents so they know what we are looking for and about the leaders we will be addressing about their resources." Frieza instructed.

"Yes, My Lord." They said in unison.

Both of the squat aliens moved around the pair and headed off to one of the buildings at the port. Frieza turned his crimson gaze to Mia who was still standing next to him.

"Come along, Mia." He says, and starts walking.

The young woman stood there for a moment longer, before she began to follow him. 'That's strange, he hardly refers to me by my name.' She thought. Mia didn't harp on it for long, because she didn't want to get left behind and lost in this place. She sped walk to catch up to him and walked in step beside him.

Frieza didn't say anything during their walk as he led them through one of the buildings of the space port. He led her to a strange large oval shaped object. It looked to be made of glass and it had a grey colored floor inside of it. The tyrant approached it and Mia watched in amazement as he went through the strange glass. It rippled like water as he went through it and went inside.

Mia hesitantly took a step towards it. She put her hands out in front of her and cautiously took small steps forward. Frieza watched in amusement as she slowly pushed her way through, all while keeping her hands out inf front of her. To him, it looked like she was doing this so not to end up faceplanting into the strythoglass. Like she didn't believe she'd go through it like he did.

She let out a sigh of relief once she was through it and inside. It was a strange experience and can only be described as going through some kind of mist or fog. It was then she heard Frieza chuckling beside her.

"You truly are quite amusing." He says, after he was done laughing.

She rolls her eyes and shakes her head. Before she lets out a surprised gasp when they start moving. Probably because it happened in an instant. First, they were still inside the port. Next, it was like the oval shot out like a rock in a sling shot and now the port was a ways behind them. It went through what she thought was a glass wall on the building. But it must've been made out of the same kind of strange glass as the oval because it rippled and parted as the oval they were in went right through it.

The oval followed some type of strange floating tracks above the buildings and roads. Mia can only compare to riding the monorail back home in a city. She rode them plenty of times while in South City. She continued to look around as they breezed past surrounding buildings and crafts. While Frieza still had an amused look on his face as he observed her reactions.

He then pressed his hand to the thin glassy wall of the oval to his left. And a few moments later, a holographic screen popped up in front of them. Mia observed as Frieza pressed a few holographic buttons and strange symbols popped up on the screen. Once he was finished, the holographic screen dissapeared.

"What was that?" She asks.

"Just putting in the coordinates to my Quarters." He told her.

"So, this is like a taxi that takes you wherever you want to go?" Mia inquires.

Frieza furrows his eye ridges, unfamiliar with the term.

"I'm not sure what a 'taxi' is. But yes, air gliders will take people wherever they wish to go. It's a very effective means of transportation." His smirk widens. "Unless you prefer, I fly us there myself. Which was tempting."

Her eyes widened, him carrying her through the air at high speeds and high up in the sky. Fuck that!

"Hell no! This works just fine!" Mia blurted out.

He snickers at her response. Frieza knew she was well aware of how fast he can fly because Mia saw him do it outside of the ship a few times. Sadly, at least a couple of those times were when he flew out of the ship and into space only to stop short, hover for a few moments, and toss down a super nova at an ill-fated world below.

The oval started to slow down as it got closer to one place in particular. It was a building. But this one looked more lavished than the few others that they have passed.

It stopped and landed right in front of the entrance to the building. He gestured for her to go and they both stepped out of the large glassy oval. Once they did, the air glider took to the sky again and headed out. The pair now stood in front of a large thick set of double doors.

Frieza turns his gaze back to Mia, "Shall we?"

She gives him a brief nod. Not like she had much of a choice but to go in with him. She was after all on a strange alien world. Where else could she possibly go? They stepped up to the doors and he waved his hand over a scanner off to the left of the thick doors. There was a brief beeping sound before they started to slide open.

He led her through the front doors as they closed behind the pair and sealing them inside.

Until Next Time ;)
