Another mission had gone wrong and once again, Hunter was left severely injured. The batch sat in a cave frustrating each other and themselves. Crosshair fussed and yelled at Tech who was trying to treat Hunter. Tech fussed at Wrecker for accidentally hitting Hunter. Wrecker fussed at Crosshair and Tech for picking the cave which was too small for them all. Echo fussed at everyone to stay calm while Omega had a panic attack and Hunter continued to bleed.
"Tech, you're hurting him. Get the bleeding stopped now." Crosshair hissed as he put pressure on the wound on Hunter's leg.
"I am trying, but it is hard with Wrecker bumping me and Hunter." Tech spat.
"Well, I can't help it. It's too small in here. Besides, you wanted me to build the fire." Wrecker huffed.
"Boys, calm down. You're upsetting Omega and HUnter." Echo warned as he hugged Omega.
"Tell that to them," Tech replied.
"No, I'm telling that to all of you."
They heard a twig snap, and they all silenced. Crosshair grabbed his rifle and aimed for the opening while Echo and Wrecker took their blasters and looked around outside. They saw a cloaked figure step out of the shadows and raise their hands.
"I mean you no harm, Wrecker, Echo." The voice said.
"How do you know us?" Echo wondered. The person removed their hood and the two gasped.
"Shaak Ti?" Wrecker gasped.
"It is me, Wrecker. I could sense your brother quite a ways away. He's injured. I also sense someone else who was distressed." Shaak Ti replied.
"Hunter's injured and Omega's upset."
They went inside the cave and when the others saw Shaak Ti, they were shocked. Shaak Ti walked over to Tech and Crosshair and helped them care for Hunter. Then she sat beside Omega.
"So, you're the little one I sensed." Shaak Ti said. "Hello, my name is Shaak Ti. I don't think we met."
"My name's Omega." Omega greeted.
When the batch had calmed down, they told Shaak Ti what had happened since order 66 and Shaak Ti listened.
"What about you? We all thought you had died." Echo asked.
"I was on Coruscant when this took place. When I heard the commotion, I saw the other Jedi being killed. I helped get younglings out and then I went off on my own to find answers. Those answers led me here to you." Shaak Ti explained.
"We're glad you're here," Hunter answered.
Shaak Ti smiled softly.
"You said you were drawn here by Omega and Hunter. Did you know Hunter was force sensitive?" Tech questioned.
"Yes, I did, but I knew that if I said anything, it could hurt all of you so I stayed quiet. But I did know." Shaak Ti replied.
"DO you think you could help us?" Omega wondered.
"I would be happy to help you."
So, Shaak Ti stayed with the batch and became a mom to them. She made sure that the batch kept the ship clean and that they were clean. She made sure that everyone was hydrated and nourished properly. She made sure that everyone slept peacefully and actually went to bed. She trained Hunter and Omega and she helped them make sense of the galaxy around them. The batch was grateful to have Shaak Ti and they made that known by giving her gifts and making special meals for her. Shaak Ti fit in well with the batch and was a voice of reason. A voice that kept them safe.
