The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)
Their time at the medical building was pretty brief after the birth. Dr. Lima coached Mia through breastfeeding and demonstrated diaper changing with the infant. Right before they left, the doctors informed them on getting the baby on a schedule. And told them no baths for the next twenty-four hours. Afterwards, it will be only sponge baths until the umbilical stump falls off.
Sorcha will be quite helpful to the new parents, because she has an extended background working in Maternity Wards as a doctor for a couple decades. Something that relieved Mia greatly, because she wanted to make sure she was doing everything right. Plus, there were still many questions she may need to ask the young alien woman who became a good friend to her within the last year.
Frieza carefully flew them back to his home. Sorcha followed close behind. They landed in front of the front doors. Sorcha put in the key code on the pad off to the side, and a couple moments later, the door slid open to allow them all inside.
The tyrant carried them to the elevator and took it up to his living quarters on the top floor. Sorcha went ahead and turned down the covers so that he can place Mia and Liana on the bed and make them comfortable. He gently placed Mia who still held baby Liana down onto their bed. Mia leaned back against the pillows after Sorcha finished fluffing them up. And Frieza pulled the covers up to her waist.
"Do either of you need anything at this time?" Sorcha asks.
"Uhh, no, I think we're ok for now. Thanks, Sorcha." Mia replied.
"You're Welcome. As always, I'm one button away. Just contact me on the intercom if you two need anything." She reminded them.
"Thank You." Frieza said.
The alien woman bowed her head, before heading back to the elevator. She hadn't finished up dusting the first floor when Frieza came down with Mia earlier. So, she will go back down to finish up.
Frieza went to the other side of the bed and hopped on. He slid up next to Mia and Liana and sat beside them. Her gaze was still on their baby girl. The child that according to doctors was conceived by a stroke of luck. However, the odds, it didn't change the fact that both parents were over the moon at the moment.
Liana was still looking back and forth at her parents. Until a small yawn left her, and she started getting drowsy. She had just nursed from her mother five minutes earlier and was getting sleepy. Frieza watched as his daughter started nodding off in her mother's arms. He reached over and gently caressed her little cheek. This caused a tiny sleepy smile to appear on the baby's face.
After a couple more minutes, Liana was out. Mia carefully adjusted the blanket around her, making sure she was comfortable and warm. Their baby wasn't the only one who was tired. Mia herself was very exhausted from the birth. Even Dr. Bananan told her to get some rest as soon as they return home. He even gave her the option at first to put her in a healing tank to speed up recovery.
But Mia denied it and said she'd just relax and recover at home. In truth, she also didn't want to part from Liana. Even if it was for a little while. She stems it up to first time mom separation anxiety from her newborn. She had just been born and Mia wanted to spend each moment with her and not in a healing tank for the next half hour to forty-five minutes.
As he watched over mother and child, Frieza was deep in thought. So many thoughts and decisions were going through his mind. He was thinking about now and a little into the future. More specifically, his family's future. He knows he wants nothing but the best for them, but the tyrant also knew it may come at a cost. Something that was building up to the biggest decision of all for them.
His train of thought was broken when he felt Mia lean her head against his shoulder. Frieza leaned in and rested his cheek against the top of her head. His gaze steadily going back and forth between the two girls. Silence ensued between the pair for a few minutes as they lied there relaxing and recuperating. That is until he uttered one word.
"Alright." He said, in a quiet voice so he doesn't wake their daughter.
Mia furrowed her brows in confusion and tilted her head back to gaze at him.
"Alright for what?" She asks, barely above a whisper.
Frieza slowly reaches up to cup her cheek.
"We will go home." He says.
Confusion was still ever present in her eyes.
"What do you mean go home?" She asks.
"Earth." Frieza said.
A small gasp leaves her, did she hear him right? Did Frieza just say they were going to Earth!? It almost sounded too good to be true if that is in fact the case. Mia was so caught off guard, she didn't say anything for the first few moments.
"Really?" She gasps.
A small smile appears on his face.
"Yes." He replies.
Her eyes became glassy and a couple tears rolled down her cheeks. Before a huge smile split her face. And Mia leaned in more and captured his lips in hers for a passion filled kiss. Frieza eagerly returned the kiss. He could practically feel happiness radiating from her through the kiss they shared. A kiss filled with love and promise for a better future as a family.
They eventually pulled back to breathe. The smile still never left Mia's face though. She's not entirely sure why the sudden change of heart. But she welcomed it nonetheless. It renewed her hope for them and ensured her that their little girl will have a brighter and happier future.
"When?" She asked.
He thought for a couple moments, before giving her an answer.
"Two weeks. I want to be sure that you're well enough and strong enough for travel. So, take a couple weeks to relax, heal, and recuperate. And then we'll leave." Frieza informed her.
"And what...made you change your mind?" Mia asked.
He sighs, "Because, you were right. This is no place for her or you. I don't believe neither of you will truly be happy here. I need to stop thinking about my Empire and Dealings and think about what is best for the both of you. After all, you and Liana come first."
A couple more happy tears rolled down her cheeks and he gently wiped them away. His smile faltered when he remembered what happened prior to her water breaking.
"I'm truly sorry for the argument earlier. And even though it seemed like it at the time, I was never going to hurt you." He paused for a moment. "I know in the past, I've hurt you a lot. Please believe me when I say, I'm sorry for doing so. But the more time we spent with one another, I found myself not wanting to cause you further harm."
Mia continued to lock her gaze with his, taking in every single word.
"I don't know why, but I believe you." She says.
Frieza presses his forehead to hers. His gaze goes to their baby girl, who was still fast asleep in Mia's arms. Before his crimson eyes turn back to hers. A part of him was still not ready for this. In all his existence, the word has always eluded him. It was also something he'd never thought he'd feel. But she deserved to know. And now couldn't have been a better time.
"I Love You, Mia. And I Love Our Daughter. This is why I'm doing this." He said, finally confessing how he feels.
Her heart leapt at his words. This is the first time Frieza has ever said these words to her. And by the look in his eyes, she knew he meant it. She leaned in and pressed a small kiss to his lips.
"I Love You Too. And thank you, for finally telling us." She replied.
Frieza gently pressed his lips to hers in another kiss. She opened her mouth to deepen it, pouring every ounce of love into the kiss, before pulling back slightly. Their hearts hammered in their chests from the shared kisses.
"Things will get better for us, I promise." He told her.
"I know. Especially, now that we're going back home." Mia says.
A look of hesitance crosses his face.
"You do realize that it may not go smoothly. I can tell you right now, that the saiyans will engage me in battle once they sense me there. No doubt that they will be angry that I have kept you with me for nearly two years. When they probably thought you were dead. All I can say is hopefully it won't last too long or get out of hand completely. I just hope they will at least listen to my request and take you two to safety as far from the battlefield as possible if it comes to it." He admits.
"No, it won't come to that. It won't come to a fight. I won't let it. Give me a chance to talk to them when we arrive. I've known Goku, Vegeta, and their families for years. They will listen to what I have to say." She pauses for a moment.
"The only one I think will be the hardest to convince is Vegeta. But then he has always been very stubborn and hardheaded. But if anything, if he won't listen to me, I know he will at least listen to Bulma. She and I have been friends the longest, she is very levelheaded and will listen to what I have to say." Mia added.
"Either way, it will be home for us. Whether blows are traded or not is irrelevant. If the two monkeys still wish to blow off some steam, then let them have at it. I don't mind indulging them in combat. So long as you two are out of harms way when and if it happens." Frieza said.
"But they could end up killing you." She says, with worry in her voice.
"I'm just saying, with them it's a strong possibility for a fight to ensue, and to expect it. But you may try and convince them otherwise if you wish. Perhaps they will listen to reason." He said, reassuring her.
Mia went to say something else, but a yawn escaped her. He knows this is where they should cut the conversation and let her sleep. She's still exhausted and weak from the birth.
"I think it's best to save this conversation for later. You should rest. I'll wake you for her next feeding." Frieza says.
She opens her mouth to say something, but stops with a sigh.
"Ok." Mia agrees.
She carefully hands Liana over to him. Frieza takes the tiny infant and cradles her to his chest. While Mia slides down to lay down beside them. He reaches down and lightly cards his fingers through her long chocolate locks. After a couple minutes, she could barely keep her eyes open.
"I really hope it doesn't come to a fight though." She says, before finally falling asleep.
Frieza's hand comes to a rest near the back of her head when she fell asleep. Liana squirmed for a moment in his hold, before turning her face slightly into his warm chest. He leaned in and gently kissed her forehead. A tiny smile appeared on her face as she snuggled into him more. His concerns melted away at the cute sight.
How ironic, she was born only twenty minutes ago, and already this tiny child had this Universe's most brutal Galactic Emperor wrapped around her finger. A small chuckle left him at the thought. Funny, how all it took to tame a powerful brute like him; were these two beautiful girls. It didn't change the fact that he loved them both very much. And would protect them with his life.
Frieza just hopes his new power that he unlocked through training this past year won't have to be tested when they land on Earth. When it comes to his foes Goku and Vegeta though, it pays to be on guard and cautious. If there is one thing for certain, they will not make him leave Earth. Not this time. He and his family deserve to make a life for themselves on Earth just like the rest of them.
Well, their arrival on Earth should be quite interesting. Especially, when we can only guess how Goku and Co. will react. Until Next Time ;)
