Hello, everyone. This prompt was suggested by CT-9906. Enjoy.
The batch overlooked the fields of Lothal. They had decided to take a few days off and go someplace unique. As they landed their ship and began to explore, Omega saw something that caught her eye.
"Tech, what's that?" Omega asked as she point at a creature hiding in the grass.
"That would be a loth-cat. Fierce creatures. I would not play around with them." Tech warned.
"With any luck, we should be at that lake in an hour. Let's get moving." Hunter stated.
They started walking through the fields of Lothal finding many loth cats and even a few loth rats. When they arrived at their camping spot, they set up camp and then explored the area. They ate their supper and then they looked up at the stars seeing how many constellations they could see. Not even realizing that something was watching them deep in the grass surrounding them.
Morning came and the batch was all sprawled out across the campsite. Wrecker laid sprawled out on top of Crosshair who was curled up in a ball. Even in his sleep, it was obvious he wasn't too happy about Wrecker. Echo laid on his side snoring and drooling away. Tech sat against a tree obviously falling asleep while he was doing some research. Hunter laid on his back with Omega curled in a ball against his side. Little did they know that they were being watched.
A loth cat growled and pounced on its prey. Everyone woke to Wrecker yelling and crying out in fear and pain. They looked and saw that he was being attacked by the loth cat. Wrecker threw the loth-cat off and it growled and scurried away.
"Come on, let's eat some breakfast. Then we can go on a hike." Hunter suggested. The batch ate breakfast and then went on a hike. They sat on top of a rock for lunch and looked over the land.
Crosshair felt a breath on his shoulder and he sneered.
"Wrecker, don't breathe on me." Crosshair sneered.
"Uh, I'm not even near you." Wrecker replied. Crosshair looked behind him and gasped causing everyone else to turn. They all saw what Crosshair was seeing and they gasped. A pack of lothwolves surrounded them, but they were not afraid.
"Tech?" Hunter wondered.
"It appears we're on these lothwolves' home. Although, lothwolves are incredibly rare to find." Tech explained.
"The Empire's been burning the land and destroying many worlds including Lothal. Perhaps these wolves are being forced out of their dens." Echo explained.
"It is possible."
"It's not just the animals though. It's people. And people that never wanted war are now having to fight." Omega said.
"Indeed," Tech replied.
"IS all this running and hiding worth it?" Hunter asked as he held out his hand.
"It beats what we do now. at least with Rex, we'll know what we're fighting for." Echo sighed.
"For once." Crosshair scoffed.
"We'd be able to help people again." Wrecker chuckled.
"Rex could use our help, Hunter. We can trust him." Echo stated.
"I know. It's just… what about Omega?" Hunter sighed.
"No matter what we do, it'll always be dangerous for her. Omega will have to learn to take care of herself. We won't be here forever."
"Hunter, I think we should join Rex. We can help people who are trapped by the Empire. We can fight for those who can't." Omega said.
"Then, we'll join," Hunter replied.
After their trip, they joined Rex. This led to missions on Ryloth and other worlds. When Hera saw that Omega had joined the Rebellion, she was glad.
The batch fought for many years and were a great help to the Rebellion.
