The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

After that day at the Briefs Residence, it was a bit challenging getting back into the swing of things. Especially, since no one still trusted Frieza nor were all that happy that he was taking up residence on Earth.

Mia understood their concerns and reluctance and with their lengthy track record with the former tyrant; she doesn't blame them one bit. Hell, she felt the exact same way when she first heard about the notorious Galactic Emperor from the Z-Fighters a few years back. And he proved to be just as much a monster as they claimed him to be when he kidnapped her, brought her to his ship, and terrorized her for the next several months.

But as of today, she didn't see a trace of the ruthless tyrant he once was. Sure, he still gets mouthy with the Z-Fighters. In which a few of those instances almost turned into a full-on fight between Vegeta and Frieza, because out of everyone he irked the saiyan prince the most. Something that was not very difficult to do with the temperamental saiyan.

Mia, Goku, and Bulma had to intervene those times before a fight could break out.

"All I'm saying is at least try to make an effort to be more civil with them. Because as of now, you're not doing much in trying to show them that you're not a threat. It also won't make living situations any easier either." Mia told him one day after he had a blow out with Vegeta.

"It's not for the lack of trying. Vegeta just has a horrible habit of running his own mouth and doesn't know when to shut it. You have seen for yourself that he is the one starting these confrontations and arguments." Frieza replied, as they walked through the door to their new home.

The small family retreated to the couch in the living room. Frieza leaned back against the cushions with his infant daughter cradled to his chest. Mia sat next to them and comfortable.

"I know, and it's sadly not all that surprising. Vegeta always has voiced his protests the loudest among everyone, no matter what the subject was. I also know though that Bulma has been talking with him. It's not that he doesn't listen to her, but he's just always been very stubborn, and everything with him is a step by step process." She explains.

Frieza snorts, "You don't have to explain that to me. I've known him longer than anyone here. So, I'm well aware of how pig-headed he can be. Really no different now than what he was like when he worked under me all those years ago."

During the conversation he starts absentmindedly rubbing Liana's back. It's something Mia noticed he would do at times when he held her. Mia knew he would never admit it out loud, but he is quite protective of their child. It's been that way since her birth. He always held her very securely to him. And at times would subconsciously scan his surroundings for any possible threats. Probably something that comes hand in hand with being a new parent.

Mia places her hand on his shoulder and gives it a firm squeeze.

"I know this isn't easy for you. And I'm sorry things aren't going as smoothly as I hoped they would upon coming back here." She says.

He turns his crimson gaze to her and sees hints of guilt behind her sky-blue eyes. Frieza is unsure why she may feel guilty though. It was him they hated, not her, and certainly not Liana. They understood Mia and Liana were innocent, and that is why they still treat her with kindness, while still either glaring or giving him dirty looks. The only one who doesn't have much of a problem talking with him is Goku. And on occasion, Gohan has made small talk with the former Emperor.

Mia could barely contain her laughter when Frieza met Majin Buu for the very first time. The ancient pink blob of a being baffled him with his outwardly jovial and nonthreatening appearance and childlike attitude. She had to drink some of her water to keep from laughing when she noticed how Frieza stared at Majin Buu as he nonchalantly stuffed himself with cake and a wide variety of other deserts.

'This is the being father warned me never to challenge?' He muttered under his breath as he watched the giant pink blob shovel a whole cake into his large gaping mouth.

Frieza also became annoyed when Majin Buu referred to him as the 'Little Lizard Man' Something that made Vegeta laugh. Even Goku let out an awkward chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head, worried the former tyrant would get pissed and try to teach Buu a lesson. Luckily, Mia was able to calm him down and explain that Buu didn't know any better and didn't mean anything by it.

She silently laughed as she recalls that afternoon from a couple days ago in her mind. He noticed her smirking and her shoulders shaking. Frieza arched an eye ridge in question.

"And what is it you suddenly find amusing, Darling?" He inquires.

"Oh nothing..." She pauses for a moment. "Little Lizard Man." Mia ends with a small chuckle.

Frieza rolls his eyes and grumbles something under his breath.

"I sincerely hope that will not be a nickname for me." He said.

Mia leans her head on his shoulder, the smirk still ever present on her face.

"But it kind of does have a nice ring to it." She jokes.

"Really? I can think of plenty of new pleasant nicknames for you if that is the case. Though since the very beginning, you have been deemed 'Pain in the Ass'. And something tells me that will never change if it hasn't yet." Frieza joked back.

She opened her mouth to retort back, until they heard a whimper. Both looked down to see Liana was now wide awake. The infant whined as she glanced back and forth at her parents. Mia checked the time on her phone.

"No wonder, she's hungry." Mia said.

She pulled her loose t-shirt up and pulled her maternity bra down before gesturing for Frieza to hand the squirmy infant over. Mia gently took their daughter and held her to her chest. She latched on within moments. Mia leaned back again to get more comfortable.

They have been back on Earth for a week a now, and Frieza could tell Mia has been much happier. He may have been having a bit of a hard time adjusting. But he was relieved and happy that Mia and Liana were adjusting nicely. Their daughter certainly liked going for walks in the nearby park and was quite fascinated by the ocean when they visited the beach a couple times.

Mia looked over and noticed Frieza gazing at them.

"What?" She asks.

He shakes his head, a small smile on his face.

"Nothing, just glad to see you're both happy and adjusting well. Which made the decision coming here all the well worth it." Frieza admitted.

A smile slowly forms on her face, which only makes his smile widen more. He reaches up and tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. Before leaning in and gently kissing her brow. This affection still feels very new and strange to him, but in a good way. Mia and Liana gave him something to live and fight for. And he loved them more than anything else in the entire multiverse.

"We are more than happy." She replied.

Mia tilts her face up and plants a small kiss on the corner of his mouth. He leans in and presses his lips to hers. The kiss deepens, making their hearts pound, and sending jolts of electricity up and down their spines. Until they have to pull away for some air. He presses his forehead to hers.

"I'll try and make a better effort to get along with the others." He says.

A small chuckle escapes his lips.

"Though I don't need any effort with Goku. Since not even our third day here, he's asked me to train with him." He added.

"Yeah, nice to see some things never change with him. He's only ever been training nonstop since he was a little kid." Mia said, with some laughter in her voice.

Though it couldn't be any closer to the truth. Training and fighting were what the saiyan has always done best. She still finds it hilarious that he attacked Bulma's car when they first met as kids, because he thought it was a monster. And then Bulma told her the rest from there was history.

"You knew him for that long? I know you've told me before you have all been friends for many years. But I don't recall you mentioning that you knew him as a child." Frieza stated.

Mia shrugs, "Not as long as Bulma and Krillin have known him. But pretty close. By the time they came around looking for a dragon ball in my area, they were both teens. It was actually located in the woods behind a park that I frequented." She paused and chuckled.

"I remember nearly falling off one of the swings flat on my face when Goku landed several feet away. He looked around and caught me staring at him with my mouth practically hanging open. But then that was because I never saw someone fly before. Not only that, but he was flying on some weird yellow cloud. He smiled and came over to introduce himself. Then he asked me if I've seen a dragon ball around there.

Of course, I had no idea what it was. But I still told him I'd help him find it. He was about to say something, before he closed his mouth and looked me up and down, seeing the banged-up state I was in. My dad had thrown a fit that evening because I forgot to take the trash out and some raccoons gotten into it and made a mess of that area of the backyard.

So, he slapped me hard across the face for it. Gave me a bloodied lip and bruised cheek. Goku had asked what had happened. But I was afraid to tell him the truth. I just told him I fell off of the monkey bars on the playground. I figured at first, he bought it. Until a small frown decorated his face. I think being a fighter, he knew what really caused my injuries.

It looked like he was going to question me further, but he stopped when he noticed how uncomfortable I was. Then a smile appeared back on his face and he said I can help him and his friend find it. I didn't know what he meant by friend because he was alone, or so I thought. I heard a rumbling sound and looked up to see a small craft coming in.

The craft landed on the grass not far from the playground. An older teenage girl came out. She was pretty pissed because Goku flew ahead and her craft couldn't keep up with him. He also had the dragon ball radar, so hence she was flying blind without it. He did a lot of apologizing, before she swiped the radar from his hands.

Not a few moments later she noticed me. She introduced herself as Bulma. And then she asked if I was ok, because she too noticed my disheveled appearance and my injured face. Luckily, she didn't ask what happened. Probably because Goku beat her to it and told her I fell.

Then he turned back to me and told me how Bulma fell not that long ago too. Apparently, they were eating lunch and Goku finished a banana and tossed the peal on the floor. She didn't notice it and he said she fell backwards hard. And he saw her funny looking undies with cartoon kitties on them. I recall her face growing bright red, and she started yelling at him again. I couldn't help but laugh a little at their antics. They fought like siblings. Goku then proceeded to tell her that I would help them find the dragon ball.

It was a bit of a hike through the woods, but we made it and found the dragon ball. It was buried in some dirt and roots by an old, uprooted tree. I remember thinking it was a pretty orange ball. And not long after, they told me all about them and what they do.

I love fairytales as much as the next kid. But even then, I had a hard time believing that seven little glass looking balls granted wishes. But they were both adamant it was the truth. They told me they have collected all of them at least once before and have seen the dragon themselves. By the end of the story, I could almost believe it. After all, I did just see Goku dropped to the ground from a flying yellow cloud. Something that wasn't supposed to be possible." She stated.

"Did you go with them to find the rest?" Frieza asked.

Mia shook her head.

"No, as much as I wanted to, I couldn't. I was afraid to leave home. If I did and didn't come back for a while, it would just lead to so many questions and accusations from my parents, and possibly another beating. But they never forgot me after that day. Just as I never forgot them. And it showed when Bulma started contacting me not long after she gave me her number before leaving that day with the dragon ball. And we've kept in touch ever since." She replied.

Frieza understood her fear over leaving. He knew enough about the two insects that called themselves her parents. And she wore the proof of their abuse on her body. It was all the more reason why in their last months together, he didn't want to lay a hand on her again. Because she had already been through enough.

"At least in the end, you got away, and you survived." He said.

She smiled, "Yeah, and I couldn't have asked for a better future. With you and with our daughter."

"And it should be a rather interesting and exciting future. Especially, if our little one is going to be as active as I believe she'll be." Frieza told her.

Several minutes later, Mia finished nursing Liana. She gave her back to her father, so she could fix her bra and shirt. Frieza rubbed the infant's back until she burped, then held her as she dozed off.

Mia feels he will get the hang of this new normalcy soon. They just needed to take it one step at a time.

Hope everyone enjoyed the cute family fluff in this chapter. I couldn't resist adding some humor in there about Frieza's first impression of meeting Majin Buu. And I can only imagine it would be something like that. Considering Majin Buu refers to Lord Beerus as 'Cat' and referred to the Trio of Danger as 'Doggies' that he wanted to play with. So, him calling Frieza 'Little Lizard Man' is not out of the realm of possibilities. Until Next Time ;)
