If you asked Peter Parker he would say that technically speaking he actually had two wives though on paper and to most people he only has one. Well thanks to a magical adventure his wife Mary Jane Watson-Parker had been possessed by the spirit of a female barbarian adventurer known as Red Sonja. After an uneasy start they had teamed together but in the aftermath, MJ was now stuck with sharing her body with Sonja.
It took some time but they were able to adjust though with arguments about Sonja wanting to go 'adventuring' with Peter as Spider-Man. He could appreciate a badass kick butt warrior woman from the past wanting to continue in the present but her methods of lethal fighting with weapons and the fact that MJ's body would not be trained to handle being a non-powered vigilante. Plus the fact that Sonja intended to forgo any mask if not a weapon so to everyone it would be famous up and coming model and actress Mary Jane Watson and the fact that MJ would be scarred to life to think that her own body was being used to kill. She had less of a problem if Sonja was using her warrior expertise against a monster of some sort.
Soon they got more used to the arrangement, plus Peter could see Sonja got more comfortable acting as MJ when they were out in the public and playing the role of his wife. It was clear to the actual married couple that Sonja was developing feelings for him and after a talk (especially with Sonja and MJ inside their head) it would be that basically MJ was now sharing her marriage with Peter as well as her body. She was given consent to use her body in private time with Peter so none of the implications of Wonder Woman 1984.
Off course allowing Sonja to act as if she was in her own body was within reason as MJ practically dreaded getting control of her body back to find herself all natural or close to it in a bed with strangers, the taste of alcohol on her lips, tattoos that she would never even thinking of getting if she was interested in getting tattoos and the police ready to barge down the door.
Peter came home and found Sonja clearly in control as he his jaw dropped at the sight of her practicing with a training dummy in what was basically leather boots, a skimpy chainmail bikini and a thong with a bit of chainmail as a loincloth. From what Sonja said this was her battle attire from back in her time and the barbarian Conan was going about in a loincloth, Peter had absolutely no clue whatsoever how they survived a battle since with body armor shouldn't it have been easy to find a good place to stab or fire.
Since they left nothing to the imagination.
"To think you wanted to go out and fight crime like this? Imagine the nightmare that MJ's agent and PR team would have to face if she was seen looking like she was in a fantasy themed photoshoot skewering criminals with an actual blade." Peter told her and Sonja faced him smirking at the big grin on his face.
"I don't know why you think you have any right in talking about my clothing like that when you go on your crusades dressed in those ugly bright colors." Sonja and Peter was ready to fight back especially considering that she was a redhead and red was a dominant color in his outfit but a full on make out she initiated with his arms around her scantily clad body killed any response from him. It was amazing how different kissing Sonja was from MJ despite them having the same lips. Once they let go Sonja smirked as if Peter was prey and told him "how about I show you how well I have been doing in my combat practice? The victor shall take the lead in the bedroom?"
Before Peter could response he noticed a figure outside the window on a ladder with a camera disguised as a window washer. Probably paparazzi thinking he had scored a photo of Mary Jane Watson in a fantasy role play session in her husband. "I am going to change and deal with this peeping tom." Peter sighed looking at Sonja's face and this poor sod should be thanking god that he would be dealing with Spider-Man and not Red Sonja.
His death would be painful as well as long and drawn out before Sonja would let him die.
Just like with licenses like briefly Transformers, ROM: Space Knight and even Godzilla the classic characters Conan the Barbarian (with a live action movie that helped launch Arnold Schwarzenegger's career) and Red Sonja were made canon to the Marvel Universe and Conan is now again once Marvel regained his comics rights and even made him part of an Avengers team. Marvel had Red Sonja team up with Spidey in an issue of Marvel Team Ups and they ended up doing a miniseries which was both a sequel and a retelling to that story.
Plus guess what the one eyed demon Shuma-Gorath (if you're like me you first knew of his existence thanks to Marvel V Capcom 3) actually came from a short story by Conan creator Robert E. Howard starring his earlier less known creator Kull the Conqueror. This actually gave Marvel Studio some legal issues since that means they don't have the movie rights so that's why he is called Gargantos in the upcoming Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Yeah despite having renegotiation with Sony and having bought Fox Studios, Marvel is still dealing with rights issues in the movies.
Also funny enough earlier today I was watching a bit of Bob's Burgers on Disney Plus and a little later on YouTube I saw that they released the first trailer for the movie hours ago. I just love that it starts out as like a burger restaurant commercial.
