CHAPTER 7

Back in Kakariko Village, the Village Elders are shaking Peach's hand. "Peach, you've done so much for us! I think we should reward you with a position as one of the leaders of the Yellow Toads!"

"Thank you, it's an honor!" Peach declares. "However, I'm already the leader of the Red Toads! I wish to form an alliance once again, one where we can take down a much bigger threat"

"Ah you mean Ganon?" Says one of the Elders "Yes, in exchange for removing Ganon from power, the Brothers of the Sun will happily realign with the Red and Orange Toads".

"Yes! Exactly! Thank you so much!" Peach smiles.

"So what is it we're going to call ourselves?" General Naranjo asks.

"Well," Peach ponders. "If we're trying to recruit ALL the Toad Tribes. We form a Rainbow of Colors, so how about "The Rainbow Alliance"?"

"Sounds good to me!" The other Toads agree.

"We'll make the announcement tomorrow morning!" Peach concludes. "Now I believe it's time for us to leave."

As she and her army of Orange Toads leave, they're met with Link and Zelda at the edge of the bridge.

"Hold it" Zelda says, "That man who was trying to capture the Yellow Toad Elders. He was from your Kingdom, wasn't he?"

"He was!" Peach confirms.

"Do you happen to know why he was trying to kidnap them?" Zelda asks.

"No, I have no clue" Peach answers.

"Well, if he's with Bowser, we should find out." General Naranjo adds.

"It's not just Bowser," Zelda interrupts. "I recognize that being's shadowy appearance. He's a general for the evil King Ganon. He recently took over my castle with that "Bowser" fellow".

"I see." Peach said. "Well, you needn't worry. I'll personally go rescue Mario and bring him back to MY castle. You two stay here, and I'll return with-"

"No, this has gone well beyond your Kingdom" Zelda interrupts again. "You'll need me and Link to assist in this battle. Please, allow us to travel with you."

"Of course!" Peach agreed.

"Good! Let's go!" Zelda exclaimed. Peach calls for a warp pipe, Naranjo and his Toads enter, followed by Zelda, leaving Peach and Link behind.

"I'm sorry, I don't I think I ever formally introduced myself to you." Peach says, turning to Link. "My name is Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom. What was your name again?"

Link takes his sword out and writes his name into the dirt with it.

"Link, eh?...You don't talk much do you?...Do you talk at all?"

Link shrugs and shakes his head.

"Well you're a strong silent type, I'll honestly take that over Naranjo's loud obnoxious military dialogue." Peach giggles.

Link puts his hand over his mouth to stifle a laugh.

"Seriously? You can't even make sounds?" Peach asks.

Link shrugs again.

"That's sad…I hope we can break that by the time we're done with this. Come on, we should catch up with the others."

Link gives a thumbs up, He and Peach enter the warp pipe.

Peach, Naranjo, Link, and Zelda are leading the Orange Toad army through the Mushroom Kingdom pipes.

"Ok men" Naranjo says. "You all head back to Shiver City. I can't afford to risk having a Toad MIA."

"But sir!" One of the soldiers protests. "We came all this way just to help you, and you're going to leave without us?!"

"We'll come back for you, Soldier" The General says, putting his hand on the Toad's shoulder. "The best thing for you all right now is to rebuild Shiver City."

The Orange Toads stay behind for a moment to say goodbye to their friends.

"Goodbye my friends, until we meet again" Naranjo waves, he then turns to the rest of their team. "Ok, the Green Toads should be positioned at Yoshi Island. The warp pipe there is this way." Naranjo leads the group to the Island's warp pipe.

The Rainbow Alliance arrives at Yoshi Island. There they see the Green Toads preparing to launch an attack against someone.

"Hold it right there!" One of the Toad yells, they grab spears and surround the party. "State your business! Leaders of the Red and Orange Toad Tribes!"

"I've come here to request an alliance," Peach explains. "To defeat Bowser together! We have a common enemy!"

"I agree! Bowser's tyranny must end" The Green Toad replies. "However, we have our own issues. The Blue Toads are leading a naval attack on our poor islands!"

The Green Toad points out pirate ships that bear the flag of the Blue Toads.

"We've got to stop those pirates!" The Green Toad exclaims. "We'll give you as much help as possible, but first we need to protect our islands!"

"I understand"

"The one time I send my army away, is when we have a naval opponent!" Complains Naranjo.

"It's okay General" Peach assures him, "I know you're trying to do your best."

"Well, I guess we'll just have to postpone the alliance for another day" The Green Toad says.

"Maybe not" Zelda implores "We do have someone who's great at taking down Pirates".

Link changes into the Zora tunic and swims out to the Pirate Ship. He grabs the rope ladder, climbs up and enters the ship.

"Who goes there?!" A voice calls from above.

A giant Fire Bro lands from the crow's nest, he wears an eyepatch and has a hideous third degree burn on his face. "I be "Burnscar"! The nastiest pirate of the seven seas! And I be representing the Blue Toads in this conquest of Yoshi Island! You better be able to do some damage or else you'll be dinner for me crew!"

Burnscar and Link begin dueling with their swords.

"What a great weapon!" Burnscar says, admiring Link's Master Sword. "I bet it'd be worth a pretty penny at the pawn shop!"

Link glares at Burnscar and counters one of the sword swings.

"Ha ha! Take that, ya fish-faced flopfish!" Burnscar says after tripping Link, but Link recovers in time to block Burnscar's next swing.

"Hah! What's wrong, baby face? Can't hack it with the big boys?"

Link attacks again, this time he slices Burnscar across the chest, causing his tunic to rip apart.

"I'll be back for you, kid! Or else I not be called "The King of Fire Bros!"" Burnscar promises, before flying off on a giant propeller blade he keeps in his hand.

Link pulls out a bomb, lights it on fire, throws it into the ship's hull then jumps out to safety. He reveals the Blue Toad flag was a fake.

"Nice job, Link!" Peach praises.

"Wow! It looks like the Blue Toads weren't actually launching an attack on your island after all." Zelda told the Green Toads.

A Green Toad shakes his head. "How could we have been so stupid?" He asked himself.

A large Yoshi with a flower crown walks up to the Rainbow Alliance. "My name is Yashil. I am the Chief of this Island." He introduces himself. "As these kind hearted Green Toads have allied with the Yoshi Tribe, I have been crowned their leader. I am pleased to meet you"

Peach bows. "It is an honor to meet you. My name is Peach. I'm the chief of the Red Toads. We have come to ask your help in defeating King Bowser"

"Oh we'd be quite pleased to assist you, especially after you saved us from those pirates" Yashil then frowns. "However, we have a more pressing manner to deal with before we can align with your army."

"For sure!" Peach declares. What do you need help with?!

"Well you see, my new queen has been kidnapped!" Yashil frantically says. "She's being held...in there!"

Yashil points to a nearby Volcano which is smoking.

"Have no fear, Chief!" General Naranjo declares. "We'll rescue your queen before you can say CUNGADERO!"

The team march into the Volcano, The Yoshi Chief accompanies them.
