CHAPTER 15

Back in the castle's dungeon maze, Luigi is still trying to sneak around without getting King Dodongo's attention. Suddenly, he hears incredibly loud and incredibly close footsteps behind him. He turns around to see King Dodongo standing there, it roars in his face.

"YIPES!" yells Luigi as he begins to flee from the monster.

King Dodongo chases him around the maze until he finally slams into a wall, Luigi turns and sees he's hit a dead end and King Dodongo is charging towards him like a T-Rex to a meal covered in BBQ sauce.

"HELP!" cries Luigi, desperately clawing at the wall. One of the stones he grabs at it, pushes inward.

Suddenly, a giant arm reaches down from the ceiling, grabs King Dodongo's head and crushes it.

"Huh?" Luigi says, investigating the top of the ceiling. It seems like he activated a trap that caused a statue to strike down and crush King Dodongo.

Luigi notices the pedestal has a small switch on it. He presses it and the floor beneath King Dodongo opens up and he falls down into a pit, skewered by a spike trap. "Oops," Luigi says as he tiptoes around the pit.

King Dodongo emerges from the hole and makes his way towards Luigi.

"Can nothing kill this thing?!" yells Luigi as he runs through a cell-door. King Dodongo charges in and sticks his head through the door.

"YAAAAA!" screams Luigi as he jumps onto King Dodongo's head repeatedly. King Dodongo tries to force Luigi off, but his head is stuck in the doorway.

"I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU GET AWAY WITH EATING ANYONE ELSE!" screams Luigi.

King Dodongo rips his head out of the doorway and tosses the cell door aside before turning his attention back to Luigi...who has disappeared while King Dodongo was momentarily distracted.

King Dodongo sniffs around for Luigi, but suddenly there's a rumbling below him.

"Hiya!" Luigi says, revealing he has pulled a switch. King Dodongo has stepped into another trap! He looks down and sees it is too late; he has fallen into another pit!

King Dodongo immediately starts to climb out of the pit, only to see Luigi at the top.

"Die Monster! You don't belong in this world!" as he begins throwing large rocks down at King Dodongo.

King Dodongo continues climbing out of the pit, but the stones keep falling down on top of him.

"Curse you, foul beast!" Luigi yells.

As King Dodongo reaches his claws up to the surface, Luigi begins jumping up and down on his fingers. Trying to break their grip.

"Why aren't you letting go?! Why won't you die?!" Luigi yells.

As King Dodongo's head reaches the surface, Luigi jumps repeatedly up and down on it. Anything he can do to kill this creature.

Finally, as Luigi's about to give up and accept his fate, King Dodongo lets out a large screech and falls back into the pit. He falls into a nest of spikes, which impales him to the point of death.

Luigi, exhausted from the adrenaline rush, collapses on the ground after seeing he's safe. He welcomes the cold hard dirt floor like a fluffy mattress after a long day of hard physical labor.

Upstairs, Bowser and Ganon are with Dark Mario.

"I can feel my Morpheel has failed," Ganon says. "Bowser, if we are to prevent this rebellion, we need to pull out all the stops on the Purple Toads".

"Agreed" says Bowser. "First, we must get rid of that pesky fake "hero" before he gets in the way again!"

Ganon's eyes light up with a fire inside him, grimacing at Dark Mario whose torturing a poor moblin.

"What?" asks Dark Mario. "What did he say?"

"You know what we're planning," says Ganon.

"Yes," says Dark Mario. "We need to get rid of the Purple Toads."

"Correction" Ganon says. "YOU need to get rid of the Purple Toads. You are going to head out with Burnscar and Doopliss and finish off those heroes in a final stand. There will be no fleeing back to HQ during this mission. Do I make myself clear?"

"Perfectly" responds Dark Mario.

"Good" says Ganon as he begins walking away. Ganon sets up a portal for Dark Mario to meet with the others.

"Hold up!" says Dark Mario. "How are you going to stop them? We can't even fight them! There's six of them now! Everyone we've sent to stop them has failed!"

"That's your problem!" yells Bowser as he picks up Dark Mario and throws him into the portal.

"Wait!" shouts Dark Mario as he disappears into the portal. Ganon shuts it.

"Bowser, while I have full confidence an imitation of myself and Dark Mario can stop these forces. It may be best to prepare for a full-on attack on our castle".

"Fine." says Bowser. "Do it however you please".

Ganon walks up to Bowser. "Give me your hand."

Bowser sticks his hand out and Ganondorf holds it. Both their halves of the triforce of power begin to light up.

"Now, use it to summon my minions. They can help us defeat them. I will do the same with yours."

Bowser hesitates a moment, but nods and they both summon waves upon waves of enemies. The two of them begin laughing maniacally as do the minions.

"Excellent" says Ganon. "That was but a mere taste of the triforce's power! Now, let me show you what it can really do."

Bowser grins "You mean this thing can do even more than that?!"

"Concentrate on thinking about power," Ganon says. "Think about all the absolute power you need to crush your strongest enemies. Think about the monster you've always wanted to be deep down! This is the triforce's power!"

Bowser does so and his triforce half begins to glow, then soon he begins to grow. Ganondorf looks up at Bowser...and up...and up. The minions begin to look a little worried seeing the new form of their beast like master.

"Utterly beautiful," says Ganon. "It's like you were born to have this power!"

The intense being that was once Bowser roars with laughter, causing the newly spawned minions to cower in terror.
