Before we get to the fic, I just want to say that this wasn't ment to come out at this time. More like January or Febuary. But I've decided I'd like to get into the fic-ing biz, as I've gotten another idea recently. As for the fic, this is pwp (fluff) in honor of Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki. So, without further ado, "Spring Cleaning"!
It was that season again. The New Year's hangovers were beginning to fade, and a few early birds were beginning to find the trees not so bare. All was calm in the early morning at Sanzo's t-
"What do you think you're doing, you damn kappa!"
"Oh, does his great highness have a problem with how I'm sweeping the snow off his GOD DAMN STEPS?"
Well, not really.
On the other side of the temple, things were decidedly a bit more peaceful. Hakkai was trying to show Goku that painting means getting more paint on the wall then one's self.
"Hey, Hakkai," Goku interrupted one of Hakkai's lectures on something that was probably important, "If Sanzo and Gojyo are always fighting, why'd he ask him to help this weekend anyways?"
"Hm?" he looked up from his brush, "Oh, well, it's a little complex, but there is a reason. Are you sure you want to know?"
"Tell!" Goku jabbed his brush at Hakkai, flicking paint everywhere.
"Fine, fine, fine. Let's see… What goes on between Gojyo and Sanzo is kinda what goes on between you and a chef: You'll eat as much as you can because the food is good, but since your mouth is full, you can't say how much you like it out loud. However, the chef knows that you like his food because you've eaten everything he has to make."
"Oh, so if I eat everything, the cook will know I love it?"
"Ah, well, not quite." Hakkai hoped that Goku wouldn't have a problem with being wrong. He had been doing well for a while now. "Think more like you're too busy eating to say anything, and yet because of this the cook knows. Does that make sense?"
"Erm…" Hakkai could see the cogs begin to click into place in Goku's head, "so, because of what I do, he'll know I like his food, even if I don't say anything?" Goku looked hopeful for approval.
"Exactly! The same applies to Sanzo and Gojyo. Instead of eating, they help each other out. Even if they seem to hate each other, deep down, I think they do care for each other. But if only a little bit. Their actions show what they really think of one another."
"So if I wanted to show someone that I cared for them, I would just have to be helpful and do nice things for them?"
"Pretty much, Goku. Now, why don't we show Sanzo that we can get work done while we talk?"
"Mm-hm!"
