Chapter 2

It had been two days since Claire met everyone, she spent a lot of her time talking to Virgil. Right now Claire was sitting talking to Penny while watching the boys and Kayo do self defence training.

Penny says to Claire. "I've noticed that you have been spending time with Virgil"

Claire saw a glint in Penny's eyes and blushes. " yes I have been talking a lot with Virgil"

Penny smiles. " what do you think of Virgil?"

Claire looks to Virgil who waiting for his turn, he turns and winks at Claire making her blush even more. "He's charming, sweet, gentle, kind and he knows how to make me laugh"

Penny couldn't help but chuckle. "I think you have feelings for Virgil"

Claire turns to Penny. "I don't Know... I thought that I liked Scott, but he hasn't said much to me"

Penny nods gently. "That's probably because Scott knows how Virgil feels for you"

Claire turns back to watch Virgil and she sighs. "What am I going to do?"

"Only you can decide that... you know that you will have to tell Virgil and the others your secret"

Claire looks to Penny with fear in her eyes. "I don't know if I can"

Penny put her hand on Claire's shoulder gently. "You don't have to tell them know, you can tell them when your ready to"

Claire calms down and turns to watch Virgil and she couldn't talk her eyes off of Virgil, he was training in self defence with his brothers and sister.

Virgil was training with Gordon. "You can't beat me Gordon"

Gordon laughs and replies. "You wanna bet?"

Gordon went for Virgil by trying to hit him, but Virgil moved out of the way and grabs Gordon in a headlock.

Virgil had a tight grip on Gordon. "Do you give in little bro?"

Gordon didn't want to give in but Virgil was stronger than him. "Yes I give in because your stronger than me"

Virgil let's him go just as Kayo calls out to her brothers. "Ok boys that's it for self defence... lets try the assault course"

Alan complains muttering under his breath, but does as he is told. The boys follow Kayo and begin the assault course, with Scott and Virgil in the lead.

Claire watch's Virgil more that his brothers or Kayo. She couldn't explain what she felt for Virgil, but when she's around him she felt comfortable and warm inside.

Claire says out loud. "I'm so confused... I think I have feelings for Virgil"

Penny smiles. "You should tell Virgil"

Claire look to Penny. "I don't know... maybe I will"

Claire went back to watching Virgil and smiles. Virgil and Scott beat the others to the end of the assault course. Virgil looks to see Claire watching him and he smiles and winks at her making her blush.

After they finished everyone went and changed before joining the others in the living room. Alan and Kayo sat by the window, Virgil sat by the fire place drawing, Gordon was sitting on the other side of the fire place and Scott was sitting opposite the fire place with John standing behind him.

Claire was standing outside on the porch getting some fresh air, she was thinking to herself.

Claire's thoughts- I know that I have to tell them... but I'm just not ready to tell them yet, what if they ignore me of ab

Claire was brought out of her thoughts by a alarm going off, after a few minutes Alan came outside just at TS and FAB1 took off.

Claire turns to Alan and asked. "What's going on Alan?"

Alan replies. "Someone or something tripped the alarm off"

Alan went back inside and Claire followed, she sat next to Alan by the window. Claire was miles away thinking to herself again.

Claire's thoughts- I wander why Scott ignores me... and there's Virgil, why does he like spending time with me... I have to admit that Virgil is really handsome... did I just think that... oh no I think I'm falling in love with Virgil...

Claire was brought out of her thoughts by someone gently putting their hand on her shoulder, she turns to see Virgil looking at her worriedly.

Virgil asks. "Are you ok Claire?"

Claire blushes and her reply came out as a whisper. "Yes I'm fine thank you"

Virgil still looks at her worriedly. "Are you sure?"

Before Claire could answer, Kayo and Penny pop up on the hologram and Penny says. "A little fox tripped the alarm"

Scott replies "Ok is the fox hurt?"

Penny nods gently. "Yes the fox is hurt, but I think it will be ok in a few days"

Scott nods. Ok bring the fox back here so we can treat it"

Penny nods and she and Kayo returned with the little fox. Once they returned to the ranch, Kayo enters the living and puts the fox down gently. Grandma Tracy had gotten the first aid kit to clean and bandage the fox's wound.

Grandma Tracy looks up. " the little guy just needs some rest now"

The little fox curled up in a ball in front of the fire place and fell asleep.

Scott sees. "Looks like he has the right idea"

Grandma chuckles. "Yes he does but we better have some dinner first"

Grandma went to the kitchen and made everyone dinner. Everyone sat at the table to eat their dinner, Virgil sat next to Claire and talked to her.

By the time everyone finished they all went back to the living room to relax. Claire said that she would wash up their plates and Virgil had also stayed to help her by drying and putting the plates away. Once they were done they both joined everyone else and relaxed for a while before turning in for the night.

It was after midnight when Claire was having a nightmare, one that she wished she didn't have. Claire was tossing and turning in bed, she was already damp with sweat.

The nightmare begins...
