CHAPTER 39
9 Hours Remain
Peach, Link, and Zelda are warped into a ballroom extremely similar to the one they were just in, except the floor is empty and a grand chandelier hangs from the ceiling. Ganon arrives in the center of the room.
"Greetings," Ganon says. "I see you made it safely through the portals. I apologize for the long wait, jumping universes with magic isn't exactly as fast as science can provide."
"You're stalling!" Zelda yells, pointing at Ganon. "You're buying as much time as possible for the Moon of Majora to land!"
Ganon smiles and walks toward Zelda.
" Zelda's right!" Peach shouts. "We're wasting our time! Ganon! Prepare yourself for a fight!"
Peach's, Link's, and Zelda's pieces of the Triforce light up. Ganon simply smirks.
"Hmph" Ganon muses. "It seems you too have learned how to split the Triforce...very well. I'll just take all of them for myself!"
A dark aura leaves Ganon's mouth and envelopes him. Soon emerging from the smoke is a giant beast, larger than Link even!
Azura, Yashil, Maxil have warped to a giant green rock in the sky, several bombs surround the barrier. Bowser lands in the center of it.
"This is where you three will fall!" Bowser says.
"Get behind us Maxil!" Azura says as she and Yashil stand their ground to Bowser.
"Kneel before me, you pathetic little rats!" Bowser growls. He punches the ground with his fist, sending a wave of jagged stones towards the trio. Azura and Yashil grab Maxil and jump over it, but the last one hits Yashil in the chest knocking him to the ground after tossing Maxil to Azura.
"Mr. Dino!" Maxil screams.
Naranjo, Daisy, and Burnscar have been warped onto a flying platform in space. Kammy flies in on her broomstick.
"Greetings! Worms!" Kammy screeches and cackles toward the trio.
"What the hell do you want?!" Daisy screeches.
"Oh, dear Princess!" Kammy chirps. "Don't be upset! I have come to show you mercy! Having you be torn to shreds by Lord Bowser or Ganon would've been a much more painful way to go!"
"I think you got that backwards, you old witch!" Naranjo says, pulling out a Bob-omb. "You're the one who's lucky! We plan to finish you off real quick! There's three of us, and only one of you!"
"Oh hush!" Kammy says. She points her wand at the trio. "You poor fools! You've made such a mess of things I hardly know where to start! Kammy waves her hand and makes two clones of herself! "I am merciful though! Let's make this a fair fight!"
Ganon summons two massive swords into his hands. He charges at the Triforce Trio.
"No!" Peach shouts, summoning a large barrier of light appearing before them. "You can't beat us! We have the Triforce!"
"That's just what I'm going to prove! Prove that you are not worthy of such power!" Ganon yells. Bashing his swords upon the barrier!
Link rolls out of the barrier and flanks Ganon, swiping one of his swords out of his hands.
"Ha! So the Little Mushroom girl can use the Triforce after all!" Ganon says. He summons another sword within his free hand and swings it at Link. Before the blade can connect, Link uses the sword he swiped to block it.
"He's distracted, lower the shield!" Orders Zelda.
Peach does so and Zelda fires a magical blast at Ganon. The blast hits Ganon and knocks him back.
"Hmph, I won't allow such a trick to happen again!" Ganon says.
Bowser approaches the downed Yashil and steps on his back with his big, clawed foot. "Prepare to be roasted like the pig you are!" Bowser yells.
Yashil grabs Bowser by the ankle. "No!" He yells, pulling him down to his shell. He begins to spin in place, hurling Bowser around like a shotput until eventually throwing Bowser into a bomb! The explosion sends Bowser flying into the air where he crashes into the ground. A piece of the giant platform they're on falls to the ground.
"You just got lucky!" Bowser growls.
Kammy and her three clones fire their magic wands at Naranjo, Daisy, and Burnscar. The spells explode, but Naranjo, Daisy, and Burnscar are able to dodge them.
"We need something stronger!" Kammy says. "Hit them with steel crates!"
Kammy and her two clones summon giant steel crates and hurl them at the trio. They all dodge them, but the Kammys continue firing their wands.
"Maybe we should stop fighting and talk this out!" Daisy says.
"Yeah, you're right!" Kammy says sarcastically, "Oh wait, I'm three squished worms away from owning all your kingdoms! However, I'll stop firing at you if you willingly surrender Sarasaland to me!"
"What?!" Daisy yells, dodging the steel crates.
"Yes, Queen Kammy Koopa of Sarasaland sounds like a marvelous title! Don't you think, dearie?" Kammy says, closing in on the trio. "Oh, don't worry, this is only the first step in my takeover!"
"I suppose we must give up everything then..." Daisy says.
"That's a good girl! Ok ladies, stop firing!" The Kammys cease.
"Oh wait! I forgot I have a Bullet Bill launcher!" Daisy smirks, she whips it out and fires three Bullet Bills at the Kammys. The Kammys dodge them easily.
"Hey!" Kammy scoffs, "If we can't get them with magic, we'll just shoot them with Bullet Bills!"
The Kammys summon Bullet Bills of their own which charge toward the trio.
"Try this on for size!" Ganon yells, as he turns himself invisible.
Link's Triforce piece lights up and he does a spinning slash, cutting Ganon. Causing him to yell in pain.
Ganon disappears again and reappears next to Link. He slams him into the ground. "You're lucky you get to keep your life at this point! Surrender the Triforce to me" He says.
"We're not finished yet!" Zelda says. Launching another magical blast at where Ganon's voice came from. Ganon is hit, is launched back, his invisibility spell fades.
"Hmph. New plan" Ganon says.
Bowser teleports in front of Yashil and thrusts his pincers at him. Yashil fails to dodge Bowser, grunting in pain.
"What's wrong?" Bowser asks. "Can't take on someone your own size!"
Bowser tries to slash at Yashil, but Yashil grabs his wrist. He stands, his wound has healed.
"What the?!" Bowser yells.
"Fish Lady used a magic spell!" Maxil cheers.
"...Uh oh" Bowser says as Yashil headbutts him, spins him around and throws him into another bomb.
"Ow..."Bowser grunts.
Daisy, Naranjo, and Burnscar keep trying to dodge the Bullet Bills.
"Why do you keep dodging them?!" Kammy laughs. "They're going to hit you anyway!"
"I got an idea!" Burnscar says, he jumps onto a Bullet Bill and it flies toward one of the Kammys, making it disappear
"Good idea!" Naranjo says, doing the exact same thing. Another Kammy clone disappears.
"Right behind ya!" Daisy yells, grabbing onto a Bullet Bill and riding it into the real Kammy. The Bullet Bill explodes! Daisy jumps down from the explosion as Kammy falls to the ground. Her broom in pieces.
"That was fun!" Daisy laughs.
"You little brat!" Kammy snarls.
"Are you done yet?" Daisy asks.
"I'm gonna kill you!" Kammy shouts.
"Yeah yeah!" Daisy says, picking Kammy up by her cloak. "Listen, just warp us back already and we'll pretend to call it a draw."
"Fine!" Kammy sighs. Summoning a portal which takes the four of them back to Ganon's Tower.
"Enough playing around!" Bowser roars as he breaks the platform they're on to break into the shape of a star! Azura and Maxil are on one of the pieces falling.
"Oh no!" Yashil screams.
"I got this!" Maxil yells.
Maxil grabs Azura and teleports himself and Azura to safety.
"Maxil!" Azura says, astonished. "I had no idea who had the ability to do that!"
"You never asked!" Maxil smiles beneath his skull mask.
"Well, I'm glad you're safe!" Yashil says.
"I'm sure there's a lesson in here somewhere!" Maxil chuckles.
"Yeah! It's called "Stand still and let me destroy you!"" Bowser yells charging towards the three.
"Don't worry!" Yashil says. "We're all together now!"
"You heard the man!" Bowser yells. He raises his pincers and just as he's about to make contact with the three, Maxil teleports them and Bowser slashes a bomb.
"OH FOR THE LOVE OF-"
BOOOOOOOM!
Bowser lands in the center of the battlefield, struggling to get up.
"So...I guess this is it for me!" Bowser says.
"No!" Azura says. "Send us back! We have unfinished business with Ganon!
"Whatever..." Bowser says, snapping his fingers, and sending all four back to Ganon's Tower.
"There, finished!" Zelda says, launching her Light Arrow at Ganon.
Ganon takes the arrow to the chest and is blown back. Ganon stumbles to the ground, heaving in pain.
"Curse you two!...Curse you three!" Ganon grunts.
"We're still gonna kill you!" Zelda says, firing another blast at Ganon.
Ganon dodges and falls to his knees, looking up at Zelda. He tries to stand, but falls to his knees again..
"No...it's not worth it trying to take the Triforce myself."
"That's better," Peach says, crossing her arms.
"No...I have a much easier way to do that." Ganon grins, snapping his fingers and sending them back to his tower.
All twelve of the combatants have returned to Ganon's Ballroom. Ganon tries to look strong as he observes his two allies.
"Hmph," Ganon scoffs. "I see you two failed to hold up your parts of the battle!"
"Oh yes, because you did so well against us!" Peach says, slapping Ganon on his upper back. Causing him to almost collapse.
"Don't mock me!" Ganon snarls. "You all will die here today!"
"Why would you say something like that?" Yashil asks, confused. "We've just defeated all three of you."
"My fight was a draw!" Kammy declares, still being held by Daisy.
"Because I have the power to make that happen!" Ganon says. He reaches for Bowser who's still on the ground in pain. "Bowser! I bequeath you the Triforce of Power! "
The Triforce of Power fades from Ganon's hand and reappears in Bowser's, this time in its full form. It shines brightly within him, Bowser gets up. He opens his eyes, revealing his pupils have turned a bright yellow. Bowser chuckles then roars as lightning comes out of him and he grows to the size of a kaiju, destroying most of the ballroom everyone is standing on. A Dark Aura takes over his body as his fiery red hair becomes literal fire.
"I! Am! Calamity Bowser!" Bowser declares in a thunderous shout that can be heard from the heavens.
