AU: In the Galtea Realm, ruled by the evil tyrant Emperor Zarkon, an Altean prodigy is born and sent to Earth Realm as an infant and raised by Hanzo Hasashi of the Shirai Ryu clan and lives happily with her adopted family. But when her adopted family and entire clan are slaughtered by Sub Zero, of the Lin Kuei clan, she vows revenge and goes on a journey that will test her might!

5. Chapter 5

Revenge and Resurrection of Heart

Just as the sun was about to set, the main doors of Shang Tsung's temple opened, revealing Kitana, who entered. She sighed, thinking of what Liu Kang told her.

But upon thinking of Liu Kang, she formed a small smile, seeing he was an honorable man. 'Liu…' Kitana mentally prayed. 'I don't know if you can hear this, but… I truly hope you'll win this tournament.' But Her thoughts were interrupted when she spotted Jade. She smiled as she ran over to her. "Jade! You're okay!"

Both Edenian women embraced. "I'm glad to see you're alright too, Kitana." Before she then asked. "You lost your match as well?"

Kitana nodded. "Yeah…" Then she asked. "What about auntie Sheeva? Is she okay?"

Jade assured her. "Not to worry, Kitana. I heard she's alive as well, but gave up in her fight with the Earthrealmers."

Kitana formed a smile of relief, thanking the Elder Gods that her Shokan teacher, auntie, and, in her mind, mother figure, was alive. 'Thank the Elder Gods.'

But their moment was disturbed when Prince Lotor of the Galra walked towards them with his hands behind his back. "Ah, Kitana. How good to see you're still alive." Before he stopped, standing very close to her. "I guess your opponent was too strong for you, huh? No matter, my dear. It's probably better this way." Before he then glanced seriously at Jade. "Can you excuse us for a moment?"

Jade looked at Kitana with some worry, who assured her friend she'll be fine. Jade glanced back at Lotor and made a bow. "Of… course, Prince Lotor." She then walked away, leaving them be, but glared at Lotor one more time before heading into a different hallway.

Once Jade was gone, Lotor suddenly pulled Kitana close to him and began to kiss her, shocking her. Kitana tried to resist but Lotor held her tight, making her bite his lip hard, hurting him.

Lotor pushed Kitana away. He growled as his lip was bleeding. "How dare you!"

"Me?! How dare you!?" Kitana yelled.

Lotor frowned before he slapped Kitana in the face, making her fall to the floor before Kitana rubbed her cheek before she glared at Lotor. The Galra prince then began to smirk "I didn't imagine you to be this bold, Kitana. I like that." Before he sat on 1 knee and leaned over to her. "You may be resistant now, but in time after I've tamed you, you will respect and obey me, granting me children whenever I please."

Kitana growled. "I'll never give you a child, Lotor! Never!"

"We'll see about that," Lotor then stood up "I'll see you soon in Shang Tsung's throne room. Best be there, my dear."

Lotor then left, leaving Kitana, who sat on her knees, alone She hid a sob, imagining the unthinkable of what Lotor would do to her once she's forcefully married to him. "Elder Gods, what am I to do?" She cried.

That was when she heard a familiar voice. 1 that she desperately wanted to hear right now. "Kitana? Kitana!" The voice of Sheeva called before the female Shokan ran up to her and took her in her 4 arms.

Kitana embraced Sheeva before crying in her embrace. "Auntie Sheeva, I'm...so happy you're safe."

Sheeva held up Kitana's chin to look at her. "Let's get you into your chambers, Kitana. We'll talk while I change you."

After Sheeva had brought Kitana to a room where she could change, she stumbled upon Goro. The Shokan prince crossed his 4 arms as he glanced at his cousin. "Not able to defeat the Altean warrior, huh? Why am I not surprised?" He finished with a smirk.

Sheeva glared at Goro. "Don't underestimate those Earthrealm warriors and their Altean allies. They're much stronger than they look."

Goro laughed. "Hahahahaha! Anyone who appeared to be stronger and faster than they looked were, in the end, never a match for me. Trust me, cousin, they too shall fall as I've slaughtered so many before them." He said in an arrogant tone.

"Watch yourself, Goro. Your arrogance will 1 day be your downfall. And honestly, I hope you'll die in the tournament, as you, like your father before you, have given the Shokan race a bad name for far too long."

That made Goro frown at her and crack his knuckles. "You should choose your words carefully, Sheeva, or they'll be your last."

Still glaring at Goro, Sheeva walked away. "Goodbye and good riddance, Goro."

Goro chuckled, seeing his cousin didn't have the stomach or the will to challenge him. "Hahahaha. Coward."

At first, Sheeva was planning to go back to Outworld, but instead decided to stick around a little longer, just to watch the upcoming final match, hoping that Goro would finally be slaughtered and get what he had long deserved. But also because she wanted to stay a bit longer to be with Kitana, knowing she needed all the support she could get, as she was going to be married off to Lotor.

Meanwhile, outside of the temple

After what seemed to be a few hours of walk, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Liu Kang, Allura, Ezor and Acxa arrived at the bridge leading to Shang Tsung's temple. "So, we're here. Now what?" Johnny asked.

"We best stay together." Allura suggested. "Who knows what other warriors Shang Tsung sent after us?"

Just as Ezor and Acxa gave a nod, agreeing to their sister's plan, they were suddenly surrounded by a large group of Black Dragon mercenaries, all having their machine guns aimed at the warriors.

Johnny Cage narrowed his eyes as these guys are using guns instead of fists. "Oh. Great. This is fair." He said sarcastically.

"The rules state that it must be single combat." Liu Kang reminded them.

Ezor nodded and added. "Yeah, and I don't think using firearms is considered to be 'allowed' in the tournament."

"These lads aren't here for the tournament." A voice said, revealing to be Kano. "They've been paid to kill you." The Black Dragon leader then glanced at Sonya "Hello, love. Nice to see you again." Before he gave her a blow kiss.

Sonya frowned at Kano while also not being interested in his 'charms' "Why don't you come over here and I'll give you a hug."

Kano chuckled. "Well, you'd do a better job than Jax."

Being surrounded by the Black Dragon, the odds of getting out of this alive seemed to be small. "I guess Raiden was wrong." Sonya said, thinking that they probably wouldn't get out of this alive.

"Oh. Ya think?" Johnny asked.

Allura tried to calm them down. "No. If we work together, we'll get out of this alive."

While Ezor and Acxa stood in their battle stance, Acxa warned the mercenaries. "If you wanna get to my girlfriend or my sister, you gotta get through me first."

Ezor nodded while she added. "And before any of you tries, you'll probably be dead."

Johnny sighed. "We better get out of this alive. I need to make it home so I can kill my agent."

But as Liu Kang looked at the mercenaries, he saw 2 of them without guns before he looked closely and saw 2 familiar kunai blades slip out of both their right wrists, making him smile as he knew who was under the armor. He then told everyone else while getting into his battle stance. "Be ready."

"For what?" Johnny asked with confusion.

Suddenly, the Kunais went right through 2 of the mercenaries' heads, shattering their skulls before going through 4 more heads! They were then pulled so hard that their heads and spines came out their bodies, finishing them off before the disguised mercenaries twirled the chains to get the heads off!

The other Black Dragon mercenaries fired upon them, only to hit just the armor, as Scorpion and Haggar teleported above them and used their kunai chains to stab 2 more mercenaries, killing them before landing and drawing their katanas, slicing off 2 of the mercenaries' arms before stabbing them in the gut and finally the head with their kunai blades to finish them off!

"You see? I knew it! I knew they liked us!" Johnny said with a grin while Haggar and Scorpion glared at him before Haggar glared daggers at Sonya.

"Oh, now you wanna help us, bitch?" Sonya asked with a glare at Haggar. "Or is this just a way to get to your enemies faster and leave us to die?!"

But before anything else could be said, the rest of the Black Dragon mercenaries fired upon the group, making them separate. While Johnny was hopping up and down while holding up his fists, Sonya flipped closer to him and swap-kicked 1 of the Black Dragon away from him before tripping Johnny to get him out of the line of fire and jumping close to 2 more mercenaries and kicked 2 more away with her right leg. "Stay down!"

"I know how to fight!" Johnny told her.

Sonya then jumped and grabbed Johnny's head to push him down again and used her bicycle spin kick to kick 2 more mercenaries away before grabbing him and pulling him back before getting 1 of their guns and shooting 3 mercenaries dead. "Sure you do. Just stay down!" She told him before resuming shooting.

Johnny watched and smiled with admiration. "Whoa. Man, is she hot."

While that was happening, Allura, Acxa and Ezor were working together as a graceful and very formidable team, having trained together their whole lives. Allura was using her katana sword to deflect the bullets being shot at her before she was sure they ran out before, closing her eyes and using her trained speed, twirled her sword around at a fast pace and sliced 6 of the Black Dragon mercenaries to pieces before they had a chance to reload before she stopped and opened her eyes before as she twirled her sword once and sheethed it.

Acxa used her senses to feel the mercenaries' heartbeats and, using her speed and strength, used her clawed knuckle duster and her kunai daggar to stab 3 of her opponents at the major organs and slicing through their necks to the point where blood was spraying out of them and they would die from blood loss.

Ezor used her invisible power that she'd been born with to secretly punch and kick her opponents at great speed, getting them all in a straight line for her to threw her Naginara Polearm straight through their chests at a lighting fast speed before she turned visible again, jumped on the other side of her makeshift line and grabbed her weapon when she landed.

Liu Kang, after easily dealing with 2 mercenaries, saw several more surrounding him and aiming at him. But he wasn't afraid, as he focused on listening to the sound of their heartbeats and when they fired, he dodged every bullet with unimaginable speed that any normal non trained human wouldn't be capable of before he jumped into the air and did a wheel flip before going down and landing several air kicks to 1 of the mercenaries' heads, getting behind him and making him take several bullets, killing him. Liu Kang then used his speed to kick the 1 who fired at him multiple times before kicking him away with a roundhouse kick and sending another 1 that tried attacking flying through the air with an uppercut! He then punched another mercenary in the face multiple times before knocking him away with a palm punch before knocking another down, kicking another 1 away before using a technique that took off the arm of another Black Dragon mercenary that tried to stab him with a blade! He then began to easily deal with the rest of them, even using his fire uppercut to take off 1 of the mercenaries' heads before he saw Kano on a roof, pointing machine guns at them, making him warn the others. "Everyone, down now!"

Kano then began shooting everyone, including some of his own mercenaries while the Earthrealm warriors and the Alteans took cover. "Yeah! Hahahahaha!" He laughed before the front ends of his guns were suddenly frozen in ice! "Huh?!" He asked before looking to his right and seeing Sub-Zero, who had been the 1 who froze his guns using his ice powers! "What gives?!"

Sub-Zero glared at the honorless mercenary as he told him. "You dishonor this tournament." Before kicking him off the roof with Kano screaming as he went.

But this had gotten Scorpion and Haggar's attention, with the demon Shirai Ryu glaring at him, as he remembered that killing him was all he'd thought about for the last 10 years. "Sub-Zero."

But Haggar, remembering that Sub-Zero was not to blame for their suffering, put her hand on her father's shoulder and reminded him. "Remember, father, it wasn't Sub-Zero, it was Quan Chi, using his identity to disguise himself as him to misdirect you."

Scorpion calmed down long enough to remember what his daughter had shown him and knew that she was right, as Sub-Zero and his clan were pawns in Quan Chi's game as much as he had been. He looked at his daughter and asked. "What must we do, daughter?"

Haggar looked at Sub-Zero and answered. "Gain an ally to help us destroy our common enemy." Before she and her father teleported to Sub-Zero, grabbed his arms and teleported them all away from the temple, much to the Lin Kuei warrior's surprise.

"What?! What is this?!" Sub-Zero demanded as he got free, jumped back a few feet away from them and took his battle stance, ready to face whoever these warriors were.

"Don't fight, Sub Zero, we just want to talk to you." Haggar told him seriously.

"Do you know what happened to the Shirai Ryu?" Scorpion asked.

"Only that they were slaughtered 10 years ago!" Sub Zero answered before realizing who these warriors were. "Wait. You 2 are Shirai Ryu! You think I slaughtered them, don't you?! This is revenge, isn't it?!"

'Father, focus on defense and restrain him, I'll do the rest.' Haggar told her father telepathically.

'Just be ready, daughter.' Scorpion said before throwing his Kunai chains at Sub-Zero, only for him to stop them by forming an ice wall and freeze his chains with his power before he dodged out of the way before his body could be frozen and be impaled on the following spikes. He then used his teleportation power to dodge a few ice blasts from Sub-Zero before getting out his katanas and jumping towards him to stab him, only for Sub-Zero to avoid it by creating an ice replica of himself before he made ice swords and they blocked several slashes at each other before Sub-Zero stabbed Scorpion through his right hip and froze his chest, making it cold and distracting Scorpion enough to try to stab him with an ice blade. But Scorpion grabbed his arm and flipped behind him to grab his other arm, holding them tightly to restrain him. "Daughter, now!"

Haggar then teleported in front of Sub Zero and quickly used her magic to make him see the night of the Shirai Ryu slaughter, through her eyes, seeing several of the Lin Kuei warriors fighting alongside Galra soldiers. And, to his shock, he saw himself killing a young boy, presumably the grandmaster's son and Hanzo himself before he used his magic to reveal himself as Quan Chi, the demon sorcerer of Netherrealm, the 1 who led the massacre before she let go of him, along with her father.

Seeing how Quan Chi had manipulated the Lin Kuei to slaughter the Shirai Ryu and to use him as a scapegoat for the murder of Hanzo Hasashi's family, Sub-Zero gasped shockingly. "No... all this time it was that demon from the Netherrealm who killed our rival clan and he tried to frame me and my clan for it?!"

Haggar nodded. "We were nothing but pawns in Quan Chi's game. All of us." Before she then offered. "I know that our clans have been nothing but rivals and enemies for centuries. But now we have an enemy in common and that surpasses anything in both our clans' histories. If we work together, we can make that bastard from the Netherrealm pay for all the pain he's caused our clan, and the dishonor he caused you and your clan."

Seeing that Haggar was right, Sub-Zero said after a few minutes. "The enemy of my enemy... is my friend." He reminded himself of this old quote. "All right. Then we'll call a truce, for now, and make Quan Chi pay for his transgressions against both the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu."

Meanwhile

Kano sat up while rubbing his head. "Screw it! He's not paying me enough for this!"

"Kano!" Sonya called out, making Kano get up and run.

Liu Kang walked up to Sonya. "Go, save your partner."

"Sonya!" Johnny called out as the female soldier ran after Kano. "Partner?"

"Raiden said your destiny would be clear. So...there she is." Liu told him.

"You know what? I guess I don't mind having my balls crushed, by her, I mean." Johnny said.

"Doesn't make it any better." Liu said while reaching his hand out, making Johnny shake it with both hands before he ran after Sonya.

"I guess we'll go help that idiot, right, sis?" Ezor asked Allura.

"Well, how he got this far is well beyond me. But I guess we should help Sonya save her friend." Allura answered.

"And, no matter how much of an idiot and a jokester he is, Raiden chose him for a reason. And who knows what Kano has waiting for Sonya." Acxa added after her big sister.

"Good point." Liu said with a smile.

"Good luck, Liu." Allura told her friend.

"You 3, too. Hopefully we'll see each other again." Liu said softly before the 3 Altean sisters ran after Johnny and Sonya while Liu continued to walk to the temple, where the final round was waiting.

Meanwhile, with Sonya

The blonde soldier heard Jax's screaming and followed it through a hallway, down a staircase and to a torture chamber as she heard Kano's voice. "Come on, Sonya, darling. Just a bit further."

"Jax!" Sonya called out when she saw him.

Jax looked up. "Sonya?"

Kano touched a lever and said. "So glad you made it. It's gonna be a joy to watch you end up like your partner." Before he pulled it, releasing many monsters to deal with Sonya.

But Sonya wasn't afraid. "You think I'm afraid of you? Bring it on!" She said before using her graceful moves to avoid their attacks and getting a few got hits in on some of them, taking out her laser gun and shooting a Centaur before it jumped up and punched her hard into a walk, stunning her enough to make her fall to the floor as the monsters advanced on her. "Fuck."

Meanwhile, with the Altean sisters

Allura, Acxa and Ezor were trying to find Johnny and Sonja, but felt very strange magic blocking their hearing before the entire hallway went black and Allura found herself in another hallway, without her sisters, making her scared and concerned about them. "Acxa! Ezor, can you hear me?!" She called out before trying another hallway and running into a dead end, frustrating her. "Damn it!" She cursed and ran back to where she came from, taking another hallway, hoping it would lead back to her sisters. "Ezor! Acxa! Where are you!?" Then, as she entered a big room within the dungeons, suddenly, the door slammed shut behind her! Allura gasped before trying to open it. "No, no, no!"

Suddenly, all the torches on the walls light up by the use of Galran magic. At the other side of the room, Allura saw the Galran warrior, Sendak. He smirked evilly as he walked to the middle of the room while glancing at Allura. "Lost, sweetheart?"

Allura became nervous, but tried to remain calm as she drew her katana sword. "Shut up! I'm not scared of you!"

Sendak chuckled as he drew his purple/black Galran sword. "It's been a long time since I had to face an Altean. A very attractive one, nonetheless." He finished as he stared at her with lust.

Allura wasn't going to allow this Galran bastard to have his way with her and yelled. "Bring it on!"

The fight began, with Allura and Sendax being almost even when it came to sword skill. Allura first got the upper hand, landing a few cuts on his midsection before slashing both his forearms before kicking him back. But with Sendak proving to be stronger, Allura had it harder to keep her guard up, as she was brought to 1 knee while blocking his blade before she eventually got disarmed before she dodged a slash and fighting with all she had, delivered fierce punches and kicks that Sendak easily deflected and counter attack with many fast punches and kicks to her midsection and her head!

Meanwhile

Haggar began to have a strange feeling that Allura was in danger. So, she separated from Scorpion and Sub-Zero by backing up. "Father, there's something I must do."

Sub-Zero was confused as he raised an eye. "What? Where are you going?!"

Feeling what his daughter is up to, Scorpion nodded and let her go. "Go, my daughter. Save the woman you've begun to love."

Haggar, surprised, nodded before teleporting away before Sub-Zero asked. "What is she doing?"

"What she must do." Scorpion answered. "Tonight, my daughter's long dead heart... will be resurrected."

Back with Allura and Sendax's battle

Allura was thrown across the room, hitting the wall hard! She fell on her knees and lied nearly motionless on the floor, having bruises and cuts all over her body.

Sendak lifted her up by grabbing her long hair and held her closer to him, grabbing her by the throat as he licked his lips. "Mmm. So... delicate, aren't you?"

Allura was scared as she saw flashbacks of her mother being raped when she was a child, now fearing that this Galra warrior would do the same to her. 'No! No! No! No! No!'

Sendak smirked evilly as he pulled her close to him. "Such a worthy foe. Pity I have to put you out of your misery." Before he then took out a dark dagger from his belt and held it close to her face. "But don't worry. I'm not going to kill you right now. I think I'll have some... fun with you first." Before he then licked her cheek, which disgusted her. Sendak then smelled her hair, sensing something surprising about her. "Oooh. You're still a virgin." Before he then pinned her down to a table and pulled her pants down.

Allura tried to struggle, but Sendak's grip was stronger. "No! No, please don't!" Allura begged.

Sendak evilly laughed as he slapped her ass. "Don't what? Hahahahaha." Before he pulled his own pants down, readying himself to insert his hard cock inside her.

"No! STOP! NOOOO!"

"Hahahahaha!" Sendak kept laughing evilly.

But just as he was about to thrust his dick inside Allura's vagina, Sendak was suddenly stabbed by a Kunai blade from the back, exiting his chest! Sendak screamed in agony as he looked back in shock, seeing it was Haggar who'd stabbed him with her kunai blade.

With fury exploding in Haggar, she yelled. "LET HER GOOOO!" And pulled the chain so hard, that Haggar ripped Sendak's entire spinal cord and skull from his body, killing him!

As the body of Sendak fell to the floor, Allura slowly looked at her back, seeing Haggar walking over to her, making her eyes widen in surprise. "Haggar."

Haggar helped Allura back on her feet, holding her in her arms. She had never felt this kind of worry for anyone before in years and softly asked. "Are you alright?"

While tears fell from Allura's eyes, she slowly nodded. "I am now... thank you..."

And then, slowly, she reached her hands to Haggar's facial mask. Haggar's first instinct was to hold Allura to prevent her from doing so, but this time... she didn't do anything, letting Allura slowly take off her mask, showing the other Altean her beautiful mouth. Allura then closed her eyes and softly kissed Haggar.

The sensation of the kiss, planted on her lips, made Haggar freeze. Her very first kiss, given by the Altean woman she began to feel something for. It was then that Haggar forgot where she was and slowly put her arms around Allura, holding her close while continuing the kiss.

After a minute, they slowly broke the kiss and looked into each other's eyes.

"I knew you would come back to me." Allura softly stated with joy that the Elder Gods and answered her prayer. 'Elder Gods, thank you. Thank you so much for answering my prayer.'

Haggar felt her heart rating increased and butterflies formed in her belly. She now began to understand what her father tried to tell her. What she felt the very moment she laid her eyes on Allura, Haggar knew now what it meant: It was love, something she thought she would never feel again in her whole life. It seemed like they were both right: Her heart was dead. But this Altean woman, who was so caring and understanding, brought her heart back to life.

Haggar formed a small smile, something she hadn't done in 10 years. Then, sensing that Acxa and Ezor needed help, Haggar looked serious again. While Allura pulled her pants back up, Haggar took Allura's sword from the floor and handed it over to her while telling. "Here. Your sisters need your help. Go and help them."

"But... what about you?!" Allura asked with concern.

Haggar ensured her while putting her hand on her cheek. "I need to go and help my father. Don't worry... I'll be back... I promise." She then planted another kiss on Allura's lips and put her mask back on before teleporting away while thinking mentally. 'I'm...sorry... Allura, but I can't keep that promise. I... can't be with you. My fate...is to die here, with my father. But...at least I'll die knowing... that you... brought my heart back to life.'

Allura, after getting herself straightened up again, ran through the open door that Haggar came through before she ran into Acxa and Ezor. "Acxa! Ezor!" She cried as she ran up to them and hugged them.

"Oh Allura, we're so happy you're safe!" Acxa said with tears in her eyes.

"What happened to you?" Ezor asked with concern.

"I'll tell you both later. Right now, we have to help Sonya and Johnny Cage." Allura before hearing Sonya screaming, making all 3 ran in her direction as fast as they could.

Meanwhile

Liu Kang opened the door to the throne room. "Shang Tsung!" Liu called to the evil sorcerer.

Shang Tsung, sitting on his throne, with next to him standing; Quan Chi, Lotor, Kitana, Jade, Sheeva and Raiden as Kitana, who stood next to Lotor and Sheeva, formed a small smile, seeing that Liu Kang was alright.

"Ah. I'm impressed, Raiden," Shang Tsung said, not expecting Raiden's champion to make it this far "You were right. He has great spirit."

"And even greater skill." Raiden added as Liu Kang was much stronger than Shang Tsung could anticipate.

Kitana prayed that the Thunder God was right and Liu Kang could really win this tournament.

Shang Tsung rolled his eyes while standing up from his throne. "Please. We both know yours is a lost cause. Goro!" The sorcerer called for the Shokan prince to enter the fight.

A door slid open, revealing Goro who growled and jumped high, nearly hitting Liu Kang but avoided him just in time. The Shokan prince towered over the Shaolin monk and chuckled, while Liu Kang showed no fear and was ready to face Outworld's champion.

As deceiving as the sorcerer is, he hoped he would think otherwise and take his offer. "I'll make you a deal, Liu Kang. Yield, and Shao Kahn and Zarkon will grant you mercy. You can come to Outworld. Live as a king. We shall show you every pleasure."

Liu Kang however glared at the sorcerer. "Is that how Shao Kahn and Zarkon got you to betray Earthrealm? I am not as weak as you, Shang Tsung."

Showing the same courage that she saw when she fought him, warmed Kitana's heart as Liu Kang is truly a man of honor.

Lotor chuckled before stating. "Now, now, Liu Kang. I wouldn't be so hasty if I were you. Do you really want to give your life for Earthrealm? We all know your realm is doomed anyway. If you yield now, you can have anything you can ever desire. You might actually have a chance to get into Shao Kahn's inner circle, getting anything you want, every woman you can have. Isn't that a far better life than living as a foolish monk, being part of an order that couldn't even stop Outworld and the Galra from winning 9 straight tournaments?"

Liu Kang however still wouldn't budge. "Like I said before, Lotor. I am not as weak as all of you. I came to this tournament to defend Earthrealm and I intend to win, no matter the odds. And there is nothing that you can do to change my mind."

Shang Tsung smirked evilly. "Then you shall die. Fight!" He called for Goro and Liu Kang to begin the final match of the tournament.

When Liu Kang got into his stance, Goro ran to him and tried landing many punches with his 4 arms that the Shaolin monk easily dodged before he blocked 1 and slipped behind Goro and landed a kick to the back of his right knee, causing him to fall to it before Goro grabbed Liu's leg with his lower right arm before getting it in his upper hand and smashing him on the floor like a ragdoll before throwing him away, hitting a wall hard, making Kitana gasp in horror!

Lotor glanced surprisingly at Kitana for being so worried for this monk, which amused him as he chuckled. "You like Liu Kang, do you?"

Kitana glared at Lotor. "I respect him, more than I'll ever respect you."

That made Lotor frown at her, but he held himself as he would surely discipline her once she's officially his wife.

Shang Tsung then chuckled as Liu Kang wasn't doing well in the fight. "Poor Raiden. It must be awful to watch your beloved chosen one die and be unable to do anything about it." He said while mocking the Thunder God.

Raiden however still had hope that Liu could beat Goro. "The fight is not over yet."

"It may as well be."

Lotor made a nod. "Indeed. By the looks of it, I say Liu Kang won't be lasting at least 5 minutes against Goro." Before he then turned to the sorcerer. "How about we make a toast, to celebrate our impending victory?"

"An excellent idea, Lotor," Shang Tsung said before turning to Quan Chi. "Quan Chi, goblets. Let us toast to Shao Kahn's and Zarkon's victory over Earthrealm."

"Splendid idea." Quan Chi smirked as he turned to pour some wine for all 3 of them.

Kitana still watched the fight, praying deeply that Liu would defeat Goro. 'C'mon, Liu Kang. I know you can do it! Fight for Earthrealm! For me...!'

Jade and Sheeva were there for Kitana as they noticed her being more supportive of Liu Kang. And for the first time, they too hoped that Liu Kang would win.

After Quan Chi had poured wine in 3 goblets, he took a small bottle with some green substance, clearly being poison and poured some in both Shang Tsung's and Lotor's goblet, being part of Quan Chi backup plan to claim the key to release Shinnok as Scorpion still hadn't delivered him the key as promised. Quan Chi walked over with a serving plate with the 2 goblets of poisoned wine, having taken his wine goblet already, while everyone was watching the match, with Liu Kang being able to even the odds and deliver several kicks and punches on Goro.

Shang Tsung kept mocking the Shaolin monk. "Come now, Liu Kang. You can do better than that."

Lotor chuckled. "I do have to admit that he's better than I thought. By now, anyone who would've made it this far would have already been slaughtered by Goro." Before he then shrugged. "Ah well, at least we have a big finale before my future father-in-law can invade Earthrealm."

"I agree, prince Lotor." Shang Tsung said before he and Lotor took a goblet from Quan Chi.

"For Outworld." Quan Chi toasted.

"For Shao Kahn." Shang Tsung said.

"For the Deadly Alliance." Lotor added.

Back with Sonya

The blonde soldier was shoved face-first into a wall by 1 of the monsters, making her face bleed before the Centaur threw her down, much to Kano's delight. "Good. Now, finish her!" He ordered.

As the monster with wings picked Sonya up to eat her, Allura, Acxa and Ezor finally got to the chamber. "Sonya!" They said together, in fear for their new human friend.

But as the monster was about to finish Sonya off, a familiar voice called out. "Heeeere's Johnny!" Before Johnny appeared and, to the Alteans' shock, jumped forward and kicked the monster in the head, making him drop Sonja as it flew into other monsters while the movie star caught Sonya!

Sonya opened her eyes and was surprised at seeing that Johnny had saved her. "Johnny?"

"Don't worry, babe." Johnny said with a grin before seeing the Alteans. "Hey, ladies. Nice to see you guys came to help." Before walking up to the monsters after putting Sonya close to the Altean sisters. "All right, guys. Camera's up. Role sound." He said, much to their confusion. "ANNND ACTION!" And, much to the surprise of everyone, Johnny began to take down the monsters with masterful Martial arts skills, particularly kicks and even using his Nut Punch on 1 of them before landing several kicks on his head, bringing him to the ground!

"Impossible!" Kano said with disbelief.

Sonya put her hat back on with a smile. "Holy shit, Johnny Cage can fight."

"Well, well, well, looks like he's not so useless after all." Acxa said with a smirk.

"Got that right, babe." Ezor added.

"Indeed. What he lacks in seriousness in dire situations, he definitely just made up for with his fighting skills." Allura added with a smile of her own.

Sonya looked at the Altean sisters and asked. "What are we waiting for, ladies? Don't want Johnny to have all the fun, do we?"

"Damn right we don't." The Altean sisters said together.

As Johnny dealt with another monster, Sonya called out. "Save some of them for the ladies." Before she jumped in front of Johnny and took out a monster as well, along with the Altean sisters.

"See? I told you you guys would like me?" Johnny told them, particularly Sonya, getting an annoyed groan from Sonya.

"Don't push it, Cage." Allura told them before the 5 warriors began taking out all the monsters with great ease, much to Kano's worry and fear.

Back at the final round

When Liu Kang tried to land a few roundhouse kicks on Goro, the Shokan prince blocked them with all his arms as he was forced back before he tried to land a few hard punches of his own, ending with an overhead smash that Liu Kang back flipped to avoid. The monk then tore off a red sash from the ceiling before wrapping it around Goro's upper right arm before pulling him in and landing several kicks to his head before jumping up to avoid another punch from Goro, wrapping the sash around the Shokan prince when he landed. When Goro ripped it off him, Liu ran to him, jumped into the air and used his Bicycle Steps technique, making feet become enshrouded by fire, speeding up his kicks and knocking Goro through a nearby pillar that fell on him!

This made Kitana smile, as she thought Liu Kang was this close to winning, same with Sheeva and Jade.

"Well done." Shang Tsung said. "Truly I underestimated you. But... I am bored now." Before he narrowed his eyes and ordered the Shokan prince. "Goro. Playtime is over."

Goro then burst out of the rubble before advancing on Liu and tried to land an overhead smash that Liu Kang dodged using his speed, getting behind Goro before he tried to land a punch that Liu dodged. The Shaolin monk then landed very fast punches on Goro's torso, which had no effect as the Shokan prince landed a smash on his opponent's back before landing a few punches on him and an uppercut with both his right arms that sent him flying back before he continued beating Liu, much to Raiden, Kitana, Jade and Sheeva's concern.

Back in the torture chamber

The Altean sisters, Sonya and Johnny dealt with the last of the monsters before advancing on Kano. "Kano!" Sonya called out.

But Kano held a knife to Jax's neck. "Stay back! I'll slit his throat!"

"You are a coward, mercenary! Stand and fight like a warrior!" Allura told the dishonorable mercenary.

But that was when Jax bit hard into Kano's hand, causing him pain as he bled, making Kano punch him in the face before Ezor turned invisible and landing a jumping swap kick to Kano's face, sending him down onto the floor before he fired his eye laser at her, which Sonya blocked by throwing a mace in front of it, causing it to be destroyed before the female soldier swung on a nearby chain.

"Sonya, catch!" Acxa called out while throwing her knuckle claws to her human friend.

Sonya slipped the claws on and when she got close enough to Kano as he was firing his eye laser again, she swiped the claws across his face where the cyborg eye was and caused the laser to explode from the inside, harming Kano greatly before Johnny and Allura untied Jax and helped him stand up.

And when they began to leave, Jax stopped. "Wait a minute." He said before stomping his right foot into Kano's cyborg eye, crushing it along with his head and finally killing him while everyone watched. "Now we can go." And when they were walking, Jax looked at the Altean sisters. "Thanks for your help, ladies."

"No problem." Acxa said as Sonya gave her her knuckle claws back.

"So, Sonya, who are these 3? They look different, but they clearly ain't working for Kano or that old man. They new friends of yours?" Jax asked.

"You could say that. I'll tell you about it when we're all safe." Sonya answered.

Back with the final round

Goro continued to overpower Liu Kang, landing another hard punch to Liu's face, making him spit out blood before he grabbed him, smashed him to the floor and began delivering several hard punches on his chest, making him cough blood and breaking his ribs!

Kitana gasped in horror as tears formed in her eyes. 'Stop it, Goro! PLEASE, STOP!'

But Shang Tsung smiled brightly as Goro was close to winning. "Yes. Yes!"

Lotor chuckled as he held his goblet up and looked at it while telling Quan Chi. "This reminds me of what my father taught me in my youth, our dear Netherrealm ally," Quan Chi glanced at Lotor and Shang Tsung. "In order to achieve victory over your enemies, you must 1st be a few steps ahead of them." He then glanced at Quan Chi before he and Shang Tsung frowned and spilled the poisoned wine on the floor, shocking Quan Chi.

"Come now. Did you really think that me and Lotor didn't know you'd betray your emperors, Quan Chi?" Shang Tsung asked while he evilly smirked.

Quan Chi, showing some fear, shook his head. "You're mistaken. I would never..."

Using his magic, Shang Tsung formed a big fiery hand and grabbed Quan Chi, raising him up from the ground, preventing him from escaping.

While Quan Chi struggled, Lotor told him with a serious tone. "Did you honestly think we didn't suspect you in the first place once you set foot on this island?"

"All for what? This?" Shang Tsung asked while he magically made the Key appear in his left hand. "He's been imprisoned for a reason, Quan Chi. Your sad devotion to the mad god Shinnok makes you as pathetic as he is."

Shang Tsung made the key disappear again while Lotor said. "Soon, Earthrealm will be Shao Kahn's, and his and my father's reign over the universe will be nearly complete." Before he then shook his head while he smirked. "A pity you won't live long enough to see it."

Seeing that Liu Kang couldn't fight anymore, Shang Tsung called to Goro. "Finish him."

Goro picked up Liu Kang and attempted to do the same thing he did to Jax, but with Liu, he was trying to rip off all his limbs instead of just his arms, much to Kitana's horror as more tears fell from her eyes, being on the brink of begging them to stop this as Liu yelled in pain as his arms were beginning to rip out from their sockets despite him trying with all his might to get free.

"Hahahahaha. Does it hurt?" Goro taunted with a laugh. "Soon, your weak species will be no more!" He said with an evil grin, much to Sheeva's anger, as she was on the verge of attacking Goro, having finally had enough of him and his evil.

But that was when something completely unexpected happened: Goro was suddenly stabbed through his head by a kunai before his skull and spine were yanked out of his body, killing him and making him let go of Liu before his dead body fell to the floor!

"Who dares?!" Shang Tsung asked while everyone next to him looked at this turn of events with surprise looks on their faces.

Liu then saw Scorpion, Haggar and another warrior similar to them, who he identified as the legendary Sub-Zero enter the room. "Scorpion. Haggar." He said.

While Haggar, Scorpion and Sub-Zero both glared at Quan Chi, now being restrained by Shang Tsung, Quan Chi was surprised to see his warrior along with Sub-Zero, believing he would have killed him by now. "What?! Why are you-"

"We know the truth, you bastard!" Sub-Zero yelled.

"You manipulated the Lin Kuei to kill my family and clan! Deceived me! Used me, only so you could free Shinnok!" Scorpion added.

Quan Chi was shocked that Scorpion managed to see through his deceit. "What?! How did you find out?!"

Haggar stepped forward, glaring at the bastard who took her adopted clan and family from her. "You didn't succeed in killing all the Shirai Ryu that night, Quan Chi."

Quan Chi's eyes went wide, realizing that she was the same Altean prodigy who was foretold to end Shao Kahn and Zarkon's reigns. "Impossible!"

Shang Tsung began to form a grin. "Well, this is an interesting and unexpected turn of events. It would seem that your champion isn't as loyal as you claim, Quan Chi and has now aligned himself with his rival clan and this Altean warrior." Before he rose from his throne, asking Scorpion. "You are Scorpion of Netherrealm, yes?" Getting a nod from Scorpion. "You have killed Goro. Thus you must take your rightful place as champion of Outworld."

"I want nothing to do with your game, sorcerer!" Scorpion stated before glaring back at Quan Chi. "We've come for him. We have some unsettled business with that pale bastard."

Shang Tsung chuckled, seeing that Scorpion would do anything so he could have his 'revenge' on Quan Chi. So, he made him an offer. "Well, I'll make a deal with you, Scorpion. Defeat Liu Kang and you can have Quan Chi to do with as you wish. Defeat Liu Kang, and my emperor along with Zarkon will give you all that you dream of."

Haggar glanced at her father, who was doubting if it was wise to attack Liu Kang, as he was already weakened from his fight against Goro while Sub-Zero was conflicted about this as well.

"Vengeance is not the way, Scorpion." Liu Kang tried to change his mind.

"Of course it is." Shang Tsung said. "And it's yours. All you have to do is kill him."

Scorpion glanced at his daughter, who was more eager to kill Quan Chi now and be done with it. Scorpion walked over to Liu Kang, taking Goro's place, but whispered to Haggar. "Be ready."

Haggar had heard it and gave a small nod, being ready for what her father was about to do.

When Scorpion got in his fighting stance. Liu sighed, seeing that Scorpion had made his choice and got in his fighting stance, but glared at Haggar for not trying to change her father's mind.

Haggar returned her own glare at the Shaolin, but then she looked at Lotor, forming a deep hatred for the Galra/Altean hybrid prince for what his father had done to her people, even seeing how he was holding Kitana like some sort of trophy and a sexual slave. 'Heartless, spoiled, perverted bastard.' She mentally thought.

"Good. Good." Shang Tsung evilly smirked. "What choice did he really have, Lord Raiden?" He asked the Thunder God.

"There's always another choice." Raiden answered.

Hearing this, Kitana, Jade and Sheeva exchanged a short glance, realizing that they did have a choice in this war.

"Now, fight!" Shang Tsung called.

Scorpion immediately jumped high, taking out his kunai blades, seemingly ready to deliver the final blow on Liu Kang, who looked with horror and Kitana shook her head, begging herself not to see Liu Kang die. 'No, Scorpion, please don't do it!'

But then suddenly, while in midair, Scorpion teleported away and appeared behind Shang Tsung, taking him hostage while holding his kunai blade to his throat, making the sorcerer gasp. "What are you doing?"

"Living for the future." Scorpion answered.

Lotor glared at him. "You'll pay for that, Netherrealm scum-" As he was this close to drawing his sword, but then Haggar teleported away too, holding Lotor hostage the same way as her father with Shang Tsung, holding her kunai blade to his throat, much to Lotor's surprise!

"Don't even think about it, Galra scum." Haggar angrily said while holding her kunai more tightly to his throat, making him release Kitana, who stepped back along with Jade and Sheeva while Sub-Zero looked with surprise, being impressed by the Shirai Ryu warriors.

Scorpion then demanded from the sorcerer. "Now, give me the key!"

Having no other choice, Shang Tsung made the Key appear in his hands and dropped it on the floor. "You fools! Shao Kahn and Zarkon will hear about this and kill both of you." Shang Tsung warned the Shirai Ryu warriors while forming a smirk.

"We're both already dead." Haggar told him darkly.

Scorpion, after briefly looking at his daughter, then told the Shaolin monk. "Liu Kang, I yield."

"No!" Shang Tsung frowned, as he made Outworld lose this tournament.

Liu Kang was surprised by this as Scorpion and Haggar did this to save Earthrealm after all and formed a small smile. 'Thank the Elder Gods.'

"Then the tournament is finished." Raiden said as he stepped forward. "Outworld has lost. Earthrealm is safe."

Scorpion and Haggar released Shang Tsung and Lotor, and pushed them away to the floor. Both were furious as they'd lost their chance to absorb Earthrealm. "I will kill you all." Shang Tsung said, as he was ready to attack them for ruining Shao Kahn and Zarkon's chance to win.

While Scorpion took the Key from the floor, Kitana ran over to Liu Kang to see if he was alright while Raiden stepped in between. "The tournament is over, Shang Tsung." As his glowing eyes sparked with lightning, ready to attack the sorcerer and Galra prince. "I am no longer bound by rules of non-interference. Return to your emperors. Tell them of your failure."

"You have made a mistake, Lord Raiden." Lotor said. "My father and emperor Shao Kahn will have their revenge."

"I'm counting on it." Raiden said with a smirk.

Shang Tsung used his magic to make a portal and went through it, which made Quan Chi to be released. Liu Kang wanted to go after Shang Tsung, but Kitana held him. "No, Liu."

Suddenly, a loud wind passed over the island, causing an earthquake. "Without Shang Tsung's power, the island will collapse." Raiden warned.

Lotor then walked over to Kitana. "It's time to go back, my sweet fiance."

Kitana shook her head. "I'm not going with you back to Outworld, Lotor!" This surprised Lotor, but also Jade and Sheeva. Kitana then begged Liu Kang. "Please... take me with you."

Liu Kang formed a look of surprise, but then smiled and gave a nod. Lotor however then formed an evil smirk. "You don't have a choice, my future wife. The betrothal is already arranged. You... are mine." And when he took a few steps forward, Liu Kang then stepped in between them, making Lotor angry. "You dare to stop me?"

"You heard her, Lotor. She's not going back with you. Now leave and return to your father." Liu told him before he got in his fighting stance.

Angrily, Lotor pointed his sword at Liu Kang's face. "Well, then I guess I'll have to take what is rightfully mine from your cold dead hands, monk."

But as he raised his sword, Lotor was suddenly held by a long chain from Haggar around his waist and she pulled him fiercely over to her and grabbed his neck in her left hand! She then glared at him while her eyes glowed with purple fire. "You heard her, Galra scum. She's not going anywhere with you."

Seeing those fierceful eyes made Lotor afraid for the first time in years. "Who is she? What is she?'

Haggar pushed him forward to the port. "Now go back to where you came from and never return." But then she added. "But before you go, I want you to deliver a message to your father, Emperor Zarkon. Tell him that the Altean prodigy that he has feared for years is alive and will come for him." While also thinking in her mind. 'If my father is thinking what I know he is, then I shall stay by his side, even when he and I both die tonight. But, as long as Allura and her sisters are alive, there's still hope for the future of our realm, and all others. But at least I can spread 1 last bit of fear to Zarkon before my time in this mortal world is over.'

"The... Altean prodigy?!" Lotor asked in complete surprise. "Who?!"

"ME!" She answered as she ripped off her facial mask, showing her red markings on her cheeks.

Lotor gasped in horror. "No... it can't be!"

Haggar then fiercely threw Lotor through the air, into the portal, which disappeared.

Sheeva glanced at Kitana, who also glanced at her. Sheeva gave her a nod, knowing that her leaving for Earthrealm would be for the best. The female Shokan then told Jade as the palace began to get unstable. "Hurry, we must get to a portal and return to Outworld!"

But as Sheeva made a run for it, Jade said. "Wait!" As she then ran over to Kitana. "I'm coming with you." Before Kitana smiled as her best friend was coming with her.

"We must go!" Raiden said, as the island was about to collapse.

Liu Kang was about to go, along with Jade, but then he and Kitana glanced at Haggar, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, who were advancing on Quan Chi. "What about Scorpion?" He asked the Thunder God.

"And Haggar and Sub-Zero?" Kitana asked.

"Their paths lie elsewhere." Raiden answered.

Liu Kang and Kitana exchanged a short glance, seeing that Raiden was right. The Shaolin and Edenian held hands and ran along with Jade and Raiden to escape the island while Sheeva, who smiled, ran into a different direction, hoping to find a different portal back to Outworld.

As the 3 ninja warriors were threateningly surrounding Quan Chi, he thought of a way to get out of this. "This isn't what I had intended, but in a way, it's even better. Give me the key, Scorpion, and we can leave this place before it is destroyed. Perhaps when Shinnok is released, he will give you both your family and clan back, as well as granting all 3 of you a ranking place in his army of warriors."

"I will not be as easily manipulated by you as those few Lin Kuei warriors were, demon! Especially now that I know it was you who caused their deaths and brought great dishonor among my clan!" Sub-Zero said with a glare.

"And for what you've done to my father and I, as well as your transgressions against both the Shirai Ryu and the Lin Kuei clans, I will never forgive you!" Haggar added. "I have waited and trained myself to the edge of my limits and beyond, thinking of nothing but this moment for over a decade! And now, vengeance and retribution have finally come to me at last, and I intend to enjoy every single second of it as I make you suffer!"

"As for the key: come take it, like you did mine and my daughter's clan and family, as well as the lives of the Lin Kuei warriors you manipulated into slaughtering them." Scorpion said as he put the key into his black pelt and got into his battle stance.

Quan Chi, though disappointed at their answers, grinned evilly, as he could at least finish what he started 10 years ago, with interest. "Very well. But, young Haggar, do try and put up more of a fight than your mommy and brother did."

"AAAAAAAH!" Haggar and Scorpion both yelled in fury before they and Sub-Zero rushed to attack Quan Chi, avoiding his green lightning blasts, Haggar and Scorpion by teleporting and Sub-Zero by dodging before he fired 2 ice blasts on his back, allowing the Shirai Ryu father-daughter duo to get in front of him and deliver a punch to his midsection by Scorpion, and Haggar to deliver a spin kick to his right knee and another to his head, sending him flying back towards Sub-Zero, who uppercut him in the chin and spin kicked him into a wall!

When Sub-Zero advanced on Quan Chi, he used a green portal to avoid the elbow that was aimed at his head before he appeared behind him and smashed his head against the wall, fracturing his skull before Haggar and Scorpion tried stabbing him with their kunai blades but he caught them and sent his lightning through the chains, electrocuting them both before he pulled them up and smashed them hard to the floor, stunning them long enough for him to jump towards them while wrapping their own chains around their necks to strangle them.

"I'm going to finish what I began 10 years ago with your family and clan! Die, you wretched vermin!" Quan Chi said with anger.

But Sub-Zero recovered, jumped towards Quan Chi and kneed him in the nose, breaking it and making him let go of the warriors he'd allied himself with. "You'll spill no more Shirai Ryu blood, demon! They will have vengeance for their clan, as I will for the Lin Kuei lives you destroyed!"

"It's time to die!" Scorpion said as he got back into his fighting stance.

"Indeed." Quan Chi said with an evil grin.

The fight continued, with the warriors fighting at superhuman speed before Quan Chi found an opening and punched Scorpion back, only for the demon Shirai Ryu to land a kick on his face as he went, which allowed Haggar to land a spinning knee to his right rib cage before jumping back, allowing Sub-Zero to jump in her place and deliver and kick that sent him crashing into Shang Tsung's throne!

"RRRAAHHH! Quan Chi roared with rage.

Meanwhile

As Liu Kang, Kitana, Jade and Raiden made it to the docks, they looked at the temple, which was already beginning to explode before the collapse was spreading to the docks.

"Liu! Lord Randy! And lovely ladies in the leotards! Need a lift?" Johnny, who was on Raiden's ship with Sonya, Jax and the Altean sisters, called out, making the Thunder God, his chosen one and the Outworld princess and her best friend quickly run to board the ship.

Back in Shang Tsung's throne room

Quan Chi threw multiple green blasts at the 3 warriors that they easily avoided before Haggar and Scorpion threw their Kunai chains at him, making him jump up to avoid the blades as they cut through the floor and fire came from the trail they left. But Quan Chi jumped right into Sub-Zero, who froze his right arm and kicked him back. But Quan Chi used another portal to escape more damage and came out another one in time to push Haggar's head hard to the floor, fracturing her skull and making her face bleed! But Scorpion teleported to him and delivered a few kicks on his midsection before kicking him away from his daughter.

Quan Chi then unfroze his arm and conjured his own swords out of green energy before engaging in a sword battle with Scorpion, being evenly matched with him in sword skill before Sub-Zero joined in, having made his own ice swords and made it more difficult for Quan Chi, as he was getting overwhelmed with the 2 of them working together and going on offense on him and driving him back, allowing Haggar, who had healed herself and got behind the demon and plunge her swords through Quan Chi, making him stunned enough for Scorpion to land several hard punches on his head, allowing Haggar and Sub-Zero to stand his by side and launch a combined spinning team punch to his stomach, making him cough out blood before Scorpion used his Kunai blades to rip off both Quan Chi's arms!

Sub-Zero then used his powers to freeze Quan Chi's legs before jumping up and landing hard enough for his frozen legs to shatter, making Quan Chi feel even more pain before Haggar stabbed 1 of her Kunai chains into his chest, breaking his rib cage and making blood spray out of him!

"GET OVER HERE!" She yelled, pulling him to her and grabbing his neck to make him look into her purple fiery eyes.

Quan Chi looked at Haggar, her father and Sub-Zero before grinning as he said his final words. "My god will avenge me."

"Damn you, and your god." The 3 warriors said together before Sub-Zero ripped off his head, tearing it and his upper spine from his body.

Haggar and Scorpion stepped forward and Scorpion took off his mask and hood, revealing his flaming demon skull before he and his daughter used their respective fires to burn Quan Chi's body to ashes before Sub-Zero threw his head in the fire to join his burning to ash body, finally avenging the Shirai Ryu clan, Harumi and Satoshi, as well as the Lin Kuei warriors who were manipulated by him to aid him in the slaughter.

When Scorpion saw that the temple was nearly destroyed, he turned to Haggar and Sub-Zero. "You both must leave this island now."

Haggar walked up to her father and said sadly. "No, father, I won't leave this place without you. I would rather die with you than be left alone again!"

Sub-Zero tried to convince Haggar to leave with him, as he knew her father had already made up his mind about wanting to be with his wife and son, as well as his clan in the afterlife. "Haggar, we must leave now! In order for Earthrealm and your people's realm to eventually have a peaceful future, you cannot die here! You must live on!"

"NO! I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF MINE OR ANY OTHER REALM! Let Raiden and his chosen champions save them!" She yelled out in rage, preferring to die here than be without her family and clan any longer. "If I have to die in order to be reunited with my whole family and clan, THEN SO BE IT!"

But then, Scorpion, wanting his daughter to live on, as she was essential to the future events to come, signaled Sub-Zero to grab Haggar and hold her tightly, which he did. "I'm sorry, Haggar, but you must live on. It is my fate to die here, not yours and not Sub-Zero's. But I want you to know that you made me very proud, my daughter. I will give our family and clan, as well as your birth mother your love." He said while preparing a teleportation spell. "Goodbye." He said sadly before using the spell to teleport Haggar and Sub-Zero off the island before closing his eyes, preparing for the end and content with joining everyone he'd lost in the afterlife.

Meanwhile, on Raiden's ship

As the vessel was sailing away from the collapsing island, Allura wondered. "Wait! Where's Haggar? Don't tell me she's still on the island."

"I'm afraid she was, Allura. Her, Scorpion and Sub-Zero were determined to have their revenge on Quan Chi and there was no stopping them." Liu Kang answered sadly.

"But they did help Liu Kang win the tournament. So, Earthrealm is safe from an Outworld invasion." Jade informed them all.

"I just hope auntie Sheeva made it off the island." Kitana said with worry for her mother figure.

"She did, Kitana." Raiden told her. "Don't worry, she'll come back to you. For you and Jade are, and always will be very special to her."

Kitana smiled, along with Jade. "Well, at least now, we'll finally be free of the monsters who've held us in bondage our whole lives."

"So, is that it?" Did we win?" Johnny asked.

"For now." Raiden answered.

"All right! Yeah!" Johnny said while hugging Raiden before turning to Sonya but stopping himself from embracing her. "Uh…may I?"

Sonya looked annoyed but granted permission, allowing Johnny to hug her before she patted his back. "Okay, that's enough."

"Okay, yeah." Johnny said before Sonya walked to the rail to be alone. Johnny then turned to Jax. "Think she'll ever like me?"

"She didn't hit you in the nuts, did she?" Jax asked.

"Yes, she did, Jax. Yes, she did." Johnny answered.

But Liu Kang looked disappointed before Raiden walked up to him. "I have failed you. I could not defeat Goro. If it wasn't for Scorpion and Haggar-"

But Raiden assured him while touching his shoulder. "Failed? No. Your destiny was never to defeat Goro, Liu Kang. It was to defeat Shao Khan."

But that was when Haggar and Sub-Zero were teleported right on Raiden's vessel, making all the warriors surprised but also relieved, especially Allura who was thankful that her dear Haggar was alright. "Haggar, you're alright!"

"And Sub-Zero as well." Kitana said with a smile.

But Haggar, who got herself free, ran to the edge of the ship and looked with horror as Shang Tsung's island collapsed and sank into the sea, with her father more than likely dead once again. She fell on her knees and cried out her father's name. "PAPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" As she rose her arms into the air sent out purple flaming shockwaves that caused the vessel shake and the sea to rise!

"She'll destroy the ship if she keeps this up! She must calm down now!" Sub-Zero yelled out in urgency.

While everyone was holding on to something, Allura walked up to her and yelled out. "Haggar! Haggar, stop this! You'll kill everyone! Please, stop this!"

This seemed to work, as Haggar had stopped her flaming shockwaves. But as she cried out her tears, Allura embraced her, comforting her in her grief, which Haggar wanted to stop by pushing Allura away from her, but after a few more seconds, she reluctantly allowed it.

Ezor and Acxa walked up to Sub-Zero. "Thanks, for helping Haggar kill the 1 who slaughtered her clan and family."

"And for helping to bring her back to our sister, and all of us. We know Haggar probably won't ever admit it, but she needs all of us, even you, Sub-Zero of the Lin Kuei clan." Acxa added after her lover.

"Only time will tell if that claim is true, Altean sisters." Sub-Zero said wisely.

"So, Sub-Zero, what is your name? Haggar saved your life. She stopped her father from killing you for something you didn't do. She at least deserves to know the name of the warrior who helped her get her revenge and yours." Allura said to the rival and potential ally of the 1 she loved.

Sub-Zero knew that she was right, as he was honorable and Haggar did save his life and even fought alongside him to get revenge for all the Lin Kuei warriors Quan Chi had manipulated into doing what he wanted. So, he told them his name. "Bi-Han. My name is Bi-Han."

Meanwhile In Outworld

Inside Shao Kahn's palace, Shang Tsung had to inform his emperor about his failure to win the 10th and final tournament so they could claim Earthrealm. Emperor Zarkon of the Galra was also present, along with his son Lotor. After Lotor had informed his father of the Altean prodigy being alive, Zarkon became furious, not on himself for his attempt to destroy the prophecy of his demise, but cursed Quan Chi for failing to kill the Altean warrior when she was a child before she could become a true threat to him and his reign of the Altean realm.

Shao Kahn hit Shang Tsung hard in the stomach, causing the sorcerer to fall on his knees while vomiting blood. "You have failed me! Failed us!"

Shang Tsung apologized. "I'm sorry, Master. It was that old fool, Raiden. He-"

"Silence!" The Outworld emperor yelled while he rose from his throne. "500 years I've waited! Now, because of you, I must wait 500 years more before I can finally claim Earthrealm!"

Zarkon however had a plan in mind and told his friend and ally. "There may yet be an alternative, my friend. Invade Earthrealm anyway, without having to win Mortal Kombat."

This shocked Shang Tsung. "I-Invade Earthrealm?! Are you mad?! The Elder Gods would-" But was interrupted when Zarkon delivered a fierce uppercut at Shang Tsung, silencing him while he grunted on the floor.

Shao Kahn glared at his ally, knowing it would be a waste of effort. "For this once, I agree with Shang Tsung. Let me remind you, Zarkon is that Sindel's ward prevents me from setting foot in Earthrealm."

Zarkon smirked as he asked. "Have you ever wondered why your wife chose to 'betray' you in an ordinary fashion?"

"Of course, but even after millennia, her motives are a mystery to me."

Zarkon then stated. "The truth might be harder for you to believe, my friend. My new high priestess found out that Sindel never betrayed you at all." This surprised Shao Kahn. "It was a group of Edenian warriors, who were loyal to their former king who did this. After your wife betrayed her former husband, King Jerrod along with all of Edenia when you claimed her realm as your own, they punished her by casting a curse on her spirit, using her power to create a ward that would prevent you from coming to Earthrealm, so that it would never have to suffer the same fate as Edenia and Altea when I claimed it for myself."

Zarkon's new high priestess then appeared, along with her druids, making a bow while stating what she'd shown to her emperor. "I'm afraid it's all true, emperor Shao Kahn. The story you were told about Empress Sindel's betrayal... was a lie."

Furious after hearing the truth, Shao Kahn's eyes glowed green. "DAMN THEM! Everyone who was aligned with those traitors will feel my wrath!" But then he asked. "But what exactly do you have in mind to cast Sindel's ward away so we can invade and conquer Earthrealm?"

Zarkon's high priestess stated. "Though bringing the dead back to life is more of Quan Chi's skill, me and my druids will be able to master the spells necessary for Sindel's resurrection. The ward will be nullified, thus giving you a way to start the invasion." She finished with an evil smirk.

Shao Kahn glanced at Zarkon. "This is a generous offer."

"My thanks for helping me to claim Altea and absorb it into the Galra realm." Zarkon stated as it was his way to thank Shao Kahn for his help to claim Altea in Mortal Kombat.

"How soon will my wife be brought back to life?"

Zarkon's High priestess answered. "It will take some time, but within a few months we'll be able to master Quan Chi's spells and bring empress Sindel back."

"A few months!?" Shao Kahn yelled in frustration.

Zarkon assured him. "Patience, Shao Kahn. Waiting a few months is a lot better than waiting for another 20 or 30 years before you can challenge Earthrealm again in Mortal Kombat. In the meantime, we'll have the time to prepare and plan the invasion."

Though Shao Kahn hated waiting, he gave a nod. "Very well. I'll wait. But this better not go wrong or take longer than anticipated."

"I'll assure you..." Zarkon's high priestess said while bowing. "I won't fail." And then left with her druids to study and master the spells for resurrecting Sindel.

Lotor then spoke out his own frustration. "What about my promised bride, huh?! Kitana is gone! Left with that... EARTHREALM PEASANT!" Before he grabbed his sword. "I swear... I swear I'll go to Earthrealm and drag her back in chains if necessary and kill all her friends!"

Zarkon raised his hand, gesturing Lotor to be patient. He then glanced at Shao Kahn. "Excuse my son's behavior, my friend. Although I have to agree with him. Now that Kitana is gone, my son doesn't have a promised bride to strengthen our formed Deadly Alliance."

"That is what I'll leave Shang Tsung to fix." Shao Kahn said before glaring at his failure of a sorcerer. "Before Lotor asked for Kitana's hand in marriage, I had plans to... replace my weak daughter for a better one. I was hoping she would've been useful to give as a bride to Lotor, but now that she's chosen treason..."

This made Lotor intrigued to see who his future father-in-law had in mind to replace Kitana as his new fiance and future wife.

Shao Kahn then walked over to Shang Tsung, asking him very seriously. "How soon will 'she' be ready?"

Shang Tsung slowly raised up, despite being in pain and answered. "I... I will be able to finish your 'new daughter' in a few days, if possible."

"Then do it." Shao Kahn ordered. "Go and bring me my new daughter: Mileena." While also secretly being watched by Sheeva, who had escaped the island by finding a portal, from close by, with a glare on her face at the evil tyrants, as whatever they were plotting, couldn't be anything good for Kitana, her friends, or any of the realms.

There you go, my dear friends, the revenge of Scorpion and Haggar, as well as Sub-Zero, is complete. But this is only the beginning, as there are many bonus chapters to come before Battle of the Realms takes place.
