It had been three days since the infection started, as Naoto looked outside of the window. The Infected had practically overrun the entire school before the first day even ended.

From the distance, Naoto could see the city, and it was not much better off. From smoke coming from houses, to broken windows and multiple fires being visible, Naoto could tell that the Infection had made it to the entire city. It really did seem like in just three days, the calm town of Kazehaya had turned into a Post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Naoto would've felt sad if this wasn't the same sight he had seen those previous two days. Spending three days stuck in school in the middle of an Apocalypse was sure to affect him somehow, and the rest of the group were also getting used to seeing the surrounding areas infested with Zombies.

"Senpai, what are you doing?" Naoto turned around to see Nagatoro, his Kouhai, standing right behind him.

"Oh. Nagatoro. I-I'm just looking at the landscape." He responded, turning back around to the window as he continued to gaze at the chaos.

"I can't believe it's only been three days. It feels like an eternity. Its getting kind of boring being crammed in here." She smiled and walked up to him, resting her arms on the window as she stared outside as well.

Naoto turned to her. Despite all the changes around him, he could always trust in Nagatoro to stay the same, bubbly person she was.

"Senpai." She turned towards him, finally noticing that he was staring at him. "Are you having dirty thoughts?" She asked, giving him that trademark smirk she always did.

"N-No! Do you really still have to tease me?" He complained. Despite what had happened, Nagatoro still seemed to get a kick out of teasing him every now and then.

"Sorry, Senpai." Her smirk lowered into a more neutral expression as she looked at the smoking city. "Talking to you like this simply seminds me of the time before this started. It's only been three days, but things really have changed a lot, haven't they?" She asked him.

He sighed, resting his elbows against the edge of the window. "You're right. Things changed quickly. Luckily, we managed to somewhat adapt." He turned around and looked at the room.

Despite this being their living place now, it wasn't lucky enough to be completely untouched from the outside chaos. On the wall there were still a few bloodstains, mostly originating from the Zombie that Hana was forced to kill at the start of the Infection, alongside a broken window which reminded everyone of Riko, who had turned against everyone that day before meeting and untimely fate.

If he looked down straight, Naoto could still see the blood splatters on the floor from Riko's fall. Weirdly, though, the body was nowhere to be found. The most likely possibility was that the corpse survived the fall and was now just one of the many undead roaming the halls.

The door to the supply room clicked open, as Gamo and Yoshi entered the Art Room. The art room was divided between the main room and the supply room, which was where they kept their food and slept.

"G-morning." Gamo said, scratching her back as she yawned. It was still early in the morning, so she was visibly tired. Yoshi responded rather unenthusiastically.

"G-Morning!"

Naoto and Nagatoro turned towards them, waving their hands as they greeted them back in unison.

"Are you sure you should be staring at the window every single day like that? Personally, it would demoralize me." Gamo asked.

Nagatoro scratched her head for a few seconds, before responding. "I don't know. I guess it's relaxing to know that at least we're safe and sound in here." She turned to Gamo. "Speaking of safe, how many rations do we have left?"

Gamo and Yoshi rushed back to the supply room, before coming back a few minutes later. "It looks like we still have enough for two or three more days.

Naoto sighed. Ever since the first day of the infection, they hadn't really left the school. They had practically everything they needed, that being food, water and a place to stay. They had found a way to funnel water from the rain, so water wouldn't be a problem anymore, but food would definitely be one.

"W-what are we going to do about food?" He stuttered. Despite everything he had gone trough, he still had the tendency of stuttering when he was nervous or stressed.

"Why don't... we go out scouting? If the food has almost run out, then looking for more sounds like the only reasonable option." Despite saying this, he wasn't sure himself if it was the safest option.

From what little they knew, the city was probably swarmed to the brim with Zombies, and they had probably emptied the cafeteria already. But no matter the danger, they would eventually have to gather more food, and doing it earlier was better than later.

"You're right. Scouting the city is the best option for now." Nagatoro answered, looking at Naoto.

Gamo and Yoshi had decided to stay behind and guard the other two, who were still sleeping, so it would be Naoto and Nagatoro who would go exploring.

"Let's go, Senpai." Nagatoro said as she slowly opened the door that split the safe haven that was the Art Room from the rest of the world. Naoto soon followed her outside of the room as the two closed it back up, ready to leave the school for the first time since the Infection started.

Naoto and Nagatoro headed for the stairs first of all, checking every corner to make sure that there were no Zombies around. Every footstep they took was putting them in danger of being found by the Infected, so they had to be extremely careful while traversing their way out of the school.

Next up was the school cafeteria. Unlike the first day, it was now utterly and completely abandoned, not a single soul around. The pots, pans and chairs were still on the ground, while the smeared blood from the first victims had long since dried up, forever staining the walls with their presence.

Naoto couldn't help but feel uneasy while walking around. From the smeared blood to the fact that there was not a single soul around to put the chairs and utensils back in place. A depressing atmosphere filled the room, and it was starting to affect him.

They didn't spend too long in the cafeteria before finally leaving to go downstairs. The place had already been emptied by them on the first Day, so there was no use in searching for something.

Naoto and Nagatoro arrived on the first floor, the floor where the second-years were located. "This place used to be so alive. Now it's just a wasteland." Nagatoro thought. She was also in the second year, and she recognized every single classroom, before walking past her own. As they walked back, she made sure to get a proper peek at the place.

Blood. Nothing but blood. The chairs thrown around the room, seemingly the Second-Years attempt at keeping the Zombies at bay before being overwhelmed. She could even recognize her seat from there. It was turned over on the floor, but still remained in its original spot.

Nagatoro and Naoto both wanted to puke put the little food they had had for that day. By simply revisiting these places in school, the both of them could visualize their friend running for their lives before ultimately losing them to a Zombie attack. It sickened them.

Naoto and Nagatoro continued to walk around. The door to the outside wasn't far away, as all they had to do was turn a corner.

"We're almost there." Nagatoro whispered as Naoto nodded. However, upon turning the corner towards the school door, they were met with a horde of Zombies guarding the exit.

They didn't seem to be doing much, simply walking around. The lack of any humans to munch on meant that all they could to was remain static as they walked around aimlessly.

That only made the fact that so many of them gathered up here even more nonsensical.

Naoto almost jumped from surprise at the sight of all these Infected, turning to Nagatoro.

"What now?" He whispered to Nagatoro as she hid herself behind the wall. Naoto did the same, eyeing the many Zombies guarding the exit.

"There's too many. Even if we were to take them on, we'd get overrun easily." He whispered.

Looking around for a distraction, Naoto soon found a ripped backpack in the hallway. It was still filled with books and pencils from whoever was unlucky enough to get caught.

He scrambled around the backpack for a while, before taking out a handful of books, which he threew into the opposite direction they were in.

The noise from all the books hitting the ground alarmed the Zombies as they ran towards the direction he threw the books.

With the path clear, Naoto and Nagatoro quickly dashed out of the building before the Zombies noticed them, opening the door quietly as they finally left school.

Looking outside, the city streets were all just like they has expected. Crashed cars on the street as well as Zombies walking around almost every corner.

The size of the city meant that the Zombied also came in smaller groups, which would make it easier to move around.

Naoto and Nagatoro looked at eachother, nodding at eachother, before walking down the stairs outside the school, finally stepping foot into the city of chaos they once lived in as their search for Resources began.
