Naoto and Nagatoro had finally made it to the city. As they made their way trough the rubble, they were quick to notice the lack of trouble they were having.

Naoto and Nagatoro had both expected this to be a life-threatening expedition, but not a single Zombie had even tried to attack them so far. It was most likely due to the fact that with all the noise from the fires and noises blaring from crashed cars, Naoto and Hayase were relatively quiet.

"You know, Senpai. Maybe the Zombies aren't coming because they know you will taste creepy." She snickered, giving him a smack.

"S-Shut up." He responded, his face getting flushed with red as they continued to traverse the city.

There were two things they were looking for. Food and weapons. The place they'd most likely find all of this in was going to be a run-of-the mill store. Luckily, Naoto and Nagatoro had just stumbled upon one.

The store itself was fairly average-sized. The store-glass was broken, providing easy entrance for Nagatoro and Naoto, who both went in without a hitch.

Looking around, they didn't find much at first. The shelves at the very front were all empty, apparently having been looted by other survivors. Despite it being a random store in the city, a fair amount of Zombies also roamed around the place, giving Naoto and Nagatoro some trouble.

Naoto and Nagatoro quietly snuck their way trough the place, looking for anything. As they made it closer to the end of the store, they finally saw some products. Most of the meat and fruits had already gone spoiled or stale, so they weren't up for grabs. What they did find was canned food and water, just what they needed.

They also found bags of potatoes and small caskets of mushrooms, which they might have been able to use to cultivate vegetables and reduce the need for future scavenging.

Naoto and Nagatoro carefully packed opened their backpacks, stuffing all they could inside of it while making sure not to make a single peep.

Nagatoro looked at Naoto, noticing how quiet he was being. He had a blank expression to his face, almost as if his head was in the clouds. "Senpai?"

Naoto turned to Nagatoro. "Yeah? What's up?"

"Are you having creepy thoughts?"

"N-No. I'm just... thinking." He said, turning his head downwards. "I'm just thinking about my family. Being in the city made me remember my family, and how their situation might be. I'm scared to find out what happened to them."

Nagatoro turned towards him, placing her hand on his shoulder. "Yeah. I can understand. I've also been wondering about my family. We've been so busy trying to survive ourselves that we completely forgot about our families." Nagatoro said.

"But don't worry. I'm sure they're alright. The Nagatoro family is impossible to get rid off, and I'm sure the Senpai family is as well." She smiled at Naoto, getting a chuckle out of him as he finished stuffing all he could into his backpack.

The two of them got up, grabbing their backpacks as they prepared to make their exit. However, with the first step Naoto took, he instantly stepped on a can on the floor, tumbling back onto a shelf and making a ruckus.

The Zombies instantly ruined their head towards the duo, who instantly stood back up and began to bold for the exit as the Zombies gave chase.

As they desperately made their way to the exit, Nagatoro tripped on another can, falling on the floor as the Zombies approached. Naoto turned to her, seeing that the Zombies were getting closer.

Looking next to her, he saw a fireaxe. It looked like it had been untouched by anyone, still being in its glass encasing. He quickly broke the glass casing with the emergency hammer, before grabbing the Axe.

The Zombies were getting closer as Nagatoro was standing back up. She got behind Nagatoro, who lifted the heavy axe with all his might, before swinging it at a Zombie.

He hit the Zombie right in the head, slicing its head clean off its body, giving them time to leave the building. However, the danger still wasn't over, as the Zombies in the store continued to give chase.

Naoto and Nagatoro sped trough the streets, as Naoto swung his axe at any Zombie in their way. The horde was slowly getting further away, as Naoto and Nagatoro were managing to keep up their pace.

Naoto and Nagatoro turned from corner to corner, desperately trying to leave the horde behind. swinging his axe at Zombies constantly was getting Naoto tired, as he slowed down considerably.

"I'm getting tired..." Naoto said, his speed decreasing with every step. The horde was considerably far away, but still close enough to follow. Nagatoro grabbed Naoto by the arm, pulling him along trough the streets.

"Na-Nagatorooo!" He felt lime every step would cause him to trip due to the difference in speed. Nagatoro and Naoto continued to turn corners, eventually losing the Zombie horde behind them.

Naoto and Nagatoro collapsed on the floor, exhausted from running as they caught their breath. "Man. That was one hell of an exercise." Nagatoro joked. Naoto gave no answer, still catching his breath from running so much.

"We- huff- need to get back to school quickly. The others are waiting." Naoto said, standing back up, before nervously offering Nagatoro his hand to help her get up.

Nagatoro grabbed onto his hand, getting a bit red as the both of them left the alley. The School wasn't far away, so they had almost no trouble finding their way back.

Upon making their way back into the school, they instantly headed for the stairwell. They made it safely up to the cafeteria, where they took the stairway to the third floor.

However, upon taking the stairs, they were met with another group of Zombies hoarding the stairwell, who instantly targeted Naoto and Nagatoro.

They both booked it once again, Naoto swinging his axe at them before running to gain a slight advantage. Other than the stairwell, they didn't really have a lot of places to go to, finding themselves cornered extremely quickly.

The beasts were slowly closing in on the Duo, as Naoto stood in front of Nagatoro, holding his axe. If they were about to go down, it wouldn't be without a fight.

As the Zombies slowly got closer, Naoto and Nagatoro heard footsepts coming closer towards them. They didn't belong to a Zombie, audible by the obvious synchronization between the steps.

They soon found out who they belonged to when Gamo and the others rushed in. Gamo, now wielding a bat, swung it right at one of the Zombies, knocking it to the floor. The others soon followed, attacking with anything they had in their hands.

The small horde was now Subdued, but the Noise of the fight had attracted even more beasts as they came from all directions, even blocking the stairwell to the Art Room once more.

The group found themselves surrounded by Zombies, each one of them readying their weapons to fight. They had survived long enough in an Apocalypse, and this sure as hell wouldn't be the end of their story.
