It was late at night when Twice and Grimmel finally reached the meeting spot for the League of Villains which was an old warehouse.

"The air is practically made of dust here, it's going to make me sick," said Grimmel.

"Join the club, the guys inside have been sick for a while," said Twice.

He opened the doors and Krogan was waiting inside with Viggo, Compress, Turid and Magna.

"Well now you've brought us a pretty big catch, huh, Twice," said Krogan.

"You think so?" said Grimmel. "Strange coming from you… the League of Villains."

"What gives, is this tie famous or something?" Magna asked.

"My master shall be a picture of him, he's part of the Mafia," said Krogan. "The head of the Dragon Killer Clan. What do we owe the pleasure?"

"He's the number two of the whole gang?" said Magna. "Oh, I've never met anyone like him before, he smells so dangerous. How exciting!"

"What's the deal?" Turid asked, confused. "We're all criminals here, so how is this guy different?"

"I suppose you are young to know what the Mafia is," said Viggo. "The Mafia was a powerful criminal organisation split into many different branches and round the underworld. But when heroes began to thrive, they slowly began to disband. When Skullcrusher appeared there era was over. Those that weren't caught became nothing more than thugs for villain groups, in other words, they became the lowest form of criminal barely scraping by to make a living."

"To be quite frank they became obsolete, an endangered species," said Compress.

"Endangered species, huh? I guess that's true," Grimmel admitted.

"So what's a Mafia thug from the slums doing here?" Magna asked. "Let me guess you're excited by Skullcrusher's retirement too?"

"It's good that he's gone, but I am far more interested in Drago Bludvist's absence," said Grimmel and looked directly at Krogan. "But dark amber ruled from the shadows, the old-timer always feared him even after rumours of his death. Honestly, though, I always believe that he was an urban legend. You can imagine the shock when he showed up in the flesh, but in the end, he was thrown into Helheim, and the Symbol of Peace retired. Which means there is a verse in the shadows, and those on the light are both leaderless. So, who will step up to take their places?"

"You know who my master is, but you still have the nerve to ask that?" Krogan growled. "Sounds like a challenge. I'm the next leader, even now I'm gathering up my troops. Our numbers continue to increase, with our combined power, I will turn hero society into dust."

"You have an actual plan?" Grimmel asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Shut your tongue and your tone," Krogan growled. "I thought you came here to join up with us?"

"A goal without a plan is just a wish," said Grimmel as he stepped towards him. "But that is what you're offering, why should I join you? What happens after you increase your forces? Do you have any idea how you even organise you're League? You had the Hero Killer Stain at your side, Muscular, Bladetooth all first-class game pieces and you lost them.

"Maybe you just enough how to play the game, you can't even manager you crazy people, but you wish to build an army? What happens when that power spirals out of control? You need direction to achieve your goals, and I have a plan, I didn't come here today because I wanted to join you."

Krogan narrowed his eyes at Twice. "You brought this idiot here without knowing his intentions Twice."

Twice gulped, realising that he was now in trouble.

"In order to execute my design I need money," Grimmel continued. "Unfortunately, there aren't many people looking to invest in some obsolete small-time Mafia gang. Now your group on the upper hand has widespread name recognition, put yourself under me. Make me your new leader, and I will show you how to use the right tools."

Silence fell over the entire warehouse until Krogan broke the silence.

"Leave," he ordered.

Magna then removed the cloth around her weapon would be great to be a giant magnet. "Sorry small fry, but we didn't band together to serve under someone's boot."

She then activated her power, turning Grimmel into a South Pole, drawing him towards her magnet.

"The other day, I met with an old friend," she said. "She's a gentle soul, but she supports me even knowing about my past. Do you know what she said? 'Those that are bound by the chains of society lap at those who aren't.' I'm here because I don't want to found by anything!"

Grimmel then began to remove one of his gloves.

"We are free to decide where exactly we belong!" she roared.

Grimmel's head slammed into her magnet, but he was able to place a single finger on her forearm. Then to everyone's shock, the other half of her body exploded.

"No… Big Sis Mag," said Turid stared.

"Just remember you made the first move," said Grimmel and then he began brushing the blood of them. "Argh, I'm filthy now. That's why I hate the aftermath."

Compress then immediately launch into action.

"Compress, wait!" Viggo yelled.

"No! I have to seal this guy away!" he yelled.

Then something struck him on his left arm just before he touched Grimmel's forearm. He tried activating his power, but nothing happened much to his shock.

"Why isn't my power working?" he said.

"Don't touch me!" Grimmel roared furiously.

He swiped at his arm, which then exploded, and he roared in pain.

Krogan used his body in order to shield his advance and then advance towards Grimmel undetected. He had watched Compress and notice that something had struck him on his arm, which was no doubt the result of his power not activating. He sends the same thing heading straight towards him and quickly dodged it and continued his advance towards Grimmel.

"Shield!" he yelled.

A man in a mask then immediately placed himself between the two of them and Krogan grabbed him. He groaned in pain as his body began to disintegrate, and then he collapsed as his body turned to dust.

"Now I get it," said Krogan.

Suddenly bursting right through the wall were three guys in masks, one was extremely muscular, able to carry the other two. One was completely covered in a black trench coat, and the other was short with his body entirely covered in a black suit.

"He should have just started with this, saved us all some time," said Krogan.

"That was a close one Grimmel," said a man in a white suit wearing a similar master the others.

"Your late," he said, looking at him.

"And I missed a shot, but at least we know they work."

"When they come from?" said Twice as he supported Compress. "We weren't followed, I swear."

"One of them probably has a tracking power," Krogan assumed.

"Hard to be objective in this situation, besides killing each other is not productive," said Grimmel. "A death on both sides, let's take a breather." He then turned around and began making his way through the hole. "We'll cool our heads and try again later, I owe your side an arm."

"Bastards, I'll eviscerate you!" said Twice.

Turid then drew a knife. "Krogan, let me cut him real quick."

"No," said Krogan.

"It's my responsibility!" Twice roared.

"No," Krogan repeated.

"Smart decision," said the small man.

"I don't want to rush you, but the sooner we taught, the better," said Grimmel and then tossed a card. "Think things over carefully, consider how your organisation should be run. Then when you've calmed down, call me."

"They've got to pay for this," said Twice as Krogan and his associates left. "Why can't I go after them?"

"Think Greg, we need to get Compress to a doctor," Turid pointed out.

"Right," said Twice looking down at Compress.

"My power… won't work," Compress groaned. "Damn, that hurts."

Turid looked at Magna's leading magnetic then pulled out one of her knives. "Maybe we do have time to make them bleed."

"No," said Krogan.

Turid looked at Krogan. "Come on, Krogan."

"Another time."

Viggo looked at the mess. "This Grimmel is certainly someone you don't wish to mess with unprepared."

Krogan remembered what Grimmel has said about direction and that he had a plan. While he did not wish to be under someone like Grimmel, he was curious about his plan, he had a feeling that whatever stopped Compress them activating his power had something to do with it.

"Your pay for what you've done today," Krogan swore.

At Helheim, Drago was still inside his cell, and despite not knowing what was going outside, he had obtained idea on what was going on in Krogan's head.

'You failed again, but do not be discouraged,' he said to himself quietly. 'Simply begin again, start over as many times as you need to. That is why I am here, everything is for you Krogan.'

It was morning, and Eret was going to explain a bit more detail about work studies and how they were going to operate.

"Work studies are a more serious version of your internships," Eret explained. "They entail helping pro agencies on the street and with investigations. Your teachers and the principal discussed them in the faculty meeting, and we all agree, it's too soon. They really should be cancelled."

"What?" everyone stared.

"Ah, but we already know about them," said Dogsbreath.

"I guess when you think about why we had to move into the dorms, it does make sense," said Clueless.

Snotlout smirked broadly, pleased to know that he will be left out.

Helga frowned at him. "Only because you will be able to get to do one."

"But…" Eret continued. "Some people think that we won't be able to raise strong heroes with that sort of protective outlook and with that in mind, the compromises to be selective about participating agencies. So choose one with a proven track record, otherwise you won't be taking part."

Snotlout smirk then suddenly vanished. "Damnit!"

Hiccup sat there, thinking. 'Agency with a good track record of work studied?'

He remembered what his mother had said about Skullcrusher introducing him to his former sidekick.

With that in mind, he made his way to the faculty office and asked if his father would introduce.

"Wait, you want me to introduce to you to Sir Nighteye for the work-study program?" Stoick stared.

"Yes," Hiccup nodded.

Stoick looked at him curiously. "So Sir Nighteye, who could have put that idea into your head?" The gears turning his head and he realised who. "Of course, you wanted to be proactive, so you contacted your mother, didn't you?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I refuse. I'm saying that not to punish you, though. I have three very good reasons, first up I opposed work studies in a faculty meeting yesterday. I think it unnecessary for first-years to start them so early."

"I agree," said Black Hole.

"I say that we just any students that want to go the extra mile," said Midnight.

"Reason two, you need to improve your fighting style," Stoick continued. "We should work on that before you start doing extra hero work."

"He's put in a lot of training already," said Multiple Man.

"But there's still plenty of room for improvement before he can music reliably," said Cementos.

"And third, I just don't want to talk to the guy," said Stoick.

"Dad, I need to expand my surroundings if I want to improve," said Hiccup. "Working with Sir Nighteye will help me do just that."

Stoick sighed. "I appreciate your enthusiasm, son. But I can't introduce you…" Hiccup was pressed fallen, but Stoick then smiled. "…emphasis on I."

The big three were making their way down the hallway.

"Macario Fade, Skullcrusher would like to speak with you," said a woman on the intercom system. "Please head to the counselling office at once. I repeat, please make your way to the counselling office."

Macario face beamed. "Skullcruhser wants to talk to me? I wonder what it's about."

"Hey, Macario what do you do?" Ase asked. "Are you in trouble or something?"

"What business would Skullcrusher have with you?" Asmund asked.

"No clue, but I better go and see," he said in quickly dashed off.

Soon he was in the counselling office with Skullcrusher and Hiccup.

"I'm super under the new want to talk to me, sir," said Macario.

"I'm a little confused right now," said Hiccup.

"Right, I'm completely clueless, too," said Macario.

"You've already met Macario, right?" said Skullcrusher looking at Hiccup. "He is currently doing his work-study at Nighteye's Agency."

Hiccup stared at Macario. "Seriously? That's so cool!"

"Yep, I've been working alongside him for full-year now."

"You're guaranteed to be his sidekick when you graduate."

"Well, as long as Sir doesn't change his mind, yeah."

"That's awesome," Hiccup beamed.

"Let me get straight to the point, tell me Macario do you think this first year has what it takes to work beside you with the agency?"

"Now I get it, that's what you call me in here to talk about," said Macario. "You want me to take Hiccup to him, though an introduction."

"Yes," Stoick nodded.

Macario looked at him, confused. "But why do you have to go through me? I've always him what video click to view in his spare time. I'm sure he'll be really happy if you call him up yourself."

"I can't exactly facing right now," Stoick admitted. "Because he was dead right, higher exactly where he warned me I would be."

Hiccup frowned wonder what he meant by that.

Stoick looked at Macario. "So do you think Hiccup has what it takes?"

"That's a tough one," said Macario and looked at Hiccup. "Why are you telling what kind of hero, you want to be?"

"What kind?" Hiccup pondered and remembered watching clips of his father in action when he was just a little kid. "I want to save people with everything I have, no matter who they are all where they come from."

'I've been through some intense times, the more I experience, the more I see how hard it is to be the kind of hero I want to be. That's why I have to become stronger.'

Everyone was silent as they waited for Macario to say something.

Macario then smiled. "There's no reason for me to say no after the speech like that, so I'll do it."

"You mean it?" Hiccup beamed. "Thank you so much!"

"Sure, I always figured that Sir would take a liking to you anyway."

"I sure hope he does."

"Don't get too excited, I don't know if Sir will agree to take you on."

Stoick just smiled as the two of them talked, and it was clear they were becoming fast friends. 'You certainly made quite a few friends since joining the school, son.'

Soon it was the weekend, and some members of Class 1-A were having breakfast.

"A whole day off, huh?" said Clueless as he brushed his teeth.

"Yeah, after all the exams and special training, we can finally take it easy for a change," said Agnar as he was brushing his teeth.

"Morning!" Hiccup yelled as he ran past them with incredible speed.

Agnar blame to the dust trail left behind by Hiccup. "Okay, what's up with him?"

Clueless notice that Ranger and Snotlout were leaving the dorm as well. "Look over there, they got Provisional Licence Training on the weekends."

"You really should be thankful to the teachers," said Ranger looking at Snotlout. "You got caught fighting with Hiccup, but they're still going to let you retake the exam."

"Will you shut it," Snotlout grumbled.

"We've got to catch up with our classmates soon."

"What part of shut up don't you understand!"

Snotlout shout to be heard all the way from the dorm.

"We're having a study session with Fishlegs later, do you guys want to come along?" Clueless asked, looking at the others.

"Sorry, but we're busy today," said Dogsbreath.

"I'll be studying some websites," said Agnar.

"Then I guess I'm on my own, have fun," said Clueless.

Hiccup and Clueless took a train to Detroit, which was only an hour away from Berk, and were soon standing in front of Sir Nighteye's Hero Agency.

"Well, here we are, Nighteye's Agency," said Macario and noticed that Hiccup was looking rather nervous. "Take it easy, just take a deep breath. Oh, and fair warning Sir is a pretty strict guy."

"I'm fully aware," said Hiccup. "He's famous for being demanded on others as well as himself. Every time I see his gaze on TV, it shivers me to the bone."

"That's absolutely true, but that there is a totally different side of him that the press never gets to see." Hiccup looked at him blankly. "If you want to get acknowledged by him, here's a tip. You have to do one important thing in this meeting, you've got to make laugh, and then he'll totally approve of you."

Hiccup stared at him. "Hold on, what does that mean?"

"Exactly as it sounds like," said Macario as they entered inside. "He seems stern, but he values humour for some reason. It's like irony, or something, I think. The most I can do is introduce you to him, Sir is the one who will decide whether he can use you. I wish I could help more, but that's all I've got, from here on out you'll have to figure out how to make Sir acknowledge yourself."

"I've been meaning to ask, why is it then using to know so much about me even though we basically just met?" Hiccup asked curiously.

"When you're talking about? I don't know you at all, I do know that you have a crazy ambitious goal and you're fighting to turn it into reality. Wanting to help someone out who travel is basically hero 101, am I right?"

Hiccup smiled and couldn't help but agree with him.

They soon came to a stop to what Hiccup assumed to be Nighteye's office.

"If you wanna get stronger, then walk on through," said Marcario.

"Go it."

Nighteye was currently sitting at his desk listening to the report from his blue-skinned sidekick, Bubble Girl.

"Let's see the meeting site was already deserted by the time we got there, but we did find evidence that blood had been wiped off the floor," she said. "Due to the massive amount of damage done to the building itself, it's safe to presume that some sort of fight went down there. It's most likely League of Villains, but were not positive that—"

"That's enough," said Nighteye and Bubble Girl looked at him confused. He then rose to his feet and started to approach. "You know there's no future for society with no humour or energy."

Bubble Girl then nervously backed away. "Uh, sir, the report is really long, so I was just trying not to mess up." Nighteye kept on advancing towards she cringed with fear. "No, please don't!"

Hiccup and Marcario then entered the office about 30 seconds later.

"Hey, I brought that first-year dude I mentioned yesterday," said Marcario.

'Dad really talked about or his agency, I wonder what this place really is like,' said Hiccup.

Then he heard the sound of laughter and found that Bubble Girl was strapped to some sort of torture device. This torture device had been outfitted with feathers, and they were tickling her all over.

"Okay, not what I expected," Hiccup blinked blankly.

"See, this is how loud and energetic you can be," said Nighteye.

"Stop!" Bubble Girl pleaded.

Hiccup looked at Marcario. "Marcario, what have I stepped into?"

"That is sidekick, Bubble Girl," said Marcario as if this was a regular occurrence. "I guess she didn't make him laugh."

Nighteye then turned his gaze upon them or more precisely on Hiccup, and he gulped.

"Da, da, I'm dead," he said.
