When they got back to the Academy, Hiccup and the others began working tirelessly cheering their training. The latter class took note of their drive, though they had no idea what the reason behind it was.

There are currently rockclimbing inside the gym and Hiccup, and the others were further ahead than anyone.

'A few days had passed. The pro heroes and Sir Nighteye were doing their best to find a location of Grimmel, Dragon Killer young head, and his young daughter Ariel. Until we could help we were on standby, and we were under orders not say anything about our Work-Studies to anyone.'

Hiccup had managed to reach the top of the wall and was looking down at everyone.

"You can really tell who started their Work Studies," said Ingrid.

"They picked up some tricks while they were away from here," Snotlout grunted. "Hey, what have you guys been learning! Tell me!"

"Sorry, we can't," said Dogsbreath as he continued to climb.

'Ragnar… Dogsbreath… Astrid… Heather… everyone who was there for the conference would be part of the operation to save Ariel.'

Despite the fact that they were going to be taking part, Trapster made it abundantly clear that they will not be too heavily involved.

"Don't get too worked up about this," he said, looking at them. "The Big Three are one thing, they're strong enough to hold their own out there with the pros. But the rest of you will be minimally involved. Ragnar… Astrid… Heather… Dogsbreath… you didn't volunteer for this, and you are not obligated to participate. It's your call."

Astrid then rose to her feet. "Trapster, after everything we have heard I can't imagine not helping out."

"Yeah, if you're going to let us be part of this, I would like to help however I can," said Heather.

"The heroes asked you to be in that meeting, I don't think they would have wanted you guys to be there if they didn't recognise your abilities," said Asmund. "I mean I've seen for myself that a first-year can shine much more brighter than me."

"You're going to have to let that go at some point, you know," said Ase.

"If I can use my power to help that girl, even a little bit, then count me in Trapster," said Dogsbreath smashing his fists together.

"You can count me in as well, no way I can leave a job unfinished," said Ragnar.

Trapster nodded, not expecting anything less. "As long as you all understand that asked here is limited. For now, our only goal is to rescue Ariel, it won't step in further than that. Given the recent altercation, neither the police nor Nighteye believes the League of Villains and Dragon Killer have formed a partnership. So the chances are relatively low that the League will be involved in this raid. But if it turns out that they're mistaken about that and the League does end up making an appearance you guys are out."

"Understood, sir," they said.

Everyone continued with the routine in school, though far more driven than before. Hiccup was now making his way to the canteen ordered his lunch and sat down at his table.

'We were pumped up and ready to rescue Ariel, but something was still waiting on me. It didn't seem like a good time to ask Nighteye since we were now forbidden to talk about our Work Studies I can bring it up with my father either, and it's not something I could talk to everyone else about. Ariel's situation… the threat to my father… it was almost too much for me. I knew that I needed to focus and put everything I had into rescuing Ariel, but my mind felt so scattered that it was barely holding together.'

"You're not going to eat?" said Ranger's voice.

Hiccup snapped back to reality and saw Speedfist and Ranger sitting next to him, he and realise that he had been sit staring at his food for about five minutes.

"Yes, sorry," said Hiccup shaking his head and which were his sandwich. "Sorry, I just have other things on my mind."

"Yeah, you have been a little strange lately," said Speedfist looking at him concerned. "Well, stranger than usual."

"Has something happened at your Work-Study?" Ranger asked as he began eating his noodles.

"Yeah, but I'm afraid I'm not allowed to talk about it," said Hiccup looking at the two of them.

"It's that serious?" Speedfist blinked.

Hiccup sighed. "Believe me, I want to tell you to get this off my chest, but I can't. Not even allowed to tell the other teachers."

"Sounds like something big is going down," said Ranger.

"Yeah, but I can't say any more than that."

Hiccup really wish that he could talk to them, but this operation was just too sensitive. He was confident that both Ranger and Speedfist would keep it secret, but he just couldn't take that chance. Especially considering that the light was on the line.

All over the entire country, all the heroes were trying to track down Ariel's location following all of Nighteye's instruction to determine her location.

'As you investigate possible locations, consider the following criteria. One: Is this a place where metapower destroying bullet can be manufactured? Two: Do people or goods go in or out frequently? Three: Has the area seen a recent influx in illegal drugs? Dragon Killer has a plan in place, they are working quickly and quietly to carry it out. We must proceed with utmost care moving forward.'

Valka was flying over New York and getting information on Alvin's investigation.

"Alvin, how are things on your end?" she asked.

She kept on flying as Alvin responded the question.

"All right, keep looking and let us know what you find," she said before cutting him off. "The first half of the list turned up nothing. They've got to be hiding the girls somewhere."

All this time, Hiccup and the others kept their phones close at hand waiting for a response, but they didn't get a response until two days later in the middle of the night.

Hiccup had been too stressed to fall asleep, and then he notices phone vibrate next to his desk. He quickly picked it up and made his way down to the foyer where he ran across Astrid and the others, all of them grasping their phones.

"You guys too?" Ragnar asked.

"We got it," said Astrid.

"It's happening," said Hiccup.

Eret too, had received the message at his desk. "With that many people out looking, it went pretty quickly."

The Big Three had also received the summons now everyone was getting prepared for the biggest rescue operation they had experienced so far.

In the morning, the rest of Class 1-A were getting ready for their lessons today. However, their thoughts were focused on Hiccup and the others, who had left this morning.

"I know that Fishlegs is still off at Los Angeles, but I wonder where the rest of the Work-Study students are?" Tuffnut asked.

"Yeah, it's strange," said Sven. "Hiccup hasn't been himself lately."

"I know, did you see him this morning?" Clueless asked.

Sven nodded. "Huh-uh, he was staring at his food with this intense look on his face."

"It wasn't only him, the other four looked really serious too," Tuffnut added. "Like something big was about to happen."

"You guys think what they've been doing out there is dangerous?" Clueless asked.

"Even if it is they would be with pros, right?" Sven pointed out.

"That's true, there's probably nothing to worry about," said Tuffnut.

In Detroit, Nighteye has informed all the heroes present the location of the Ariel.

Rock Lock stared at him. "What? They're keeping this Ariel girl in their stronghold?"

Fat Gum looked at Nighteye. "And by stronghold you mean…"

"The headquarters of Dragon Killer, is their leader's residence," said Scarlet.

"So you're telling me all of that time we spent investigating was fun nothing then?" Rock Lock huffed.

"Not at all, we gained plenty of new information as well," said Nighteye.

"How did you confirm she was there?" Fat Gum asked curiously.

Nighteye then pulled out a sparkly pink box which depicted a couple cute girls. On the box was huge pink letters that spelt 'Glitter Squad 10'.

"A member of the Dragon Killer visited a nearby department store the other day," said Nighteye. Everyone just stared at him blankly, not quite sure how to respond to this piece of information. "He purchased a toy favoured by young girls."

"What?" Fat Gum blinked.

"That's pretty sparkly," said Rock Lock.

Fat Gum just shook his head and looked directly at Nighteye. "This and maybe the guy just like cutesy stuff. Different strokes for different folks Nighteye. And want to tell us what you're doing with one though?"

"Yes, I was there when he made the purchase and overheard his conversation with the store clerk."

Yesterday Nighteye followed a known member of the Dragon Killer clan to the department store.

"Hey, what's that show little girls are into these days?" he said, looking at the clerk. "Glitter something or other?"

"Oh sure, I wonder if you're talking about Glitter Squad maybe?"

"Yeah, that's the one. I remember now, it's Squad Action Glitter Squad. So you got any of those?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir. The Squad Action Glitter Squad series was from a number of years ago. The current series is Hung Ho Glitter Squad 10."

"Really? Okay, where are those then?"

Nighteye then placed a hand on his shoulder and held out the toy in question. "They're right here."

He quickly turned and stared at him. "Whoa, where did you come from?"

"You were asking about Glitter Squad," said Nighteye activating his power. "I'm a fan too."

Using his power, he gained all the information he needed, how to access the secret underground labyrinth at Dragon Killer headquarters and the location of Ariel.

Rock Lock looked pretty annoyed after he explained how he got the location. "You use your powers anyway?"

Nighteye looked at him. "If you recall, I said that I would use it when our path was more certain."

"Whatever, this means we got the data we need, right?" said Fat Gum.

"Yes," Centipede nodded. "And we know for sure when they will be there thanks to our stakeouts."

"We already worked with the police and got a warrant to search the place," said Bubble Girl cheerfully. "Next step—"

Fat Gum then cut across her. "—is to barge in there."

"Hey, that's my line!"

Hiccup looked at Astrid and the others, all of them not telling him that they were ready to rescue Ariel.

Marcario, in particular, was rather eager to get things underway. "Come on, Hiccup! Let's go and rescue Ariel!"

Hiccup smiled. 'Good it seems like he's back to normal.'

Asmund smiled at him while Ase laughed.

Nighteye looked at Marcario. 'Marcario, you've been regretting what happened in that alleyway whole time, haven't you? But I hope you know that it was only because you held your ground that we were able to go into this mission fully prepared. Regret and failure are an inevitable part of life. What is actually important though it was you learn from them.'

Nighteye remembered seeing into Skullcrusher's future when he was critically wounded and what he saw disturbed him.

'I don't know if it's possible to change the future, but you can change the effect the past has on you. By interpreting your history, it is possible to modify how you view the present. Marcario, shine I know you are someone who can do that.'

Hiccup and the others went in order to get change into hero costumes and prepare themselves for the battle that was inevitable to come.

'This time for sure,' said Hiccup.

'For sure,' said Marcario.

"Now then let's begin," said Nighteye.

Half an hour later, deep beneath the headquarters of Dragon Killer Chrono have just received word something big going down on the surface.

"A bunch of them had gathered earlier this morning, the police are backing them up," said the guy on the other side of the phone.

Chrono looked at Grimmel. "Boss, it sounds like he figured out where we are."

"So they're coming," Grimmel sighed. "Proceed according to plan."

"You got it, sir."

Grimmel rose to his feet and looked at Mimic. "Prepare yourself."

"Right," Mimic nodded.

Chrono saw Grimmel leaving. "Where are you going?"

"To take care of something."

It was now 8 AM, and everyone had gathered outside the police station, a good 100 policemen were standing at attention outside.

"As you know Nighteye was able to use his powers on a Dragon Killer member," said the commissioner. "Through him, he saw an underground facility, we believe them to be this mafia's group's headquarters. We are also able to confirm that the girl we're trying to rescue is currently being held in one of the rooms there.

"Although we are unable to map out the entire layout of the underground hallways, we believe the man that Sir Nighteye sort of the shortest wrapped our target. This is the best intel we have at the moment concerning the Dragon Killer's stronghold. Is the basis of this mission."

"I also took some time to modify my armour," Hiccup spoke up. "I've installed an echolocation system, once I'm inside I should be able to map out the entire facility."

"We do think ahead Night Fury," said Red Riot.

"That will certainly help," the commission nodded. "However, we must stay smart. These guys are dangerous, and we can expect them to bring their powers full against us at force. We are passing a list of current Dragon Killer members and their powers, according to registration databases. Please commit this to memory."

The police then began handing everyone the lists.

"This is solid information to have on hand. Thank you for this."

"We don't want to give them time to hide," said the commissioner. "Our aim is to identify and apprehend all members as quickly as possible while securing our target."

Red Riot looked at everyone. "Everything is moving fast now, huh?"

"You are energetic, considering how early it is," said Suneater.

"It certainly a little nerve-wracking," said Sprite

"Yeah, I haven't been this nervous since Hell's Kitchen," said Valkyrie.

"I know how you feel," said Windshear. "First detective work and now we're operating with the police. There's so much that I don't know."

"Right, so official," said Surge.

"That's true," said Scarlet approaching them. "Schools don't always prepare you for investigations like this. It takes some time to adjust."

"He's right," said a hero.

"All the pros seem like they're pretty chilled, huh?" Red Riot noted.

"They probably have done this a 1000 times, it's standard procedure to them," said Sprite.

"Hey, I haven't seen my mother around here this morning," Hiccup noted.

"Apparently she won't be joining us today," said Nighteye.

"Sir?" Hiccup blinked looking at him.

"Alvin has been keeping an eye on the League, according to him it looks like they're on the move," said the commissioner. "Fortunately we have plenty of heroes here so we can afford to send Technora."

"I see," said Hiccup sounding rather disappointed by his helmet.

"Perhaps we can take down Dragon Killer and the League of Villains at the same time," Red Riot smiled.

"Something tells me it won't be that easy," said Sprite.

"He's right," said Trapster as he approached them and looked directly at Hiccup. "I'll be joining up with Nighteye Agency for this, do you understand me?"

"Yes, sir," Hiccup nodded.

"Now heroes think to get violent quickly out there," said the commissioner. "If you encounter a hint of suspicious behaviour or resistance, call the help immediately."

Fat Gum then handed Suneater a food bag. "Here take this swordfish, eat up."

"You think I needed?" said Suneater looking at him and took the bag. "Okay, sure."

"We're up against gangsters who have avoided capture up to now, it is imperative that each of you carry out your respective assignments and stay sharp in there."

The commissioner then saluted, and the policeman followed suit.

"We will commence the operation at 8:30 hours, heroes move out!"

Grimmel meanwhile was visiting an old man, who was deep in a coma and strapped life-support systems.

"Sorry, paps," he said, looking at the old man. "Things are about to get noisy."

The heroes in the police didn't waste any time and any time and make their way to the headquarters of Dragon Killer and by 8:30 everyone had taken up positions.

The commissioner looked at his men and heroes. "Once they read the warrant, then you are free to move. I'm counting on everyone to act swiftly."

"What's with this guy? He's acting as if we don't know our jobs," Rock Lock muttered.

"You know that's not what he means, Rock Lock," said Fat Gum. "Give it a rest."

"The real problem is these Dragon Killer yahoos are good and living in the shadows. They see all these heroes and the police, they might just disappear."

Before the commissioner could press on the intercom, the front door burst wide open in a large man appeared. The police that were standing close to the door was sent flying across the air, but Trapster and Hiccup managed to grab them before they hit the ground.

"Are you all right?" Hiccup asked, looking down the policeman.

"I think so."

"What do you want?" said the large man. "It's too early for visitors."

"Oh man, you kidding me?" said Rock Lock. "How do they already know we're here?"

"No time for questions, let's go!"

"That's good," said the villain. "I'm waking up a little."

He then raised his fist on the muscles in his arm expanded slightly.

"Brace yourselves!" Scarlet yelled.

"Why are you people here?" the villain roared and swung his massive fist towards them.

There was a massive shockwave and just cover the entire area, making it impossible to see. When the dust finally settled, everyone saw that Scarlet had transformed into a huge dragon had caught the billions fist with her claw.

"Listen to me!" she yelled. "We should split up too many of our forces yet. The Scarlet Agency will take care of this villain." She then looked at the billing off his feet and then slammed into the road. "The rest of you go!"

"Let's support Scarlet," said Surge, looking at Valkyrie and Windshear.

"Right," Astrid nodded.

"You heard her!" Fat Gum as he gestured for everyone to follow him. "Everyone move, come on!"

With the police immediately rushed into the building and the commissioner held up the search warrant.

"This is the heroes and the police!" he yelled. "We have a warrant to search your premises for the suspicion of manufacturing and sale of illegal drugs!"

In the front garden with three Dragon Killer members, and they were taken completely by surprise.

"They've got a search warrant?"

"Who cares!"

One of them then raised his palm and thorns rushed out of a nearby bush towards them. The police quickly raise their shields in order to block the attack, and then the heroes attacked them quickly.

"Stop resisting!" said a hero.

"The shoreline with a brawler, these guys ain't scared," Rock Lock noted.

"Quickest rout! Let's go! Get to the girl!" Fat Gum yelled.

"We've got this, don't worry?" said Vemillion.

"Yes," Hiccup nodded. 'Ariel, we're coming.'

'This time we will be different,' Vemillion promised.

'This time we will save you!'

Grimmel and Chrono were making their way down the hallway towards Ariel room.

"I can hear them… barely," said Chrono. "A lot of them out there sounds like they're running the same direction. Which means they already know where they want to go. They probably only know where we are."

"It happened sooner than I thought it would," said Grimmel. "We can't afford to be found right now. They attacked on their own, make that the story. That is what our pawn were groomed for."

"The Eight Bullets of the Dragon Killer Clan," said Chrono.

"While they're buying us time, we will collect Ariel and any other evidence of our plans and support."

Grimmel then opened the door that led to Ariel's room, and she was just sitting there on her bed, looking terrified.
