Technora and Alvin were driving along to follow the lead on the League, neither of them were aware of what was happening Detroit.

"So, you had eyewitness reports," said Technora looking a photo of Viggo and Ryker. "Hard to believe they're this deep in the mountains. There's not much out here, and I'm better suited to fighting in a city, not in the outdoors. You're absolutely sure that it's the Grimborn brothers?"

"In the last couple of days four people have reported spotting," said Alvin as he drove the car. "Given how the area is, I say the odds are good."

"I guess that's true, but Viggo Dean he is rather strange," Technora frowned. "Like me, he's a technopath so we can assume that he has some heavy hardware with him. Ryker is the bigger problem with his ability to warp inmate harder corner and catch. Still, four several reports does sound careless, I don't get it. What's the League of Villains up to?"

"Even if we don't fully understand what their motives are is our best chance to arrest the Grimborns," Alvin pointed out. "We needed to go smoothly some counting on you, Val."

Technora merely smiled. "It feels good to be back in the game."

Finally, they reached the mountain forest and began the operation.

"Assistance needed, the suspects have been found," said a policeman over the radio. "They must be secured before they escape."

"That means you're up," said Alvin looking at Technora.

"On it," said Technora and took off.

She took off into the air and moved with incredible speed and was able to track down Viggo and Ryker. The two of them appear to be wandering through the forest, and as far as she could tell, there was nothing of any value nearby.

Viggo says then quickly turned. "We've been discovered!"

Ryker quickly began to activate his power.

"You're not going anywhere!" Technora yelled and quickly struck Ryker with her holographic staff, pinning him quickly to the ground. "So I finally get to meet both of you, it's a pleasure gentleman."

Viggo merely stood there with his hands behind his back. "Technora, it's always a pleasure to see fellow technopath. I see you added some kind of shielding to prevent me from taking control of your armour."

"An added precaution." Technora then looked down at Ryker while not keeping her eyes off Viggo. "The two of you together would make things difficult for us to stop the League, it will make things easy with you gone."

Alvin and policeman arrived aiming their guns at Viggo. They make sure not using more modern weapons only using guns before they introduced electronics.

"Freeze!" Alvin yelled. "The two of you are not going anywhere!" He then quickly looked at Technora. "Technora, be careful with Ryker is a uses powers with both his hands and his head. He'll be hard to restrain."

"I'm well aware, I can take and speed out of here before he gets a chance to bolt," Technora assured him.

Viggo smiled. "Tell me, have you or the officers heard whispers of a man with a wild appearance traversing this area?"

Technora looked at him suspiciously. "What's that?"

"It seems he's gotten too much attention, though I suppose that can't be helped. We have business with the individual in question."

"You can tell us all about it during your interrogation," said Technora.

Viggo smiled. "Alas, I'm afraid that won't be happening."

Then the ground shook violently.

"Was that an earthquake?" Alvin asked.

"We're nowhere near a fault line," said Technora.

"His master is very forward-thinking," Viggo smiled as the tremors got louder.

"What are you talking about?" Technora demanded.

Viggo then remembered the last conversation he had with Drago.

'Listen carefully, for whatever reason I go away for an extended period. You and your brother will be the only one who can protect Krogan. That said, should you ever be concerned or feel as though you need assistance there is someone else you can rely on.'

"Detective Alvin… Technora… you must realise that Krogan is not the only person that Drago cultivated," said Viggo.

All of them and heard what sounded like a radio when they turned, they saw a giant man coming into view. He was so large that he was as tall as the trees, he wore nothing but a pair of ragged trousers and around his neck was an old boombox.

"Allow me to introduce to one of his most faithful servants Giganto," said Viggo.

Technora, Alvin and the police officers just stared at him in horror they could easily tell that this man could possibly be as strong as Skullcrusher.

"Everything is for the glory of my master," said Giganto as he raised his hand.

Seconds later he slammed it into the ground so hard that it sent a massive shock wave the forest scaring the birds out of the trees and uprooting some of them.

Meanwhile in Detroit, Hiccup was making his way to reception where Eret and Recovery Girl were watching the news.

"Young head of the former prominent Mafia group, Grimmel the Ghastly was arrested for the adoption and confinement of a young girl," said the reporter. "As the police were transporting him however they were attacked by the League of Villains. During the incident, the hero Sandman, who was serving as an escort, was killed. There were also members of law enforcement, who were injured. This attack of a villain in custody is an unprecedented failure, officials have also—"

"This is the only thing they reported on since yesterday," said Recovery Girl.

Eret looked at Hiccup, who had been staring at the TV. "It's not something you should be responsible for. Please, try not to blame yourself."

"Yeah, okay," Hiccup nodded.

"Good news is that almost everyone is headed back to class. The doctors want to monitor Marcario a little while longer, but Recovery Girl was able to completely heal the rest of the students involved in the raid. They're gathering things now."

"I'll stick around a little while longer and heal a few more patients since I'm here."

"I take it is still no chance for me to talk to Ariel?" Hiccup assumed.

"Correct, right now we need to trust that doctors will help her. I know you want to say goodbye, but she'll be fine."

"In that case, I'll go and see Marcario before we go, I'll be right back," said Hiccup as he dropped his bag and case containing his hero costume. "Please, watch my staff."

"Hold on, we're leaving soon," said Eret as Hiccup ran off.

Hiccup reached Marcario's ward, but he was rather hesitant to knock on the door. He then mustered his courage and knocked on the door.

"Are you in there?" Hiccup asked as he entered. "It's me, Hiccup."

"Hey, my main man," Marcario smiled as he did stretches. "You must be heading back to campus, huh? I hear that I'm the only one who's got a stain the hospital. I don't get any look how much energy I have, it's kind of lame right?"

Hiccup was a little dumbfounded that Marcario was doing stretches despite wearing all those bandages. "Are you okay?"

Marcario sighed. "Yeah, I know, I know. I lost my power, and my mentor just passed away, I should be for the mopes, right? Not smiling so much. But that's the thing…" He then sat up straight. "Sir loved to laugh, I know he was super strict with you, but I got to see a different side of that always try to find the humour in things."

Hiccup admitted that was a bit of a stretch as the only time he ever saw Nighteye smile was on his deathbed. There again, he given the complicated relationship between him and his father was rather understandable.

"So you see I refuse to sit around crying because I've got a focus on becoming a fine hero one day," said Marcario looking out the window. "You know what I mean? Plus, if I've got a gloomy face on it might make little Ariel sad."

Hiccup looked at Marcario. "You were amazing, you protected Ariel the whole time, even after your power was taken away. But I couldn't do that, you kept that scared little girl safe on your own, but I had to have help from her and Mr Eret. If I had been stronger then maybe Nighteye would still be alive, and maybe my father's future would be different."

"Hey, it's not your fault," said Marcario. "You haven't even had a full year the Academy, but even still you able to stop Grimmel and save Ariel when I couldn't. You're a hero Night Fury if it weren't for you; none of this would have been possible.

"And besides Trapster told me about Ariel and how her power works. Later she gets older and trains she may be able to use her power properly and then ask if you can rewind me back to the time I still have my power. Even if that doesn't work, I'm not going to give up looking away to return to normal. I probably take some time off at classes at Berk to my power comes back, but don't worry about me. I'm going to be just fine. After all, I have to believe in Sir's prediction will come true, so do me a favour and let both keep smiling."

Hiccup smiled. "Okay."

"I promise I won't give up on Berk, because I'm a hero who will save a million people."

"Good, I'll be waiting for you."

Unbeknownst to them listening to their conversation was Stoick, he had planned to enter but decided to let the two boys bond.

About 10 minutes later, both Ragnar and Dogsbreath left the hospital and saw Hiccup waiting outside.

"Hiccup," said Ragnar as they approach them. "Did you get all healed up?"

"Yeah, I'm good now," Hiccup nodded.

"Hiccup Haddock… Ragnar Keatson and Dogsbreath Barfbrain," said a policeman. "I'm sorry to bother you three after your discharge, but we would like you to come down to the station with us. We have some questions for you about the incident."

"Yes, sir," said Dogsbreath.

"Anything you need," said Hiccup.

"We'll help you any way possible," said Ragnar.

'With that our return to the dorms was delayed even further. Meanwhile, the rest of Class 1-A carried on as usual.'

Snotlout and Ranger were heading out for their training session.

"It's time, Snotlout," said Ranger.

"Shut up! I'm coming!" Snotlout growled.

"We can't delay getting to the training course."

"I know!"

'Thanks to the police questions and paperwork that had to be done following the raid, we didn't end up getting back to the dorms until the late in the afternoon.'

The police had just dropped off the boys were starting to make their way to the dorms when the girls rushed up to them.

"Hiccup… Ragnar… Dogsbreath!" Astrid yelled.

"Astrid… Heather," said Ragnar.

"Are you two girls just getting back to the dorms now too?" Hiccup asked.

"Yep," Astrid nodded.

"There were a lot of last-minute forms to fill out at Scarlet's office," said Heather.

"We do that too," said Dogsbreath.

"Understandable given the circumstances," said Ragnar.

Astrid then turned and looked at the dorm. "You know what's weird, it like we haven't been back here in a long time."

"Yeah," Heather nodded.

"Well, let's go," said Dogsbreath.

They then made their way to the door and found the rest of their class waiting for them in the hallway.

"There you guys are!" Agnar your dashing towards them. "It's about time you showed up!"

"All of us were worried about you," said Helga.

"Yeah, we saw the news," said Clueless.

"It looked terrifying," said Ruffnut.

"Is anyone hurt?" Tuffnut asked.

"What troublemakers," said Agnar.

"Tell us everything," said Olaf.

"I made this for you," said Calder holding out a freshly baked cake. "It's a double chocolate cake."

"First DC and now the Mafia?" said Clueless looking at Hiccup and Dogsbreath. "You guys are always getting into crazy situations. Do you know how much that scares us?"

"Yeah, sorry about that," said Hiccup.

"I'm just glad that they're okay," said Magnus.

"I mean I don't know, are they?" Ingrid asked. "How can we be sure?"

Helga quickly hugged Astrid and Heather tightly. "Astrid! Heather! Thank goodness you're both okay!"

"That's a little tight," said Astrid.

"Given the chance to breathe," said Heather.

Ranger voted phone vibrate and then walked off.

"Enough!" Speedfist yelled loudly. "I know everyone was worried, but calm down! We also news coverage, our classmates have been through an ordeal! If you want to help, you should consult them quietly and let them rest their bodies and their minds, because I'm sure today wasn't taxing just physically but mentally as well."

"Hey, Speedfist, thanks for that but really this is okay," Hiccup assured him.

"Then if I may…" He then suddenly rushed up to him and began shaking him violently. "Do you have any idea how worried I was all of you? It was awful! What if you never returned?"

"Take your own advice and chill out," said Tuffnut.

"I have taken the liberty of preparing lavender tea," said Jeeves as he approached with the tray.

"And have some cake at the very least," said Calder.

Heather looked at Astrid. "Astrid, you okay?"

After the operation, both Astrid and Heather wore one of the few heroes not injured at least physically. Eret sat there with them as they discussed their guilt over certain parts of the event.

"It's just that I can't help but think I could have done more," said Astrid looking down at her knees. "I held Nighteye in my arms. What if I had been faster or stronger?"

Eret then placed his hand on her shoulder. "Listen to me, each of you did everything within your power. The responsibility for this lies with us. I won't tell you not to mourn, but I do want you to think about whether this is what you want your future to be. What do you want?"

"I want to… to save people," said Astrid.

Heather remained quiet, knowing that she was still suffering from the trauma of the raid.

"Why the heck did you tell us what was going on?" Tuffnut asked. "We were totally blindsided by this."

"We were sworn to secrecy, if the information of our operation got out then things could have been a lot worse," said Ragnar and then he looked at Dogsbreath. "When about you, out of all those you suffer the most?"

Dogsbreath just shrugged. "I'm good or at least getting there."

Snotlout just sat there on the sofa moping.

"Hey, Snotlout," said Clueless approaching him. "What are you will be here sulking for? Admitted you are out here because you were worried, am I right? Let those feelings, why don't you?"

Snotlout rose to his feet. "I'm going to bed."

"What?" Clueless stared as he walked off. "Seriously? It's so early?"

"Unlike the rest of you, I've got stuff to do."

Ranger then made his way back into the dorm and looked at Hiccup and the others. "Hey, guys. I'm glad you all back and everyone is safe, but I've got to get to bed."

"Huh? Since when have I been around geezers?" Clueless frowned.

"I understand Snotlout, but Ranger wants to leave this early too?" Heather frowned.

"They got their Provisional Licensing Training Course tomorrow," Ingrid reminded them. "But still it is pretty early."

It was easy to forget the two of them had failed the License Exam because they were very skilled.

'Snotlout and Ranger have already started their courses, they must be working hard,' said Hiccup.

Hiccup and the others started to make their way back to bed.

'Speedfist insisted that we go back to our rooms to try and get some rest. We finally had time to reflect on what we've been through. I only heard the highlights about what had gone down between Ragnar and the others, but I knew a lot had happened to everyone. No, too much had happened.'

Hiccup later in his bed thinking about the past few days from when he encountered signed up to Nighteye's agency all the way to Nighteye's dying breath. It had been a hard fight, and none of them had come back unstaved, but they succeeded with their objective though not without a high cost.

'Even though my body was exhausted, that night I couldn't actually get myself to sleep.'

The next morning, Snotlout and Ranger were making their way to the bus, which would take them to their Training Course.

"Poor Mr Eret," said Ranger. "I feel bad making him train us after everything he just went through."

"I'm not gonna make small talk with you," Snotlout huffed.

"You should—" Ranger stopped when they saw that medium the bus was not Eret, but Stoick and Loudspeaker.

"Your late," said Loudspeaker.

"Loudspeaker? Skullcrusher? Why are you here?" Ranger frowned.

"We'll be taking you to training today," Stoick explained.

"Eret is a little busy after the Mafia raid yesterday," Loudspeaker explained.

"Oh, is he more seriously injured than we thought?" Ranger asked.

"No," said Loudspeaker shaking his head. "Apparently they need his power to help with the girl he rescued."

"We're taking extra precautions due to the League's activity on my recommendation," said Stoick.

Yesterday he had been speaking to his wife about her assignment with Alvin.

"You caught Ryker?" said Stoick stunned.

"That's right, though we took some hard hits during the process," said Valka.

"Well, the League should practically be ours for the taking that one is out of commission."

"Not quite, we fail to capture his brother and then there was the other guy."

"Who was he?"

"Drago's direct subordinate it seems. We tried our best about, but he's gone into hiding. Honestly between arresting Ryker and letting that monstrosity go it hard to say whether we made the right choice. You should have seen him, Stoick I'd say that he was a strong as you during your heyday. He was able to destroy an entire mountain range with just a wave of his hand."

"He's that strong?" Stoick gasped.

"We tried our best, but he's gone into hiding. Honestly, between arresting Ryker and letting that monstrosity and Viggo go, it's hard to say whether we made the right choice. We chased after him with backup, but by then it was too late. The search is still going on, I'll let you know there's any developments."

Stoick then looked at Snotlout and Ranger. "Right, let's go."

Loudspeaker nodded and looked. "Yesterday was an easy class lecture for you, but I here today your lesson today will be far tougher. Now let's get going and see we can get you to your licenses."

Stoick nodded. "We don't need to be late. Come on, climb in."

Ranger looked at Stoick looking slightly concerned. 'So Skullcrusher is going to be with us today. That might not be the best idea.'

Eventually, they arrived at the training facility.

"We'll be watching you from the stands," Stoick informed them.

"Just do your best out there," said Loudspeaker.

The two of them and left the young heroes began making their way towards the stands, and that's when they came face-to-face with Hellfire.

"Oh, if it isn't the former number one hero," he said. "Thanks for babysitting Snotlout. You're so useful."

Stoick narrowed his eyes. "Hellfire."

"This is perfect, I've been wanting to sit down and have a chat with you man-to-man with you for a while."

Loudspeaker looked at the two of them. "I'm going to get a cup of coffee."

"How would you get me some ice tea while you're at it," said the new voice.

They turned and saw walking towards them with a cold expression was a silver-haired man wearing a white and light blue costume.

"Iceberg?" Stoick stared.

Snotlout and Ranger were meanwhile making their way to the classroom. As they walked, Ranger remembered the phone call he had last night.

"Snotlout, great news. I've got some free time," said his father. "How about I come and watch your training tomorrow it's been—"

Ranger then hung up.

'Things are hectic between Skullcrusher and Hellfire. I can only imagine what it would be like with my father in the mix. And then there's—'

"Hey!" a voice yelled, and the two of them looked up and saw approaching them was Gunnar as enthusiastic as ever. "It's Berk!"

'I was really hoping that I wouldn't run into him,' Ranger sighed.

"Oooh, who are these handsome boys," said a female voice. They turned and saw approaching them was Cammie. "One is super cool, and the other one is super hot. I'm crazy psyched to train with the two of you."

"Cammie," said Gunnar.

"Hey, Gunnar do you know them or something?" Cammie asked and then looked at Snotlout and Ranger. "Can I have your numbers?"

"Uh, sure?" said Ranger looking awkward.

"You bet," said Snotlout.

Ranger then looked at Gunnar. "She didn't train with us before did she?"

"Correct, she wasn't here," Gunnar nodded.

"Cammie, this is beneath you!" said a voice and they saw that Asmund had appeared. "As a Meathead student, you should fraternise of such failures."

Snotlout narrowed his eyes. "You fail the first test we took!"

"I received permission to observe, so I'm here to judge you!"

"If you've failed, how can you be in any state to judge us?"

"Wait, you're Hellfire's son and Skullcrusher's nephew, right?" said Cammie looking at Snotlout and then turned towards Ranger. "And your Iceberg's son? The two of you are part of hero royalty on top of being good-looking, that's so totally amazing!"

"Get away from them!" Asmund roared.

While they were busy talking, they were unaware that they will be watched by Ness and Black Orca.

"It's about time we get started," said Ness.

"Yes," Black Orca nodded.

"Shall we make today's training, a little bit more interesting?"
