Snotlout and the others prepare themselves the children unleashed their powers. One of the children tossed dark balls with gnashing teeth that ripped right through Snotlout's mask.

"My balls will make a quick meal out of you," he said. "You didn't see that coming. These monsters are super fast and strong."

A split second later they were consumed by a dust cloud making it impossible to see.

"A smokescreen."

"Those guys won't know what hit them, come on let's go!"

"A dust cloud," Ranger coughed.

The children then began unleashing their long-range attacks which included rose petals, electricity, wooden projectiles, beams of light and a cannonball. All these attacks struck the four of them second after one another.

"Okay, didn't see that one coming," said Loudspeaker stunned. "That when I was there age, I was just learning how to get my yell working."

"As the generations pass, metapowers combine and become more powerful," said Asmund. "Hypothetically, stronger and more complex powers may one day become too hard for anyone to control, especially untrained children. Metapowers Singularity Doomsday, that's what they call this theory. These kids make me feel fearful that it is indeed our future."

"I'm sorry, please forgive me," the teacher cried and rose to her feet. "It's all my fault—"

She was no doubt about rush towards the children when Loudspeaker grabbed her wrist. "Wait, don't leave now. Things are just getting started, just watch and see how they react."

The students practising their combat were aware of the situation and were a little uneasy.

"Black Orca, is this okay?"

"Okay? Why would you ask?" he said. "Do you think I'm not paying attention? That this was unexpected? And not the outcome that I predicted from the very beginning?"

"No, sir! Of course not, we're sorry!"

"These are inspiring young heroes," said Black Orca as he looked towards Snotlout and the others the use their powers to shield themselves. "They may be failures, but they can handle themselves."

"Pretty bold of them to attack without hesitation like that," said Snotlout as he used the shockwaves of his explosions to push back their attacks. "I'm almost impressed."

"They know that we're hero trainees, they likely feel they don't need to hold back against us," said Ranger as he created an ice shield.

"It's so sad, I want to be their friend even if it wasn't part of their training," Gunnar cried as he used the wind to shield himself.

The children just stared at them dumbfounded as they were completely unfazed by their attacks.

"No way, they're not scared of our powers at all? Seriously?"

"They think that they're better than us just because they're older," said the snobbish kid.

"Come on everyone, let's show them more what we got."

"Leave it up to me," said a girl and fired a peak been directly at Ranger.

When the dust cleared, Ranger merely smiled at her. "Wow, you got such a beautiful face dear. Don't let that frown spoil the effect."

The girl looked at him dreamily until he vanished in a puff of smoke and in his place was Cammie.

"Sorry, hon, just a little illusion for ya," Cammie smiled, leaving the girl utterly crestfallen. "When you be so swoony, though. Our school is so mega old-fashioned that even doesn't allow us to go on dates. It's just the worst."

Cammie ability was clearly able to create illusions and Snotlout snickering hard at the Ranger illusion.

"That killed me, seriously I might die," he laughed.

"I don't know, but it merely that funny?" Ranger muttered under his breath.

"Anyway still the thing we were talking about before guys," said Gunnar.

The snobby cure just watched and starting to lose his nerve. 'You idiots think you know so much, but I outshine adults in everything… Piano… Fighting… It doesn't matter; I'm a prodigy. I see the hero get into trouble every day on TV and the police, then there's our weepie teacher. You're all completely hopeless compared to me to us! We will show you that we can use our powers better than you can ever even imagine! Just watch!'

Then suddenly Gunnar used the wind to lift all the children off the ground and all the physical constructs they have created.

"You kids are amazing, I'll give you that," said Gunnar. "The thing is, there's more to heroing than just power! Here I go!"

"Right," said Ranger.

"It's so lame that we can't do this outside, but whateves," she said and then started to cast an illusion.

She cursed the losing directly over them and soon they found themselves underneath a beautiful aura. Ranger then unleashed his ice and began to consume physical objects that Gunnar admitted into the air and formed ice slide. The children then suddenly found themselves sliding down the slide, and they were beginning to have fun. Snotlout then added the finishing touches casting by on the rings of light, and one of the kids had created.

"Amazing!" a girl cried excitedly as she slide down.

Everyone stop they would do instead of the ice slide, which was quite impressive.

"Whoa, I didn't know these guys can do this."

"What the heck did they do to this place?" said a girl. "I'm loving it."

"I can't make complex structures out of my ice yet, so I use the object you made as a frame for my design," Ranger explained. "Fortunately, you have some amazing powers."

The children were certainly excited as one by one they were carried to the top of the slide. Funnily enough, it was actually Snotlout's idea though there was no way he could have done this alone.

"All we got to do is show these brats how impressive we are," said Snotlout simply. 'Because, come on, losing someone you look down on you feel like crap. That's not the way we're going to win their hearts or whatever.'"

"We have to set them on the right path," Gunnar agreed, remembering his own experience. "Otherwise they going to cause problems later on, the same way I did during the Provisional Exam. I don't want to go down that same path."

"Yeah, if we don't warn their horizons, then what's the point, we make bad heroes," said Ranger.

All of them just looked at the ice slide and smiled at their handiwork.

"Playing instead of attacking in order to create a bond between them without breaking anyone spirit," said Amund looking impressed.

"Excellent use of your powers I was beginning to worry," Loudspeaker smiled.

Snotlout noted that all but one of the children was joining the fun, the snobby kit from earlier. "You too, get in and have some fun."

He then grabbed him and started towards the slide. "What are you doing? Get your hands off of me! You think I'm impressed by this?"

"You're their leader, aren't you, kid?" Snotlout asked. "If you keep looking down on everyone else, you'll never be able to see your own weaknesses. Don't make the same mistakes I did when I was your age."

He then took the kid over to and Ranger Gunnar. Gunnar then used his powers to let the kid up he can help but think of what Snotlout had said earlier.

'What he said just now,' he said. 'He wasn't talking down to me, but did you really mean all that? Yes, I think he did. His words, I can feel how true they are.'

"Next let's all work together," said Gunnar looking at the kids. "Let's go and make something even more amazing? How about an exploding rollercoaster?"

"Yes!" the kid yelled excitedly.

"That's not going to happen," said Ranger.

The teacher just stared in disbelief. "My problem children… what's going on here?"

"After this, it will be your turn, ma'am," said Loudspeaker. "Make sure you don't let all this handiwork go to waste."

"Right," she nodded.

Stoick and Hellfire just sat there and watched.

"What's important about being the strongest?" Stoick asked. "Tell me, Spitelout I'm sure you have a reason. So what is it?"

Hellfire I didn't answer just looked down his sanity played with the children.

Later that evening, the class finally came to an end, and Black Orca gathered everyone around for a final lecture.

"Work together and win the hearts of those children despite having such vague instructions," he said.

Snotlout and the others soon realise that he had done this on purpose much to the annoyance.

"The rest of you also did well," he continued. "Remember everything you've learned today and keep working. You, students, have so much potential…" He then shook his head and continue to act like the angry drill sergeant. "I mean you had better not fail!"

"Sir, yes, sir!" they all yelled.

Eventually got changed back into this uniform and was starting to make their way back to the respected schools.

"After what we put together in there I think one meant to be friends, don't you?" said Gunnar. "Our powers just works so well together."

"You think so?" said Ranger.

"Yeah, and Snotlout, you're smarter than you look," said Cammie.

"Thank you," Snotlout smiled, and then he suddenly looked back at her. "Hey, what did you just say?"

When they got outside, they found that the teachers were talking to one another.

"Sounds good," said Stoick. "We will also do whatever we can to help you."

Cammie then ran up to Asmund. "Oow, what's going on Asmund? You smoozing with Skullcrusher. Seriously, the symbol? What are you talking about? Hero staff, or what?"

"We were talking about you, fool!" Asmund snapped.

"For the realzess, that sweet," she said.

"The reality is by attacking you the League went after a school other than Berk," the teacher explained. "Until now our schools haven't happened, especially close relationship with each other. But we were talking about coordinating in the future and share information. We still don't know why you were targeted Cammie, but hopefully, together we can get a better idea on what the villains want."

"Okay," said Cammie.

"Additionally, this means we can organise joint training exercises someday," Asmund added.

"Next time I'll beat you up one-on-one," Snotlout smirked.

"You still behave and act like a back alley thugs you hoodlum! Remember your place!"

"Yeah, you don't have to be the one to tell me that."

"Snotlout," said Hellfire as he approached his son. "You showed some excellent leadership out there."

Snotlout at the back of his head. "I get a little bit of Hiccup rubbed off on me."

"Well, I just want to let you know that I am proud of you boyo and because of that, I swear I'll become someone you can be proud of as well. Not just as the number one hero, but as your father."

"And I'll be rooting for you all the way," said Snotlout.

Gunnar then approached Hellfire. "Hellfire, just so you know I'll be rooting for you as well."

Hellfire smiled at him. "Thanks a lot."

Iceberg then looked at Ranger. "I know I haven't been there much in your life, but I was happy I was there for you today."

"Were you?" Ranger huffed. "I didn't see when the stands."

Iceberg closed his eyes. "Whatever you might think of me just now that I will always be proud of you."

Stoick just looked at them all. 'Progress is slow for Hellfire, Iceberg and all these inspiring young heroes. Sometimes they come to a standstill, sometimes they have to look behind, but one step in front of the other they keep moving forward.'

'Before we knew it, February was over, and spring was upon us as the temperature began to rise, we try to come to terms with everything we've been through. My father and Mr Eret took those of us who were involved in the Dragon Killer Raid to Sir Nighteye's funeral. It was one last chance to say goodbye to him.

'Our teachers and the hero agency talked about the work studies program, and they decided it would be best for them on hold. Nighteye sidekick Centipede and Bubble Girl took over his agency, he and Bubble Girl eagerly awaited Marcario's return to their ranks.

'As for Ariel, she regained consciousness and recovered, but she was still emotionally unstable as her power could go out of control at any time. So the hospital had to take precautions, and she couldn't have visitors. There was some progress though, the doctors discovered that the horn on her forehead seam to power her powers, as her fever went down, all began to shrink now it's little more than a bump which is a good sign.'

Hiccup and the others were currently in maths class which was being taught to by Multiple Man, and the inclusions were challenging to grasp.

"The equation isn't that difficult to solve," said Multiple Man that he will be equation on the blackboard. "Calculate the definite integral, if you have an answer read your hand."

'Multiple Man always gets hard-core with this kind of stuff,' said Ingrid chewing one of her earphone jacks.

Clueless look as if his brain was completely fried. "Start by carrying the A."

Ragnar looked at Hiccup, who was the smartest guy in the entire room. 'Even Hiccup is puzzled, and he's the smartest guy in the school.'

Fishlegs then raised his hand.

"Fishlegs," Multiple Man nodded.

"107/14," he said.

"Incorrect." Hiccup then raised his hand. "Hiccup."

"107/28," he said.

"That's right. Onto the next problem."

Soon the class came to an end, and everyone was beginning to pack up.

"I cannot understand how you can understand all this," said Astrid looking at Hiccup. "You make it look so easy."

Hiccup shrugged. "I can't explain it."

"I can he's like the seventh smartest guy on the planet," said Ragnar.

"I think it's closer to eighth actually."

"Hey, Agnar check this out," said Clueless holding out his phone. "Take a look at this."

"Is it illustrated?"

"It's suitable for children."

Ever wanted a closer look and saw that it was a posting of Mt Lady and it looked as if she had teamed up with Edgeshot and Stormcutter. "Mt Lady and Edgeshot have teamed up, and Stormcutter is going to be joining."

"Mt Lady, so big, so hot," said Agnar.

"I think they're going by Team Lurkers," said Ingrid looking at the posting. "I saw it mentioned in the news earlier."

"There are sure a bunch of heroes teaming up these days," said Clueless.

"My sexy giantess is getting famous," said Agnar.

"Given the rise in villains teaming up it only makes sense that heroes are teaming up as well," said Ragnar.

"Once where prose maybe we should do some team up too," said Ruffnut and looked at Fishlegs. "Here's an idea you can make me float, and we can make acid rain."

"Sounds intense," said Fishlegs.

"And Tuffnut could use his slime to fly me around."

"I'm down with that idea," said Tuffnut.

"Wartihog, Magnus and Ingrid will be the Scouts, and we can call ourselves Team Rainy Day."

"I think that name needs a bit more work on it," said Ingrid.

"What about us?" Agnar and Clueless asked.

"Don't need you," said Ruffnut leaving the two of them utterly crestfallen.

"You can't just look at powers when you are teaming up, you have to choose people you get along with too," said Astrid.

"I think you're making it worse," said Helga.

A few moments later, all of them were in their hero costumes and then Gym Gamma.

"All right, class today we'll continue working on your fighting techniques," said Cementoss. "You need a home your fighting skills and create special techniques until all of them are flawless."

Dogsbreath then hardened his skin. 'Just you wait Wrath I'll become a man that doesn't flinch at the sight of someone like you. I'll trade by taking continuous powerful hits like yours.'

He then turned to the members who had superstrength in their class. "Calder… Ragnar… Hiccup… Snotlout… Please use me as your own personal punching bag."

"That sounds super weird," said Calder.

"Did you really have to put it that way?" Ragnar asked.

"I'm actually doing some solo work today," said Hiccup.

"That's okay," said Dogsbreath.

Snotlout then shoved past Hiccup. "So you made any progress yet?"

"Not really," Hiccup admitted.

"I thought you were going to make your dad proud." He then approached Dogsbreath. "Dogsbreath, let's see how tough you really are."

"Bring it!" Dogsbreath yelled.

Hiccup just stood there thinking hard. 'I've come up with my own fighting technique using both my technical skills and superstrength. Problem is when I really focus, I can use 20% of my power, but it wasn't enough to beat Grimmel. I have to use my full strength without any kind of help otherwise will be able to win or save anyone.'

"Hey, watch this," said Olaf as he was leaning against solid rock. A split second later his laser went straight through the lock. "My new move just feast your eyes."

Hiccup watched as he fired his laser again, but the problem this time was that he was suffering from stomach pain from using his power to long.

"Every time you use my powers, I always end up hurting my tummy," Olaf groaned.

"I thought you were learning how to strengthen your stomach," said Hiccup as he grabbed his arm. "Mr Cementoss, Olaf isn't feeling well can I take to go rest?"

"Go ahead," said Cementoss.

Hiccup then carried him to the edge of the gym.

"You know I think our cause is somewhat alike," said Olaf.

Hiccup frowned that was an odd thing to say considering their power a completely different. "What you mean?"

"Well, I've worn this support belt ever since I was a little kid," he said, looking at his belt. "Truth is if I don't wear it then sometimes my navel laser just leaked out. I was born that way. You see my body wasn't me to handle my power, that's what the doctors said. When you first gained your superstrength, you had difficulty controlling ever since I saw that I knew we were similar. Now, this is the work-study you been even more impatient to succeed in before."

"Yeah, I guess so," Hiccup nodded.

"Afterward you've been through I can't say that I'm surprised, but there's no need to rush," said Olaf. "If you jump without thinking then you could end up making mistakes. The same goes for us, if we don't overcome what brings us pain, then we cannot shine mon amie."

Hiccup had to agree he had a point. "You know what, you're right."
