Hellfire was hovering directly in front of the Red Death that had just attacked him and Hawks. His previous attacker done major damage to it completely disintegrating its right hand and burn your patches of its skin.

"Hey, Hellfire I didn't know you could fly," said Hawks.

"I'm just not falling," he said. "Now stay alert this thing is still moving."

Sadly he was right as the Red Death was still very much alive.

"Ha, didn't think you could kill me with puny flames did you hero?" it said as its arm and skin began to regenerate.

'He's regenerating,' said Hellfire and the reports he had read about the Red Deaths. 'The red-skinned ones at Berk and New York were able to do that as well, but the other colours didn't seem to have that power. Does that mean this type of Red Death have more abilities? No, it's not just that this one is completely unlike any other, because it can talk.'

The Red Death just looked towards him with a smile. "Show me strength."

"In that case, I'll take alive for interrogation!" he said as flames generated over his hands.

He then immediately extended his fist and produced lines of flames from the tip of his fingers directly towards it. However, it was able to dodge and punched him across the face and then submit arm expanded, and he crashed into the restaurant. He found himself pinned against the window, struggling to free himself.

The Red Death then put more force into his attack and Hellfire smash through the window where other customers were eating. He didn't stop there as he kept on smashing right from the wall until he got to the other side of the building and Hellfire quickly unleashed his flames, forcing the Red Death to free him. However, there this was not enough to stop it, and its extendable arm began to surround him.

'He's already on the attack again?' said Hellfire.

The Red Death managed to encase and then swung his arm cut right across the building.

Hawks could feel the entire building vibrate. "Come on, get yourself together now. Stop him number one."

The Red Death's arm slashed right through the entire building, but Hellfire began building up his flames and managed to burn his way free. He then began spinning around like a top unable to stop and melted right through the last few support on the building. He eventually managed to control himself and was now floating in midair.

'It overcame a reverse thrust, how is this thing faster and stronger than me?' said Hellfire puzzled.

Two heroes on the ground saw the situation and were quickly rushing towards the scene.

"You've got to be kidding me, it's falling," said one of them noticing the top of the restaurant beginning to fall.

Hawks was inside lowly beginning evacuation using his feathers to fly the civilians the safety.

'Sends them fierce wings,' said Hawks as he concentrated. 'Screams… breathes… rustling clothes… every human movement. I will be able to get everyone out of the building, I don't have enough feathers. So I'll focus on those in the most danger.'

He then jumped off the toppling building and then unleashed nearly all of his feathers. He was able to control every single feather on his wing, which were tough enough to carry all the civilians in the damaged areas. He then flew them gently down towards the ground to safety, but the more feathers he lost, the hardier was for him to fly.

"76 people in the damaged section all evacuated safely," said Hawks as his feathers returned to him.

Once all his feathers returned, he then flapped his wings and then made his way over towards the Red Death, gaining its attention. Hellfire then used the opportunity to fire a burst of flame from his fingers as he did before cutting right through it and the building behind it. This time he was able to completely destroy its lower torso and both his arms, but it was still very much alive.

"Is that all you got tough guy?" Hawks asked looking at Hellfire.

"Of course not! It's time to slice and burn!" he roared.

He then started to move the lines of flames like a spiderweb and it sliced right through the top of the restaurant, cutting it into pieces along with the Red Death. Hawks then launched several of his feathers in order to catch the degree before it hit the ground, but in so doing so, he found it harder to fly.

He crashed down a nearby building began running backwards, trying to keep up with Hellfire. "I'm guessing you don't spend a whole other time in the kitchen do you Hellfire? It's bad form, your food is supposed to be chopped into uniform pieces."

"You should stop yapping and get back in the air!" Hellfire yelled back.

"Love to, but when I lose feathers in the way harder for me to fly!"

"Just deal with it!"

What remained of the Red Death's body was able to get itself to safety somehow.

"Burn," it said.

The heroes on the ground then quickly began to attack it with their powers.

"Guys, don't worry! We've got you!"

The Red Death then began dodging their attacks, but one of them did hit its mark, but it only seemed to annoy it.

"You're in the way!" it roared.

Then suddenly raining down from the sky was several Red Deaths, but these ones were completely blue.

'More of them?' Hellfire stared. 'They're not the same colour though. Were they just stored inside its body?' He then winced, he may be able to control fire, but that did not mean that he was resistant to it you were starting to overheat. 'I'm starting to overheat. Its only interest was to find the strongest then it has no reason to go for the weak. That sounds about right for the villain and in order to keep focusing on me it using pawns to keep my backup occupied. This Red Death is thinking.'

The Red Death had managed to regenerate all of its lost body parts and to make matters worse the other Red Death were going after the civilians.

"Help us!"

Hawks quickly flew down and drew out two feathers and wielded them like a pair of swords. He quickly swooped in and slashed at the Red Deaths that were going after some civilians.

"Hawks, thank you!"

Hawks wasted no time and lost more feathers give the civilians to safety. "I gotta ya! Let's get you somewhere safe. Although to be frank, I'm not great against power types. So I'm not making any guarantees."

Hellfire was still busy with the Red Death in the air.

"You ain't firing," the Red Death noted. "Why? The heat rays stopped, or are you just running out of power?"

'It's prospective too,' Hellfire grimaced. 'I'm able to generate fire and able to control, but I'm not resistant to the heat. Constantly using powerful attacks causes me to overheat, and my body starts to deteriorate. But right now not only is this monster faster and stronger than me. I have no idea what other powers it may have. Holding back could prove to be fatal.'

He then started to generate flames around him. 'Overheating has always been a problem, that's why I'm grateful my son can only create explosions.'

He then suddenly unleashed a powerful burst of flames that could be seen across the entire city.

A reporter was witnessing the battle and was reporting live on TV. "Look at that, Hellfire is still in the sky shining brightly. I can feel the heat from his attacks, he is a one-man inferno."

"Let me try out my abilities, I will attack my own strength on you!" the Red Death roared.

His arms and immediately stretched and he started a fly towards Hellfire growing notable arms as he did.

"I'll incinerate you with flame so much heat that you won't be able to regenerate fast enough!" Hellfire roared and then unleashed a powerful burst of concentrated flames directly at the Red Death.

Everyone in the street looked away as the flames were so blight, and despite the fact they were way up in the sky, you could feel the heat.

'I can't afford to look pathetic, not in this moment!' Hellfire roared.

Finally, the flame started to die down, and it did look as if Hellfire had incinerated the Red Death. However, floating close by was the creature's head, and it was still very much alive.

"Not enough," it said.

Hawks saw the Red Death was beginning to regenerate. "Watch out!"

Hellfire turned around, but it was too late to react. 'It tore off its head and threw it out of range.'

He then quickly extended arms grazing the left side of his chest and cutting right across his the left side of his face.

Everyone was watching from their TVs, and no one was more anxious than Snotlout.

Stoick felt utterly useless as he watched clenching his side. 'Spitelout.'

Hellfire was flat on the ground with blood covering the left side of his face, and standing above him was the Red Death.

"Aren't there any stronger heroes around?" it said. "Is he the best?"

"The villain that suddenly appeared is now destroying the city," said the reporter getting information from a nearby helicopter. I can't confirm this, but it looks as many bioengineered creatures known as Red Deaths are on the ground. Heroes are currently attempting to suppress them and evacuate citizens. However, Hellfire appears to have been greatly wounded this madness, I can't help but draw a conclusion to the nightmare we witnessed three months ago at Washington."

Hellfire was on the ground, but he was not out and quickly fired a burst of flames at the Red Death while's back was turned. However, it sent to the attack coming and dodged and then quickly struck him with its fist.

"Too slow," it said and then sent him flying into some nearby buildings. "You are not good enough!"

Everyone on TV could see Hellfire battered and bruised, but despite his injuries, he was still willing to fight.

"He doesn't look good," said Agnar.

Snotlout turned on him. "What you talking about? He's never been better!"

No one did question Snotlout as he was trying to convince himself more than anyone else.

"He's not going to give up," said Hiccup as they saw Hellfire spitting out a lot of blood. "He's going to take that villain down or die trying. Sometimes I wonder if he's more stubborn than my father."

The police were busy trying to evacuate as many people as possible.

"Everyone, calm down!" a policeman yelled over the frantic crowd. "No pushing! Everything is fine!"

Everyone was panicking to get away, resulting in crushing one another's they tried to push ahead.

"Humans… over there," said the Red Death turning its head towards the sounds of the crowd. It then immediately took off and landed on a building that overlooked everyone.

Upon seeing it, everyone immediately panicked and began pushing separating children from their parents.

"There's no simple," said the reporter horrified. "This is what it looks like when people have no hope."

Hiccup and the others were watching the scene on the television.

"You've got to be kidding," said Snotlout.

"Chaos, sheer panic," said Ragnar.

Eret then arrived. "Snotlout, so you know then?"

"It's bad," said Tuffnut.

"Don't just say whatever you want!" said a voice.

Everyone immediately turned and saw Hellfire's fan was yelling at the reporter while his friends were trying to hold him back.

"What you think scaring people makes for good TV?" he yelled.

"Okay, you've got to chill dude."

"Look over there! His flames are still burning, see!" The camera then turned, and sure enough, they saw Hellfire's flames in the distance. "You know what that means! Hellfire is still alive and fighting for us! Don't say there's no simple just because Skullcrusher is not here!"

"You're losing it, man, we need to run! Let's hurry and get out of here!"

"Do you know what he's doing right now? Hellfire is risking his life, our sake! Look at him!"

Sure enough, Hellfire was in the air chasing after the Red Death.

"So you regenerate too, hero," it said, looking back at him. "You are just the same as me."

'I am nothing like you,' said Hellfire. 'I can barely even move my body at this point.'

The Red Death then spun around and transformed its arms into tentacles and began sending them directly towards him. Hellfire was unable to dodge all of them, so he took them head-on making slight adjustments to avoid some of them.

'I'm preparing my body forward the sheer force of my power,' he said in one of the tentacles stabbed him in the shoulder. 'I'm thankful for the pain, it's keeping me conscious. I won't let this end here, I have to keep my eye fixed upon the slim chance of victory. Keep turning the heat up… more… even hotter! You showed your hand earlier, your head is what I need to destroy the end you. So much for taking you in alive.'

He then began to increase his speed and began chasing down the Red Death. 'Got to go faster, can't give it time to react! I will go beyond my capabilities I won't stop fighting until I turn this ugly bastard into ash.'

Hawks then suddenly appeared directly behind the Red Death holding his feather sword. "That's it, Hellfire. You got this!"

The Red Death then quickly spun around and struck him with his tentacle-like arms. Hawks began to back away in the tentacles followed him, but as they did, he began losing a few of his feathers.

'My feathers can't do much against this thing's destructive power, but I can match it in speed,' said Hawks and looked at Hellfire who was speeding towards the Red Death now that it's back was turned. 'You know, I was watching you, so I understand. There wasn't a single other person that seriously attempted to surpass him, you were the only one you never stopped trying to take his spot. Honestly, you made a pretty damn awkward sometimes.'

Then one of the tentacles grazed against his visor shattering it, but Hawks attention was to his feathers. 'I sent a few of my feathers your way earlier.' The feathers then immediately flew towards Hellfire attached to his back. 'Let me help you, I can add my speed to your firepower. With that, you have one final push. This is it!'

The feathers then moulded themselves into a pair of wings giving Hellfire an extra burst of speed. 'I want to become stronger than anyone.'

'My wings aren't strong enough, it's got to be you,' said Hawks. 'End this!'

Hellfire fist was now covered in flames, and he slammed it as hard as he could into the Red Death's face.

'It acting like some kind of wild animal now,' said Hellfire noting that it was no longer talking.

The Red Death looked even more ferocious and managed to push Hellfire back despite the added boost of speed he received from Hawks.

"Seriously?" said Hawks as he swooped in to assist.

However, the Red Death gaining incredible speed and began pushing Hellfire back even though his burning fist was wedged in it.

'Even though it's burning from the inside regeneration is still keeping up,' said Hellfire.

Hawks have so few wings it was no longer able to fly and was only narrowly able to land on a nearby rooftop. He then turned towards Hellfire, who was losing power and his feathers were slowly burning away due to his flames. 'He doesn't have enough firepower. Not good. I've already said most of my feathers, and they're about to be incinerated.'

"Hawks, now!" Hellfire roared at the top of his voice.

Hawks noticed that he was positioning himself upwards.

Hellfire glared down on the Red Death. "Red Death, listen to me. You were created to have multiple powers, a bioengineered freak obsessed with strength." Hellfire then richly went supernova, and a massive shockwave struck across the entire city.

"It's Hellfire," said the reporter. "He's still going, even after he suffers and struggles. He's fighting."

"Hellfire is risking his life for our sakes!" said the fan. "Look at him!"

Everyone was racially on the edge of their seats, just like they were with Skullcrusher.

Hawks was able to mould the remainder of his feathers into a pair of wings which began flapping.

"Sorry, but my feathers are toast!" Hawks yelled. "I can't help you much from here on out!"

'This is enough,' said Hellfire as he carried the Red Death higher into the sky. 'Take me higher! Higher! Into the sky where I won't worry about collateral damage!'

"I get it," said Hawks. "Way up there, you don't have to hold anything back."

Hellfire was getting as far as he possibly could. "Villain, I see it. You are me from the past or another future. Burn up, be rest."

Hellfire then the least all the remaining power he had into one single attack which transformed a massive pillar of fire that erupted skywards. Everyone was just watching at this insane amount of power being unleashed.

Then they saw falling towards the ground, it was Hellfire and the Red Death's scorched remains. Both of them crashed into the ground creating a shockwave that sent several cars flying. Everyone feared the worst as even if Hellfire survived that previous attack, he had just fallen several thousand feet into the ground.

Then when the flames finally parted, they saw standing there with his fist in the air was Hellfire.

"Hellfire is still standing!" the reporter yelled relieved. "He did it! He's on his feet with his fist raised high! A sign of victory, no symbol of a new beginning!"

Snotlout was utterly relieved as he slumped onto the couch.

Hiccup just looked at Hellfire.

'Even though my father had effectively retired, heroes cannot stop moving forward. We must keep fighting, we are the ones that must carry his symbol now and we will.'
