Fair enough everyone. As for the chapter, the updated opening was great and it gives me a lot of confidence in what's coming. It's a good thing Declan decided to not take over You Show, though Dan's a far way from beating him... a long term goal I guess? Either was things are going to be interesting moving forward, awesome chapter looking forward to the update.

Dan: Since Ascension's now in the process of getting updated, I think it's possible.
Well now this fic has now hit 180,000 views, and is now close to surpassing me, and Ulrich's most popular fic if the favs, and follows aren't enough, Daughter of Zarc of Ray, and sorry for not updating for a while, but I will try my best to do more here, I promise. Now here we get to Dan against Sora in this rewrite of the Fusion Duel here.
Summary: After Dan's defeat against Declan he had been treated back to health by Yuya, and his mother Yoko Sakaki who thanked him for trying to save You Show before Declan revealed they know enough about Pendulum creating it themselves. After being back to You Show, Dan explains his story to the students, and mentions he also Xyz Summons, and Fusion Summons with two different Decks. Interested by this, Sora challenges Dan to a Duel to use Fusion Summoning to test his skills thinking he's a part of Duel Academy. Now it's Red-Eyes against Sora's Frightfur monsters on the clock!

A few hours later...
Dan was laying at a couch with a soft blanket over him, and a small wet rag on his forehead before slowly opening his eyes stirring awake where he heard Yuya's voice, "Mom, he's waking up."
Dan slowly sat up which had the rag drop down to his lap yawning, "Ah... What happened last night...?"
Feeling a hand pat his back he looked over to see a blonde haired woman having green eyes, and having on a beige shirt, and black jeans was looking over him with a concerned expression while holding a cup of Orange Juice with ice, "Are you feeling okay?"
"Y-Yeah." he nodded as he said that. The woman offered him the orange juice which he accepted taking a couple sips handing it back to her as she takes it back with a smile before he asked rubbing his left eye, "So... What happened back there?"
Yuya who was sitting on a chair backwards to keep an eye on him explained, "You passed out after your duel with Declan." He then asked him, "Do you remember what happened?"
Hearing that Dan gave some thought cupping his chin before he slowly nodded, "Yeah, I do remember..." He remembers from the Action Duel, Declan Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summoning along with Pendulum Summoning, and then had completely avoided all of Dan's strategies along with gaining very high LP, and taking over 4000 points of damage at a single turn but it was nothing compared to Declan's managing to use that to his advantage against Dan's dragons. But he's glad that You Show won't be taken by LID now. What does bother him however is that he had lost. Now he's a good lad not being bothered by losing since he believes in having fun but in a duel like that he couldn't help but feel he let You Show down.
Seeing the expression on his face Yuya asked, "Dan? Is this about your loss?" Dan flinched hearing that knowing he's caught but nodded. Yuya only smiled to his noticing waving his hand, "Don't worry bout that... You had helped saved the school, and that's all that matters. Gong was a bit upset by his loss to but he didn't let that bother him after Declan said the Leo Institute won't take You Show." Dan only turned to him which Yuya explained, "Hey all that matters is having a fun time isn't it?"
Dan couldn't help but smile a little agreeing with that detail. He did had fun in his match with Declan with him being such a powerful opponent, and a great start for his duel in this world but wished he didn't lose his first duel... But oh well having fun is what mattered though ain't it? Of course otherside that he doesn't know why exactly the Leo Institute was buying You Show. But it might be because that they want You Show off the Dueling School Branch so they can be the most running Dueling School in the world, or perhaps You Show done something to anger LID to take the School away from them. But was it because that Yuya defeated Sylvio when the latter stole Yuya's Pendulum Cards? Or was it when Sora chose to attend You Show instead when Yuya, Pendulum Summoned against Sylvio?
"Well if your alright with it, can me, and my friends ask you several things?"
Hearing that from Yuya, Dan gave it some thought. It would be understandable they want to ask him how he knows to Synchro Summon, and other things but wasn't sure how they'll take the truth. So he decides to answer what questions they want answered so he nodded, "I wouldn't mind."
Yuya walked to the door opening it to tell everyone out the room, "Guys he's awake. He's ready to answer."
Skip, Tate, Allie, Frederick, Gong, Sora, and Zuzu walked in the room being sure not to crowd the room while Yoko sat at a chair allowing them to talk to him which Dan smiled sitting up staring at them before Skip got up into his face in a excited move which made Dan sweatdrop while the man cried, "You were seriously amazing against Declan! How did you know all those moves!?"

Zuzu smacked Skip with her fan as Dan winced while she scolded, "Dad seriously give him some space!" She sighed before turning to Dan, "Sorry about Dad. He's just like that." She gave a stern look to her father who had anime tears running down his eyes while rubbing his head with a pout.
"Ah it's no sweat. I don't mind that all really." Dan smiled assuringly which caught everyone off-guard, "Besides it's just who he is, so why stop that?"
This does give some smiles to everyone while Zuzu rolled her eyes with a small smile while Skip grinned bright before Sora bit into a Chocolate Bar asking, "Are you feeling alright little buddy?" Dan nodded hearing that which has Sora add, "Well good, cause we were worried for ya when you passed out like that. We thought you felt sick or something."
Taking a few steps forward Tate smiled to him, "That was one amazing duel you pulled off."
"Gong was super impressed with your skills, and wants to learn how you managed to do them." said man agreed nodding with a soft grin.
"Well you really did gave me the Shivers with those moves!" Frederick called with a excited smile which made Dan sweatdrop on what he meant by 'shivers' while Allie smiled, "You were so cool to duel Declan like that! We want to know how you done those!"
"So Dan..." said boy looked to Yuya who had his arms crossed asking him, "Where did you learn such a Synchro Summoning move?"
Knowing that question was gonna come sooner or later Dan admitted, "Well... Where I'm from we Synchro Summon a lot," that made a narrow of eyes from Sora be made before Dan continued, "and we also done more then Synchro. We also done Fusion, Xyz, and Ritual also."
"Fusion, Xyz, and Ritual?" Sora asked surprised not expecting the boy before him to do all the Extra Deck methods, and more then that.
The pink haired girl lifted up a finger to remind the young man, "But you only done Synchro in that match."
"Oh that was one of my Decks, and that was Synchro based. I have two other Decks both Fusion, and Xyz based." Dan takes out his two Decks to show them which Zuzu takes while Yuya takes the other.
Zuzu was checking over the Fusion Deck while Yuya checked over the Xyz Deck both seeing their Decks that are Dragon based, and are also balanced well with several Fusion Monsters while there are a few Xyz in Yuya's case with uses of Normal Monsters, and Gemini as well.
"Whoa... This is quite a bit of Fusion Monsters." Zuzu remarked amazed seeing the Deck before her, "About 6?"
"And three Xyz?" Yuya asked a bit surprised.
"Well..." Dan rubbed his head admitting, "I don't really use my Xyz Deck, the Hieratics that much... It is fun to use but I don't really have that much interest in using it."
"Wowie." Allie gushed seeing over the Deck. Seeing most of his Fusion Deck are dragon cards Zuzu turned asking Sora, "Sora you said where your from is where you Fusion Summon a lot right?"
"Yeah." Sora nodded hearing that before Zuzu handed him the Deck for him to see. Looking over the Fusion Deck as he makes surprised, and sometimes stunned looks seeing what they are. It is a Deck of the Red-Eyes cards, that is gifted in Fusion Summoning.
Yuya soon made a surprised look seeing a different card. "What the... Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon?"
"Yeah. That is one of my favorite cards." was Dan's reply admitting, "It's a strong card that's useful against Xyz Monsters, and can help since it Tributes monsters for it's summoning which fits the Hieratic Deck."
"Which one of these Decks do you find most suitable?" Zuzu asked him.
"My Red-Eyes Deck. It was the first Deck, I made, and I continue to improve it to this day since I loved using Red-Eyes. And not only that Fusion Summoning is a easy summon method to use."
"Yet you acted well with your Synchro Deck."
Dan explained to Gong, "I had it since I was 8, that time when Synchro became a thing. I really like the dragons from that Deck."
"Your really love dragons like Yuya?"
"Like Yuya?" Dan blinked.
Yuya shows Dan a card called Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon which he recognized it from seeing Yuya in action against the Sledgehammer, Zuzu, Sylvio, and Sora. "Whoa... He looks cool." That made Yuya grinned hearing Dan say that before the boy looked confused seeing it's effect, "Huh? Any monster it battles? Isn't it to when it battles a Level 5 or higher monster?"
"What? No." Yuya answered confused.
Dan looked confused at this giving this some thought. He was sure Odd-Eyes does have that effect in this anime cause Yuya would often say, "since Odd-Eyes is attacking your monster that's level 5 or higher you take double the damage!" but now that doesn't apply here? Then again all the cards he had used are all TCG versions, and from seeing some of Declan's cards they are also TCG since he seen in a clip that Declan's cards had different ways their effects are used. Which would mean the cards he'll see for now on here are TCG versions of their original counterparts. It is good since it would mean nothing seriously overpowered like a CXyz Barian Hope that can use 7 different effects at the same time (6 since in the anime since he seen Shark hadn't use Silent Honor DARK's effect to make Barian Hope stronger by taking Utopia as it's Chaos Overlay Unit for some reason), or something like Meklord Astro Mekanikle to use it's effect to gain additional effects on top of being a hard hitting attacker.
"Hey little buddy?"
Hearing that they turned over to Sora who looked over to Dan grinning before suggesting, "This is a pretty nice Deck. If you don't mind I would like to duel you with you using this."
"Sora?" Zuzu asked surprised hearing that Sora is challenging him.
"This is just something I have to make sure of Zuzu. It shouldn't be anything serious."
While surprised Sora is challenging him he grinned before standing up nodding, "Alright, Sora, I'll take your challenge!"
Sora nodded with a grin while thinking. 'Just to make sure if he's from Duel Academy or not. Because if he is then I wonder just why exactly he's here.'
A hour later afterward, the group all arrived back at You Show for Dan, and Sora's duel. Dan after placing his Red-Eyes Deck in his Duel Disk who wonders what will happen here. After Declan managed to get the best of him he knows he has to be more careful when he's dueling, and now will make sure he does his absolute best when dueling for now on not giving his opponent any quarter.
"Oh and Dan?" he looked to his opponent who readies his Deck, and gives a wink, and a smile, "Let's have a regular Duel okay?"
Dan nodded agreeing with a smile as they prepared themselves.
"DUEL!"

"Okay here goes!" Dan called looking at his hand seeing he has Black Dragon's Chick, Return of the Red-Eyes, Dragon Shrine, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and Polymerization in his hand. Already forming a strategy in his hand he nodded before calling, "First, I set 1 card!" He sets a card before taking a spell, "Then I'll activate Dragon Shrine!"
The spell shows several skeleton ribcages of dragons over a field that has stones that act like walls around them.

Send 1 Dragon monster from your Deck to the GY, then, if that monster in your GY is a Dragon Normal Monster, you can send 1 more Dragon monster from your Deck to the GY. You can only activate 1 "Dragon Shrine" per turn.
"This card allows me to take a Dragon from my Deck, and place it in the graveyard. Then if the card, I sent was a Normal Monster, I can send one more Dragon."
Dan takes his Deck out of his Duel Disk looking over his Deck before finding the appropriate Dragon showing it, "I send Red-Eyes Black Dragon from my Deck with Dragon Shrine's effect!" He placed the card in his graveyard before checking his Deck again adding, "Then with Dragon Shrine's other effect," he takes a second card showing it, I send Red-Eyes Wyvern from my Deck to the graveyard." He sent the card before shuffling his Deck placing it back.
"Red-Eyes?" Zuzu was puzzled on the Deck, Dan's using right now where since like his Resonator/Red Dragon Archfiend Deck this Red-Eyes Deck is also unheard of to her.
Sora does provide an explanation to her confusion answering what the Deck's about. "Red-Eyes is a Deck that uses Dragon, and Fiend monsters resolving on the graveyard. What makes it ionic is the Red-Eyes Black Dragon which is a legend to Fusion Duelists, and it's the ability to Fusion Summon can be done with quick ease. And the fact it can deal loads of damage."
When he has done sending the card Dan looked over his hand before calling, "And now I'll be summoning this guy! Black Dragon's Chick!"
From that what rose from the ground was a red jeweled egg before it broke apart showing a small dragon like a baby that has black scales, and red eyes. The baby dragon also has small black horns with small talons, and wings screeching a cute roar.

Dan only grinned saying, "Well kids grow up so fast, so I use my Dragon's ability!" The Chick screeched glowing bright before Dan takes a card revealing it to be the Red-Eyes B. Dragon in his hand, "It allows me to summon his adult form! The Red-Eyes Black Dragon!"
The light morphed the chick into a new dragon roaring loud. This new dragon is a larger version of Chick having longer horns, and large red eyes with long teeth. He also has larger talons, and a longer tail.

Dan looked over his hand thinking, 'I can't use Polymerization to Fusion Summon anything yet... After all, I don't know what his Deck is, so I don't know what cards he has that can stop me... Well now, I got a plan in action.' Taking Return of the Red-Eyes he sets it, "I place 1 card down, and end my turn. Your move Sora."

"Okay not bad little buddy." Sora grinned drawing as he looked seeing his drawn card is a purple scythe monster, "Okay here you will see what I can do..." Taking another card in his hand he called, "Alright first I'll be activating the Spell, Instant Fusion!"
The spell shows what looks like a beige ramen cup with a Synchro Fusionist on it with the word Fusion, and a white price tag saying 1000 on it.

"With this spell I can summon a Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck who's level is 5 or lower, and it is treated as a Fusion Summon. That monster can't attack, and must be destroyed at the end of the turn." Taking a card from his Extra Deck he shows it, "That means, I summon Frightfur Sheep!" (Sora: 3000/Hand: 5)
What rose on up behind Sora was yellow darkened doll in the shape of a sheep. It has green doll eyes, and sharp teeth. It also has several gold saw blades on it's feet, and a scythe blade on it's front right foot along with a drill at the tail. It also has a chain around it's body several times and a white fluff with a pink heart on the top of it's head.

The card shows a Continuous Spell of a Gumball Machine that has a top hat, a arm that has a Mickey Mouse like glove (it was a white glove), and a King like Scepter before a similar one appeared behind Sora.

What rose in front of him is a small blue mouse that holds a small brown doughnut that has what looks like chocolate frosting on it with sprinkles with one that has a star on it with black eyes, and white wings on it raising up chittering.

"And of course my mouse has his own little effect! Once on the field, I get to summon 2 or 1 more copy of Mouse." Sora grinned as his deck ejected a card allowing him to take it, and shows it being a second Mouse which was summoned.

"A Fusion Monster, and two monsters summoned in Quick Succession..." Dan trailed off seeing this wondering what Sora's up two.
"Well don't relax cause I ain't done! Cause next, I activate Polymerization!" Sora called showing a spell that has a vortex with two Synchro Fusionists on it.

"So now I'll be fusing Edge Imp Sabres with the two Fluffal Mouse on my field!" Sora grinned as a pair of six demonic scissors that has black handles, and silver blades with red eyes in the handles rose up with the two mice fusing together.
Sora spread his arms out as the Vortex intestified behind him.
"Demonic claws, sharp fangs! Become one in the mystic vortex and show us a new form and power! Fusion summon! Show yourself! Mystical jungle beast that rips everything to shreds! Frightfur Tiger!"
The Tiger landed behind him growling. Frightfur Tiger looked like a large torn up stuffed blue tiger with green eyes that was stabbed with two broken halves of a pair of scissors, had demonic red eyes in its mouth, stuffing exposed, and a large pair of scissors going through it's stomach where it was almost completely torn in half with only a few threads keeping the upper and lower halves together.

"Sora's monsters are always so scary!" Allie shuddered a bit from fright as Zuzu hugged her.
"And when Fusion Summoned, I get to destroy a number of your cards equal to the monsters, I used to summon him!" Dan looked shocked as Sora grinned pointing, "So sayonara Red-Eyes!"
Tiger charged an attack before Dan called, "Well here's this! I activate my face-down, Return of the Red-Eyes!"

His dragon rose up roaring loud.

That was before Tiger destroyed both the one beside it, and Return of the Red-Eyes as Dan grunted before shooting his arm forward calling, "Well that ain't all! As you destroyed, Return, I can use it's other effect to summon a Red-Eyes from the graveyard! Which means the Red-Eyes you just destroyed is coming back!"
The mentioned dragon rose right on up roaring.
Red-Eyes Black Dragon: (Attack Position)
"Huh, not bad little buddy." Sora smiled nodding seeing the two strong dragons on Dan's field. He then gestured to Tiger, "Well since Tiger's on the field, all my Frightfurs gains 300 points for every other Frightfur or Fluffal on my field."
Frightfur Tiger: (ATK: 1900 + (300 * 2) = 2500)
Frightfur Sheep: (ATK: 2000 + (300 * 2) = 2600)
He then placed a card down calling, "And now Tiger attack Red-Eyes!" Tiger charged in as the dragon charged a blast firing but Tiger deflected it tackling Red-Eyes destroying it which made Dan grunt. (Dan: 3900/Hand: 1)
Tiger landed back behind Sora as Allie cried, "Sora's real strong!"
"Well now, I think Dan's done testing the waters." Yuya said turning to the boy with Sora.
"Due to the effect of Instant Fusion, Sheep is destroyed." Sora admitted as Sheep shattered while Tiger glowed down.

'Man Sora sure is a powerful guy here... This will be good.' Dan grinned thinking that which Sora noticed the grin before Dan called drawing, "Okay, I draw!" He looked at his drawn card which was Flash Fusion before calling, "Alright not exactly what I wanted but it'll work." He then called pointing at Tiger, "Alright, Red-Eyes attack-!"
"Hold up, little buddy but I activate my face-down, Designer Frightfur!" Sora cut Dan off before he can attack. Showing his face-down to be a Trap showing several Fightfurs, and Fluffals getting stitched together in a abyss.

Sora nodded to confirm that with a grin, "Well not just that! Since I summoned Octopus her Special Ability lets me take a Fluffal, or Edge Imp from my graveyard to my hand." He shows Fluffal Mouse adding it before calling, "And I can still do more! During your Main Phase, I can activate this card's ability in my hand." He shows the Scythe Monster he drawn during his turn. "So now Edge Imp Scythe's special ability allows me to Fusion Summon during your turn!"
"A Fusion Summon during my own turn?" Dan asked surprised which also caught You Show off-guard.
Sora grinned raising the card up, "Yup so now, I fuse Scythe in my hand with Mouse, and Octopus!"
The three bladed Scythe fiend rose up with Octopus, and Mouse fusing together while Dan watches in awe.
"Demonic scythe. Become one with the devil apostle, and sharp fangs to present us your all new powerful state! Fusion Summon! Come out! Demonic plaything that turns fun to nightmares! Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary!"
What rose up behind Sora, and beside Tiger was a demonic girl doll. She has long beige hair to her waist wearing a long white dress which is opened showing a black void that's lighter where her darker doll head is that has her lips stitched together, and yellow eyes. She also has a pink ribbon on the top of her head as well.

"Honestly... A bit pumped up to face someone like her." Dan grinned to Sora.
Sora merely blinked, 'All of Duel Academy feels a bit afraid with Nightmary but he isn't showing any signs of fear... That must mean he isn't from Duel Academy then... Ah well, guess I should continue like normal.' Having his usual grin he said, "Well if that didn't scare ya then this well! Thanks to Tiger's ability he gains 300 while Nightmary gets 600 herself!"

"Well, I can't attack since his monsters are stronger now... But I still got a trump card." Dan said to himself before placing down a card, "During this End Phase, I can banish Red-Eyes Wyvern in order to summon back Red-Eyes again!"

Sora drew looking to see what he drawn was a pair of blue angel wings before calling, "And now prepare yourself cause now since it's my turn, Nightmary gains 300 points for every Fairy, and Fiend monster in my graveyard!"
"Huh?"
The Fairies, and Fiends in his graveyard all flew entering Nightmary's void body powering her up.

"4400..." Dan trailed off in awe.
Sora soon grinned, "I'm not done yet Little Buddy cause, once again, I discard a card to draw, and if that card is a Fluffal, I can summon it!" He discarded before saying excitedly, "I can't wait to see what it's gonna be." He drew looking before showing it's fiendish chain monster, "No luck this time cause it's a Edge Imp." He discarded it before calling, "No worries though, I can still benefit cause I activate Edge Imp Chain's effect from my graveyard!"
"What now?" Gong asked surprised Sora's able to still benefit.
"So now, since I sent Edge Imp Chain to the graveyard from my Deck," Sora takes his Deck out finding the card he wants, "I get to take a Frightfur from my Deck to my hand." He shuffled his Deck placing it back. Then he called, "Of course, I still have a few more moves to make. First off I banish Fluffal Wings, and Octopus to draw a card!" He drew as he pockets the two Fluffals, "And then by sending Toy Vendor to the graveyard, I draw 1 more!" He drew again as his spell vanished. But with the loss of those two Fluffals, Nightmary's power decreases which wasn't that much of an issue so her powers stays at 4400.
"Then since Toy Vendor was sent, I take Fluffal Owl to my hand." Sora added the card showing it before calling, "Then, I use Frightfur Reborn!"

Nightmary charged a necro attack which Dan called, "Not so fast Sora! I activate the spell, Flash Fusion!"

"Two ferocious dragons! Combine together to create a behemoth worthy of it's Guardianhood! Fusion Summon! Appear Level 9! First of the Dragons!"
What emerged from the Fusion Vortex was a long purple serpent dragon with horns all around his body, and red eyes roaring loudly.

Sora blinked seeing it before shrugging, "Alright, Nightmary attack it instead!" Nightmary charged her attack striking Dan's dragon as Sora grinned but it was gone when he sees the dragon survived, "Huh how did your dragon survive?"
Dan grinned answering, "It's cause of it's ability. You can only destroy him with a Normal Monster."
"Oh, and don't have any..." Sora trailed off hearing that before shrugging setting a card, "Ah well, I end my turn!"
"During this End Phase, Flash Fusion destroys First of the Dragons." Dan added as his dragon glowed before exploding leaving his field empty.
Sora only nodded, "I'm well aware what the card does."

Dan then called, "Okay, I draw!" He looked to see he drawn a Legendary Spell card, Pot of Greed. He does know of the Ban Lists type of deal but he is someone who is skeptical over why Pot of Greed was banned since all it does was drawing 2 cards. Sure it is a free drawer but it still doesn't make much since why it's considered to powerful. That is why he aims to prove Pot of Greed isn't really all that powerful starting with this duel. "Okay, I activate the spell card, Pot of Greed!"
What rose behind him was a green pot with blue fancy design that has a wide grin that has 20 teeth.

Sora eyes widen at this before Red-Eyes flew up with a demonic entity that has bones around him like armor, and large black wings with horns on his skull covering his flesh body flying up entering the Fusion Vortex.
"Dragon with Gleaming Red Eyes! Join together with the fiend to protect the other worlds! Fusion Summon! Level 9, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon!"
What rose out of the portal was a new dragon. It is shaped like Summoned Skull's bone armor with it's flesh but it's bones are silver colored with four large silver claw like talons, and huge fiendish wings. It also has black armor like scales on it's body with armor placed on it's knees, elbows, and shoulders with flames roaming around his shoulders. It also has a long spiky black tail with red eyes with it's head shaped like a experienced dragon fighter that has armor all on it's head, and a silver jaw roaring.

"Now it's gonna enough points for any Frightfur but Sabre-Tooth." Yuya pointed out pointing at Frightfur Sabre-Tooth that has 4000 attack points, the only monster Sora has, that Archfiend Black Skull Dragon can't defeat, "He can get rid of Frightfur Tiger to get rid of the power boost Sheep, Nightmary, and Sabre-Tooth have."
"It can make Sora's monsters weaker but when it's Sora's turn again, Nightmary will get stronger then his dragon." Gong reminded them, "Even with the boost gone it still has over 4800 attack points which is more then enough to destroy the dragon, and Little D doesn't have any set cards, or a card in his hand anymore."
"But... Dan looks like he has a plan." Allie said as they looked seeing Dan grinning. Sora grinned looking at his facedown, 'It's obvious he will try to attack for getting rid of Tiger's boost... But my face-down, Frightfur Defender will prevent Tiger from being destroyed, and allow it to gain 800 points. You did good little buddy but not enough.' The boy in front of him stared at Sora with unnerved confidence asking, "You ready Sora?"
Looking aback Sora said trying to shake him his sudden unease, "Uh, bring it I'm ready!"
"Alright then! Archfiend Black Skull Dragon attack Dangerous Frightfur Nightmary with Molten Dark Flare!" Dan called as his dragon charged a blast with the flames from his shoulders. Taking the moment Sora pressed a button on his Duel Disk but before he can say anything he heard the 'error' sound looking in shock to see his face-down can't be activated, "Hey, why isn't my face-down going off!?"
Dan grinned, "It's cause you can't use it." Sora looked to him in shock before Dan explained, "Whenever Archfiend Black Skull Dragon attacks, you can't use anything!"
"So, my Frightfur Defender can't do anything!?" Sora asked in shock.
As he asked that the dragon struck Nightmary while it fought against the flames while Sora braced against the flames. (Sora: 2300/Hand: 0)
"If his dragon had that effect... Then if it's involved in Action Duels then Action Cards will also be useless against it!" Yuya realized in shock.
Sora grinned as the smoke cleared showing Nightmary's still on the field, "Sorry... But by banishing Scythe from my graveyard your attack didn't destroy Nightmary."
"Which means this is as far Dan can go. He can't get rid of Tiger's power boost, and Nightmary will be strong enough to finish the duel..." Zuzu trailed off hearing that.
"Your monster being destroyed isn't what I was going for." Sora raised an eyebrow surprised while Dan grinned, "I knew you had cards to pay Life Points, and I had the perfect monster ready to use that to my advantage." Sora widening his eyes looked up at the Dragon where Dan revealed, "Since Archfiend Black Skull Dragon had attacked, and damage calculation was done I shuffle a Normal Red-Eyes back to my Deck to give you damage equal to that monster's points!"
"It does what!?" Sora asked in shock.
They all watched in shock as Archfiend Black Skull Dragon charged a huge blast in it's mouth firing it at Sora blasting him as he cried out landing on the floor defeated.

Dan walked to Sora smiling offering a hand which Sora stared, and grinned taking it as he helped him up saying, "Thanks for a great time Sora."
"You too little buddy." Sora smiled before thinking to himself, 'Okay he isn't a member of Duel Academy. But where did he learned how to Fusion Summon like that?'
"You two did amazing like that." Yuya smiled to them as they smiled back to him, "I'm sure we're all gonna have great times together ahead."
"No question." Zuzu agreed nodding before saying to Dan, "You really are quite resilient Dan... Your tough."
Dan only chuckled at this before they all walked out before he looked up at the kinda night sky thinking, 'I didn't Fusion Summon as much as I do normally there... Maybe, I should look on how to improve them better?'
And there we have the updated chapter 2 of this updated fic. Sora, and Dan went at each other again, and now this time Dan won against Sora from knowing his LP paying using that against him with effect damage.
