First things first that makes sense Dan if you do get a new deck I'm interested in seeing what it will be. I know a certain Pendulum Dragon deck but I have my doubts you'll go with that one and as for Ritual who knows? As for this rewritten chapter, Dan seems to be fitting in at You Show just as much as last time, though with the TCG effects things will be a lot different than he expects. His match with Sora was a good example of that, his Red-Eyes had a fantastic debut though I have a sneaking suspicion Sora will be keeping a close eye on him from now on. Oh, and in regards to Pot of Greed being banned... think about it like this, if a single card can turn an entire duel around the ability to draw two for no cost could be incredibly powerful. Plus it might be boring if everyone played Pot of Greed right? Awesome chapter, looking forward to the update.

Asuming she remembers what happened to her during the Battle Royale, do you think your ace will be able to hold him at bay? I'm pretty sure if you use that card you can at least fend "him" off in a duel?
Zuzu: If you mean Bloom Diva well as long as Starving Venom doesn't swipe her effects before hand. I mean there's Starving Venemy that's getting printed as a real card, and if it's the same as it's manga counterpart then it'll not keep him at bay for long.

Okay as you all seen Dan has been different then before. He still has his style of Fusion just in a more versitile manner, and from there managed to best Sora which is something the original haven't done. And now that Tony said it, it really has been nearly three years since I first started this fanfic here. Damn, time flows either slowly, or fast to where sometime's you really can't keep track, I mean I started this fic when I was about to get into Junior Year at High School, and I never exploited further until it becomes the year old anniversary. Well now there's still time to make things right with this here. We got Yuto here to worry bout, so what kind of evolution does Dan here against him now?

Summary: Having defeated Sora, Dan now delves in thought why he's here in the Universe of Yu-Gi-Oh. Deciding to take a walk to clear his mind he had some thoughts about his home thinking about how he was founded in Foster Care, and what his life has lead too this point. While on his walk he was intercepted by a masked boy who questioned him if he knows Duel Academy. Having been answered no, he challenges Dan to a duel which Dan had agreed. Well now we are here for a Night Duel of the Ghosts!

Dan after talking with Yoko, and Yuya about that he doesn't have a home now was in his new room which is the guest room in the Sakaki Household. He tried refusing the other since he feels he would be a bother to them but takes it anyway. He was still getting use to this new world wondering how exactly he got here knowing he is changing the history of the installment he's in but he doesn't know what he should do. Though he does know that bad things will happen soon but doesn't get what bad things will happen which maybe one of the following: Either a new duelist appearing, and causing harm. Or perhaps something like the Three Pure Nobles will appear based on Declan's attitude during his Duel with him.
Well now it is night at Paradise City where he figures to relax for a bit, and follow along in what the story here in this city is about before advancing forward maybe to tell them about where he really came from. If he tells them now, he thinks they won't see him as a friend anymore. People's opinions of one another change after all due to events of either words, or seeing it with your own eyes. For now though he doesn't have to worry about that, now focusing on getting time to know Yuya, Zuzu, and everyone else. That's what he's thinking while looking at the sky. For a split second in the sky he thought he saw a transparent gray haired teenage boy with yellow highlights surprising him before rubbing his eyes thinking he was just seeing things.
"Dan? Is everything okay?"
Looking over at the doorway he sees Yuya was there looking concerned seeing him rubbing his eyes thinking he's feeling sad about something. Giving him a small smile Dan told him, "Oh I'm fine... I thought I saw someone." He looked back out the window not seeing the teenage boy again
"Well okay." Yuya nodded reluctantly not entirely convinced before shrugging smiling to Dan, "Well dinner's ready if your ready."
Dan nodded to him with his soft smile before Yuya walked back to his mother. Now back to himself again before joining Yuya, and Yoko for dinner Dan looked back outside as seeing the starry night sky. This is also one of his favorite hobbies to which in one of his favorite movies "The Lion King" the main character's father Mufasa have told his son that all the stars were the Great Kings of the Past looked down on everyone from those stars, and whenever you feel alone is remember that those Kings will always be there to guide you wherever you are, and so will everyone else to which in truth he knows that everyone who passes away will always be with you where they go up to Heaven looking down on you from the stars. That was a lesson he'll never forget. But what he wants to know is that his parents might be two of those stars helping him out.

Dan decides to head downstairs to join Yoko, and Yuya for dinner wondering what their gonna have only to smell something buttery, and a bit sweet. Curiousity filled his mind as he walks in into the kitchen where he sees that Yoko is making pancakes. A bit surprised at seeing a Breakfast Item being dinner Dan asked, "Pancakes?"
"Yeah. Mom makes the best kind of pancakes you can ask for." grinned the crimson, and green haired boy as Dan sat down. Looking over her shoulder Yoko asked him, "You don't mind that do you?"
Shaking his head with a smile he answered, "No I'm fine. It's just I never actually had pancakes like this."
"Well your in for a treat." Yuya said as his mother places them on the table.
While Yoko served everyone Dan felt something brushing his hand. Looking confused he turned downward to see a brown, and white dog brushing his hand. Dan chuckled which made Yuya confused looking over before smiling, "Oh that's En. Mom wants to take in any stray on the streets."
"I love animals too. During my time back home I help my neighbors with things, and even their pets." Dan admitted to him remembering the things he done in the past before smiling, "That also includes petsitting."
"Well I might have to ask you to take care of them sometimes while I'm gone." Yoko said with a soft smile hearing that.
Dan smiled at the thought of taking care of a lot of animals here while he petted En's ears. En barked softly at the petting before licking his hand making the little boy giggle at the licking.
Right after Dinner Dan decided to take a little walk outside after making sure Yuya, and Yoko knows about it. Now that he has a chance to look around more around Parasite City he grew amazed at how pretty the city looks at night on the night streets of the city. Now that he has a moment to himself like this, he begins to think about the situation he's in right now. From what he knows he just showed up suddenly after one of his cards glowed. He wasn't sure what card it was that glowed but knows it must be important... He remembers what had happened that day.
Flashback...
Dan before he was sent was in his room foster care had given him wiping his forehead sighing in front of his laptop, "Whew! Man, that was a tough match there... Had to give the Buster Bladers credit from there." He stretched himself from such a close match before smiling, "Still, helps me be more careful against Duelists who benefit from their opponent using dragons."
He soon pulled up an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V watching it to the end where he sees Sora, and Yuya dueling each other, and Yuya discovers more about Pendulum Monsters where he finds out Pendulum Monsters don't go to the graveyard from the field, they go to the Extra Deck where they can be summoned later before his Echo Dot beeped which he turned, "This is your reminder: Going to Bed."
"Oh, already time to head to bed?" Dan looked out the window seeing that it's indeed night time before saying, "Amazon, stop." His Echo Dot stopped repeating herself before Dan looked back at the window, "I really had a longer grind then I thought." With that after cutting his Laptop off he exited his room where he sees a middle-aged man that has graying hair with glasses on wearing a black tux, and blue striped tie was reading a newspaper before Dan told him, "Mr. Calvert?"
"What is it?" the middle-aged man asked not looking over.
"Well, it's time for me to head to bed, so I just-"
"I told you before not to bother me with such small matters Daniel." Dan had the urge to say his name's not Daniel but he didn't say anything, "Go on ahead, and head off to bed."
"Yes sir." Dan nodded before walking off to his room yawning in sudden exhaustion, "Whoa man... Guess I am pretty tired." He went to get in bed only to notice something, "Huh?" Walking over he sees one of his Decks glowing before picking it up blinking surprised before the contents glowed bright making him cry out startled as he watches that the light grew brighter before a soft female voice told him, "I'm sorry to drag you into this, but I need your help, young man..."
Flashback End...
Of course he doesn't exactly know who it was that talked to him that night but he can find out who it is soon. But right now he is in the most recent installment of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, and one he almost has no knowledge of. He doesn't know what exactly this woman needs help on, but is ready to help whatever he can. That being said he finds himself in the park looking around seeing how peaceful it looks. What kind of guys would want to harm this place? He looked up at the sky as he thought that before sighing saying to himself, "Still why am I here...? Who is it I'm suppose to help? Maybe some people in danger?" He also looked at his Deck, "Maybe to who are in need of aid? I mean, based on things around here, Fusion seems to be separated from the rest-"
"Did you say helping those who are harmed by Fusion?"
Surprised he turned to see it was a boy who was eyeing him. This boy is wearing a mask concealing his identity, and wearing a black shirt with a ragged black cape having black, and purple hair, and having on gray jeans, and shoes. Surprised Dan asked him, "Whoa... Who are you?"
"That's not important. I need to know the answer to my question." the boy answered seriously which Dan looking a little startled seeing how serious he is nodded before the boy tried walking forward, "Then you need to come with me." Dan only stepped back making the boy stopped walking, "What?"
"Why is it, you wanted to know that?" Dan asked him.
"You should know what the Fusion Dimension did."
"The what?" Dan asked confused.
Fusion Dimension? Based on what this boy is talking about he might be talking about that their's a Dimension based on Fusion Summoning. But still something doesn't add up, this boy is treating Fusion Summoning like it's bad. But that can't be right, Fusion is one of his favorite summoning mechanics cause of how easy it was to do, and not only that it also, is one of the oldest mechanics ever since he started playing the game until Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's came to the series with Synchro Summoning.
Surprised by Dan's question he asked, "You don't know?" When Dan shook his head as he closed his eyes, "Then I must duel you."
He had activated a different Duel Disk then what Dan seen so far which he looked surprised but knows he's serious, and prepared himself before checking his three Decks selecting one in his Duel Disk setting the deck as they get ready thus beginning a night duel.

To say that Dan didn't expect that was an understatement. He thought the boy would summon a strong monster during the first turn but apparently that wasn't what he done. Not deciding to let that bother him Dan drew looking at his hand seeing Double Attack, Hieratic Seal from the Ashes, Hieratic Seal of Supremacy, Wattaildragon, Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord, and his drawn card; Hieratic Dragon of Nuit.
Nodding having a strategy in mind he called, "First off, I'll summon Hieratic Dragon of Nuit!"
What rose up was a dragon humanoid warrior that has silver scales with long white hair. He also wears orange based like armor with his arms mostly exposed showing muscles while having on a faceless helmet on the top of his head, and a long armored tail that has a spear point on it with a symbol at the hip area that makes up the Hieratic Crest. His wings are also energy based with the armor making it.

He didn't have much time to think though cause Dan's starting more taking a card in his hand, "Next, I'll activate the spell, Double Attack!" The spell he's activating shows itself as a Marauding Captain slashing a wooden dummy twice as if referencing the name of the card.

Dan shows the Wattaildragon in his hand discarding it before adding, "Then in addition Nuit's own effect activates!" Said monster meditated glowing bright making himself a big light in the night before Dan explained, "Whenever he's targeted for an effect, I can summon a Dragon monster from my Hand, Deck or Graveyard as long as I make it's attack, and defense points 0."
Looking through his Deck he shows a second seal, "Like this guy!" Placing the card down he called, "Come! Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord!"
A light appeared from the sky before what lowered was a dragon orb almost like the Winged Dragon of Ra's own sphere form. But unlike Ra it's beige in color, and has silver linings around it along with a dark brown eye like symbol on it.

A mysterious engraved Hieratic relic. It was thought to be a simple stone, but it was actually infused with the power of a sun-wielding dragon. Aeons passed, and the power of the relic grew and grew until it finally shone like the sun itself.
Dan then takes another card flipping it over showing it to the boy, "Then I use the spell, Hieratic Seal of Supremacy!"
The spell shows of a dragon going through what looks like a magical seal on it.

What rose from the seal was a second Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord raising up showing itself.

Two Level 8 monsters. That must mean he's planning to do an Xyz Summon. The boy didn't had much time to think cause Dan called, "Next with my two seals on the field, I now Overlay both my level 8, Dragon Seals," the two turned into golden energy flying up into a large galactic portal entering in, "in order to build the Overlay Network!" The portal exploded as something materialized.
"From the brilliant shining of the sun lays the dragon sealed for an eternity that desires to protect the light! Now with the seal broken may it go down to this earth to defend all from the coming forces of darkness! Xyz Summon! Rank 8, Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis!"
What lowered down was a large humanoid muscular dragon similar to Nuit but different. It is a large beast that has red scales with a long neck, and tail. It also has on more revealing golden armor around it's body with large shoulder, and knee cap guards along with large golden wings that are also energy based just like Nuit's own wings, and also has a large golden core on it's chest roaring loud.

The trap flipped showing itself as a set of sentient ghost armor shaping differently then an average knight's own armor with silver, and black armor gloves with a strap around the torso area that also has a gold strap on it shaping as a belt with a black, and silver armor skirt around the waist.

"Huh?" Dan blinked never seeing a trap like that as the boy explained, "I take a monster on the field, and lower it's attack points by 600! In addition none of my Phantom Knights can be destroyed in battle this turn! Afterwards, I can then summon this card as a level 2 monster! I select Heliopolis!"

"Come Phantom Knights of Lost Vambrace!" the same armor as from the trap popped up defending the boy.

Dan seeing that nodded, "Okay, that would explain why you didn't summon a monster." Before he raised his arm, "And it can only be destroyed in battle but not by effects! I activate Heliopolis' special ability!" Taking an Overlay Unit it's chest (ORU: 2 - 1) Heliopolis charged energy as Dan revealed, "By using an Overlay Unit, I get to sacrifice monsters from my hand or field to destroy the same amount of cards!" Nuit turned to energy flying up to Heliopolis' chest readying to attack.
The boy wasn't going to allow that easily calling, "I activate the trap, Phantom Knights' Fog Blade!" A Continuous Trap showing itself as a purple ghost bladed sword that has a minotaur skull at the base with a bone vine like handle appeared.

The boy called, "I target Heliopolis for that!"
The glow Heliopolis was building up faded away fast as it roared being stripped of it's power. Along with that Nuit detaches from Heliopolis flying back to the field.

Dan stared at his huge dragon from behind before turning to the boy, "You knew, I was gonna use Heliopolis...?" Not much else to do, Dan sets a card, "I end my turn."
With that, Lost Vambrace's effect to defend the boy's monsters, and the attack point reduction is gone.

What rose up was another ghost that has armored gloves on, and small plated purple armor on. The gloves themselves have glowing cores in the palms while also being dark black, and purple leather with flaming rings at the wrists, and the same flames on the helmet with a core at the midsection area, and glowing purple eyes readying.

This ghost knight looks much less like a Knight but sure is armored. It has a brown robe shaped like a hoodie with a small skull shaped necklace, and a yellow sash on his waist readying. He also has on blue pants, and brown boots on with a red land band around his head that also holds his hood in place with having shackles on him.

The boy confirmed his suspicions raising his arm up, "I now Overlay Level 3 Silent Boots, and Ragged Gloves!" The two turned to purple energy entering the Overlay Network before exploding materializing the monster.
"Souls of knights who fell on the battlefield. Revive here and now, and become the light that breaks the darkness! Xyz Summon! Appear, Rank 3, The Phantom Knights of Break Sword!"
What rose was a large black armored ghost knight without a helmet as if referencing the Headless Horseman riding a ghost steed that has on plated armor with a face-plate to shape it's face with purple jewel like eyes, and purple hooves with the ghost riding it has on the plated armor as well, and a silver armored waist on him. His weapon of choice is a large purple glass sword, and what's shaped like bone edges on it, and looks broken at the tip.

'But thanks to Fog Blade, he can't attack Heliopolis for a double KO, and that means, I can survive that attack...' Dan thought seeing that.
The boy then called, "I then activate the effect of Break Sword!" He takes a Unit it's blade, (ORU: 2 - 1) "By using an Overlay Unit, I destroy a card on each of our fields!"
"What?" Dan asked shocked not expecting an ability like that.
"I destroy Break Sword itself, and your face-down!" Break Sword charged at Dan's face-down who grunted calling, "I activate the face-down, Hieratic Seal From the Ashes!"
A trap popped up in front of him showing what seems like like a dragon a bit similar to Heliopolis is getting enveloped in a magical seal.

"During your turn, I send a Hieratic from my Deck to the graveyard!" He checked through his Deck sending the card he wanted as Break Sword slashed the trap down destroying it as Break Sword itself was destroyed before Dan added, "Then whenever Seal From the Ashes is sent to the graveyard while on the field, I can summon a Hieratic from the graveyard!"
The seal from the trap appeared on the ground in front of him as he takes the card he just sent, "So now, I'll summon from the graveyard, Hieratic Dragon of Su!"
What rose from the seal was a new dragon. This dragon has blue scales on him with the same golden armor as the other Hieratic Dragons do, and has a blue eye on the chest plate like what the Seal Overlord has with blue energy wings readying in Defense.

The boy nodded seeing that before adding, "I activate Break Sword's other effect! As it was destroyed, and gone to the graveyard, I can summon two Phantom Knights from the graveyard with the same level from my graveyard, and increase their levels by 1! Revive Ragged Gloves, Silent Boots!"
The two mentioned knights popped up again.

"He's doing another Xyz Summon?" Dan asked shocked seeing this.
The boy raised his arm again, "I now overlay Level 4 Ragged Gloves, and Silent Boots! With these two monsters, I once again build the Overlay Network!" The two ghost knights again glowed purple entering the Overlay Network again as it exploded materializing his new monster.
"Brave souls that wander the battlefield! Join with your comrades hidden in the skies to ambush your prey! Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Raider's Knight!"
What rose was a black armored ghost warrior that has a long purple cape with it's helmet having two long points on both sides with a belt on him riding a black armored horse that has ghost energy in it holding a large lance.

"2000 attack points..." Dan trailed off seeing it.
The boy still ain't done, "Now I activate it's Special Ability!" Raider's Knight takes an Overlay Unit in it's lance as he called, "Now I can use Raider's Knight to rebuild the Overlay Network into a Raidraptor, Xyz Dragon, or Phantom Knight 1 rank higher or lower!"
"What?" Dan asked shocked.
Consecutive summons are somewhat hard to pull off but as demonstrated by his opponent before him, he's doing it perfectly, and masterly. His Hieratic Deck can do it do but nowhere as good as his Phantom Knights that seem to keep summoning themselves. Well the name 'The Phantom Knights' does gave that away but that's beside the point! Along with being with three archetypes at the same time? That's on a whole other level.
Raider's Knight glowed purple entering the Overlay Network itself, "With this one monster, I rebuild the Overlay Network!"
For the forth time in the match the Overlay Network exploded leaving itself to materialize the monster which is a silhouette of a large dragon.
"Darkest Cloud to call it's foolish enemies! Use your treacherous fangs to spark fear to your enemies with your blood-soaked talons! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Rank 5, Arc Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
What was the silhouette is a large black dragon that has purple scales around with large spikes at the head with two large blades below it's jaw with some large armor, and large mechanical wings along with having silver plates around it's body with golden plates around it, and large armored gauntlets on it's forearms. To finish up it also has a long tail almost like a serpent with two blades on it roaring.

"Ah man, that's what I call a hardcore Dragon..." Dan trailed off seeing the dragon in shock.
The boy raised his arm, "Wait until you see what it can do!" The dragon roared absorbing an Overlay Unit into it's wings (ORU: 2 - 1), "By using an Overlay Unit, Arc Rebellion gains the attack points of every monster on the field!"
Dan watched in shock as Arc Rebellion fired electricity on the field absorbing the power of his Nuit, Heliopolis, and Su while also taking the boy's Lost Vambrace.

"In addition if one of it's Overlay Units is a DARK Xyz Monster, the effects of all monsters on field are negated!" Su, and Nuit both roared loud in agony as the lightning also sealed their abilities while Heliopolis didn't react due to Fog Blade's effect sealing it's abilities earlier, and Vambrace wasn't effected due to being a Normal Monster. The effect was so powerful it shook the screen as it done so.

"No... way..." Dan trailed off in shock seeing this not seeing an option to get out of this.
He cannot believe at how strong this guy was... Especially with a dragon as strong as that one. It makes him wonder why he didn't summon it earlier... Then it hit him. He didn't summon it earlier cause the boy was checking to see what kind of Deck he uses before then, and afterward have a monster with high enough attack points to perform a OTK while also making sure their would be no interferences. It certainly shown through from how well he had dueled against him, and now Dan is trapped with a monster in Attack Mode.
The boy told Dan, "You weren't harmed from the Fusion Dimension yet you said you would help those who we're injured from them. The least, I can do was test your prowess. Your technique is weak, and is lacking originality. Your Deck is a typical Hieratic Deck without any traits of being original." Dan looked confused as he explained, "Effective yes, but not exactly the big secret. You don't use that Deck a lot do ya?"
"...No not really." was his answer with the shake of the head.
The boy nodded saying, "It's fixable though... Work more with the Deck to give it more imagination. Keep that in mind."
Hearing that Dan looked up to his trapped Xyz Dragon giving thought. What his opponent told him was right he never worked well with the Hieratics since to be fair Xyz was still a new summoning before the release of Pendulum but still he tries his best to rely on more then one card then only using Heliopolis. He does have another Xyz Deck but it's just mishmash dragon Xyz cards that rely on high leveled dragons which isn't reliable itself plus he lost it sometime ago, and doesn't know where it ended up too. And hearing the boy saying that to him made him realize perhaps it should be time he starts paying more attention to the Hieratics.
That was before he heard his opponent called, "Battle!" Dan looked up as he called, "Arc Rebellion attack Hieratic Dragon of Nuit! Disobeying Lightning of Rebellion!" Arc Rebellion charged forward at Nuit with it's wings soaring fast at Nuit as it whimpered before Arc Rebellion tackled through it exploding loud as Dan cried out being pushed back instantly losing the match.

Dan was sprawled on his back at the loss as the boy stared at him walking over before after a few seconds heard footsteps before looking over his shoulder, and turned to Dan one last time saying, "We will meet again whoever you are." Before running off to avoid being spotted.
Dan only looked at the stars knowing he has a lot of work to do with his Hieratic Deck as his vision blurred, and before he passed out he sees Yuya's worried face shaking him while saying something.
The next day...
Dan grunted at the sunlight as he woke up opening his eyes yawning as he sat up rubbing his head. "Oh... What a dream... I thought I was in ARC-V, and fought in real duels while..." He looked around seeing he was in the guest room Yoko, and Yuya let him stay him which he finished while turning to the camera with a shocked look, "And I wasn't dreaming!"
He tries to remember what happened to him. Soon he remembers that last night he was dueling this guy who never gave him his name, and he brought out some kind of Xyz Dragon that is ridiculously stronger then anything else he had face. First negating effects, and also gaining high amounts of attack points. And he still remembers the words that gave had given him which convinces him to give more attention to the Hieratic Deck, and improve it better instead of keep relying on Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis. Plus since he lost, he knew that just like against Declan, he needs to get stronger the best he can.
Deciding to get up so he can start getting better he tried standing up but only sitting back down from feeling weak to his knees while feeling his knees demanding him to stay in bed but he needs to be better from whatever is ahead, and get better. But this was forgotten when the door opened, and he looked to see Yoko, and Yuya along with Zuzu have entered the room with Yoko carrying a tray which seems to carry waffles, syrup, and milk which is what he prefers over pancakes for breakfast. No offense to Yoko of course.. Dan looked surprised when he sees Zuzu tearing up, and before he can react from seeing him awake she ran over, and hugged him close which startled him.
"Uh... Zuzu?" Dan asked surprised not sure what to do from the sudden embrace.
"Dan... I'm so sorry."
While still looking surprised, and a bit guilty from hearing how cracking her voice is he looked over to Yuya for a explanation while patting Zuzu's back but the look on Yuya's face along wuth shaking his head told him Zuzu would tell him herself. With that he turned to Zuzu while she pulled back sniffing while wiping her tears before saying, "S-Sorry for worrying you Dan... But I know who that was." He looked surprised before she turned to Yuya, and Yoko requesting, "Can you give me, and Dan some privacy please?"
Yoko nodded as she handed her the tray as she, and Yuya walked out of the room before Zuzu placed the tray on Dan's lap for him to eat before with a guilty look explained to him, "I don't know the full story about him, Dan but he was the reason why You Show, and LID was dueling against each other."
Surprised hearing that Dan asked her, "Huh? Did he do something?"
"Well..." She started to explain it at the beginning where after Sora's duel with Yuya, she gotten an Ice Cream craving which she, and Allie went to get some for everyone before they find two of Sylvio's goons talking about plans to get revenge on Yuya in a very devastating way, and deciding to do something they followed them to a set of storehouses while Allie headed back to inform Yuya, and the others about the situation. Alone Zuzu confronts Sylvio, and challenges him to stop what he's planning which he told her she should've left him alone but accepts as a way to get revenge on Yuya only be to surprised when someone took down one of his goons, and what was there was a Masked Boy which Dan knows was the boy was there, and duels in Zuzu's place telling her he doesn't want her getting hurt again much to her confusion. Soon during the duel he had summoned a similar Dragon then the one Dan fought, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, and after avoiding some of Sylvio's cocky attacks he defeated Sylvio, and avoided danger of losing but the resulting duel injured him to where it was the reason why the Schools dueled. When they left Zuzu caught a glimpse of his face was identical to Yuya's.
That last part caught Dan off-guard as he gives thought about that, 'Identical faces...? Then is he Yuya's brother...?'
"Me, and Yuya saw Yuto dueling you, and when I seen the duel ended, I thought something bad happened to you." Zuzu admitted while revealing the name of the duelist, "Yuto left before we can get his attention, and you blacked out."
Dan thought about it hearing that now knowing Yuto was the reason that LID dueled You Show in the first place by hurting him by accident, and Yuto held a resemblance to Yuya's own face. He don't know what is going on but suspects that this series might be focusing on Yuya, and Yuto due to their resemblances.
...He thinks.
"Dan you okay?"
Snapping out of it he looked to see Zuzu looking worried which he smiled to her to assure her before answering, "Oh I'm okay Zuzu."
Zuzu nodded before asking him, "Oh right have you heard of the Arc-League Championship?" Seeing his confused look she said, "I'll take that as a no." Before explaining to him, "Well Yuya is trying to get in it he has to win 4 duels."
Hearing that Dan soon thinks about to while he watches the series he heard his friends talking about something called the 'Arc League Championship' to where Yuya competes in, and things go downhill from there if he had to guess that's where evil invaded he thinks, so he believes that by joining the Championship he can figure out why exactly he's here which he decides there's no harm in joining while also working on the Hieratics to make them better which he asked her, "How can I join?"
"How many wins do you have in a row?" Zuzu asked him.
Dan looked to see.

He lost against Declan but won against Sora which means 1 win but Yuto then crushed him without much effort based on how the duel was handled which made him answer, "Zero."
Zuzu hearing that nodded before explaining, "You need to win 6 consecutive official duels in order to participate, or have a record in the past year of 50 duels with a 60% win rate."
Hearing that Dan gave some thought at that. While he is a decent duelist on Dawn of a New Era, or other dueling engines he does lose sometimes but his record doesn't contain anything special but with his new Duel Disk not recording any of that, that's out. And he's sure not gonna get enough duels by the time that happens so there is only one other option which is getting a unbroken record of 6 wins in a row. Deciding on that he asked her, "Well do you know how I can win 6 duels in a row?"
"You can ask Nico Smiley for some help. He's the one who is helping Yuya with that, and was the Sledgehammer's manager before Yuya debuted Pendulum Summoning in that match,. but it takes 2 days to qualify a duel, and the Championship is in 2 weeks so you need to hurry with it." Zuzu answered.
Hearing that Dan nodded. Time is tight but he knows he can do it if he tries hard enough. Plus it can also help him with his Decks getting stronger as he continues dueling more against stronger opponents, and maybe to one day beat Declan, and Yuto in a rematch. With that decided he smiled nodding which Zuzu smiled back before walking off saying, "Eat your breakfast first before we go."
With that said Dan looked at his breakfast before starting to dine on silently.
Times changed, and it shows in this chapter here. Otherside from the improved grammar, and extra content the duel was shorter now. I honestly wasn't expecting for Yuto to have a win that early but just decided to go with the flow instead of having Dan try to survive that blow as I agreed with Mage of Hope's own saying during her story in Tagforce Evolution before she decided to remake it. But now we have Yuto who has shown us his Arc Rebellion Xyz Dragon which is a ridiculously powerful card but not one without weaknesses. We will visit more into these weaknesses another time cause now we are onto Dan having 6 duels in a row to try to qualify for the Arc-League Championship, and improve his Decks more.
