A collection of oneshots because I haven’t been writing anything particuarly long so it makes sense to post them together.

It wasn't fair. Arthur was only supposed to be in Camelot for one week. A single week, while he solicited more grain for his starving village. That was it. Instead, he managed to somehow save the life of a prattish prince and was now bound by the king to serve him. And what was with the dragon in the dungeon, calling him the "Once and Future King?"

When someone overhears Merlin and Gaius talking, the warlock doesn't know how to react.

At the end of the second part of the tears of Uther Pendagon, Merlin and Morgana share a heartbreaking moment (I'm hoping it wasn't just my heart that was breaking). I couldn't help but notice how close Merlin was to telling Morgana about his magic. So I'm going to write an alternate version of a scene where he does, and explore the repercussions. A whole load of angst. Enjoy!

Now, Arthur must struggle to come to terms with a traumatized Merlin, whose neckerchief has been replaced by a ring of bruises. TW: strangulation, panic attacks. With some difficulty, they made there way outside. Arthur had to sling Merlin basically over the horse to get him up. He made sure to keep a tight grip across Merlin's chest to keep him upright. He could feel when Merlin finally fell asleep.
