He stared out at the vast expanse of stars, twinkling like millions of little diamonds; lighting the route of those who had been fortunate to achieve space travel. The site drove some to tears, others to stare at them for hours on end; and then there was his group.

He didn't care for beauty, why should he when he was a lord of evil about to conquer the planet of his birth, the stars were merely apart of the large void he had to go through to get to his objective.

To conquer the Earth and destroy all goodness, to do this he had spent twenty five years building his army and his vessel. To many it was gray and depressing, and had no particular shape to it, but it was a fortress that would help him.

He had left his wife behind but she had merely been there to give him a way to give him an outlet when life began to annoy him, or to satisfy his many other urges, love was another thing he had given up in his quest. But she had known all of that when she married him, he would one day conquer the whole universe and being married to him was the highest honor. She knew she was lucky to have been chosen.

He turned away from the window and went to the mirror to look at his outfit, completely gray shirt and pants, and gray long cape. Each part had little red lines going down the side. Even the walls of his ship was gray, although he had some green added to the décor, a little color did suit him.

He hadn't been born this way, he had had a twin brother and for many years they were closer than anyone, then they were accepted into an academy that would teach them to use their mysterious abilities. His ability bored him, doing things with dirt did not impress him; his twin was a hothead who didn't really do much better.

Then one day he found the scrolls that told where dark magic was and curious he went to the caves, gray and depressing to many, the darkness would also have scared anyone else away but at that moment he had felt like he belonged for the first time in his life. He spent all of his free time there and where after many months of study had summoned the Ancient Lord of Evil.

"Are you ready to take my place as heir; are you ready to forsake everything?"

That conversation still delighted him; he wanted to show up his brother and had said yes. Little by little he was given dark magic, but had been discovered eight months later and had been banished from Earth, before that he had taken his mentor's name.

And he was on his mighty ship with his army that had already destroyed worlds, and tomorrow Earth would be the next in line.

Lothor sneered, "Just one more day dear brother, just one more day."
