Chapter Two – September 20, 2006

Demoonica should have known yesterday the feeling of going into labor, this was her second child after all. However, the first time around she hadn't paid any attention to the lower back pain, the difficulty sleeping, and everything pointing to labor, until it was nearly time. The sudden sharp pains meaning active labor had shocked her. Out in the woods away from town, her Bishounen and Bishoujo friends had been a life savor.
This time though. All yesterday afternoon her lower back had ached more than normal. Last night she tossed and turned, unable to get comfortable in the bed she shared with Zander. She had gotten up in the early morning hours and sat on the couch, then walked around the house, then back to the couch on an endless cycle for a few hours. As the sun had began to rise she knew something was up. She woke up Zander (who got Damia), grabbed her Bishballs, and headed into Epoh City. To the small local hospital that she had visited before, glad to know the staff a little more.
Now she was laying in her bed, a good six hours later, holding a tiny new life. This child's entrance into the world had not been nearly as dramatic as it's older sister. "What are we going to name her?" Zander asked from the chair beside the bed.
The child, a second daughter, was asleep in Demoonica's arms. Her head was covered in rose pink hair, and when her eyes had been open they were light green. Genetics seemed to have been thrown out the window, when this child was concerned. Not that Zander really knew his ancestry beyond his parents. "I named Damia."
Understanding the hint, Zander thought for a time. "Dana? Both you and her sister have names that start with 'D' already."
Demoonica nodded. "Okay. Dana."
"Dana Rose, for the hair." Zander continued.
"It's pretty." Demoonica agreed. "She's so tiny, I hardly remember Damia being small, she grew so fast. Where is she anyway? I didn't think to ask."
"Waiting room with Kagome. She told all the guys to make themselves scarce around town. I'm ninty-nine percent sure most of them are just outside the hospital, on the lawn."
Demoonica chuckled. "As long as no ones causing trouble."
"I doubt it, no explosions." He paused. "There were sort of explosions last time."
"A Gundam landing in the middle of the Naruto territory's city."
"Wufei paid for that. Thank the Safety Department." Zander sighed. "Are you sure you want to become an active trainer again De?"
"It's... yes, yeah I do. It's the lifestyle I had for two years, from the time I arrived here." She paused for a moment. "The last two years were different, for everyone. Not just the stuff with 'us'... I feel- I don't know, wanderlust? Two years living in a real house and only walking into the local town was such a big change, it was jarring. It was like being back on Earth, it was weird."
"Okay." He said softly. "We'll start traveling again."

Thankfully, with little drama and no near death experiences involved in Dana's birth, Demoonica was released from the hospital in a few short days. It still involved being wheeled out in a chair though, much to her annoyance. September would be ending soon and the air here was cooler than it had been only days before. Demoonica stood as soon as she was allowed, trying to hide the stiff movements and low level ache said movements caused. She was tired, she wanted to go home.
Zander handed Dana to her, she cradled the baby wrapped up in a blanket, as Damia spotted them from across the lawn and ran over to her parents. At two-years-old she could easily pass for a child of three or four. "Mama! Da!" Zander scooped her up as she launched herself at him.
"Damia. Try not to glomp your mom, she just had a baby remember?"
The child looked over at the baby bundled in her mother's arms. "Yeah." She shook her head up and down dramatically, her long dark brown hair bouncing in it's softly curled manner. "Sorry."
"Good girl."
"Hey!" Kagome called from across the lawn, her hand waving to the pair. "They actually let you out today!"
"Yup!" Demoonica called back, starting to walk over to the Bishoujo. "Where are the guys?"
"At home. No one needs over thirty antsy Bishounen wandering around town." Kagome gave a chuckle. She held out her hands. "Baby." Demoonica complied, handing the wrapped bundle over to the Bishoujo. "So, I'm pretty sure the hospital wouldn't let you out without putting a name on the birth certificate. What did you guys name her?"
"Dana Rose Maxwell."
"Oh, how pretty!" Kagome cooed.
All the movement and talking had roused the infant and her light green eyes opened a crack. Unused to the bright sunlight directly above, that was as far as they opened. She wimpered.
"We need to pick up a few supplies, but after that, we can head home." Demoonica felt a sudden collision with her legs. Looking down she saw Damia hugging them tightly. The child looked up.
"Mama's not holding the baby. Da let me down."
Demoonica ruffled Damia's hair. "So you just had to glomp me."
"Yeah."

The next six weeks passed quickly, Demoonica, Zander, and her chosen team of Bishounen camping in the Darkmoon Woods with Damia and baby Dana to get the children use to the lifestyle of not being in a house every night. Not that Damia and Dana actually had to sleep outside, after all what's a Pocket Dimension Sphere for? An unused 'PD' Sphere had been kitted out with everything from Damia's bedroom and all the necessities for Dana. Demoonica had been able to switch this ball onto a ribbon around her neck instead of Hiead's ball. The mixture of Pokemon's Pokeball technology and Dragon Ball Z's dimensional technology was amazing.
Speaking of Hiead's Bishiball, it was connected to her belt like the rest, though it wasn't used much. After finding out that the blood bond had went haywire during his capture, Demoonica had done the obvious. She'd released Hiead, breaking his ball in half. It wasn't right to have that much power over someone you were trying to be in a relationship with. This had effectively removed Hiead's extreme possessive desires towards her. However that had left his actual built up feelings for her he'd developed while knowing her. She had wanted to not recapture him, but he pointed out that the Bishiball was his only real form of protection from other dim witted teenage girls with too much power for their own good. So recaptured he was. She'd set up the door into his room on an empty wall space in the house and the ball was just sort of left to gather dust.
Today though was the day. The day they were headed back out into the expansive wilderness of the Bishiworld. Ra help them.
"And you're sure you have everything?" Katan asked worriedly to his trainer.
"Ja, Katan. Kagome has helped me double check like five times in as many days." Demoonica waved off his worried look. "Look, I promise, if we forgot anything it's easy to replace or if not, it isn't that hard to come home in the 'QT'... I have a small shuttle craft, remember?"
"Yes... though..." He sighed. "I still wish you were taking everyone with you, for your protection."
"I was alone when I started out you know. Plus nine overprotective Bishi AND my boyfriend are going to be with me. Nothing is going to get me."
"I... I know." He turned to face the house. "I'll help Kagome keep the house from being burnt to the ground."
"Thank you. I know you will." Demoonica adjusted her backpack straps.
Katan was the last remaining Bishounen outside saying goodbye. Other than his fighting with Marou, Katan had been one of the most mature Bishounen in the group, the big brother figure to Kagome's mothering presence. A good number of the Bishounen going with Demoonica were still in their San stage, but were no longer the mix group of strangers they had been upon capture. They didn't need someone to parent them. Demoonica didn't need parenting anymore either. The change in dynamic happened slowly, now it was shoved to the front of his mind, probably Kagome's mind too.
Katan didn't turn around to look when Zander called for Demoonica, the sun drifting higher into the morning sky. The half-Bishounen wore a chest baby holster, a wide eyed month old Dana use to the device that she'd be carried in while her parents walked. Hiead stood beside him, Damia on his hip. He was the only person able to catch her if she had a burst of speed, thanks to his EX ability. Technically Zero could catch her too, when he was paying attention, but he wasn't coming with them. Demoonica joined the pair of young men with a smile, worried about leaving home even if she tried no to. Today was the start of a new adventure.
Hiead, Zander, Demoonica and the children had only made it to the edge of the Darkmoon Woods when Demoonica began to tap at her Bishi Gear on her wrist. "It's been nearly two years of the world growing." She said, bringing up the map. "Nothing is going to be where it once was." She looked back towards the house, now out of view, but she knew where it was. "I know I told Katan we'd not be too far away in the first few days... but we know there aren't any Bishi territories near Epoh City anymore."
"What are you planning?" Zander asked.
"Just a random starting point." She pushed a button on the Bishi Gear. Zander was sure he heard the sound of dice rolling. A moment later Ddemoonica spoke again. "Okay, we are headed towards the video game cluster." She pulled out the capsule that held the 'QT' shuttle craft. "Let's get going."
