I do not own anything from Disney or characters. I own Snow (Eliza) and McCoy and Luke. Everything else in this fanfiction is all Disney.
(3 Months Later)
McCoy, it is time for school! I yelled up the stairs. Hurry up before you miss the school bus! I would never have thought that at age 3, McCoy would be going to school, but here he is, getting ready for his first day of school.
I am coming; Mom yelled McCoy. My little ball of fur runs down the stairs and to the kitchen table like a mad man. I smiled at him and said what do you want for Breakfast? Cereal is just fine, mom he said back.
I went to grab the box off the shelf, and as I did, Nick came down the stairs and kissed me, and went to the coffee pot to turn it on. I gave McCoy the box, a bowl, and a spoon, and I sat down feeling very tired. I have been getting tired this past week or two, and I am only getting worse.
Nick came to the table with his cup of coffee, and as soon as I got the smell into my nose, I was up and running to the bathroom. I was vomiting the little food that I had been eating.
Snow? Nick said while knocking on the door. I did not answer; I felt so sick. I did not have the energy to talk. Snow! Make a noise, anything to make me know that you are ok. I whined, which I knew would make him know that I was ok, but I did not expect him to get the door open and walk into the bathroom. I was in a ball, trying to get the energy to feel better by this point. Snow? Nick said and went down to my level and nuzzled my head with his. Mate, are you ok? He asked, and I said I do not feel well. It was my coffee again.
I just looked at him and said nothing. This has been my past week every morning. I have no idea what is wrong.
Nick said I will be right back. McCoy needs to get on the bus, and after I put him on, I will be back. Do not move. He said. I only nodded and whined, went back into my ball, and fell asleep.
While Nick was out, the doorbell rang, which woke me up. Like every day, Judy will ring the bell, walk-in, and talk to me while Nick still gets ready. We will talk and laugh, and it did not take me long to know why Nick loved this Rabbit. She is such a sweet bunny: Hard-working and an excellent friend to have.
Snow? Judy yelled.
I barked, and she started to walk up the stairs and found me in the bathroom on the floor. Oh, Snow Judy said. Did you get sick again? I nodded my head. You do not look so good. You have a fever as well. I looked at her and said very quietly I could not eat anything, Judy. As soon as I smell something, I get sick. I only want a good meal and something to drink, but even water makes me feel awful.
Nick left to put McCoy on the bus, I said. Oh, it is McCoy's first day of school. He is an intelligent, good kid. He will do great in school. I smiled and said I hope so. He is soaking up knowledge like a sponge does with water. I will stay with you till Nick comes back. Judy said. I am ready to bet a dozen carrots that he will take you to the doctor himself.
Yea, I know. I said
I stopped talking and started to fall back to sleep. I was so tired and must have been out of it because the next thing I knew, Nick was on the floor trying to wake me up, and Judy was gone. Nick saw me looking and said Judy went to work. You look so tired. He then picked me up and said we were going to the hospital. I put my head on his chest and said we do not need to do that. I will be better later today, or I might get sick again during dinner.
See? said Nick. You need a doctor.
I did not have the energy to talk. I only wanted to sleep and be with my Nick.
Something must be wrong with me because the hour-long commute to the hospital did not take that long, and I did not wake up till Dr. Lines was calling my name. I whined and barked, please leave me alone. I am so tired.
I know you are, mate, but you need to stay awake now. Can you tell Dr. Lines how you have been feeling? Nick asked. I mumbled, sick, stomach hurts, tired, can not eat. I then started to bark my words after that and said smells. Everything smells. I can not stand food.
Nick told the doctor what I had just said. Snow? Said Doctor. Lines. I did not answer. He tried a couple more times, and he finally looked at Nick and said we needed to do blood work, we needed to get an IV in her, and we needed her to wake up to take a pregnancy test.
Nick looked at the doctor and said pregnancy test? Doctor Lines said yes. She is showing all the signs of being pregnant. Could I be a dad? Nick said. Doctor Lines only smiled and said why don't you get Snow awake and into the bathroom and get a urine sample. Everything else she can sleep through if she wishes.
Nick nodded and went to the bed I was on and nuzzled my head. Come on, Snow, wake up, sweety. Let me see your beautiful blue eyes.
I opened my eyes and heard Nick say there are my favorite eyes. Nice and blue like the sky on a clear sunny day. I smiled at him, and Nick noticed I was about to go back to sleep; he said why don't we go into the bathroom first? Then you can go back to sleep. I nodded my head, and Nick got me into the bathroom; he said I need you to pee into this cup, ok, sweety? The doctor wants to test if you are pregnant or not. I was so tired that I only heard pee in the cup, and that is what I did. The next thing I knew, I was back in a bed, and Nick said to me go ahead, mate. Sleep. I will wake you up again if I need to.
(Nick's POV)
Snow fell asleep so fast again. The nurses weighed her before she came in and said she was a little underweight, but she looked worse than the scale said. I have noticed her looking worse every day for the past two weeks, but she and I both thought she was sick with a stomach bug.
A nurse came into the room, put an IV into Snow's arm, took blood work, and then started the IV. Not long later, Doctor Lines came back with the test results. He said let's start with the bad news first. Your mate is very dehydrated, and her blood counts are off. She has not been eating, and she is missing the vitamins she needs. Because of that, she will be in the hospital for a couple of days.
I looked at the doctor and said anything else? Yes, he said. Snow is pregnant. She is about two months pregnant, so she has about nine more months to go until she is full term. In about two months, we can look at the baby through an ultrasound machine.
My tail started to wag. I was going to be a dad! I already am, but I get to say that this little one is from Snow and I.
The doctor started to talk to me and said that a fox is pregnant for 52 weeks or about 11-12 months. I nodded my head and said yes, I know. The doctor then said she should not do too much that she could not handle when she went home. Since she is so tired, she has been doing too much. What does Snow do during the day? The doctor asked. I said well, she takes care of our son McCoy and goes shopping and takes care of the house. On my days off, she also works at the local bank near our house, but with McCoy starting school, she is going to start working every weekday.
I would recommend that she does not do that said the doctor. I recommend that she takes the time to do small things and keep herself healthy and not overdo it. Her body is not generally reacting to being pregnant. I guess her being from another timeline is responsible for that, but we can get her to feel better with a proper diet and foods with very little smell, which will be good for her.
I nodded my head at him and said anything else? There will be a nurse to bring her to a room shortly, but there is nothing else besides that.
I nodded my head again and watched the doctor leave. I nuzzled Snow's face and got her to wake up. She smiled at me and said hello. Hello sweety, I said.
You look a little better. How are you feeling better? I asked her.
She said—only a little. I am guessing that the IV is doing its job. I can think better than I have been in the past two days.
I nuzzled her head again and said, mate? She looked up and said yes? You are going to be having a pup in 9 months. She looked at me and said what? I repeated myself and said McCoy would have a baby brother or sister. It did not take her long to wag her tail, nuzzle me, lick my face, kiss me, and say I hope the pup looks like you, with a yawn soon after.
They are going to keep you in for a day or two. Don't you worry about McCoy and I. I will call Judy, and she will be over with dinner and ready to help McCoy with anything that he may need. I said.
Snow smiled and said. I love you, Nick. My mate till the end of time. She fell asleep before I could say I love you too.
