Well I recently got into a discussion about ships with a few people and apparently the dislike for rose garden is heavily frowned upon. You all know how I feel about Oscar/Ozpin right and recently it got me thinking thanks to the new episode that came out. Would rose garden still be weird even without Ozpin?
Remember this is my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. As for my answer I'm going to say yes, even if Ozpin does become separate from Oscar. Why? Because of what's happening to Oscar throughout the series so far.
As it was explained to us the soul of Oscar and Ozpin are slowly merging together to become one and eventually this will make it impossible to tell who is who. As we the audience have noticed, Oscar has been using more and more of Ozpins mannerisms as time goes on so what would happen if they separated?
Nothing that's what. As Oscar goes on he's essentially becoming a copy of Ozpin and even if they separated it's not like that's all going to vanish. The way he thinks, talks, lies and everything else will eventually still be with him because his soul is being molded into the exact same as Ozpins.
That's what I think at least.
"Jaune"?!
"Cinder"?!
After having her position as boss usurped by her master, cinder needed time to cool off. Running into her masters enemy while doing so only stoked her anger more.
Cinder and jaune stood a few feet from each other but didn't make any significant movements unless they wanted to fight it out right there. Jaune lifted his hands up slowly to show that he didn't want any trouble at least not where innocent people were likely to be caught in the middle. His raven haired adversary seemed to notice this as well and made no move to create any weapons with her semblance.
"Should we pretend that we never saw each other and go our separate ways"?
It sounded like a good idea but why waste the opportunity when more could be gained from talking "how about a truce seeing as we have time until the schedule meeting time"? Cinder thought about it and probably would have turned him down at any other time "fine, truce it is". Jaune cautiously approached his former friend just to be on the safe side "I didn't think you'd agree".
Cinder smiled "we both know what tonight brings so why waste one last chance to speak? Don't forget I can be civil just as much if not more then you can...jekyll" she whispered his hidden name so only he would hear. If she had surprised him by knowing his secret identity he hid it well.
Jaune shrugged "you always were the smartest out of the three of us but thankfully I made sure to leave no proof you can use against me". He was right and she knew that so she didn't push the subject any further. "So what do you want to do now" she asked as she met his eyes.
Jaune held her gaze for a moment before a smile spread across his face "it's been awhile but how about dinner, just the two of us"? She couldn't tell what he was planning but before she could even think to answer her stomach started to growl. It was already fifteen minutes past five and cinder had all but forgotten breakfast and lunch do to how nervous she was that Alec was arriving today.
Cinders growling stomach didn't go unnoticed by the blonde next to her because he began to chuckle when she glared at him. Jaune stifled a laugh with his left hand "I'll take that as a yes then"? She gave a slight nod to the blonde as her answer.
"We might have a truce but I'm not allowing you to go to juniors bar if that's what your hoping for".
Jaune didn't seem all that offended "that's fine with me. I got a place in mind but before we go we're going to need to do a little grocery shopping. If that's okay with you"? Cinder let out a sigh before fixing him with a glare "fine but I get to choose what's on the menu".
Jaune smiled knowingly "let me guess...steak with red wine and some greens"? Cinder fixed him with another glare before crossing her arms "I'm surprised you remembered after all this time". The blonde shrugged once more "can you blame me? Back at the castle you asked me to make you that all the time".
She remembered and made sure that he cooked her meal to perfection each and every time till it became muscle memory. Cinders eye's softened and a small smile graced her face "it's been years since you last cooked for me, try not to disappoint". Jaune smirked "it has been years, just wait till I show you how much I've improved over the years" he said as the two walked off to the grocery store.

Beacon
Yang sat alone in her dorm room hoping to catch her partner before the rest of their team came back only to find out he left for vale shortly after classes ended. A knock at the door broke her from her thoughts. Yang moved over to the door and pulled it opened only to come face to face with another blonde she knew even better then jaune.
Saphron held her arms out just as yang threw herself at her. Laughter filled the hall as saphron hugged yang with all her strength "you've gotten so big yang" she gushed as she put the younger blonde down. Saphron took a step back to get a good look at just how much yang had changed "I see you've grown in more ways then one".
Yang blushed before she punched her fellow blonde in the arm "Don't check me out creep" she said jokingly. Saphron lifted her hands in a mock surrender "your right it should be my baby bros job". The comment brought a blush to yangs face before the events of earlier pushed to the forefront of her mind.
The sudden change in yangs mood set off alarms in her fellow blondes head. Saphron took hold of yangs arm and dragged her back into the dorm room before closing and locking the door. "Alright what happened" saphron questioned as she rounded on the younger blonde.
Yang thought about just trying to play it off like it was nothing but after being practically sisters with saphron for so long she knew better. A sigh escaped her lips before she delved into the events that happened and the reaction she got for her troubles. Saphron honestly looked surprised that yang made a power play like that.
"You said jaune kissed you back right"?
"Yeah".
"And your sure he's not interested or dating someone else right now"?
Yang thought about it for a moment "he has been spending a lot of time with ruby's partner blake but that's mostly cause they work together". Saphron tapped her chin in thought "Oh you mean the kitty cat with the impressive legs right"? Yang sent the older blonde a deadpan looked "saph, really"?
The elder blonde shrugged with a small smile "hey even you gotta admit she's hot and then she got kitty ears?! Talk about every man's secret fantasy". Yang rolled her eyes despite silently agreeing with her fellow blonde. "I thought you were supposed to be giving me advice, not checking out my classmates" yang said as she laid flat on her bed.
Saphron took a seat next to her "honestly I don't know what to tell you. Jaune could be freaked out because he hasn't realized how he feels about you and then you go blow his mind with that kiss. Then there's the possibility that he's just not interested and got caught up in the moment".
Yang didn't know how she felt about any of those ideas "how do I know which is which"? Saphron shrugged her shoulders "beats me but if you want the quickest way you should just talk to him about it. At least then you'll have the answer and can move on from there".
Yang sat up in her bed with a small smile on her face "thanks for the talk saph, I feel better getting that off my chest". Arms wrapped around the younger blondes neck and shoulder as saphron pulled yang into a loving hug "that's what I'm here for" she said softly. Yangs smile grew at saphrons words and honestly she really couldn't imagine a world where they were anything but family.
With sister time over, yang pulled away from her fellow blonde "so when were you going to tell me you came back to vale"? Saphron let out sigh "actually I wasn't supposed to be here for a couple more days but apparently raven had other plans for me. She brought me here via portal because there was something important she wanted to tell me but apparently I got to wait till uncle qrow gets back from his mission first".
"You think it's something serious"?
Saphron saw yangs concern and gave her a large grin "I don't think it's anything to worry about so I'm not too worried about it". Both of saphrons hands clapped together "putting that aside for now, how about we moved on to something more interesting? Let's talk about your team and ruby's. I hear jaune has a childhood friend over there and as his older sister it is my right to interf- I mean learn more about the company he keeps".
Yang couldn't help but sigh, knowing she was gonna be here a while "alright I'll tell you what I know but it's not exactly a lot". Saphron nodded happily as yang began "so the person we're talking about is-".

On the other side of beacon ruby was walking back from the bathroom after doing her best to avoid one of ren's study sessions when a pair of hands caught her red hood and dragged her away. "Yang did it" ruby yelled to her partner and team leader. Blake's I narrowed on her tiny partner "I know she did and that's why you and I need to talk".
Ruby's eyes widened at the sound of blake's angry voice. Saying yang did it was practically a reflex at this point but if yang really did do it then blake probably hadn't yet learned what she doodled in the ninjas of love book. Ruby chuckled nervously "something tells me I'm not going to like this am I"?
Blake looked back at her partner "yeah you probably won't".

Vale
After collecting the ingredients for their dinner, both jaune and cinder arrived at a residents they both knew for different reasons. To jaune it was the house he once called home back when neo and he spent most of their time together. For cinder this was the house the two spies dexter and rachel lived in until their sudden disappearance.
Jaune walked up to the front door and knelt down to pick up what appeared to be a random stone off the floor. Cinder looked over the blondes shoulder and saw him split the rock in half to reveal a tiny silver key. Jaune took the key and inserted it into the lock and turned it until their was a click.
He pulled the key back out and placed it back into the fake rock before putting it in the exact spot he picked it up from. Once that was done jaune pushed the door open and entered the house. The lights were turned on and jaune led cinder to the kitchen so they could place the groceries on the table.
Jaune began to rummage through the bags for the ingredients he would be prepping first. Once he got what he needed he began moving around the kitchen with the ease of someone who had been there more times then they could count. "Hey cinder if you like you can just wait in the living room while I work on this, unless you think I plan to poison you"?
Cinder huffed "I know you wouldn't dare defile your own cooking with junk like poison so I'll be watching tv until the foods ready". Jaune chuckled lightly as he went to work cutting and seasoning the meat and vegetables. If nothing else there was no denying cinders statement about his cooking.
While jaune remained in the kitchen to prepare their dinner, cinder ventured into the living room hoping to do more then watch TV. The spies from earlier were supposed to remain under supervision at all times and yet they somehow managed to escape without anyone noticing. Cinder turned to the kitchen to make sure her companion was still cooking before she began to look about the house.
Nothing seemed any different from what you'd find in most homes nowadays so cinder snuck upstairs and began checking the rooms. The first room she checked was completely empty except for a single bed and dresser that hadn't been used for a while. Cinder shook her head and move to check the other rooms on the second floor.
One room was a bathroom that held no significance but the other held much more promise. The master bedroom that undoubtedly belonged to the two spies was cleaned out of clothing and jewelry leaving only a few photos that weren't taken when the residents disappeared. Cinder checked everything from the closet, drawers and even under the bed but only found a whole lot of nothing for her troubles.
Cinder stood up and was about to decide to just head back down stairs when one of the photos on the dresser caught her attention. She quickly moved passed the bed and picked up the photo off the dresser. What she saw in the photo had her jaw clenching and set her anger ablaze just like early.
Eventually she managed to calm herself down so she could think clearly. After a few seconds to deliberate she eventually opened the picture frame and remove the photo within before discarding the frame on the bed. A smile spread across her face before she returned to the living room to await the dinner she was sure to get.
A few hours from now (in story) and we'll get to the main event! I'm kinda excited about that. And if you think this chapter is just a waste of time, think again. This chapter is the foundation of a few events that I have planned so yeah, look forward to it.
Last but not least big sis saphron is back! Yay!
