I had been thinking about this scenario for a while and hope it turned out well enough.

Alarms were the bane of ever sleeping person's existence, which was why jaune tossed the alarm clock clear across the room for good measure. Unfortunately for him the alarm clock was made of sterner stuff then he realized because even now it continued to beep. A growl escaped his lips before a tiny giggle caught his attention.

Blake hadn't opened her eyes yet but the large smile on her face let him know she was awake and enjoying his frustration. That wouldn't do. Jaune rolled the cat faunus off his chest and onto her back so he could be above her. Blake's eyes shot opened in suprise before jaune claimed her lips as she tried to speak.

"Mmph jaune...we...need to mmph...get up" she tried to say in between kissing and breathing. Jaune pulled away and gave a small smirk when he saw blake's beet red face barely visible in the light of the moon. She turned her face away but he didn't miss how her tongue slid over her lips when she thought he couldn't see.

Triumphant in his endeavor to embarrass his partner the blonde rose from their bed to shut off the alarm and get dressed for the mission ahead. It sucked that after being interrupted in the act in juniors office, blake had made it clear that she got caught up in the moment and wasn't thinking straight. It was a bummer, sure, but he could live with it until she thought she was ready to take that step with him since he wanted it to be more special.

When they were given the time for the job, he made it a point for blake to get some rest before the time since being fully rested would help their performance in the field. When she agreed with him the two retreated to his room and slept together until it was time. That led to this moment where he was nearly dressed as Jekyll before sneaking a peek at blake.

Only the brothers would know what he got to see in that moment because it would forever be burned into his memory and soul. Long smooth legs, beautifully toned muscles and an ass that was begging to be slapped! He quickly looked away before he turned into a drooling fool on the spot. The moment he did he missed the large smile that spread across blake's face since she knew he was looking and had angled herself just right for his viewing pleasure.

Jaunes attention focused on the remainder of his gear, namely the dark red helmet that he and blake wore in the field. On the outside it looked like there wasn't even eyes to look through but on the inside you could see everything like it wasn't even there, kinda like a two-way mirror. The helmet was a prototype built by scientists in vale with the hope of one day standing next to atlas on the technological stage. Sad that as soon as word got out about the helmet the tech was stolen.

How it ended up in juniors arsenal would remain a mystery probably until the day the old man kicked the bucket. Inside the helmet was a built-in communicator that linked up with other helmets like his, much like a walkie-talkie with it's own unique frequency. There were other little things built in that were never fully completed so unfortunately they were left disabled.

Jaune couldn't help but smile as he thought of how many people actually lived this kind of crazy life like he did. Hell, his relationship with blake all began with the madness he lived with on a daily. Just thinking of what his life would be like without all this crap seemed boring...but peaceful at the same time.

If it wasn't for this secret war he'd be in Beacon actually putting in more effort to be a huntsmen. He would even be able to take blake out on a normal date like any other guy his age. It sounded nice...but for some reason it felt like that'd never happen so long as he kept working with salem or ozpin.

Jaune shook his head to dispel those thoughts from his mind before turning back to blake. She was fully dressed and doing her hair up so it would fit in the helmet when she put it on. "Have I ever told you you look beautiful" he asked as he held up her helmet for her to take. Heat creeped up blake's neck as she took hold of her helmet "no you haven't" she whispered.

Jaune smiled warmly "huh, guess I'll have to do that from now on". Blake returned his smile with one over her own "I think I'm starting to like you when your trying to earn my forgiveness" she said before giving him a quick peck on his lips. She walked passed him a moment later and slipped on her helmet before she reached for the door "let's go to work". He nodded before slipping on his own helmet as he followed after her out the door.

This was it, the day of their first unofficial mission and if ruby had to describe it with one word it'd be "disappointing". Team prowler gained their target from junior thanks to yangs negotiating skills - getting weiss to pay for the info - and learned about a shop selling weapons to masked faunus. When they arrived at the place for the weapons deal they found white fang loading wooden crates into two white trucks in the dead of night.

This would have been the perfect opportunity to jump out and stop their misdeeds before they got away with the weapons, and ruby certainly tried only to get pulled down by their new team leader. Ruby struggled to stand under pyrrha's hand but that only made her look like a bug trying to wiggle it's way to freedom. "Sorry ruby-" the red head apologized "-but I think we should avoid active combat until we're more accustomed to each others fighting style".

Ruby stopped struggling and remained still as she thought about pyrrha's words. True enough, none of them had actually taken the time to really learn how to fight as one team since this one just barely came together. She was sure she could work well with yang and pyrrha since she's had time to train with them but what about weiss?

Team leaders were the ones to look out for the rest of the team and this was one of those times where recklessness could get them hurt if they were not careful. Ruby reached up and tapped on pyrrha's hand to let her know she could let her go now. The red head did so but kept an eye on her tiny teammate just in case she took the opportunity to rush off on her own.

When ruby remained crouched pyrrha turned to the rest of her new team "we have options here" she explained before looking over the edge of the nearby building they were hiding on. "We could take them out right now with the element of surprise on our side, that'd let us make up for the lack of team work but I think It'd be better to let them go with the weapons".

Ruby felt gobsmacked for a moment cause she just couldn't understand what pyrrha had just suggested. "You want us to let them go"? Pyrrha noticed the concern in ruby's voice and smiled warmly "no, I want to tail them to find out where their taking the weapons". Understanding came quickly to the small huntress "so we can bust up a white fang hideout" she asked excitedly.

The red head nodded and earned approving nods from the rest of their team. Ruby could barely contain her excitement as she thought that this was probably what being a secret agent felt like.

Team prowler watched and waited until the the white fang finished loading up the trucks before following after them as they drove away. They made sure to hop from roof top to roof top to keep up with the slow driving vans. Weiss said the reason that they were moving as they were was so they wouldn't draw attention from the local authorities.

The team continued on until they reached an abandoned building on the outskirts of the city. Normally you wouldn't think anything was going on there because there wasn't even a shred of light or even a lookout but when the vans parked in the back they knew they found their place. The grunts unloaded the wooden containers and carried what they could through the back entrance, never noticing the six people sneaking into the building from opposite sides.

Team prowler snuck in through a shattered window then snunk through the dimly lit hallway until they reached an open room filled with faunus's in both uniforms and casual clothing. Pyrrha made a sign with her so hand so they would know to follow her. The rest of the team nodded and snuck around the room, doing there best to avoid getting caught.

"Where are we going" yang asked.

"Places like this usually have an office in the back, I'm guessing the big boss would be back there" weiss answered for the red head. Pyrrha nodded in confirmation to the heiresses deduction.

"And we want to go there for..." Yang trailed off so they could fill in the blanks.

Weiss rolled her eyes "cause if we can capture him and turn him over to the police we could get more information from him then some grunt who doesn't know anything". Yang and ruby made a silent "oh" with their mouths as they continued to the back.

It seemed that most of the fang were in the room behind them which gave them a chance to pick up the pace. The four moved at a brisk pace until an elder man happened across their path. Pyrrha knew if this man was here of all places, it meant he was involved with the white fang in some capacity.

She didn't bother to hesitate as she rushed the white haired man to render him unconscious before he could sound the alarm or call for back up. The next thing pyrrha knew there was a flash of red as their eyes met and she found herself being hurled back from whence she came. Ruby, yang and weiss looked alarmed as their most powerful fighter was sent flying passed them down the hall like a ragdoll.

The three ready their weapons for combat but the elder man just watched them without a care. "Now this is a surprise" he wondered aloud. Pyrrha rolled on the floor and rushed to her teams side when she could.

A moment later pyrrha's eyes widened as she got a better look at the elder man "I know you". The elder man met her gaze before a smile spread over his face "and I know you as well miss nikos, it's been such a long time". Yang, ruby and weiss exchanged looks with one another "pyrrha-" yang called "-you know this guy"?

The red head nodded "his name is Alec, he was with jaune the first time I met him". The elder man nodded "if I remember correctly you were barely up to my waist the last time we met, how you've grown". Pyrrha eyes narrowed on the elder man "why are you here? I don't believe for one second that your here by mistake".

Alec nodded once more "how very astute of you miss nikos" the elder man said. His eyes trailed over the rest of pyrrha's team before locking on to ruby's. "Hmm"? Pyrrha was the only one to react in time as the elder man moved with surprising speed over to ruby.

The small huntress nearly fell backwards with a startled cry but was stopped when a hand landed on her head and kept her from moving away. Pyrrha had barely got her guard up as she thought a fight was going to breakout in that moment but felt even more surprised to see the elder man hadn't even drawn his weapon, in fact all he was doing was rubbing ruby's head. "So your qrow's kid huh? I'm surprised my nephew actually managed to settle down and have a family" he said happily.

Yangs body stiffened "your nephew"? Alec released ruby's head before turning to her "and I take it your ravens daughter? Heh, your the spitting image of your mother when she was your age". The world had turned upside down in an instant for both ruby and yang which left them both speechless.

Weiss was the first to regain control of her self so she held Myrtenaster up at the white haired man "I'm sorry to interrupt but I'd appreciate it if you answer our leaders question" she said in her most threatening manner. Alec looked the heiress up and down before smirking "if you think your going to scare me with that kinda weapon I'd reconsider if I were you".

The elder man held out his katana for the heiress to admire "with this sword I could cut you down five times before you had a chance to use any of those fancy dust tricks of yours miss schnee". His words were delivered as fact and that reminded ruby and yang that this man was dangerous. Ruby took a few steps back away from the elder man just in case he tried anything.

Alec saw the wariness in their eyes before letting out a sigh "very well, I'm here hunting a very dangerous individual on orders from mistrals council with permission from vales council" he answered. The four girls exchanged looks with one another before looking back to the elder man "is he apart of the white fang" weiss asked. Alec shook his head "from my reports he's been hunting white fang members and murdering them in brutal fashion".

"What? But we never heard of a murderer running around vale, the news would have covered it" pyrrha answered.

Alec shook his head once more "the cops are keeping it silent for now under orders so I can catch this guy without local huntsmen interfering. This man has killed a great deal of people, huntsmen and terrorist. It doesn't matter so long as it benefits him in anyway he needs".

"This guy sounds really bad-" ruby said "-but if your alive and okay why haven't you talked to jaune yet"? Alec looked slightly trouble for a moment "because he's made a new life here and if he knew what I was doing he'd abandon Beacon in heartbeat". Ruby, yang and pyrrha looked almost terrified at the idea that their might be a chance that jaune could leave them.

"Why would the mistral council send a huntsmen to vale to deal with one of our criminals? It doesn't make any sense" the heiress asked. The elder man was quite for a moment, silently contemplating something before coming to a decision "my mission is classified but seeing as one of your teammates is endangering herself without being fully aware of who this person is...well I feel malcolm would be angry if I didn't say something".

Pyrrha's body stiffened at the mention of her father's name "what does my dad have to do with any of this"? Alec's expression turned serious "this man that I've been hunting is responsible for the murder of your father". Ruby gasped and the rest of the girls looked towards their leader to see her eyes were wide in shock.

Alec looked around as he heard foot steps coming from down the hall. He turned to the four girls "we can't talk out here in the open, follow me and I'll fill you in as we go". The girls followed after the alec but continued to keep their guard up as he led them through the halls and out a door that led to a empty garage.

"Okay we should be safe for now" he said before turning to the team of young women. Pyrrha bit her bottom lip as she played his words over in her mind. Alec for his part waited for the inevitable question to be asked.

"My father died in a fire. That's what we were told by the doctors" pyrrha said weakly.

"Officially that's what you were supposed to be told to keep you safe just in case you got any ideas of getting revenge. What you weren't told was that the doctors actually found a knife wound in your fathers neck which we now know was what caused his death".

Pyrrha felt sick to her stomach all of a sudden, so she hunched over before slowly breathing in and out. The rest of her team watched her to make sure she was ok. She stood back up and faced the elder man once more "have you been hunting this man ever since then"?

Alec nodded "I was brought in by the council to help catch that man when we discovered his identity".

Pyrrha eyes narrowed "you know who he is"?! The elder man shook his head "your father was the one who actually discovered that man's true identity. Unfortunately he got to your father before we could find out who he was".

Ruby placed a hand on pyrrha's shoulder to give her some emotional support. The red heads hands clenched into fists before she let out a frustrated sigh "this is a lot to wrap my head around" she said after a moment to collect herself. Alec nodded "I can only imagine what your going through but I must ask that you do not interfere in this matter".

Pyrrha nodded slowly "if I might ask, what's this man look like now...just in case". Alec met her gaze before letting out a sigh of his own "he's been seen wearing a red helmet over his head, more then that I cannot say since I've yet to meet him face to face". Pyrrha committed the description to memory just in case she ever met this man.

Alec placed his hand on the door knob "I should be moving on for now but I must ask that everything that was said here be kept a secret. If word got out it could jeopardize my entire operation and blow my cover".

Weiss was the first to agree before the rest nodded along. When alec was about to leave out the door ruby called out to him "wait" she said hurriedly. The elder man looked back to see the small girl nervously playing with her fingers for a second before she found her courage to ask her question. "Ar-are you related to my dad"?

Alec smiled warmly at the small girl before turning to face her completely "my true name is classified because of the work I do for a living but just this once I'll introduce myself formally". The elder man placed a fist over his heart and bowed slightly while still keeping his eyes on them "my name is squall branwen and I'm your father-" his eyes turned to yang"-and mother's uncle by blood". It felt like the thousandth time that another bomb was dropped onto their lives in a matter of minutes.

"But mom and dad never told us we had any other family members around besides each other" ruby said as she motioned to her cousin. Alec chuckled lightly "my life as squall is practically no more because of my work, it's why even if you looked up my name now you'll never find anything on me". Weiss's eyes widened as a thought came to her mind "I've heard from my sister of such people before, people who've had to give up there lives to protect family from unsavory individuals and organizations".

Squall nodded "your sister is well informed, not surprising from a specialist of her caliber". Weiss preened a little to hear someone think so highly of her sister. "So we can't tell anyone we met you" ruby asked and the elder man nodded.

"I'm sorry but this is for the best for everyone including jaune as well. I hope you can understand" he said apologetically. It felt wrong but ruby could understand the need to protect the family you cared for so she'd keep this secret if needed.

When all was said and done squall took hold of the door knob and twisted it before looking back to the one final time "take care huntresses". Those final words were all they heard before the elder branwen vanished through the door. Silence reigned until yang broke it with a simple question "what do we do now"?

Pyrrha put her inner turmoil on hold to deal with her team "we do what we came here for, that hasn't changed. Remember we are here for the white fang, everything else is secondary". The team readied their weapons to go on the offensive "let's move out" pyrrha order.

Alec strode down the hallway with a wide smile on his face as he thought back on the conversation he had with those children from Beacon. It was almost too easy to get them on his side, and to aim them at their own friend without them knowing was masterful in itself. The elder branwen pulled out his scroll and typed that there was a change in plans and to retreat for now.

It was a shame, he'd set things up so he could meet with his young pupil once more only to have it dashed in favor of a new and better plan. "Still, having so many pieces fall into my hand, I can't help but think this is fate at work". Alec opened a door that led outside and away from the abandoned building when neo's semblance shattered and revealed her by his side.

The tiny girl poked his arm before holding out a hand to demand why they were leaving. Alec ignore her and continue walking until they were a good distance away from the abandoned building before turning around. "Now we wait for the real fun to start" he said to neo. "And time for jaune to learned the price of betrayal" he thought to himself.

Damn squall and his bullshit. Just in case you don't know, this is gonna be a two part chapter. And at least we get to see who taught cinder how to come up with her nefarious plans MWAHAHAHA (COUGH) man that's tough on the throat. FYI I did actual laugh when i wrote this part.
