Closer and closer to that ending. (sigh) Just thinking about it is kinda making me sad. On a side note "HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE"!

Arrival on the second ship went as smoothly as expected - if you expected getting shot out of the air that is. White fang grunts had taken over the landing platform to prevent any reinforcements from atlas, but the arrival of a few rocket lockers caught them off guard at first. "SHOOT THEM DOWN" A fox faunus commanded. The grunts did as commanded and opened fired with everything they had to bring down the lockers.

Suns locker received the most damage so he was forced to jump off it before it exploded and sent him falling back to remnant. Just as he did the locker exploded and he extended his arm as far as he could to reach the edge of the platform. He caught the edge but just barely and dangled on the edge for dear life. When sun looked up it was to see several assault rifles aimed down at him and several white fang grunts smirking.

"Hey guys, I don't suppose we can talk about this"?

The grunts began to smile viciously at their helpless prey.

"I thought not, well then no hard feelings I guess". As soon as sun finished, Sage dropped down and with a grunt he slammed his sword into the ship creating a green shockwave that pushed the grunts over the edge. Sun looked down and watched the grunts fall before yelling "NO HARD FEELINGS "! Of course none of the grunts had time to answer what with them falling to their deaths and all. Sage grabbed hold of Suns wrist and easily pulled him up while the rest of their team worked as a distraction for the two.

Sun slapped the back of his hand against Sage's chest with a wide grin "thanks". Sage grunted a reply before following his team leader into battle along side the rest of their team.

The Fox faunus watched the team of huntsmen in training rip through his forces with ease and decided he'd need to retreat and regroup with his brother. One of the grunts grabbed his arm before he could escape and asked desperately what they should do? The fox faunus placed a hand on the grunts shoulder and looked passed the mask and into his eyes with clear resolve "hold the line brother for I shall return with more troops". The fox faunus looked back to the battle happening on the platform before looking back to the grunt "we're going to need them".

The grunt nodded and let the fox faunus through as he turned to help his fellow faunus against the huntsmen in training. Inside the ship the fox faunus ran as fast as his legs could carry him until he reached the squad being led by his brother. A grunt noticed the fox faunus approaching first and turned to his commander "master Corsac look" he said as he pointed towards the fox faunus.

Corsac turned and saw his brother Fennec come to a stop and motioned for him to come over. "Fennec why aren't you at your post" Corsac asked when he reached his brother. Fennec took a moment to catch his breath before answering "a team of huntsmen arrived and subdued most of our comrades, I was barely able to get away so I could warn you. We have to escape or we'll be caught in a pincer attack which could bring about the end of the fang if we're captured". Corsac looked conflicted but decided to trust his brother none the less "there are some bullheads in the lower hangers we came across earlier, we can escape with those".

Corsac moved over to one of his grunts and whispered something Fennec couldn't here before returning to his brother "let's go". Fennec nodded before following his brother. The two ran through the ship until they reached a lower hanger that had several atlesian bullheads and a few of their mantas. "We should take the mantas, it'd be good to at least to come back with some of atlas's tech so we can reverse engineer it" Fennec pointed out. Corsac saw no reason to disagree and the two Albain brothers escaped the battle, leaving their faunus comrades to be dealt with by the remaining atlesian soldiers and the huntsmen in training.

Vale

Adam looked down at his scroll and smiled when he received the news that Corsac and Fennec abandoned the mission. It was what he anticipated when he sent those two to oversee the capture of one of Atlas's airships. He knew they'd prioritize their lives over the others, and by abandoning their people they gave Adam the evidence to overthrow them when the new kingdom gets established.

After all it is a kingdom, and what king shares equal powers with incompetent fools like them.

Adams fingers skimmed across his scroll as he typed out a message for a certain grunt he granted a special mission. Once the message was fully typed out he clicked the send button and waited for their reply patiently. It didn't take long for the reply to come through and when it did all he could do was smile at the news.

Before the attack

Rifle loaded, knife strapped, spare ammo checked. Good. The wolf faunus put his mask on and let out a sigh. After his last blunder in the abandoned building where they were recruiting new people, he needed to do better. With the attack happening today he needed to prove he could get things done, not just to the white fang but to himself as well. The wolf faunus followed after several other recruits to the bullheads just as planned when a hand landed on his shoulder and stopped him before he could board.

The grunt looked back to see who had stopped him only to go ramrod straight when he saw the red hair and bull horns of their current leader. "Sir" the grunt turned quickly and greeted the bull faunus "was there something you needed from me"?

Adam reached behind his back and held out a medium size bag with a long strap on top of it, like a laptop bag. "As a matter of fact there is. In this bag contains a dust bomb with enough explosive power to level a city block" he said casually as he pushed the bag into the grunts hands. "I need you to deliver this to the power core in the atlesian airship you'll be heading to".

The grunt looked down at the very dangerous explosive in his hands and asked the simplest question he could, "why"?

A frown over took Adams face "are you questioning my orders"? The grunt quickly shook his head in fear "no not at all sir, I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything else you wanted me to do after". The excuse came quickly and luckily it seemed to be enough to calm the bull faunus. Adam turned away but didn't leave, instead he spoke with his back to the wolf faunus. "That bomb will be used as a deterrent should enemy reinforcements attack while your trying to take over the airship. Inside the bag along with the bomb is the detonator, if the worse should happen use it as a bargaining chip to stop the enemy".

The wolf faunus nodded "should I inform the Albain brothers"? Adam shook his head "this is your mission and your mission alone. The less who know about this the less likely it will be discovered by our enemies". Adam looked back at the wolf faunus "Expect a decent promotion once this is all over" he said before walking away. The wolf faunus smiled brightly "thank you sir" he said before lifting the strap over his head to secure it to his person.

Present time

The mission has been completed sir. I'll be heading back to my unit to continue the assault.

A sinister smile spread over Adams features as he read the message. Everything was finally in place and now there was only one thing left to do. Adam held up a secondary remote detonator and gently rubbed the red button with his thumb. "With your noble sacrifice the faunus kingdom will be born over the ashes and my ascension as the one true ruler will go down in history as the turning point, where faunus dominated those worthless humans". Adams thumb pushed down on the red button and the sound heard in the distance drowned out all the gun fire and fighting happening in the streets of vale.

The airship floating above Beacon exploded violently from the center of the ship and sent debris falling like meteorites. Giant chunks of metal and fire rained down and smashed into the walls of the academy. Some of the students in the wrong place at the wrong time were crushed while others were severely injured for just being too close when the debris landed.

The only words that described what was happening before them was a "nightmare scenario".

But for Adam it was just a stepping stone.

The bull faunus tossed the detonator away and rejoined his troops, watching their assault on the Club which held the leader of the gang that had been giving him so much trouble since he'd come to vale. This too had been a part of their plan. With their constant fighting it became clear that it would take far too long to take over the city the normal way so Cinder came up with an alternative idea. By pulling the white fang back and sacrificing the territory they had to the gang, they were almost guaranteed that the enemy would end up spreading themselves thin to reclaim what was once theirs.

Naturally that would seem like a bad plan since even when thinned out Juniors gang knew vale better then he, but when you added their other plan to blow a hole in the center of vale for the grimm and then cut communications, well...you were left with an enemy that was scattered and unable to do anything. Even with the gangs knowledge of the city, they would be reduced to small pockets of resistance that would be easily crushed by their superior fire power. Once that was done, Adams men would continue to close in on their location until finally the club was surrounded on all sides.

After that it would only be a matter of time till they wiped them out.

Adam drew his katana and deflected a few stray bullets - not because he was in danger of getting hit but because he had begun to store the energy each bullet granted him. The bull faunus knew it was just a matter of time, and with each stray bullet that time was drawing ever nearer.

Time spent storing up energy was time that the enemy could use to plan and prepare for them. Adam would have believed that if they knew of his semblance, but with the way they fired off in his direction it was clear Blake hadn't informed them. Maybe she had forgotten or perhaps she knew that they'd still die regardless of the information if they ever met him.

In the end it didn't even matter because right here and right now he would show them just what kind of power he possessed. Adam jumped behind cover and motioned for his lieutenant. Banesaw rushed over as fast as he could and leaned over to listen to his orders. The orders were simple, have a few grunts throw some dust grenades to get the people in the club to stop firing so he could have a few seconds to deliver the final blow. Banesaw followed his orders and passed the message along to the grunts while Adam prepared himself mentally.

The grunts received their orders and did as instructed, each tossing out one dust grenade and waiting for them to go off. Once Adam heard the explosions going off he jumped out from behind an abandoned car and used the smoke from the grenades as cover to get close enough to the club to strike. With his hand on the hilt of wilt, Adam focused the power of his semblance on his sword before drawing it from blush to unleash a devastating blast. The clubs wall stood no chance and was instantly wiped away leaving those inside either dead or completely confused about what just happened.

Adam smiled viciously before pointing his sword at the club, "ATTACK" he ordered his men. The bull faunus expected them to comply immediately but what he got instead was an explosion from behind and the cries of his men as they were sent flying from a rocket launcher held by the Xiong families boss. Adam couldn't believe that Hei Xiong had out maneuvered him, but the real question was how had he gotten behind them when Adam was all but certain that the gang leader was trapped inside with the rest of his men.

No, in the end it didn't really matter where the human was so long as he was cut down in the end. Adam charged forward, hand on his sword and ready to draw as soon as he was close enough.

"LADYBUG"!

Rose petals danced in the air in front of him before a small girl appeared with a large scythe swinging towards his face. Adam drew his sword and blocked the attack when someone else appeared behind him and slashed a line in his back. The bull faunus pushed the small girl away and jumped away before his second attacker could land another blow.

After putting enough distance between them, Adam finally got to see who had attacked him from behind and was met by two cat like eyes. "Blake" he growled. The cat faunus pointed gambol shroud at the bull faunus, "it's over Adam, your out numbered".

Adam sheathed his sword and grinned, "I may be out numbered but quality over quantity". His eyes moved behind his mask until the small girl in red was in his sights, "unless you think that girl can somehow close the gap in our abilities"?

"Not just her, but with the others I brought as well". The second Blake finished three other girls appeared next to her from the same alley the bartender came from. All of them sporting bright and unique armor meant to capture the attention of those around them. Adam huffed "are they supposed to impress me"?

Pyrrha, Weiss, Yang and Ruby held their weapons at the ready as Blake smiled "you tell me"? The bull faunus frowned, he couldn't allow himself to lose here, and running away was not an option after all he'd done to get this far. The ear piece in his ear beeped a second later and Adam couldn't help the laughter that overcame him.

Yang kept her eyes on the target but spoke loud enough so the rest of her friends could hear her. "The bad guy laughing is definitely a bad thing right"? Blake gritted her teeth "he must have something planned, don't let your guard down".

Adam regained his composer in time for Banesaw to join him at his side. "You know this sort of problem has happened plenty of times since your boy toy showed up in my life" Adam said calmly. "I work my ass off to create a better future for our kind and right when I'm close enough to make a great leap for our dream, he appears to ruin everything. Every time without fail. Because I anticipated something like this happening again I've prepared a little gift, just in case".

Blake's ear twitched, she heard it before it happened, the sound of marching feet and then the streets started filling up with members of the white fang as far as the eyes could see.

A bead of sweat slid down Yangs face as she looked around at all the faunus closing in around them, "this looks bad" she whispered. Junior and the twins closed ranks with the huntresses and stood back to back, "looks like my boy's couldn't hold out long, damn".

Adam held one hand up to stop his men from attacking before taking off his mask and meeting Blake's eyes. "Blake it's not too late to do the right thing, join us and help us usher in a new era for our brothers and sisters". Blake glared at the bull faunus "and what pray tell would I have to do to be a part of this new era"? Adam smiled warmly as he spoke "simple, you just have to bring me the heads of your friends to prove yourself".

The mask in Adams hand exploded as a bullet from gambol shroud tore through it. Adam let out a small sigh, "fine" his hand dropped "kill them". Blake and the rest prepared their weapons as the horde of white fang grunts charged them. The group of huntresses spread out just enough to give them space to use their weapons without worry of hitting their comrades or worse getting caught on something while they fought. In terms of combat capability the huntresses had it in spades, but when it came to overwhelming numbers of fighters the fang had them beat.

Bodies of faunus's were sent flying one after another but with each one taken out, five more took their place. Weiss created glyphs that fired off numerous ice blasts into the endless crowd in front of her to the point that she hadn't noticed how quickly she had used up all the dust she had on her. When she created a new glyph nothing came out and her eyes widened when a faunus got close enough to strike at her with his melee weapon. The heiress parried the attack with Myrtenaster and created a black glyph with her left hand to send the faunus flying backwards into his friends.

Yang uppercutted a grunt with her left before delivering a chopping right to the faunus's face, sending him bouncing away like a ball. When two more tried to run in they were sent flying back when Ember Celica fired off two shotgun blasts, one for each. "Damn it Blake, next time you get a scroll call near what feels like the end of the world how about you answer it when we have more people who could help us out"!

Blake slashed through a faunus's mid section and pushed him back with her foot when he doubled over. She then jumped to the left when a grunt tried to tackle her and left him to fall on the ground while she dealt with the one that came in with a baseball bat, aiming to send her head flying. Blake jumped up and over his swing and stepped on the grunts face with her foot, digging the sharp part of her heel into his eye socket. "Sure yang I'll keep that in mind when we don't know when help is even arriving" the cat faunus yelled back as she jumped off the man's face, leaving him to scream in agony on the ground with blood gushing from his now missing eye.

Yang shrugged "how did you even receive Juniors call anyway? I've been trying to call Beacon since this whole thing started".

Giving out that kinda info would be bad if anyone but them knew about the back door into the C.C.T network, "maybe I just had a better connection then you" Blake answered. It was a lame excuse and she knew everyone else could definitely see passed it, thankfully they didn't have time to question her about it.

While then fighting continued, the leader of the white fang stepped back amidst his followers to take in the situation. Even with so many of his followers charging in the huntresses were still moping the floor with them all. Watching the battle from the back line allowed Adam to see the problems in his warriors tactics, especially the fact that because so many were charging in recklessly the others with firearms couldn't fire without potentially hitting some of their own people. That handicap forced the men and woman of the white fang to attack at close range regardless of their weapon choices.

Adam watched a female deer faunus charge the blonde with the gauntlets, only to have the rifle in her hands be downgraded to nothing more then a club for fear of hurting her own side. The blonde huntress dodged to the right and countered with a left hook that shattered the white fang mask and effectively removed one more combatant from the field as she was bodily thrown away with one attack. Another grunt went to run passed Adam but was stopped when the bull faunus grabbed him by his collar and pulled him back to meet his eyes.

"Your jacket and mask, hand them over".

It wasn't a request but an order, one the grunt was quick to follow to the letter. Adam removed his jacket and switched with the grunt before putting the new mask on his face. With the new gear on Adam knew Blake would have a hard time locating him even though she was trying her best to keep him in her sights at all times. The bull faunus disappeared before she could track him and took note of potential targets to weaken their formation. When one was decided on, Adam passed the plan on to his right hand man.

Banesaw moved in to attack the most obvious target, the schnee. The attack of one of the white fangs lieutenants on Weiss didn't go unnoticed by Blake so she gave Ruby orders to go and provide backup. Ruby nodded and disappeared a moment later in a burst of rose petals. Weiss dodged a wide swing from Banesaw before ruby appeared and double kicked the large faunus in the face. The white fang lieutenant tanked the hit and saw the opening that Adam was aiming for and grabbed the small girl by her ankle and tossed her away from the rest of her friends.

"RUBY" Weiss yelled and made to follow after the small girl in red, only for Banesaw to spin around and back hand the heiress the moment she dropped her guard with the flat side of his chainsaw. The heiress flew backwards and crashed into Blake causing their formation to crumble quickly leaving Yang, Pyrrha, Junior and the twins to fight off the approaching faunus's.

Ruby flew away from her friends but used her scythe to safely land by firing off a single shot that helped her arrange her body so she landed on her feet. The second her feet touched the floor a few faunus's rushed for her but were easily dispatched with a quick swing from her crescent rose. The five faunus that attacked were sent fly, or at least that's what she hoped for but one of the grunts seemed more skilled then the others and quickly ducked under her attack.

Ruby dance with her scythe with the hope of getting rid of the faunus as quickly as possible so she could return to her friends. Each swing ended with a miss and the faunus moved in with speed that not only matched Ruby's but also surpassed her in the flow of his attacks. The hooded faunus used his swords pummel to hit the side of Ruby's scythe to change it's trajectory so that it flew upward, but Ruby continued the swing to strike once more from the right. Ruby's scythe cut air as the hooded faunus flipped over her weapon and landed on his feet with the ease Ruby had come to expect from her father or Blake. Before she could mount a defense the hooded faunus delivered a punishing heel kick to the side of the small girls face.

Ruby slide on the ground but remained standing and aimed her crescent rose at the hooded faunus. The hooded faunus pulled back the hood to reveal red hair and two bull horns, along with a very sinister smile. "Would you look at that, just us two alone to get acquainted with one another" the bull faunus said happily.

Ruby frowned at the faunus "somehow I don't believe I had a choice".

Adams smile grew "no, you didn't" he confirmed.

Ruby knew a little about the bull faunus from newspaper reports and what little Blake told her on the way over here. She knew he was dangerous and that fighting him one on one was almost suicidal but even still she had to try and stop him somehow. "Why are you doing this"?! she asked in the hopes he would answer. Adam seemed taken aback by the question so Ruby pushed on. "Blake said your were trying to make people see that the faunus were equal to humans but how is all this death and destruction helping that cause at all"!

Adam pulled his sword free from it's sheathe and aimed it at the small girl, "I don't see how telling you would matter any since you'll be dead in a few minutes anyway".

"But" Ruby tried but Adam would hear none of it and rushed towards the small girl. Ruby knew that there was no use trying to talk to the faunus but even still she had to try and do her best for the way she believed she needed to live her life. Saving people was what she was meant to do even if that meant saving people from themselves. With that decision hardened in her heart, Ruby raced forward with her beloved crescent rose and clashed against the hate filled faunus in what would be their first and last fight against one another.
