It was noon of my second day in Fiore—or should I say Ishgar? Maybe Earthland?—and I finally had a safe moment to myself. After the bombshell that was dropped on me last night, I decided to try and sleep instead of continuing the conversation.

When I said that to Master Bob, he nodded and led me to a room near the back of the guildhall. I was surprised to find that past the doors near the edges of the bar room, it was a normal-looking lounge area.

Master Bob explained that, while Blue Pegasus was technically a host club, the host part of it was purely accidental. It started life as a jazz club, where citizens could go and absorb the atmosphere. Somehow, in the three years, it had been since the founding of Blue Pegasus, it turned into a bar that offered hosts. Most members of Blue Pegasus actually hung around here in the back, not becoming hosts.

I was then led to a hallway with a series of rooms that were apparently all guest rooms. I was told that when new members join, oftentimes they don't have the money to pay for apartments or houses in town, so they're given free housing until they can get on their feet.

It made sense, I supposed. Independent Wizards never seemed to get many jobs in the series, so it wasn't likely that they had a steady income.

Master Bob opened the door at the end of the hall, closest to his office so he said, and told me this would be my room as long as I was here. He gave me some very comfortable blue pajamas, showed me the bathroom that my room had, and then left.

It gave me the chance to shower before I laid down in bed to drift off into slumber. Unfortunately, my mind was racing, and I couldn't get my thoughts away from Mars and Jupiter playing in the sky. It only got worse when the Moon finally rose to meet them. It all resulted in me not getting to sleep until the Sun started peeking over the horizon. Eventually, though, I finally managed to drift off.

Now that I had gotten some sleep, cleaned myself, and the feeling of the planets and Moon was somewhat drowned out by the overwhelming power of the Sun, I was finally able to sit down and unpack… well, everything.

My first port of call was, how the hell did I even get here in the first place?

I remember the falling, then the pain, Hydrus, and then a feeling of weightlessness that I assumed was the feeling of death. At least, that's what I remember thinking, but I wasn't fully coherent by that point. I just remember feeling upset and regretful, and that feeling marked the end. Then, I woke up in, what did Ichiya call it? Constance Forest? Not a name I was familiar with from watching the show, but then Blue Pegasus wasn't really shown a whole lot.

The second pressing issue was how I ended up in this body.

On the surface, it seems to be the same question as the first, but it was different in a few key aspects. The first being, that it definitely wasn't my original body, and second was that it was eight years old. Shouldn't I have reincarnated into a newborn baby or something? This body also seemed to have lived a life before me, which made me feel guilty.

Did I fuck something up, and force this Eris girl out of her body? That's just like me to be this much of a failure. Does this make me a parasite? Oh god, I'm totally like that one fungus that infects ants and controls them, aren't I?

This body- Eris' body, seemed to have knowledge that I didn't, which was weird. I could only sort of access her memories. It was what I spent all of last night trying to do. It felt like the memories were water. There, but impossible to hold onto. I did manage to glean a few things from them though.

The girl's name is Eris Actaea, an orphan that lived in Bluebell, the name of this town. She always looked up to Blue Pegasus and wanted to join, however, she figured she didn't have access to magic, so she gave up on that. One day, for reasons I can't discern, she ran away from the orphanage, entered Constance Forest, and laid down, which was where I came in. Anything beyond those facts was out of my grasp.

This all led me to the third major problem. What was I going to do about the future?

It was an indisputable fact that I fucked up this girl's life. Whatever it was that I did make it so she wasn't here anymore. Her life should have been her own, but it wasn't. Wherever she is now, I can't exactly ask her what it is she wanted to do now. The most I could do was work with what limited knowledge I had, and do what she wanted to do originally.

With that thought, I left the guest room I was given and went to find Master Bob.

It was time to join Blue Pegasus.

As I walked into the lounge, I froze when I noticed just how many people there were. Many were chatting while lazing about on the chairs and sofas, while others were playing games at different tables. There were even some playing billiards at a pool table I didn't notice before. There were at least forty people there!

A few people seemed to notice me standing there, seeing as they pierced me with curious stares. Involuntarily, I jumped a bit. The hell, did they practice that? They all turned at like, the exact same time, and since when did Blue Pegasus have this many people?

While I was contemplating this, a tall, voluptuous woman left her seat to walk over to me. She had wavy dark brown hair and a light blue sundress on. "Hello, sweetie." She said to me as I tried to count the number of people. Surely there was a mistake, right? "Might you be Eris-chan?"

"Eh?" I let my meet hers when I heard that. How did this woman know my name?

"Riko, you just freaked her out!" Another woman said as she walked up. This one had black hair and was wearing white shorts and a pink tank top. "Never mind her, hon. She's not the brightest, you see."

"Huh!?" The one named Riko spun to glare at the other woman. "The hell'd you just say about me DeZille!?"

The other woman, named DeZille apparently, shrugged blithely. "I only said the truth."

Riko, hearing this attack on her honor, got right up in DeZille's face. "This coming from the one who's always behind me on Sorcerer Weekly's list."

"What does that have to do with anything, huh!?" DeZille shot back, fully riled up.

Great, is this just a thing every Guild has to deal with? Do they all have their own Natsu and Gray? I sighed and stepped out of hiding. With all eyes in the room now on the quarrel, I could slip through their notice. Hopefully, I could find Master Bob before they tried talking to me again.

Unfortunately I was once again intercepted by someone, this time a man with darker skin, black hair, and sharp eyes. He was wearing a white button-up with slacks. "Ignore those two, they always fight like this." He held out his hand and seemed to sparkle somewhat. Something about him seemed familiar. "The master told us about you, Eris-chan."

"He did?" I probably shouldn't have been surprised, seeing as I was staying in the guildhall and all. "Uh, do you know where he is, Mr.…"

"Ah, forgive me. My name is Jun Akatsuki." Akatsuki? As in Ren Akatsuki? The Tsundere of the Trimens? "Master is currently in his office, at the end of the hall you just came out of." Pushing that revelation out of my mind, for now, I nodded.

"Thanks, Mr. Akatsuki," I called out as I jogged back down the hall. Moving past where my room was, the hall turned into a rather ornate room with a cushy-looking couch and a set of double doors on one side. I assumed that was Master Bob's office, so I walked up and knocked.

"Come on in!" His effeminate voice called, somewhat muffled by the doors.

I did as he said, and headed in. The office itself was simultaneously exactly what I expected, and nothing like it at the same time. The walls were a soothing light pink, while the ceiling was a pastel white. The carpeted floor was dark blue, and there were decorations littering the place. Pedestals with magic items and golden awards lined the side walls, and some pictures were hung up on the back wall. The most prominent of these pictures was the one of Team Makarov marked X736. Right below that picture, close to the wall was Master Bob, sitting at a large desk that had wooden wings carved into it.

"Ah~ Eris-sweetie, you've woken up! How are you?" Master Bob walked through his desk and kneeled down to speak to me.

"I'm good," I said, before hardening my resolve. "Master Bob, I wanna ask you something."

He tilted his head. "What is it?"

Before I had the chance to hesitate, I plowed through and said, "I want to join Blue Pegasus!"

Master Bob didn't seem to expect this, as he took a step back. Or maybe that was because I literally screamed it, who knows. "Come again?"

"I want to join Blue Pegasus," I said again. Time to spin the truth a little more. "I… grew up in an orphanage, and I always looked up to Blue Pegasus. I wanted to join since I first heard if it." Not technically true, but he doesn't need to know that. "I figured I would never be able to though, since I didn't have any magic. But now I do, so please." I bowed to Master Bob. "Please let me join Blue Pegasus!"

The office was silent.

In that silence, I began to doubt. Maybe I should have waited. Does Blue Pegasus even accept young members? My only frame of reference is Fairy Tail, and they're far from normal. Then again, Master Bob was once part of Fairy Tail… Gah! It always comes back to that! I really need to do some research about this world, I can't let the anime dictate everything I do or think!

As I was having this silent crisis, Master Bob was thinking. He had his hand to his chin and was humming up a storm. Eventually, after another minute of dead air, he finally said, "Alright. You can join Blue Pegasus, sweetie."

I gasped, and a smile broke out on my face. "Really!?" I couldn't help but ask.

Master Bob just smiled and nodded.

I couldn't stop myself from running up and hugging him. This was it! I achieved Eris' dream. That was… rather anti-climactic actually.

I figured it would be harder to actually accomplish something like this.

What now?

With a pop, the magic stamp was removed, and I officially had a Blue Pegasus Guild Mark on my right shoulder blade. It was a pale bluish-silver, the same color as the Moon, and coincidentally, my eyes as well.

I was given a handheld mirror, as Riko held up another mirror behind me so I could see the full mark. I moved my shoulder, and the mark- my- no, Eris' Mark moved with it. Due to the tank top I was given, the mark was on full display. Deep in my chest, I felt excitement well up.

"Eris-san!" A voice called to me in concern. I turned and noticed it was Ichiya. "Are you okay?"

Huh? I looked back at the mirror and noticed there were tears falling down my cheeks. I scrubbed my face quickly as my cheeks grew hot. Jeez, how embarrassing, crying front of the whole guild. Indeed, the entire guild, or at least everyone who wasn't out on missions, was watching me get my stamp, and I just cried in front of them. Fantastic.

"I'm fine, just… happy is all," I said. They seemed to take that as their queue, as all at once they began crowding around, congratulating me.

It was all quite scary, to be honest.

"Okay everyone, settle down some." Master Bob called out, and at once they all stepped back and gave me space. Wow, what authority! "Eris-san and I still have some business to take care of. We'll be back in a bit." Master grabbed my hand, and we walked out the door.

"What do we have to go do, Master?"

"I just need to inform Nectar Orphanage that you'll be joining Blue Pegasus, and you need to get your things."

Ah, that made sense. I suppose the orphanage still had guardianship over me. Though, that does make me wonder if they searched for me at all last night.

Something in the back of my mind, or more accurately, in Eris', told me they likely didn't.

The town didn't look that different in the daytime, and it was a rather short walk. There wasn't much of anything to take note of, aside from the townsfolk around. They seemed to either be in awe that they got the chance to see Master Bob out and about, or, likely if they were newer to town, horrified to see someone like Master Bob with an eight-year-old girl. Either way, those reactions got old fast, so I focused on something else.

My magic.

I concentrated and felt the heat resting in me. Now that I knew what my magic was, I could tell it was a bit different from last night. It wasn't any different in nature, it still rested fairly calmly in my gut. However, what was different was its make-up, so to speak.

Last night, my magic felt fluid, like I was dipping my hand into a clear lake. Today, on the other hand, it felt like I was wrapped in a protective blanket, warm and cozy. Both sensations were quite nice.

If I had to assume, I'd say the change is likely because it was night, and now it's day. Before I went to bed last night, Master Bob explained generally what my magic did.

I pull power from the planets of the solar system, the Sun, and the Moon. Out of those, the Sun and Moon are the most powerful, as they have the most effect on the planet. As such, my magic naturally changes to accommodate whichever is the most dominant at the time. There is another outlier among my Planetary Magic.

Terra. Even though my magic is based on the orbital objects that affect the planet, Terra, or Earth, is still one of its aspects. It's apparently quite strong as well, being equatable to Sol or Luna in terms of pure ability.

That was all Master Bob was able to tell me. It was Lost Magic, after all. The spells, abilities, or even what the individual planets do are things I'll have to figure out on my own.

But that was for later, as we had just arrived at Nectar Orphanage.

Master Bob silently walked up the steps, not complaining as I hid behind him. He knocked on the door, and a second later, the matron opened up. A nun named Rose.

"Ah, Master Bob! What brings you here?" She asked politely, though I knew it was a farce. That woman was a strict snake. Though, it did surprise me that she's willing to even interact with Master Bob. If it were my old world, no holy person would even think of making contact with him.

Or maybe I'm biased. Or Eris is biased? Was this my bias or hers? Ours?

Either way, unaware of my questions, Master Bob said, "Ah, well, I'm just here to inform you that Blue Pegasus has decided to take custody of young Eris Actaea here." At that, he pushed me forward some, and I made sure not to look Sister Rose in the eye.

"I see." Sister Rose said carefully. I could feel her scrutinizing gaze on me.

"She even has a Guild Mark! See~" At that, I turned around and showed Sister Rose my mark.

She said nothing as I turned back around.

"Go on and get your stuff, Eris-sweetie." Master Bob looked at Sister Rose. "I'll go ahead and fill out the paperwork."

Quickly, I scrambled up the steps and past Sister Rose, who was staring down Master Bob. There was definitely some tension, so I really didn't want to lag behind.

I scurried through the creaky halls until I found the communal bedroom where my bed was. It's not like I had much to grab, anything nice was taken by the other kids. There was only one exception.

Reaching under the rock-hard pillow, I pulled out a necklace with a bird on it.

A phoenix, to be more precise.

This item wasn't in Eris' memories. As I said, anything nice was taken by the other kids. For some reason, this phoenix necklace only existed within my memories.

It also had the distinct feeling of magic, not that I knew what that felt like. I just knew, somehow.

Yet another problem I would have to solve somehow.

That was for another day though, as today was the day where Eris- where I officially became a member of Blue Pegasus.

It was the start of a brand new adventure!

Maybe it won't be easy, but I can still achieve my dream! For me, and for Hydrus. Even if I don't deserve it, even if it seems impossible, I'll find a way!

This is a world of magic, after all. How hard would it be to get into space?

And there we go! We are done with what I consider to be the introductory arc! Pretty much all the important stuff has been at least hinted at, so if you wanna start theory crafting, now's the time to do so, Also, in case you haven't noticed, I update every Wednesday, so you know when to check back in if you're interested.

That's it for me for this week, see ya!
