Sooo... first of all I'd like to inform you that this story is not yet finished and might not be for some time, but I wanted to get this out of my system... There are going to be some parts of this story that are pretty raw, I don't necessarily mean sexually, but I'll put it this way, I don't want the story to be unrealistic for the characters in many ways though it will in some places.
Also I want to apologize for promising this story and not making good on my word until now, (I hate writers block DX) distraction is my first and last enemy ?
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story...
PS. Please review, it encourages me in my work
"Keep your eyes open we have no idea what they may have in store for us." Charles said advising the team.
They were on a secret mission that they knew nothing about other than that they had to track someone down and bring them back for questioning, if not eliminate them. Wolverine was on the scent tracking their target through a shipyard, he'd tracked him for twelve miles to that place.
"Wolverine, what's your location?" Beast's voice came through his commlink silent enough so only he could hear it. He pushed a button on his watch sending them the location.
Storm flew above in the skies ready for action any second. Logan continued walking around the area searching for any sign of the ones he was tracking. There was no trace of them, it was as if they just vanished into thin air. Logan knew this trick, he'd dealt with it before, he kept his eyes and ears wide open and stayed on his toes. Storm flew down a bit lower, so she could see better whatever would be hiding on the ground or in the water. They investigated more, searching here and there for anything, but there was nothing.
"Seems like they just vanished into thin air." He reported through his communicator.
"Are there any signs of them?" Beast asked back, Logan looked around one more time, scanning the area for anything.
"No, not here…"
"Alright, keep looking for a bit, then return to the institute."
"Copy." He replied, back to him, being that they had searched everywhere, and they didn't know where else to look so they just started their way back.
Ororo flew down to where Logan was picking him up, he shook for a second in shock of the jolt she just gave him. He smiled up at her the next moment, she did the same back to him then rested her chin on the top of his head sweetly. Fog set in as they flew back to the institute. Landing on the grounds the two smiled to each other and started to walk.
"We should fly more often." Logan said next to her, she smiled to him.
"You sure you want to?" She asked looking as if to challenge him.
"If it's with you." She chuckled pulling herself closer to him landing a kiss on his cheek, he smiled, then turned doing the same to her. They walked in, and were greeted by Beast, they reported what they'd found, then were let off. It was late, and everyone was tired, The couple walked down the hall to the kitchen, the adventure had made both of them hungry. Getting there they saw that the fridge was already open, with someone getting food. He turned hearing them.
"Oh, hey Mom, Dad." Evan said smiling to them.
"Hello Evan." Ororo said back to her oldest son.
"Mommy, Daddy!" A little voice squealed happily as a smaller figure ran out from behind the fridge door and up to them, Ororo leaned down picking up the girl.
"Evan says you went on a super-secret mission!" The two looked at each other, then to their son, he gave a guilty smile hoping that he wouldn't get grounded for sharing information with his little sister that was supposed to be a secret.
"Heh, s-sorry she asked, I didn't know what else to tell her." They didn't break their gaze from him, the look on his face turned from a it wasn't me to an am I going to be grounded forever? Expression.
"Yep." Logan said in response to the boy's expression which was about as clear as words to him.
"Hey! No fair…" Evan responded slightly surprised,
"Loose lips sink ships kid… in more ways than one…" Logan said still giving him that look.
"Aw Dad… Mom!" He said in a bit of a whining tone. Ororo thought for a moment then turned back to her husband, knowing what he meant when he said "yep". He turned back to the boy.
"No skateboard for a week." He said bluntly,
"NO SKATEBOARD?! For a whole week!" He looked to his mom in desperation.
"Sorry Evan, you heard your Father."
"Ooh, your in trouble!" Said his little sister looking at him sassily.
"Dad… not my skateboard, please!" Logan didn't flinch,
"Anything else… I'll clean the X-van, I'll do extra training sessions, give up watching tv, anything! Just please don't take my skateboard."
"You'd do extra danger room sessions with me if I let you keep your skateboard?" Evan realized what he'd said, but he was committed now, he nodded shyly the next moment. Logan's expression softened toward his son as he nodded slightly and gave the final verdict.
"One extra training session a day for the next week." Evan wasn't happy with that verdict, but it was better than not having his skateboard, he sighed.
"Alright, thanks Dad."
