The team were taking the kids on an outing, Scott and Jean took a bunch of kids, meanwhile Ororo and Logan took the others.

"Hey Jean, look at this."

Amara pointed out to the older girl, Jean smiled to her as she saw what she was pointing to, it was a pair of earrings along with a necklace that were made to look like fire.

"That's pretty neat, it'd go good with you to."

"Hm-hm, thanks."

"Whoa, that's cool, Hey Evan, check it out!" Sam called,

Evan went to where the other boy was pointing into a store window to see a board with the words "Road-King" on it, his eyes and smile grew in size as he saw it.

"Yo, that's sick!" Evan almost danced a bit in excitement, then immediately went into the store to see how much it was.

Danielle and Kitty were walking ahead of some others browsing in the mall. Roberto and Rahne were talking about what each one of their parents were going to get them for their birthdays.

Rogue and Kurt walked farther behind the others, he looked in some of the windows for something to get Amanda. It was the 3rd of Febuary and some of them were looking for things for the people they loved. Kurt was looking for something special, not just any old thing. Amanda was the most special person to him because she accepted him the way he was, even seeing him in his demonic type form she still wanted him, and she was just a regular human, no powers to speak of.

"Vhat kind of zing do you zink she vould like?" He asked his adopted sister, she raised her eyebrow at him

"What ya askin' me for? I don't know nuttin' about love like you..."

"I don't know, I guess I vas hoping you'd have an idea..." He remarked looking down to the ground.

Rogue continued down the path, seeing a hot topic store she went toward it. Looking to her side where he'd been a moment ago she didn't see him, she turned around, still nothing.

"Kurt?" She called, she went one way and then another, finally she saw him in a Hallmark store.

"What'cha looking at?" She asked going up to him, she had to hold her breath for a second.

It looked like the rose from the "Beauty and The Beast" movie, in the glass top there was a light up rose with a string of lights surrounding it. She looked at the label which said 'Galaxy Rose',

"Wow, that's really pretty." She said, he smiled,

"Yah." He picked up one of the boxes and took it to the front, they both left soon after.

"That was pretty spendy, you want me to spot you on something else?" She asked feeling bad that he probably spent all his money on that one thing.

"If you want." He commented as he held the bag that the box was in close to him,

Jean and Scott walked together behind the others, seeing Kurt with the gift for his girl Jean smiled, she suddenly wondered what Scott had in mind for her for the big day. She knew it was a little selfish to think about herself and not her boyfriend but it was hard not to, and it didn't mean she wasn't thinking of him to, she was just thinking of herself as well.

Remy was walking alongside Bobby and talking to him about winning a certain goth's heart and the steps necessary to do so. Seeing her glance at him for a long second he winked and blew a kiss at her, she frowned and faced forward again.

"Man, if that swamp rat keeps flirtin' with me like that I think I'm gonna be sick." Kurt looked back at him as she said this to see him suddenly laugh with the iceman.

"Zu want me to tell him to buzz off?" He asked looking to her,

"Nah, I'll zap that guy for all he's worth if he tries to come near me... But thanks for the thought."

"No problem sis."

Though it had been a while since they found out about being family she still had to adjust to the thought sometimes, it was a little weird knowing that the ever joyous Kurt Wagner was her little brother, but now that she thought about it she kind of liked the idea.

"Thanks bro." His eyebrows raised a little at the term he didn't think would ever leave her lips, but he smiled a moment later happy to be acknowledged as family.

Tabitha came by her little blue buddy surprising him momentarily.

"Hey, Blue Yonder boy, did you find anything for your girlfriend yet?" She asked suddenly digging into his bag, then pulled out the box.

"Oh wow, that's neat!" She exclaimed happily

"Isn't it, I hope she likes it." He said taking the box back from his friend and putting it back in the bag.

"Like it? Oh she'll love it!" She said smiling,

"You think so?"

"Let me tell you, if she's a regular girl like me or Kitty or Amara she'd fight someone to the death for something like that."

"Really?" He was wide eyed at her statement,

"You bet she would, just wait and see, she'll go wild when she sees it!" That made him blush a bit.

"That girl sure has spunk." Scott said as he walked alongside Jean, she smiled

"She sure does..."

"Hey, I was wondering, do you have any plans this Saturday?" Scott asked her,

"No, not currently... do you?" She responded, his smile turned from genuine to shy,

"Um, well I was thinking, there's this new movie that's coming out, and I was wondering if you'd want to go see it with me."

"I'd love to." She said simply smiling, his smile grew twice in size as he inwardly celebrated his victory

"Yes! I-I mean..." She giggled as he fumbled to correct himself.

"So, it's a date?" She asked, he nodded,

"Y-yes, it's a date." He said trying to sound sure of himself and sounding more like a wannabe noble warrior, then prince charming, which made her chuckle.

Laura was walking through the people, she watched as her friends did their thing. She went up to the food court area where her surrogate parents were. Getting to the floor they were on she walked out of the elevator and after a moment of looking around saw them by the window. Logan spotted her as she approached, Ororo saw her a moment after as well and smiled.

"Hello Laura." Ororo greeted warmly,

"Hey kid." Logan said right after her,

"I told you not to call me that." She said mocking annoyance, it'd been so long since she came to the institute now that she didn't really care anymore if he called her that, she'd actually grown to like it... she didn't let on much about that fact but the ones closest to her knew.

"Want some food kid?" Logan asked, she looked like she was thinking for a moment, then she looked back up to him.

"Maybe..." She said with a sly look on her face, he smiled then reaching for something to his side then pulled it out and handed it to her, she smiled as she realized what it was.

"Thanks dad." She said with a smile, he rested his arms on the table with his forearms crossed so his hands were holding the inside of his elbows.

"Sure thing X." He responded content, they watched her for a moment as she opened her container and started to munch on her food. A moment later Ororo looked to see an H&M store that she hadn't noticed before.

"I am going to look around in H&M if you don't mind." Ororo said getting up to go in.

"Ya want me to go with ya?" Logan asked as he moved to get up with her, she looked at him, eyebrows raised head tilting down in surprise.

"You want to go shopping with me?" She asked unsure of why he was asking this, his expression suddenly looked like he was suddenly caught red-handed doing something he wasn't supposed to.

"Why not, you like looking at things, I might as well be with you and see what you like in there..." She was even more confused now,

"You already know what I like my love, is there something else that you want to see with me?" She asked, he tried to act normal getting up and responding to her, but she knew there was something off about his actions but she played along with him.

"Yeah uhh... I know there was something in there that you like, I just don't know what it is, that's all..." He looked at her knowing that she saw right through his facade, but he was thankful that she didn't say what he knew she was thinking out loud, Laura looked at him strangely, but she didn't say anything.

"Alright then, let's go." The couple went into the clothes shop, he stuck close to her as she looked around, she stopped at one rack looking at some of the clothes. She whispered to him as she looked.

"What is it Logan? It is not usual for you to go shopping with me very often." He let his ego fall for a moment, there was no one around there just then.

"*sigh* I'm... I-I just don't want to be alone right now..." He said shrugging and shoving his hands in his pockets, she shook her head and smiled compassionately at him, she touched his chin softly and turned his head to look at her eye to eye.

"I have never minded your company my husband, I love having you with me." He smiled relieved she wasn't going to push him further on the subject.

It wasn't too long before they were out of there but long enough to where he was relieved to leave, she could sense the stress starting to build just before they left. It wasn't too long before they were all back at the institute having spent a good almost two hours out and about.

Ororo went to their room to put what she bought in its respective places, Logan came along as well. He sat down looking through his phone for a moment just to kill the time, he heard her turn to him then he looked up to see her approaching him, her expression was concerned.

"What is it darlin'?" He asked her, she just sat down next to him then put her hand on his.

"I know that wasn't just because you wanted to shop with me baby." And there went the veil of deceit, poof gone! He sighed then looked up to his wife.

"Truth is... I'm... I'm scared... I'm scared of what could happen to me, I can't just heal from anything anymore Ro, I don't know what to trust and what not to... I was always able to just heal from shit that happened to me, whatever it was, I'd just come back from all that like it was nothing. Now..." He paused to take a breath and prepare himself for his next sentence.

"I can't do that anymore... I'm scared of what could happen Ro, I don't want to leave you and the kids darlin' you're everything to me, and I know that I mean a lot to you to." He suddenly started to become more emotional, something he only did around her, their kids and maybe some of his other special girls, like Kitty and Rogue. Ororo embraced him warm and tight.

"You mean everything to us, you are my everything, if I lost you... I'd lose myself, and probably all hope of ever being the same again." She frowned as she tried to push back inevitable tears, but rain still started to trickle down. They held each other tighter as the thoughts of that came through their minds.

"But you are stronger than that my husband." She ran her hand down his hair and back as she comforted him.

"'You are the strongest most stubborn and bravest man I've ever met. You don't go down easy, there's no way someone could take you out like another human, even without your healing factor." He looked up at her, rare tears running down his face, she leaned in kissing his nose then nuzzled her nose against his, he leaned in a bit more becoming closer to her than you'd think possible, ending the moment with a soft kiss that turned passionate in a second,

"You are not just any Candian my Canuckle-head, you are James Logan Howlett, man and all. The Wolverine, your instincts and feral side, they are all intricate and amazing parts of you that you and all of us are better for." She was cupping his face with both her hands now talking to the most precious person in her life, and for some reason his reaction to it was the most emotional he'd been in a while.

Things just got more heated after that, touching turned to groping, kissing turned even more passionate and just before they delved deeper into their passion...

"Hey Miss Ororo, do you think-" Kitty came into the room (that incidentally wasn't closed) and started but stopped just as soon as she saw what was before her.

The couple were entangled together, Ororo's jacket was discarded on the floor and her shirt was off and her light blue bra was halfway detached at the back, and Logan was shirtless, and his belt was unbuckled, and jeans unbuttoned.

"OH MY GOSH!" She nearly shrieked her hand shooting up to cover her eyes,

"I-I'm so, so sorry, I-I'll come back later." She shot out as she dashed out of the room nearly slamming the door behind her, the two had a look of shock and humor on their faces.

"Umm..." Was all Logan could say,

"Well, that was..." She looked at him wanting to laugh at the hilariousness of what had just happened, the two just looked at each other then couldn't help but burst with laughter, both of them belting out so hard you could probably hear it a couple rooms over.

"Oh my gosh that was good." Logan said wiping a tear from his eye,

"Poor Kitty." Ororo said feeling bad for her but also not being able to hold her laughter either.

"D-did ya see her face?" He asked looking to her, she couldn't help but giggle more at his comment.

"Heh, it was as if she just walked in on her grandparents... hahaha!" He giggled more at the memory, which made her laugh again as well. After a minute they stopped, his midsection was sore from the laughter, he looked surprised suddenly.

"What is it baby?" She asked him,

"I'm sore." He responded confounded putting his hand on the area that was feeling it most, she smiled sympathetically to him, he looked back to her.

"This is part of being normal huh, gettin' sore after just a little bit."

"Yes, unfortunately..." She responded touching his waist right next to that spot. She re-buckled her bra and reached down for her shirt, he frowned as he watched her, then put his hand on hers interrupting her progress.

"What's the matter darlin'?" He asked looking to her concerned.

"Nothing Logan, there is just, much to do... and..."

"And what?" He asked his expression unchanged she thought for a moment then looked at him coming to her conclusion.

"Oh whatever." She said putting her shirt down and jumping back on her husband who caught her and held her close as they delved deeper and deeper into the loins of passion.

I'm really sorry for the long wait, life's been getting more complicated lately and I've been trying to keep up...
