They'd decided to go back to their home as there wasn't really any point in worrying… it just made the possibility of something bad happening more likely to come to pass, Ororo wasn't too sure about that but it did make sense in some ways.

The kids said their goodbyes to their friends and packed their belongings in the back of their cars. Their mom had a blue SUV, and their dad had a silver Hummer, they'd both decided to get bigger vehicles when their family grew to the size it was currently. First the SUV, then the hummer because first of all their dad missed his old Jeep and it had more room than the SUV and it looked badass as well and you know all men need their toys.

On the way back the two youngest Ayotunde and Kendall saw a McDonald's and about raised hell in the car begging their parents to get them something. Of course they won them over being their babies, and even the Wolverine had a hard time saying no to his youngest children. They went to the restaurant and ended up getting something for everyone, Ororo got herself a strawberry milkshake and a double quarter pounder, while Logan got a vanilla shake with a big mac, their kids got an array of things.

It took them about a half hour to get to their home. Getting there the kids got out of the vehicles and got their bags and boxes and took them into the house. Logan took a few of the big ones throwing the bags over his shoulder and held the boxes in his other arm, Ororo got the rest following suit.

Jessie put the bags and boxes down in her room and plopped down on her bed. She was so happy to finally be home in her own space. She picked up her phone, started some of her favorite music, put her phone down, closed her eyes and zoned out.

Evan Put his stuff down in his room, he saw something that was conveniently directly beneath his bed, it was a little bee toy that his little brother Ayo had left behind, it was one of his favorites and he threw a fit when they left without it last time. He went to his little siblings room and put it on the bed then returned to his own room.

He soon smiled as he heard the:

"Buzzy! I missed you!" He said loudly.

Evan then turned his attention back to his own self, he looked up at the ceiling, then the walls, then turned over on his bed, the sounds of the birds and squirrels outside was pleasant, not constant chatter like there was at the school.

Wake up, get ready for school, get some food, then be out the door, then after school, come back, do homework, then a training session, then chill time, dinner, more chill time, and bed time… If they were all lucky their dad would decide not to do that now when they were home… he always found a way to surprise them though so he wasn't sure about that.

Then something crossed his mind. He and his sister overheard a conversation between his parents a few days before this and they weren't sure what to make of it. Their mom wanted him to stop training sessions altogether… it would make sense remembering when he got his ass handed to him on a silver platter that day as they heard after they came home from school. They knew their dad would never really stop training sessions, but just the ones in the danger room for now, until he got his healing back. If he ever got his healing back…

Sometimes the kids wondered if he would get better, their mom acted hopeful, but whenever Jessie saw her smiling and being normal when talking about their dad's situation she was sad, a couple times she almost cried. When her siblings came to comfort her about it she would tell them what she heard and thought about it. Everyone was worried that what she was saying was possibly true, but at the same time were mad at her for even bringing it up…

Later:

They were outside playing, rugby, it was boys vs girls and the girls were lagging behind slightly, that is until Logan was trying to get through to the goal and Ororo jumped on top of him grabbing the ball and refusing to let go, it just turned into a "dog-pile" from then on, with the two youngest leading the charge.

It wasn't long before they heard;

"Hey!" They looked up to see one of their neighbors who was a good friend coming toward them.

"Hello Darien." Ororo greeted him as she untangled herself from her husband and children,

"I see your kids are already finding ways to get into trouble like their parents." He commented and chuckled, Logan attempted to get the kids off him to but they were like opossum kits clinging on his body. At least till he stood to his full height, then Jessie and Evan fell off but the two youngest still stuck like cats on a tree.

"Hey Mr. Heath." Jessie and Evan greeted the man, he smiled and greeted them back,

"I was wondering if you and your kids would be interested in going to the winters end festival with me and my family." Ororo smiled to him.

The Heath family was friendly to them since they moved into the neighborhood, when they found out that they had family and friends that were mutants as well they were more at ease. The couple also knew how it felt to be scorned wherever they went because of their appearance and DNA. Their kids had become fast friends as well.

"What do you think love?" She asked him.

"Heh, sounds fun. Ya gonna win the jackass award like ya did last year?" Logan asked jokingly with a smirk on his face, the other man scoffed and laughed at his comment.

"If I do It'll be the best God-dang stunt yet, and you know it!" He said putting dramatic emphasis on the last part of his statement making the feral mutant laugh.

A couple days later:

They'd decided to take the Heath's up on their offer of going with them to the festival, the older kids had tagged along with their older sister Laura and she decided to take Evan and Jessica to the magic show they wanted to see, meanwhile the two youngest stuck with their parents.

At the magic show the magician had just gotten through with some card tricks and was about to transition to a interactive stunt, and was about to ask for a volunteer. Evan's hand went up, Jessie laughed at him aloud when he didn't get picked.

"Maybe next time little bro." She said patting his head annoyingly he swatted her away, she chuckled slightly at his annoyance, he frowned at her expression.

"I could do twice that good with the cards mon cher." The two turned to see Remy behind them.

"Hey Remy." Greeted Evan seeing him, he nodded smiling back to them.

"Now don' tell me that Remy just snuck up on the two oldest cubs of the Wolverine himself?" He asked them, Laura chuckled looking to them. She'd known he was there since he arrived unlike the two who smirked a little knowing that was exactly what happened.

"Haha, no we were just…" Evan said unsure how to answer that question, but his sister but in.

"Distracted!" Jessie finished for her brother.

"Now you know what your papa would say about that non?" The man said back, Jessie gave him her smart ass look that she had when she was about to pull the asshole card out of her pocket.

"You wouldn't tell him would you…" She said smugly.

He could tell what she was doing and she knew it. When she pulled that card on Remy or Rogue and some of the others they knew exactly what she was doing and just how to counter act it to, so she pulled that move more in fun than anything else. She knew they'd check her and probably tell her parents to and that wouldn't be good for her either.

"It's not Remy's place, don't want yer papa goin' alpha on me again." they smiled at him,

"What about you sis… you gonna tell dad?" Evan asked Laura, she put her lips into a duckbill like position, then shook her head. Which relieved him, a moment later applause rang out and their attention was brought back up front to the magician who was thanking the audience.

"Did you catch what he did?" Evan asked his sister, she shook her head to him and he frowned, Remy sat behind them for the remainder of the show.

The Heath kids had decided to stick with their parents for a while, then about half hour into being there split off into their own group deciding to meet up with the older Howlett kids at the Tasty Freeze that was there.

Dianna took her husbands arm as she walked by his side just as her friend Ororo was doing with her man. They were all walking together down the pathway along with the others around them.

A little while later they walked by the area where they'd set up some amusement park rides, their kids were lined up in front of the twister ride and were waiting their turn. Dianna looked to her husband who knew what she was thinking, she liked going on those rides every now and then.

"Which one would you like my dear?" He asked her, she looked around thinking for a moment, then settled on the Roller coaster, before they went she turned and looked to the other couple.

"You wanna join?" She asked, Ororo shook her head softly to the other woman,

"No thank you, but you two have fun." She said back, the other woman smiled to her.

"Alright." Dianna replied as her and Darien moved up the line.

"Can I go mommy?" Kendall asked looking up to her mother who looked down to her tenderly, knowing the height range was a little taller than she was at the time she knew she had to disappoint her.

"I'm sorry honey, not this time." She could see the disappointment on her daughters face and it made her heart sink, disappointing your children is part of motherhood, but you never get used to the feeling that comes with it.

"But why mommy?" She had tears growing in her eyes,

"You're a little small for that right now spark." Her dad told her,

"But I'm not!" She whined stomping her foot down and frowning,

"You want momma to take you for a spin after?" Her mother asked her, she nodded then wiped a tear from her right eye.

"Hey kiddo, ya wanna go play a game?" Her dad asked her, she nodded looking at him like a sad puppy.

He could never stand that look, one second with that and he was putty in her hands. Her mom loved watching Kendall wrap him around her little finger like this, it was too cute not to love. With the rate they were going she'd never know the big bad Wolverine, just daddy and the beast inside him wouldn't have it any other way.
