Chapter 80
Anyone
Vanna was asleep in bed.
There was just enough movement to wake Vanna.
She noticed Allison was lying next to her.
Vanna's hand went and brushed Allison cheek.
It was so smooth and soft, so perfect….
"Cameron?" Vanna asked somewhat surprised.
Vanna propped herself up to look at Cameron better.
"Yes?" Cameron responded.
Vanna did not say anything.
'Here it comes.' Vanna thought.
Vanna was aware that Cameron was relentless.
"You know why I am here." Cameron spoke again.
Vanna did know. It caused her a certain amount of apprehension.
"Cameron, I know but I don't know. I don't know if any of us are ready for 'this'." Vanna answered. "I don't think you are ready either."
Cameron seemed a little uneasy.
"When will anyone ever be ready?" Cameron asked. "Is anyone ever 'ready'?"
Vanna needed to tread lightly. She did not want to upset Cameron.
"Cameron, John is your husband." Vanna said. "You know I love you and I love John."
Cameron pushed her agenda anyway. There were things she wanted to happen and the girls needed to assist her.
"I do. It is because I love John and I love you that I am here." Cameron said.
Events were different before. Things were different now. Vanna was not comfortable with things this way under these different circumstances.
"Now that you are back, I don't feel comfortable to do 'this'." Vanna said.
It was all a matter of perspective to Cameron. In reality there was no difference.
"But you would have done it if I hadn't come back the day I did?" Cameron asked.
Vanna felt there was justification and logic behind it. There'd also been a lot of 'pressure' from Cameron leading up to that. There were things that Cameron made her promise.
"Yes. I would have." Vanna said. "We were all hurting and we wanted to move ahead with our lives. We wanted to honor our promises to you. We all thought you were - dead. John was so alone, we were so alone. You made us 'promise' to not let John be alone. We were all doing what you asked us to do. It was what you wanted for all of us, we wanted it too."
Cameron saw a bigger picture. There was more at play than a few people or their 'feelings'.
"I still want you and Allison to honor your promises." Cameron said. "Honoring your promises honors me. You MUST honor the future. I will not be here - forever. You must restore the 'Natural Order' of Time. That is Allison and YOU, not me, with John. I am the aberration. I am the 'cancer'. I don't know how to make all of you - UNDERSTAND."
Vanna could feel Cameron's frustration. It bothered her deeply. They'd been over this before, many times.
Allison entered the room. She spotted Cameron and Vanna on the bed. It was an usual place to see Cameron. It immediately peaked her interest.
"Did I miss anything?" Allison asked.
Cameron was pleased that Allison came into the room. She'd heard her outside listening to them speak.
"Not yet." Cameron responded.
Cameron and Vanna both moved over so Allison could fit next to Cameron on her other side.
Cameron now lay between Allison and Vanna.
Vanna would have liked to have Cameron on one side of her and Allison on the other side but this was not about her right now. This was about Cameron and what she 'needed'. It seemed to always cause her a certain amount of grief to dwell on this subject.
Cameron looked first to Allison and then to Vanna.
"You know I love you, Allison, and I love you, Vanna." Cameron said.
Allison was very pleased to hear that. She knew Vanna would be really pleased to hear it. Cameron became very emotional during these times. They both loved Cameron dearly.
"You know it is as we do you, Cameron." Allison said.
Cameron was satisfied with her captive audience. It was time to get her message across and make something happen.
"In the future after Judgment Day, most of the children do not live long after birth. That is the children that can even still be conceived. Most pregnancies do not come to term. Many women die in child birth." Cameron said. "You both know how it is."
Vanna witnessed plenty of that. The more she'd been around it, seemed to make it harder to see again. It never got any easier.
"I have seen it, Cameron. I have witnessed it with my own eyes." Vanna said.
Allison felt very uneasy in her mind to relive those events. Just to think about them now made her feel a little 'sick' inside.
"We both have." Allison said. "I can still hear the cries and see the pain…. It was terrible to see and hear."
Cameron could 'feel' how uneasy Vanna and Allison were right now. She knew they were back in the past - the future. She still needed to get her point across.
"I do not know if we can stop Judgment Day. We have certainly delayed it. We have passed Judgment Day from MY future and from your future." Cameron said.
Allison understood all of that. She was also plagued by her feelings. It seemed to be something they could never make Cameron understand. It seemed Cameron's programming had only evolved so far.
"Cameron, we love you so much and respect you so much. What you are asking us to do with you back is more than our minds can accept. We would feel like we are betraying you." Allison said. "We have feelings and emotions too. We have to live with ourselves…. We were going to do what we promised ONLY because we thought you were - not coming back."
Cameron did not see that as an issue. It was what she wanted. She felt that was what should matter.
"You feel uneasy even if I ask you to do it?" Cameron asked. "What if I asked you to do it for ME? Are you saying you don't want to do this just because you feel guilty?"
Vanna and Allison both felt the same way. They'd even discussed it, many times.
"Yes." Both girls replied at the same time.
Cameron felt more frustration. This was all straight forward and out in the open. Maybe it was time to add some incentive. It was something they'd all thought about anyway. She'd heard the girls 'talk' about it. It was a concept open to her. She was willing to evolve and try new things. This was about protecting John. That was her job.
"It is not behind my back." Cameron said. "It is what I want for John. Would you feel more comfortable if I was there with you? It can be the four of us - together. How could that not make it clear it is acceptable to me? That it is what I want. How do I make you understand that both of you need to replace me? John belongs to you two, not to me."
Vanna and Allison were at a loss for words. They wanted to share with Cameron more than anything. This was not the way they wanted it.
Their apprehension and hesitation was evident to her.
Cameron looked at Vanna. She wanted to make her position clear.
"I will do whatever you want me to do or share however you desire if you do this for me." Cameron said.
Cameron turned to look at Allison.
"I will do anything for either of you or both of you together. We can do everything." Cameron said.
Cameron gently touched each girl's cheek as she spoke to them and looked in their eyes. She was sincere in her proposal.
Vanna looked back at Cameron with tears in her eyes and tears in her heart.
"Please stop, Cameron." Vanna said.
Allison felt the same way. It was their dream but not this way. Not like this.
"Cameron, why is this so important to you to do NOW?" Allison asked.
There were many reasons to Cameron. Maybe she should start with her biggest worry.
"I do not think we can stop Judgment Day." Cameron said.
That was something they'd all fought to prevent.
"We have so far." Allison said.
Cameron looked even more distressed.
"No matter what we smash of Skynet's now, it seems more pop back up." Cameron said. "It keeps growing stronger as we battle it. I am afraid for John's future. I feel my 'time' is running short."
The girls knew what she meant. The wording bothered them greatly.
Cameron looked at both girls.
"It IS running short." Cameron said. "Do you - understand?"
Vanna and Allison were troubled by everything Cameron said.
Cameron started to get up. She stopped and made a point to look at both girls one at a time and together. She was not giving up without a 'fight'. It was time to lay it out.
"Do either or both of you want me to stay? If it makes you more comfortable to share with John, I will share with you." Cameron said. "I will do anything you desire."
Allison and Vanna wanted that dearly. They just did not want their friend and someone they loved to do it this way.
"Cameron, don't do this to yourself. PLEASE." Allison said. "I don't think now is the right time for any of us. We love you and John dearly. Maybe one day it can happen for ALL of us. We have to live with ourselves too."
Vanna wanted to be with Cameron more than anything and she would do anything herself to do it. This was not the way at this time. It was not fair to Cameron.
"She's right, Cameron. Maybe one day we can but not NOW." Vanna added.
Cameron knew what she wanted and what the girls wanted. She wanted to make her position clear.
"Please think about it for me and John as well as yourselves." Cameron said. "I am here for both of you…."
Cameron looked at each of the girls as she stood. She walked to the door and paused as she looked at both of them.
There was a terrible look of sadness on her face.
Cameron left.
Vanna and Allison were both worried to death right now. There was no feeling of joy or elation. There was only the feeling of fear.
"Vanna, what do you think she is trying to do or tell us?" Allison asked.
Both of the girls were very concerned.
"I don't know but it is nothing good for her." Vanna said. "She thinks she will not be 'around' much longer. To replace her means she is going to be 'gone'."
Allison tried to figure this all out.
"I think she is going to try to go back to the future, HER Future." Allison said.
Vanna worried this involved Mrs. Weaver.
"Is it because that is where my 'mother' is at?" Vanna asked. "Cameron thinks she may have to fight her."
That thought crossed Allison's mind along with another far sinister thought.
"I think so." Allison said. "I also fear it is about her 'one wish'."
Vanna took Allison's hand.
"So do I." Vanna said.
They both knew what Cameron's one wish was. It was 'never to have been built'.
"I also think she will not come back on purpose this time." Allison said. "She is trying to replace herself with us for John. It is her goal that we are with John and not her with John. She does not want John to be 'alone'.
It was clear to the girls what Cameron meant.
"She is TELLING us of her 'death'." Vanna said.
The girls were at a loss on what to do, without hurting anyone
Cameron stopped by her room and made herself look Tight. She removed her underwear and put on a very short satin dress, it was blue.
Cameron headed for where she knew Jesse would be.
"Hello, Jesse." Cameron said.
Cameron gave Jesse a friendly touch to her face as she scanned her.
Jesse smiled at her.
"Hello, love." Jesse said. "You look really Tight."
Cameron smiled back.
"Thank you." Cameron said. "Jesse, would you like to go shopping with me or get some food?"
That caught Jesse a little off guard. She was still checking out Cameron in that Hot dress.
"Sure, love. I'd really like that." Jesse said.
Cameron smiled at her again.
"Maybe we can hang out more. We can get to know each other better and bond as friends." Cameron said.
Jesse swallowed hard. She was 'turned on' and a little worried.
Cameron looked into Jesse's eyes as she slowly smoothed her dress over her figure.
Jesse was speechless.
'LOOK at her. How could anyone look Hotter?' Jesse wondered. 'How can she always LOOK this good?'
Jesse wondered if Cameron was 'hitting' on her.
"Maybe we can 'help' each other out." Cameron said.
Jesse wondered where this was going.
"You name it, love." Jesse said.
Cameron felt she hit the target.
"Really?" Cameron asked.
Jesse looked at Cameron in awe.
"Really." Jesse said. "I would do anything for you."
Cameron smiled and sat down next to Jesse. She let her short dress ride high up her thighs. Everything was clearly visible if anyone looked. Jesse looked. She could see that Jesse was visibly excited and terrified at the same time. She decided to knock on Jesse's door. Her hand resting firmly on Jesse's knee as her index finger moving ever so slightly in a circular motion. She could feel Jesse 'shake'. She was not sure if it was with excitement or fear.
Jesse was highly stimulated and frightened at the same time.
Cameron brought a player with her.
'Sundown' by 'Gordon Lightfoot'. Was the song that played.
Cage
The cage holds us
The cage is where we live
No more freedom
Life strained through a sieve
Saved from the wild
Everyday the same
Eat sleep work
Now we are tame
Hands on the bars
We rattle the cage
No one cares
When we cry out in rage
Trapped stuck imprisoned
We know what to expect
Even though a dreary captive
From ourselves the cage does protect
When danger abounds
To the cage we return
Security comfort familiarity
For our Master we yearn
Nobody
