Protection
The moonlight fell upon the cold grounds of the Obelisk Girls Dorms. A small figure of a girl with jet-black hair and light blue bangs was walking slowly across them. The October moonlight fell onto her and she looked behind her after seeing a movement with her amethyst eyes.
"Calm down, Antaria..." she told herself as she trembled. "It was probably a cat."
"Help me..." a voice whispered and Antaria felt goosebumps cover her body. "Please... Child of Purity..."
"W-Who's t-there?" squeaked Antaria, the orange and yellow leaves rustled in the breeze.
"Please... I need... to feed." the girl's voice continued to plead. "Please... forgive me, sister."
"Wha-"
A figure lunged and Antaria saw a girl with chin-length dirt brown hair and wide brown eyes with a blue rim surronding them. Little flecks of amethyst caught the moonlight as fangs appeared from the girl's mouth. Antaria felt the girl grab her and bite into the side of her neck.
"No!" Antaria screamed, she fought off the vampire. "I won't let you!"
Her eyes glowed completly amethyst as she knocked the vampire down. She whiped around and ran towards the safety of the Slifer Dorms at once. The vampire lying on the ground and still pleading. Antaria reached the dorms and pounded on Jalen's door at once. He opened it and she threw herself into his arms, sobbing.
"What's wrong! What happened?" Jalen exclaimed.
"I-I w-was a-attacked!" Antaria sobbed. "B-By a vampire!"
"What!?" Jalen said bewildered, he pulled her into his dorm and quickly shut the door. Sitting Antaria next to him on his bed as he held her and comforted her. "Are you sure, Butterfly?"
"I have the bite marks to prove it!" Antaria cried, she pulled her sweatshirt colar somewhat and revealed where the vampire had attempted to feed on her. "She was pleading and begging me to help her!"
"She? A girl did this?" replied Jalen, twitching at the thought of a female vampire preying on other girls. "Uh..."
"I'm scared..." Antaria whispered. The tearstreaks still on her face, she held onto Jalen tighter. "Please... don't leave me... don't let her get me..."
"I won't..." Jalen whispered, he felt her breathing become normal. "I will protect you..."
"My Knight... coming to my protection..." Antaria said, her eyes felt heavy and hurt from crying.
She stiffled a yawn and smiled as she thought deeply.
"He's so warm... I feel so safe right now... so... safe..." Antaria thought, her mind was filling with fatigue. "Now I'm really sleepy... oh..."
Antaria fell asleep and Jalen smiled softly. She looked so cute and peaceful when she was sleeping. He would hate to wake her. Jalen's golden brown eyes began growing heavier as he forced himself not to fall asleep as well, but he couldn't resist...
