A/N: Hello, people!

I don't own Naruto.

I have no beta.

ENJOY!

CHECK ME OUT ON TUMBLR. HELLY-WATERMELONSMELLINFELLON.

~Apologies for leaving this fic alone for so long. I'd just gotten into MDZS and
ended up obsessed with that fandom. Following that, my family was hit with a
few problems. We all contracted Cov!d. I got it twice. And then we were illegally
evicted and had to deal with court stuff because our ex-landlady was stalking and
threatening us. We have been homeless for months and are barely getting by.

It's a miserable time. This was mostly finished and I had time to look it over so
here it is. I hope it's okay since it was written back in 2020 when I was still hyped
for this fic.

As Yuuki learned immediately, Tsunade was a sort of no-nonsense individual. She wasn't mean but she just liked to get to business and not waste any time. In the medical profession, wasting time could get someone killed, therefore in her mind there was no solid reason to delay the inevitable. Get in, get it done, and then get the hell out of the way.

Shizune held up a sheet of paper that had her stats on it and another with a bunch of words and empty boxes and said, "We'd like to get a full overview of all of your skills. Not just the ones the Academy knew about and their personal observations of you. This will be kept in a special compartment that can only be accessed by Tsunade-sama and I."

Oh. So they knew she'd been holding back a lot. Of course they did. Anyone with half a brain would have been able to notice that. Iruka had especially remained conscious of it as the time passed. Any good teacher would if they knew their student deliberately held back because of financial issues.

"Just check off the things you are reasonably certain you excel in, and add anything you excel in that isn't listed, and then we will test you specifically on those things and give our own observations."

"Even if it's not a shinobi skill?" she asked, just for clarification.

Tsunade interrupted then, looking dead serious as she said, "Anything can be made a shinobi skill if it can be used to save your life or complete a mission, kid." And she had a good point too. As one of the Sannin, she better damn well know what she was talking about.

What Yuuki's List Consisted Of:

Blackmail, Observation & Deduction, Chakra Control, Shape Manipulation, Katon Bunshin, Leaf Bunshin, Budgeting, Gardening, Cooking, Swimming, Tree and Water Hand-Walking, Sewing, Knitting, Bukijutsu, Lying, KSL, Morse Code, and Acting.

There was a moment of silence as they perused the list together, before Tsunade quirked a brow in her direction and asked, "Blackmail huh? Where'd you get experience in that?"

So did she tell the woman about her weird dreams that taught her how to play people into the places she wanted them to go in order to get her way, or did she just smile and shrug it off?

It was an obvious answer. She gave a fake smile, trying to channel Hinata's adorable energy in some way though she probably failed.

"Eh, you know. Kids can get up to the darndest things. Anything can happen when adults don't really take you seriously and don't watch their mouths because they think you're too stupid to understand what's going on, or that you're most likely just sleeping because you're just too lazy to care about anything but food and sleep."

Since it was all very true, it wasn't as if she was lying or anything. She just didn't answer with her personal reason for having blackmail experience.

Yuuki's face was a mask of innocence and cheer, her smile so fake it hurt her cheeks. Tsunade looked amused while Shizune seemed mildly mortified. Whatever had flitted through her mind had definitely scared her a bit. While curious, Yuuki didn't bother asking about it.

Threatening to ruin an asshole's reputation(as it was the thing the woman cared the most about) was pretty light in terms of blackmail. She could have held her up for all of her money or threatened physical violence. Yuuki had been very lenient in her personal opinion. Especially since she'd wanted to do a lot worse but had to think about the well-being of the many over her personal desire for revenge.

Maturing and growing up was realizing when it was right to act, and when it was right to stay silent.

"Excluding anything requiring intense physical activity, your skill set is more built around being in one place. In this profession you're going to either be standing a lot or sitting a lot, but it will all be in one place. You shouldn't take too long to get used to that."

Pretty easy to be honest. She was perfectly fine with not having to move around a lot. Excessive exercise really wasn't her forte. It was boring and not very fun if Naruto wasn't involved to get creative with it.

"You'll have to familiarize yourself with being hunched over often and we'll teach you specific stretches to keep your body from locking up on you. They'll also reduce the need for a chiropractor."

Cool. The fact that they even thought of that was impressive. She wondered if Tsunade was the one to come up with that idea, seeing as she was the medical genius of the village.

"Do you think you're ready to begin your lessons today?" asked Shizune. "We could always wait until tomorrow if you need time to catch up with the sudden changes to routine."

"Nah, I'm good," she shrugged. "I'm not tired and if I have nothing to do while not being tired, I will lose my mind." Better to at least be busy or she'd probably go crazy and find something to do. Something that didn't have supervision. Something that would probably make her friends panic.

And that was how her work at the hospital well and truly began. And yet it couldn't really begin until...

"So how was it?"

Shikamaru hummed as he moved a piece on the board. "Yuuki's predictions for the clan teams came true. Naruto got Sasuke and Sakura, Hinata got Shino and Kiba, and I got Ino and Choji."

"And where was Yuuki-chan placed?" his mother asked from the door. She was busy drying her hands off on a dish towel while trying - and failing - to not look too invested in his response.

That was the shocker in the situation. The thing none of them had expected. "She was Apprenticed to someone," he revealed. "A woman came before lunch rolled around and took her away. I don't know who it was."

Shikaku, who didn't even look away from the board, asked, "Did she give a name?"

"Kato Shizune."

Both of his parents blinked in shock, giving him their undivided attention. Yoshino was especially impressed with the news judging by her raised brows. "Shizune-chan was Tsunade-hime's Apprentice. She's also the niece of the man whom the Kato Foundation was named after. If Yuuki-chan has been lumped in with them, then she'll end up doing a lot of hospital-related business and might end up working more closely with the Nara Clan in the future." She sounded very smug about that?

So Yuuki's prediction over Iryo Ninjutsu being the best option for her had been spot on as well.

Shikaku sent his son a very telling look that had him sitting up straighter. "Whatever you do, watch yourself. Yuuki-chan seems very mellow and unlikely to lose her temper, but to get Shizune means to get Tsuande-hime by extension and she is the best medic in the world because she is the one to write the code that every medic follows, in every shinobi nation.

"Tsunade-hime is the only Iryo-Nin allowed to do battle because she mastered her own code of conduct. She is the only one to master the last rule in the code and as such can fight and ignore the first four rules. And her style is augmenting her natural strength with chakra in any part of her body, and leaving devastating damage behind. I saw her flatten an entire castle once. There is no doubt in my mind that Yuuki-chan, with her leanings toward such a fighting style already, will be taught this."

Which meant that if someone pushed her to the point of being violent, she could probably destroy them and Shikamaru should be careful.

Great. Just what he wanted, something else to worry about.

"So she's going to be fine with them?" he asked.

His parents smirked at each other before nodding. "Yes, I think she'll get along with them swimmingly," said Yoshino. "They won't let her laze around either."

He felt bad for Yuuki. She had a lot of work ahead of her.

"This jerk made us wait hours! I'm gonna have to prank someone if I don't get to work soon, -ttebayo!"

"Calm down, Naruto."

The blond pouted at the Uchiha, who was looking him directly in the eye. Being the focus of such intense attention made him flush and look away quickly. Sasuke being so pretty wasn't fair. How was Naruto supposed to concentrate like this? Was this how Yuuki felt whenever she looked in Shikamaru's direction? It was so distracting!

He looked over to Sakura who was on his other side, making eyes at Sasuke over Naruto's short head. Her face was lightly flushed, eyes sparkling in lovely contrast with her hair. She was super pretty too.

And Naruto was on a team with the both of them. He could only thank the kami above that their sensei's face was covered almost all the way. He wouldn't be able to handle the beauty from all sides otherwise.

Their sensei had most of his face covered by a mask though! What the hell? What kind of weirdo just walked around with a mask on when they weren't in the Anbu? What was the point? And just how old was he anyway with that grey hair?

Secretly, he would like to think that their sensei had fish lips. And an ugly mustache. And maybe some terrible sideburns too! Just so they'd balance everything out. Two really pretty people on the team and then two… not really pretty people on the team. To make things fair.

The Jonin was gone in a damn Shunshin and had left them all staring at the space he'd vacated so quickly after making them wait for so damn long! Naruto was going to explode with rage! He was going to put itching powder in the man's hair if someone didn't stop him soon!

"He said we're boring." Naruto had inhaled through his nose so hard and fast that he ended up choking himself and hurt his throat in the ensuing coughing fit. Sakura had sputtered in affront at the insult, looking ready to start swinging at the nearest item. Sasuke didn't seem to care all too much but that was just how he was. Aloof and cool and stuff.

"Calm," the Uchiha reiterated, hand softly rubbing Naruto's back, having never moved after he'd reached out to pat him into clearing his airway moments ago. "Don't let him get to you. People like him live on that sort of thing. Don't give him the free entertainment of you losing sight of what's important."

Sakura practically sparkled in the Uchiha's direction at his very sophisticated words. Well… at least it wasn't anger anymore. Obsession over Sasuke's pretty face was better than letting on that she was annoyed. When she got annoyed and eventually angry, she got violent. It wasn't fun being around Sakura when she got violent.

Naruto reminded himself that he couldn't do the same thing. That it would be weird if he started acting like Sakura did even though he kind of wanted to but not publicly. If he could just stare at Sasuke with a guarantee that no one would know, he'd do it in a heartbeat. He'd get all the Sasuke Time he wanted and nobody could do a thing about it!

He remembered the reaction to his crush on Sakura. Sage forbid his tiny, itty bitty interest in Sasuke got loose to someone that wasn't Yuuki who had no problem with it.

"I still want to ruin his life," he grumbled, not over what their sensei dared to pull.

"Don't we all," the Uchiha agreed with a sigh. "Let's get this over with."

And then they did, and Naruto wanted to ruin Kakashi-sensei's life even more than he did before! All he had to do was find out where the man lived and then trap his house up something fierce!

Yuuki would help if he asked. She was supportive of revenge so long and no one got hurt and the perpetrators didn't get caught. He had Kage Bunshin now too, so it'd be done pretty quickly.

Also, only 50% of their graduation class would remain on their Genin Teams? The rest would either drop out or enter the Genin Corps. How unfair!

He was so glad Yuuki got Apprenticed to someone! If things hadn't panned out, he would have gone to the Hokage and said something.

"Whaddaya mean it 'gets in the way'? I just purchased this coat and it hasn't impeded my progress in anything."

Shizune gave the girl a look of pity and patted her arm. "I'm sorry, but it's staff rules. If you go around the village or out on a mission, you can wear it whenever and however you please, but at the hospital there is a certain dress code expected of all of our workers. The fur on the collar is considered a potential hazard because of the code. As for the color, it would be very easy to stain in a hospital and I think you'd want to avoid that."

Yuuki huffed and tugged the article of clothing off from the hood, revealing her sleeveless mesh armor in total and the new shirt/skirt combo that she wore over it. She proceeded to shove the coat into her designated locker and waited impatiently for Shizune to comment.

Well… her outfit wasn't exactly against the dress code since it didn't hamper her movements. It didn't look exactly professional but as there was nothing in the rules about how much skin was exposed or the cuts of one's clothing, she couldn't say much of anything else.

"It'll do," she told the teen. "It's a good thing your hair is so short otherwise you'd have had to pull it back as well.

"Now, you'll be seated in the exam room. This is basically to determine where you should begin your courses here. We've already guessed but by law we have to put you through this so no one can say we aren't being fair in comparison to other potentials."

Yuuki had to be tested just like everyone else, in view of everyone else. It was a simple fact. And it wasn't as if it was an unfair expectation either. There was no reason to be angry or sad over it. That was just how life went.

The girl sighed. "Fine. Anything special I'm supposed to know beforehand?"

Shizune paused to consider, before saying lowly, "Never let on to the fact that you would rather be anywhere else doing anything else. There is a board watching the entire room's movements. They judge not only skill but also the conduct of the examinees."

It was something that Tsunade-sama had insisted be implemented because she didn't want terrible people becoming medics. This way it was easier to tell who had to be watched, who could be trusted, and who shouldn't be allowed near injured people in general. Sad but necessary.

As Shizune wanted her new Apprentice to get far in this profession, so she might have shown a bit of favoritism. But no one could ever say she did and that was what mattered most in the end!

"So I just go in and do my best. Are there practicals involved too?"

"You'll see." Meaning, yes.

"Great," the girl groaned. "Fine. I'll go and get this over with."

And in she went, to conquer whatever she could manage so far in her training. Shizune was excited to see if her predictions ended up being right. Something just told her that Yuuki could already use Shosen to an extent and that would make teaching her much easier.

Theoretical work had always been easier to do because memorization was easy. Yuuki had had a lot of time since she started at the Academy, to dedicate to various pursuits.

Knowing a little bit of everything was good. Knowing a lot about her chosen profession before even officially starting was even better. It made life easier.

The first paper demanded she label all the bones in the human body. It was easy. The second wanted information on tenketsu, which was also easy thanks to Hinata. Having a friend practice their taijutsu on your tenketsu was brilliant! The third was just full of essay questions about how chakra interacted with wounds. The fourth was a list of essays about potential emergency scenarios on the battlefield and how she'd work her way through them.

It wasn't all easy, but it was also kind of fun? It felt less like a test and more like an exercise they'd do in school.

While she hadn't ever been the kind of person to get nervous during tests, she felt strangely calm for this one.

It was interesting to read through the questions and have to come up with special answers of her own.

Yuuki wasn't shocked when she passed with flying colors, along with half of the exam hall. What did shock her was the reveal that the word problems weren't necessarily looking for a right or wrong answer, but were simply used to determine what each candidate valued and how they would approach a perilous situation. This would let the professionals involved, know where to start when it came time to instruct the new recruits.

Already, working at the hospital was looking to be very interesting. If anything, she at least wouldn't ever be bored.

Now if only the Hyuga dude a few feet off would focus on his own work instead of glowering at her every three seconds, then everything would be perfect.

Yuuki's duty outside of her courses was her being assigned as an assistant at the hospital. Basically it involved following Shizune around and taking never-ending notes on what she did, any advice she had, any shortcuts allowed, and anything that had to be done specifically as demonstrated or else.

The woman's bedside manner was very easygoing and kind. Her patients seemed to really like her, especially as she was calm and honest with them. She answered questions if they had any, and never ignored someone's concerns about their own health. Even successfully talked a woman out of a panic attack about her heart condition. It had taken nearly half an hour or nonstop speaking but she'd done it.

"Never ignore someone in need of medical treatment," she told the Genin seriously as they stalked the white corridors. "Our duty is to the people. We take an oath for a reason. That's why when we give the final exam for the official courses, we always give the examinee in question, an injured patient under partial Henge to look like someone they dislike. If they refuse to do their job, even for someone they absolutely detest despite being required to, then we cannot trust them to do their job without supervision."

And that immediately explained why she'd seen a man storm off from someone who was bleeding from the arm and looked a lot like an older Naruto, a few days back when she peered into one of the exam rooms. That medic-in-training hadn't come back yet and this explained why. Naruto was, for some fucking reason, hated by the entire village so being forced to treat him was where these idiots drew the line.

For shame. Of course they couldn't trust people like that.

She could get not wanting to help complete and utter assholes, but if you're in this and you take the oath like all other fucking medics do, then you have to do it. Also, forbidding a child from getting medical help just because you don't like him is the most childish and cruel thing possible. Her dislike of people persisted, just as strong as ever.

"Something to take note of is the clearance you and others have," said Shizune as they walked, taking bed pans from a nearby cart in the process. "At your current level of clearance, you at most are allowed to distribute hospital gowns and ice chips to the patients, as well as clean up any messes left on the floor in the hallways. If you have a Senior Staff Member with you, and you'll know judging by the badge that resembles mine," she said, gesturing the the green button clipped to her collar, "they may allow you to carry files or paperwork, and maybe med-kits if extra hands are necessary, but then and only then. Familiarize yourself with the list of people who are part of the Senior Staff weekly just in case."

Good to know. The fact that there was a rotation in Senior Staff members showed that Tsunade's desire to increase the amount of Iryo-nin on staff was working in her favor.

"Only a Senior Staff Member can organize your schedule and no one but them can change it. No other member of the hospital staff can order you to do additional work or not to do your work at all. Only Senior Staff Members, understand?" Shizune said with a sharp look.

"Yes, shishou."

Shizune nodded firmly. "Additionally, active Jonin not working in the hospital, Anbu with colored masks, and the Hokage himself, can order your presence if assistance is necessary, whether you like it or not." The woman stopped abruptly and put a hand on Yuuki's shoulder, her face dead serious. Her voice was pitched low instantly. "If you see an Anbu member but the mask they wear is blank, you go immediately to Tsunade-sama or Hokage-sama and tell them whatever is said to you along with the details of the location you were approached at. They and the person they answer to cannot order you by law to do anything. And they shouldn't even attempt to but they most likely will."

What. The. Fuck?

Was there like some secret faction in the village disobeying the Hokage? Passing off as Anbu and everything? And if so, how was the faction still functioning?

"Now... we will speak no more about this particular change in topic," Shizune added, continuing on as if she hadn't just dumped a strange mystery onto Yuuki's shoulders. "Any further orders will be taken up with me or Tsunade-sama if I'm not around."

And yet Yuuki's mind was still on the topic long after her shift ended.

"So you haven't done any D-Ranks?!" Naruto demanded, hands on his hips.

"Nope. The work hours I put in at the hospital between courses and assistant work, make up for that. I'll have to work 500 total hours in the hospital to qualify for the upcoming Chunin Exams if I don't do any missions at all. However, Shizune-shishou did tell me that I will end up taking a mission with each of the Genin teams in rotation over the next few months, to familiarize myself with the process of being in a team and taking orders in a team setting." As if they didn't do that in the Academy.

That meant Yuuki would be on their team at least once, which was great! Suddenly the whole situation didn't seem so unfair. Especially after a 40 hour work week meant she had like thirteen weeks of work to do to qualify to take an exam meant for rising in rank.

Yeah, he'd gotten better at math.

The blond shoveled some more ramen in his mouth as he thought about it. He might just prefer having to do the boring chores that came with D-Ranks because at least with his sensei who was a Jonin and strong enough to scare civilians into behaving, a lot of people in hospitals were in bad moods and weren't very nice to the staff. And planting a garden was more fun than cleaning up someone's vomit.

Objectively, it seemed as if Yuuki had actually gotten the worst job out of all shinobi branches. Human anatomy could be the grossest stuff.

"I'm suddenly no longer jealous of you and just wanna wish you good luck."

"Thanks. How's it going with your little harem?"

"They are not my harem!" he insisted loudly, face flushed with embarrassment as he hoped no one heard her. "They are my teammates that I happen to find very attractive and might have a strong crush on."

Yuuki snorted. "You should just remove the word 'might' from that sentence entirely because you got it bad and it's a bit embarrassing watching how you act around them now."

"Well you do the same thing when Shikamaru's around!"

She paused, her ramen dangling on her chopsticks as she considered his words. "Aw fuck, you're right," she relented with a sigh.

"Yesssss!" Vindication!

"We're having a feast tonight and it's going to be all of my favorites!" Choi beamed as he shoved some dango into his mouth.

That basically meant everything Choji's mom cooked would be served. As Choji was officially twelve now and also a Genin, there would be no more birthday parties. Now it was just family and close friends who could come. And of course Shikamaru's family wouldn't miss it. Neither would Ino's.

So they were just waiting around with Ino taking every few minutes to chew them out over something or other. She was still controlling and annoying but not enough for them to dislike her or anything. Maybe the need to wear a wig under a fancy hat really affected her that much. He couldn't say he didn't think it was an improvement.

The door to the house opened suddenly to reveal Choji's mom, who was holding up a light green bag filled with white tissue paper. Her smile was practically bubbling forth. "Your friend Yuuki dropped this off this morning. She said she'd be going on a mission this afternoon and wouldn't be available to hand it to you personally."

Shikamaru watched in interest, wanting to know what the gift was since Yuuki was typically a frugal person since she couldn't afford to be wasteful when spending money.

Ino huffed and folded her arms petulantly. "How come she never got me any birthday gifts but she got you both one?"

Both boys sent her a look that very obviously questioned her intelligence. Choji actually answered this time though. "Since when have you gotten her anything? You didn't invite her to your parties so she probably doesn't even know when your birthday is. None of us even know her birthday for starters, and you aren't even her friend. I don't remember you trying to get to know Yuuki in any way meaningful when you were spreading rumors about her so why should she have to buy or make you anything?"

The look on Ino's face was priceless! Yet that didn't mean she didn't deserve to hear those words. She seemed to forget, in that instant, why she was wearing fake hair in the first place.

"He's right," said Shikamaru frankly, though his attention was caught on to the fact that they in fact did not know when Yuuki's birthday was. Shikamaru had even bought her some earrings as a late gift and he didn't actually think to ask her when the actual date was. Since she was a poor orphan her whole life of course she'd never celebrated it and didn't consider her birth something worth celebrating.

Was this what being a bad friend felt like?

Ino sputtered, looking back and forth between them, knowing she was cornered and that it would be better for her to stop while she was ahead.

Choji chose that moment to pull out the gift. It was a stack of decorative red bento and inside each were different kinds of Yuuki's homemade cookies. A note in the first wished Choji a happy birthday and told him not to eat all of them at once because while she liked seeing him, she didn't want to see him in the hospital over something as silly as overeating.

"She knows me so well!" the boy cried, wiping fake tears from his eyes.

He then offered his teammates a cookie each. Ino of course turned away from the calories she refused to consume despite all their damn lessons in the first aid classes on why it was stupid to not eat, while Shikamaru took one because even he knew Yuuki was great at baking.

"We need to find out her birthday." If only so they could stop being such sucky friends to her. Maybe Naruto knew.

"YOSH! It is an honor to have you on our team for the duration of this mission, Yuuki-san!" Gai-sensei bellowed as they walked toward Otafuku-Gai.

Immediately, Lee followed his sensei's example and proclaimed his excitement over having her with them as well. Her eyes were practically bleeding from the assault. It was complete torture.

TenTen sent the younger Genin a look of regret and said, "It's nice to have you with us. I'm just sorry about how loud it will be."

"Honestly, I know someone just as loud and instead of bright green, he wears bright orange. It isn't that bad," she confided. Of course if she hadn't had all this experience from Naruto she probably would be catatonic by now.

Gai and Lee as a combo were something else and not the kind of something people would willingly seek out. It took great intestinal fortitude to get used to such antics. Being on a team with them for a year already had to mean TenTen and the Hyuga weren't capable of being fazed by anything anymore. Nerves of steel and guts of glory.

"What's our mission anyway?" the new Genin asked.

"We are going to be delivering this scroll to our client!" said Gai-sensei, brandishing a scroll with a red tassel on the end. That meant that the level of importance wasn't that high. Black would be 'do whatever you can to deliver it, even if you're bleeding to death'. White was basic information that could be found almost anywhere.

The order went White, Light Yellow, Light Orange, Red, Purple, Dark Blue, Dark Brown, and then Black. Black tassels were sealed with a special syntax that only few could release. And were only handled by shinobi ranked Senior Level Anbu or above(such as Kage).

Red meant C-Rank which would explain why the mission was a C-Rank.

Her first official mission was a C-Rank. Though after nearly a month of hospital work she had done the proper amount to equal the amount of D-Ranks necessary to get such a mission for fresh Genin. That would be thirty D-Ranks worth of hospital work she had accomplished and since D-Ranks were just glorified chores and most of her work for now was just glorified chores, it was all fair.

Yuuki had never left the village before. Though technically she'd been born right outside the village and had been in an orphanage there until it was destroyed in the Kyubi attack. But after being brought to the village when she didn't even remember it, she hadn't left of her own volition. There was no way a life outside the walls would be easier. Even with Konoha's many flaws it was still better than being in nature all by oneself.

During the travel to their destination, Gai and Lee ended up getting into training challenges often while the Hyuga acted haughty and too good for such things, and TenTen tried to engage Yuuki in conversation about what she did at the hospital and what kind of training she got.

"Had my first Taijutsu session with Tsunade-sama last week and she put me through four trees with one punch," the girl explained, a bit breathless as she remembered it. "It was awesome." And it hurt too, but not as much as it could have if she wasn't aware of chakra being able to cushion the blows you received and landings you made if you had good enough control to use it for such things. Basically, one punch to the sternum would have broken another Genin in half, but Yuuki had saved her own ass by not only covering her entire rib cage with a shit ton of chakra, but also building a small bubble of chakra outside the skin so it could take most of the damage for her.

Tsunade had even told her, 'well done'. And then the woman told her to get her ass up and do it again. And again. And again. Basically, Yuuki ended up getting pummeled for an hour as her body was forcefully trained into developing faster reflexes. She'd been jumpy for the rest of the day as a result. Every tiny movement was a possible attack in her mind and it took time to get rid of that mindset.

The blonde woman simply shrugged and told her with practice she'd get used to it and her perception would sharpen enough to give her more time to react. She just had to work hard and be patient.

Upon hearing her confession, the entirety of Team Ten stopped to stare at her, TenTen's eyes were the largest of the group.

"What?"

"You're working under Tsunade-sama?" TenTen asked in awe, eyes practically sparkling.

"Well… I'm Apprenticed to her Apprentice. While shishou has her Mastery in the eyes of Konoha's medical board, Tsunade-sama says she still has much to learn, so I end up with both of them a lot in some capacity."

"I'm so jealous!"

Yeah... it was going pretty well.
