Koga is the father of Kovu but Koga is a cub right now and doesn't know the future that awaits him. As a cub he lived in Mufasas fathers pride before simba was born, Mufasa was about to become king before Koga was born. During his life he fell in love with Zira. When Mufasas father died Mufasa became king and Sarabi became queen and she was going to have a cub. Simba was born around the same time as Koga and he lived a happy life and became Koga's friend, then that fateful day came. One day scar came and told the lionesses that Simba and Mufasa were dead. Koga was at his teenaged years at the time and this was a great shock to him, and Scar said he would kill him unless he did everything he said. Koga had no choice Koga had to do it. Koga work with Scar for years but he was still in love with Zira even though she had two other cubs Nuka and Vitani with scar. When he got his fully grown mane Zira and Koga got together and they fell in love. A few weeks later Zira was going to have another cub. When Scar heard this he was outraged and told him that the cub would be killed when it was born. When Koga heard this he felt heart broken, there was nothing he could do if he did something he would be killed by the hyenas. Zira begged she would follow him till the end in return to not kill the cub. Scar said only if you remain loyal to me for all eternity. She accepted. For having a cub without permission Scar exiled Koga never to return. Knowing that he would be exiled, Koga knows now that he will never see Zira again and will not be able to raise his first child. Koga ran many miles until he reached a safe spot and stayed there forever. He wonders if his cub is born now a wonders if he is having a good life. There's no way he could go back now knowing that Scar will over power if he ever comes back. So now he is left there never knowing if he will ever see his cub. For now he has no one but himself.
