Fate/Twin Roses Chapter 10: V for Vendetta

By Bluestar076

Hello everyone! Bluestar here with a new chapter! As you could expect, this is the second part of the big event that took place in the previous episode (Hoping to make it release sooner than last time XD), as a new and unexpected challenger approached the participants of the Holy Grail War and is ready to mess things up! This chapter will be dedicated to the long-waited fifteenth Servant as the second phase of the rumble starts. Before that, I've seen that someone of you wondered how the building stood still despite the battle and how no one noticed the mess that was taking place in there, and there are two reasons for that: the first one is that I simply used the suspension of reality element to make the scenes flow better and second motivation is that the building was actually more like a skyscraper with large rooms than a regular building (Kabuki-Cho really has these really tall buildings that are used for nightclubs and I've used one of them to make the battle possible).

With this said, it's time for someone here to have his moment! As always, I hope you enjoy this Chapter!

Note: I do not own Fate. All rights and characters belong to Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON.

Chapter 10: V For Vendetta

Servants.

They are the spirits of heroes and legendary people that lived in the past, summoned in a modern era to serve their Masters and fight against each other to prevail over the others and win the Holy Grail and have a wish granted. They can be real people, myths, literary figures and even monsters, with each one having a story to tell. Since these wars started, the Servants had been divided in seven classes: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Caster and Assassin.

…However…

Those who trained themselves in the arts of Magecraft and those who had been chosen to fight in the Holy Grail War…know well…that there's a secret in this subdivision. Excluding the Ruler-Class, who is summoned only in particular and special cases by the Grail itself…

There's an eight class of Servants. A class that is considered…impossible to summon…yet it exists.

While the other classes distinguish themselves for the way they fight or their weapons…this class is known for a specific feature:

Revenge.

They are beings that held a desire for vengeance, which didn't fade away even after death. They are creature that are born or lived with hatred…and they bring their internal curse to the rest of the world.

Whether it is a human who incarnates all the evils of the world, the shadow of one of the greatest emperors of Japan, a mythological creature that is half-woman half-snake or even the combination of a headless knight…and a gigantic wolf…these Servants are all connected to their burning desire of vengeance. And as such…they are known with the title…

Avenger.

Tokyo – Shinjuku – 16th April 2021 – 0:00 A.M

He was just standing there. At the center of the room.

The other participants of the war were bewildered as they couldn't consider this possibility not even in their wildest dreams.

But he was there.

"H-How…how is this possible?" Tygo wondered. "I…I thought that there were all of us here…"

"Caster…who is that?" Astrea asked to her Servant, who started to sweat for the first time. "For the first time…I don't know…but one thing is for sure: he's not friendly." Caster of Red answered.

Marcus and Isak, the respective leaders, were the ones that were shocked the most. After everything they could expect…here it comes a surprise: a fifteenth Servant. Another Heroic Spirit. But…why? Why was he here? And most importantly…how?

Marcus looked around to see if he could see something else, like the Master of this person…but there was nobody else. "He seems alone…" He thought.

"His attack hit all of us…which means that he's neither on our side…nor on their. Which means that he's another enemy…but…i have a terrible feeling about this." Isak thought.

"Master…" Archer of Red called Kazuto, who turned on her. "There's…something wrong on him." She continued. "What do you mean?" Her Master asked.

"There's no doubt that he's a Servant like us, but…I don't recognize him…in any of the classes." Archer of Red continued, shocking her Master. "W-What?"

"Now that I think of it…it's true…he's completely different…" Berserker of White confirmed. It didn't take too long for them to figure out the answer, which troubled them even more.

"C-Could it be…?" Calem said. "The…the eight class…" Adewale added.

"An…An Avenger…they…they do exist…" Marcus concluded. "I've heard in the past of rumors about the eight class…but I didn't think that there could be the possibility that they could be summoned. I thought it was known as the forbidden class. Who…in the world…summoned him?" He thought.

The personal concerned looked at everyone in silence and then made a deep sigh before making a smile. "Well? What's the matter? Until a few minutes ago you were brutally fighting like lions. Did my appearance scare you? Do I make this effect? And to think that my presence was acclaimed by many in my times." He spoke.

"Who are you?" Saber of Red asked while holding his blade tightly.

"A Heroic Spirit…just like you. Though I think I shouldn't be given such a title for the person I am. I've heard all the mess you were doing…and I was pretty attracted from the marvelous show you've put on! Really, you caught my attention with your action breathtaking! Therefore…I've wanted to meet you all…in person." Avenger continued before raising his head. "Though…to be fair…there was also a presence in particular that disturbed me really much…" He added. Then, he looked at someone in particular with a grin.

He was looking at Saber of White, who grunted back. "Tch. Another asshole who wants to have a lesson?" He asked. Seram stared at him. Her desire to kill remained, but at the same time, when she looked at him, she could feel herself…getting threatened.

"Does that mean that you came only for Saber of White?" Lancer of Red asked. That question made the other Servant chuckle. "Oh no, no, no…he surely has a lot of attention…but…there's only one reason I've decided to come here…and it's just…to have some fun."

That answer was enough to give everyone a shriek on their backs.

"After seeing your massacre, I just couldn't wait any longer to finally descend in action. I'm still a participant as well…therefore…do you mind…if I join you all?" Avenger asked.

Berserker of Red was holding himself until that moment, but he couldn't resist anymore. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAH!" He quickly jumped and dashed towards Avenger, with the intent to punch him in the face.

A shockwave followed that attack…and when the smoke disappeared, everyone widened their eyes as they saw that the fifteenth Servant was able to block the Berserker's attack with his bare hand. "GRRRRRRRRRRRR…"

Avenger didn't seem offended or annoyed by that. He simply looked at him with still a smile on his face. "So…you're the first one who wants to die." He spoke. From the hand that was blocking the attack, several electric waves started to appear, making clear that the Avenger was answering.

"BERSERKER! GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Marcus tried to advise him, but it was already too late. Avenger released a blast of energy that threw Berserker of Red several meters away, making him crash against a wall. "AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

"H-He…he just blasted him away like that!" Oeneus exclaimed with a deaf voice. Other shockwaves started to wrap the Servant's body.

"Oh no…" Alvis said. "He's coming!" Maximilian added. Archer of White stood close to Cynthia, who was badly injured, so that he could protect her.

Avenger opened his eyes. He was ready to enjoy the night. "Now then…shall we begin?" He asked. Everyone stood ready to answer the attack. "Let me show you how great and strong MY VIOLENCE CAN BE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" In a short time, he was surrounded by an energy he released in a powerful explosive shock wave, that blasted everyone in other floors.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The second phase of the battle started, with a new entry ready to brawl.

Several police sirens started to sound through the streets of Shinjuku, and many cars were heading towards the devastated buildings.

A lot of people came in to observe the scene, making the police put a lot of bars with the line 'DO NOT CROSS'. "Let me pass!" Suddenly, an overweight man with moustaches who wore a police uniform passed through the crowd to reach the police, who recognized him. "Commissioner!" They exclaimed.

"What is happening here? I've heard of an emergency." The commissioner asked. "Sir, we've received several reports of this night club skyscraper getting destroyed. And as you can see, the voices aren't false." One of the policemen answered.

The commissioner could see by himself the several holes and flames that surrounded the tall skyscraper and remain surprised. "My God! How did that happen!? Do we have a terrorist attack here!?" He asked.

"We still don't know, commissioner. We've sent some men to investigate and discover the cause of this. The weirdest thing is that there aren't any victims involved in this attack. No dead and no wounded." The policeman continued.

"W-What!?" The Commissioner exclaimed. "It seems that everyone in the building, including the director himself, left the building three hours ago on their will, just before this happened." The policemen explained.

"W-Where is the director?" The commissioner then asked. They soon brought him to the director, who seemed pretty confused about the whole situation. "Sir, are you ok? Do you perhaps remember anything?" He asked.

"I…really don't know. I just remember that I was in my office inside…then I've felt like I was sleeping…and when I regained consciousness I was here and noticed the building half destroyed! It's so unrealistic I can't understand!" The director replied. "How could they do this!? Someone will pay for this! I've had a business over there!" A man from the Yakuza added.

"This surely doesn't help…" The Commissioner commented before turning on his fellow policemen. "Tell your men to make haste. We need to know what's going on as soon as possible." He then said. But right in that moment, someone called their attention.

"There's no need to worry, mister commissioner. Everything is alright."

When the commissioner turned around, he could see two tall men cassocks.

"What the…? Two priests? What are you talking about? Why are you here?" The commissioner fairly asked. "We come from a church that is near Ebisu. We've been sent here from our young priest to advise you that what's happening inside there is…quite complicated to explain. It's an event that unfortunately, cannot be revealed publicly. But you don't have to worry, it's not something that will endanger the citizens" One of the two priests answered.

"Are you kidding me, didn't you just see what happened!? Listen, I don't have time for some religious moral from you two. Something is happening inside there, and it could be dangerous enough to put everyone in danger! So please, go away." The commissioner insisted.

"We may insist to leave it be. Your men themselves will be in danger if they'll stay in there. It's a matter that regards us and again, we promise that no innocent people will be involved." The first priest insisted as well. "We'll make sure to repay the damages for this building. Plus…if you refuse, we may have to intervene directly." The second one added.

He didn't know why…but the commissioner felt intimidated by this message, as if he understood that these two priests were not two people to mess around with. If so, maybe that event was really something even beyond their grasp.

That message of theirs was enough to make the commissioner turn around to one of his men and say "…Call them back."

"Are you sure, Commissioner?" The policeman asked. "Yes…" The other simply replied. Since the order, the policemen took his walkie-talkie and advised those who were inside the building to get out of there.

"Thank you for your cooperation. We'll make sure to cover everything that happened tonight so that it won't happen again. Please, do not let anyone go inside there. The damages could be too great." One of the priests said.

"Bah…if you say so." The commissioner answered as he looked carefully at the two priests going away. He could see that they were keeping an eye on all the people that were looking at the building.

"Those two don't tell me right…it's not the first time I receive reports like this during these last days…" He thought. He decided to stay in there and help his fellow policemen to maintain the order around the building, where the battle was continuing.

Both the Red Rose and the White Rose faction were pushed down to different floors of the building after the impact caused by Avenger's explosion.

"Ngh…" Kazuto got out from some debris and noticed that his comrades were near him. "Hey, are you ok?" He asked.

"S-Somehow! I never thought I would have survived to an attack like that…" Astrea answered. "If you survived this far, then you shouldn't be surprised at this point. Even if I can see your point…" Caster of Red told her before noticing that her Master couldn't stand up. "Master! Is your leg broken?" She asked.

"U-Unfortunately yes…the mage I fought attacked my leg heavily during our battle before, and I don't know if I can't get up…dammit…I knew I would have lost a limb in a way or another…but not in this way…"

Even Marcus stood up, with Berserker of Red appearing near him. "Dammit…as if things weren't all messed up already!" He exclaimed, more irritated than ever. After all that hope and conviction, it was only frustrating to see that his effort was useless.

"What should we do now?" Calem asked. The Yggdmillenia mage studied carefully the situation, which was incredibly critical, as far as he hated to admit. They didn't know how strong that Servant was, and all the pairs were probably tired for the rumble that just happened. But he also remembered what Avenger's words were before releasing his attacks. Considering that he wanted to have fun with them, he was probably still there and wouldn't have let them go that easily.

Therefore…there was only one thing they could do.

"You think you can still fight?" He asked to the others.

"Absolutely. In fact…the idea of a new challenger makes things more interesting for both me and Saber here." Gordon answered promptly. "Saber of White did a work on me, but I can still move." Saber of Red added.

"What do you suggest?" Alvis asked to the leader. "As much as I hate to say it. At this point we cannot fight with him regularly. But we can't afford to lose in a place like this and let the White Faction have their way. Therefore…we shall use our remaining forces to push this Servant back and make him at least get away and then get out of here as soon as possible!" Marcus explained to the others with his usual militaristic forces.

"In that case…you're suggesting to join our forces?" Cahya asked. "I see…that would really be our only choice…well…I'm ready in case." Assassin of Red added.

"I…I don't know if I can work guys! You know…with this leg!" Astrea told the others. "Don't worry, Master. You did good. Since he's a Servant, leave it to me." Caster of Red assured her.

"Now that I think of it…I didn't sense any more signs of magical energy other than ours and those of the White Rose." Cahya then advised the others. "That means that his Master isn't here…are they confident enough to leave their Servant alone?" Kazuto tried to guess out.

"In that case, he may be stronger than we think…" Archer of Red said. "That would probably be the case. I'm messed up…but I can still fight." Rider of Red added.

"In that case, Cahya, Calem, take care of Astrea's wound. The rest of you get ready. Remember, we cannot defeat him in our state! We have to push him away!" Marcus concluded.

"You think you can handle this, Archer?" Kazuto asked her Servant, who nodded. "Don't worry about that…huh?" She then noticed a noise coming from above. "EVERYONE! WATCH OUT!"

As they looked up, they could see the enemy approaching them with a dive attack. This made them jump away to dodge him. Avenger landed with a strong electric kick that generated a crater on the floor.

"Tsk, there he is…" Lancer of Red spoke after gritting her teeth.

"Glad to see that you're all fine. I would have been disappointed if that single attack wiped you all out. Now…let us see if this tragedy will be enough to entertain me." Avenger said before turning on Berserker of Red, who was ready to receive him. "GRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

"Mad at me for before? I said you were the first one, and I always tend to follow my schedule. How about you show me more, then?" The mysterious Servant said with a sinister tone.

"So, you want us first? Very well! We couldn't have asked for better! CRUSH HIM, BERSERKER!" Marcus shouted, ordering his Servant to attack.

It didn't take too long for the Servant to get surrounded by his black smoke and throw himself to Avenger while holding a sword. "ARGH…GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Avenger quickly jumped backwards, apparently enjoying the wrath of his opponent. "That's more like it! Whatever makes you angry, knight, don't hesitate to show me your true colors as a human!" He exclaimed, almost as if he was calling for him.

"GRAAAAAAAAH!" Berserker of Red didn't think twice and dashed towards him, starting to attack repeatedly with his sword. Once again, Avenger turned out to be able to block most of his attacks. But this time, Marcus's Servant wouldn't have done the same mistake twice, as he pushed him away with a punch given by his free arm.

Avenger recoiled and started to magazine electricity in his arms, which almost looked like two shadowy claws. "AMAZING! Let's see how you handle this!" He shouted before starting to shoot several beams made of blue electricity at the enemy Servant

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" Berserker of Red charged against him, moving in several points to dodge the beams and then jumped to make a dive attack with the sword, only to be blocked by Avenger's shadowy arm. Despite this, Berserker of Red continued to push, trying to crush the enemy. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

"An impressive mark, mad knight! Too bad that your energies aren't enough to surprise me more!" Avenger answered, as he pushed as well.

"I hope that you haven't forgotten someone!" Suddenly, Avenger could notice Lancer of Red spinning towards her filled with electricity as well. Avenger had to block her as well with his free hand, but inevitably, trying to stop two powerful Servants was too much even for him, and he got wiped out by them, crashing against a wall.

"NGH! I see…" Avenger said, as he stood up. "Unity is strength, huh? In that case let's see how far your union can go!" He exclaimed before getting surrounded by an aura which was a mix of electricity and darkness. Even his eye turned from yellow to red. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAH!"

"What is he doing?" Calem asked. "He's increasing his power! BERSERKER! DON'T CONTROL YOURSELF! ATTACK!" Marcus answered, motivating his Servant after seeing the situation.

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" As such, Berserker of Red let himself get more influenced by his Mad enhancement to get stronger before charging against him again. "AAAAAAAAAH!"

"LET ME SHOW YOU THE GATES OF HELL!" Avenger answered before charging as well. The two Servants clashed, generating a vortex of darkness that could be seen even from the outside, shocking mostly everyone.

The area itself started to become darker, but the others could still see the two Servants attack in a savage way. "How curious the fact that we are both slave to this darkness, eh!?" Avenger shouted, sounding even too delighted by the heat of this fight.

Lancer of Red took the chance and jumped high to attack Avenger with several beams of electricity from her lance while he was distracted with Berserker of Red.

But unexpectedly, Avenger saw this coming, and started to move quickly away from the enemy by becoming a flying shadow that headed towards Lancer of Red. He almost looked like some sort of phantom.

"AH!? Both Marcus and Berserker of Red exclaimed. "LANCER, WATCH OUT!" Calem tried to warn his Servant, who tried to stab the shadow with his lance. With an outstanding speed, Avenger got out from her trajectory and swiftly moved behind her.

"N-No way!" Lancer of Red exclaimed, stunned. "Too slow…" Avenger whispered in her hear before sending her to the ground with a spinning kick. "AGH!"

"NOW SHOW ME ANGUISH!" Avenger shouted as he started to shoot several spheres of energy to everyone.

"Watch out, he's coming!" Archer of Red warned everyone before grabbing Kazuto and start to move away from the attack alongside the others.

"He can even fly!?" Astrea asked, astonished by that. "In that case, I know how to answer!" Cleopatra answered. After taking her Master to a safer spot, she started to fly as well towards Avenger.

"HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS!?" After getting closer, Cleopatra immediately released explosive dust on the enemy's face. Since he didn't expect that, Avenger got hit and forced to land on the ground.

"Explosive dust…this is new for me as well…it didn't seem to be like gunpowder…uh!?" Avenger said. When he looked up, he could notice Assassin of Red dive towards him, ready to throw a barrage of kicks. Avenger made a large smirk and started to move his body to dodge the kicks and then grabbed Assassin of Red's ankle, stunning her. "Agh!"

"Such a beautiful woman…you keep your expectations as an Assassin high, since you can fight so well!" Avenger commented. "If that's so, it shouldn't be something you should be happy for!" Assassin of Red retorted as she kicked him in the face with the other leg, pushing him away and set her free. Avenger immediately answered by sending her away as well with a beam of electricity. This, though, wasn't enough to stop the queen of the desert, as she summoned her golden cobra to attack him.

Avenger widened his eyes at the sight of it, and flew high to dodge him, only to see that Caster of Red was approaching him by running through the windows. Sensing too many dangers, the fifteenth Servant released a shockwave that pushed the other two Servants away from him.

"Gah!" Caster of Red clashed against a column, but this didn't stop her from still running towards the enemy and attack him.

"I see that you don't care if you lose energies, Caster of Red! I'm glad I'm seeing all these special cases of Servants! It makes me enjoy the show A LOT MORE!" Avenger said while shooting several spheres of energy at the enemy.

"WATCH OUT!" Astrea advised her Servant, who moved quickly and nimbly from one spot to another in order to come closer and avoid the attacks. Suddenly, she stomped with her foot and dashed towards Avenger with an unexpected speed that she didn't show before. This was the effect of High-Speed Sutra Changing: a skill of her that allowed her to increase the speed of her movements and her attacks. In a second, she was in front of Avenger and lavished a powerful blow with the palm of her hand. But to the others' surprise, Avenger answered with a blow of the same speed that caused a blast wave that made the two Heroic Spirits jump back.

While Caster of Red started to breath heavily, Avenger showed to be still at full strength. "Anf…so he has a skill that increases his speed as well…not bad…" Astrea's Servant commented. And she was right. Avenger disposed of the ability Determination of Steel: a skill born from the pure resolution of those who had passed through hell during their past lives. This allowed him to have a superhuman mind and body that could make him endure high-speed action and answer with the same energy.

"Are you surprised by this, monk? This is but one of the awards that God blessed me with for following the path that I carved on my life. After what I've been through, it's hard for me to be amazed by what surrounds me." Avenger told her.

"Is that so? You're starting to interest me! As someone who travelled through the world, I've also endured a lot of extreme situations. Hearing that from you makes me want to compare our endurance." Caster of Red answered.

Avenger found this answer of her funny as he laughed loudly. "AHAHAHAHAH! I'm afraid to tell you, ma'am, that your affirmation is impossible! No one could pass through the same life I've been to. Not even if you've passed through places on earth that can be considered living hells."

But Caster of Red didn't seem offended by this and started to swing her staff. "Well…we can't say it unless we try, don't you think? I believe that Buddha has a lot to teach to you." She spoke with a convinced smirk.

"Oh God! Caster wants to be serious…but in her state she might consume all of her magical energy…" Astrea said worried. She looked at the Command Spells at her hand, thinking that maybe it was a good choice to help her with one of them. But she also remembered that she already used one of them during her first fight, which meant that she would have still one left if she used another. Once again, she was in the constant doubt. That Command Spell would have helped her Servant against the enemy, but at the same time, she would have lost her more easily with this. "Aaaaah…what should I do? It almost looks like that either way, Caster is doomed!" She thought. Though she participated in the Holy Grail War by mistake, it was now clear that overall, she was developing a form of affection towards her Servant.

In that moment, even Kazuto was studying the situation, which was completely turned upside down at this moment. Still, he and his Servant needed to act. "Archer, the others began to fight. Go for it, too!" He ordered.

"Here I come!" Archer of Red answered as she dashed, surrounded by flames. "Thank you, Kazuto…" Astrea thanked the other Master in the meantime. "There's no need of. Think like you did with that Master before. There's not time for problems, now." Kazuto told her. "…Right!" The Alainosta mage replied, feeling surer now.

"Now take this!" Caster of Red shoot three golden beams from her staff, with Avenger accepting her challenge with a smirk. Surrounded by darkness, he dashed towards the beams, which only grazed him due to the dark aura, and headed straight towards Caster of Red. He was ready to stab her with his bare hand, but just before he could do that, Archer of Red pushed him away with her katana. "Ngh!"

"Archer!" Caster of Red exclaimed, surprised. The female samurai immediately ran towards the enemy and attacked with both blades. Thanks to his supernatural reflexes, Avenger stood up and blocked her in time with his arms covered in shadows. Kazuto's Servant, not wanting to get overwhelmed, pushed forward, while Avenger had the chance to see her better closely. "An Oni demon? Interesting…I've heard of people like you, and I hope those rumors weren't fake!" He exclaimed as he started to charge energy to push her away with a small explosion.

"Ngah!" Archer of Red got rejected, but she immediately switched from the blades to the bow and started to shoot several arrows of fire. Much like he did with Caster of Red before, Avenger dashed towards the enemy, not caring about the attacks aimed at him. The difference was that this time, he had to move out in case an arrow came too close on him, since he felt that these arrows were stronger.

The female Servant then took a more precise aim with another arrow and shot it when she felt it was the right time to do so. The arrow went straight like a lightning and attacked Avenger, causing a large explosion.

"She made it?" Gordon wondered. "I'm not sure about this…" Marcus said his opinion, while Kazuto looked at the scene with his fists tight.

Archer of Red looked at the pile of smoke that was generated from her attack while holding her bow tightly. Then, like a rocket, Avenger came out of the smoke and headed towards Archer of Red, trying to slam her down with a spinning kick. The female Servant widened her eyes and used her bow to defend herself. The defensive act was successful, but Avenger's strength was still overwhelming, and the effects could be heard as the ground under Archer of Red started to crack.

"I see your potential, samurai. But I can't help but notice that you're holding yourself." Avenger said to the other Servant, who seemed confused. "What? What do you mean…?" She asked.

"Don't listen to him!" Kazuto thought while witnessing the scene. "You may be an Oni demon, but it's clear that you're still sticking with your human nature. It's not a sin, but it's still a shame. I've passed through it too. You need to learn and let your demonic side rise! Then maybe you'll be able to attack me! Come on! Show me how hot your flames can be!" Avenger persisted. His way of talking was just annoying and disturbing for Archer of Red, making her grow the desire to get rid of her.

"SHUT UP!" Archer of Red shouted as flames started to surround her while she pushed the opponent away with the bow. Avenger gained balance by making a pirouette in mid-air and landed on his feet before starting to shoot several spheres made of energy. "Your rage only confirms that you are hiding your true self!" He stated with an excited tone.

Archer of Red moved quickly from one spot to another to dodge them and answer back with several arrows of fire. "I may be a demon, but not the type you think! Don't pretend I would listen to you!" She countered.

"Maybe…or maybe not!" Avenger simply answered as he continued. But he was so focused on targeting Archer of Red that he didn't notice Caster of Red diving towards him with a kick. "Wha- GAH!" Avenger ended up rotating several meters away.

"Caster!" Archer of Red exclaimed. "Don't pretend I'm done with you!" Caster of Red told him before turning on the ally. "Remember that you can count on me." She assured her with a comforting smile. Archer of Red smiled back and looked at the opponent, who stood up surrounded by electricity.

"It's time now. Focus our combined attack and let's push him away!" Marcus exclaimed.

"Archer! You've heard him!" Kazuto told her Servant. "You too, Master- I mean, Caster! ATTACK!" Astrea added with a little bit of grit on her tone.

"TSEAAAAAAAAAH!" Both Archer and Caster of Red dashed towards Avenger, who was ready to receive them with his arms covered in shadows. Since the first attack was blocked, both Servants of the Red Rose started to attack him repeatedly. Avenger was still able to block them easily, but he also started to use more strength as he sensed that they were using more energy. "Now that's more like it! Two allies trying to take down a common enemy! Though it's still not enough!" But just as he said this, he felt his body getting caught by something. "What's this!?" He wondered before turning around and noticing that Rider of Red was holding him with her whip.

"Hey! I hope you haven't forgot about me either!" The female Servant exclaimed before lifting him up and throwing him against a window helped by the whip.

The fifteenth Servant crashed against the window, which shattered. But this wasn't enough to make him fall down. In an instant, his body was covered in darkness and headed straight forward Rider of Red, running over her. "Agh!"

"What a nice weapon you got there! Congrats for tricking me up!" Avenger told her while surrounding his hand with electricity and starting to shoot several spheres while standing on mid-air.

"Ah!" Rider of Red felt the danger and started to run away from the blasts while trying to answer back with several laser beams from her crown. But Avenger was fast enough to dodge them and counterattack with another sphere, which made Rider of Red fly away. "NGAH!"

The mysterious Servant landed on the ground and waited for the enemy to answer, wanting to have more fun with her. "You felt offended by being ignored, but now that you've got my attention, I hope that you're not all talk!" He spoke.

"Who said we were done with you!?" Archer of Red shouted before shooting another arrow of fire. Avenger widened his eyes and moved to the right just a second before the arrow could touch him. After the explosion caused by it, he turned around just to see that Archer and Caster of Red started to run towards him again. "What? You're hoping for a second attempt?" He jokingly said while getting surrounded by energy. He didn't hesitate to release it and generate a shockwave that almost destroyed all the furniture on the floor.

Though this time, the Servants of the Red Rose were ready and jumped back to the point where the attack couldn't reach them. Avenger couldn't immediately see them due to the smoke, and this gave the chance to Archer of Red to get closer to him. With a lightning movement, she got behind him and grabbed him from the shoulders by using her legs. "Ah! What are you doing!?" Avenger asked.

"THIS!" Archer of Red shouted as she threw him high, where Lancer of Red was waiting for him. She charged electricity in her lance and released it in the form of a beam. To defend himself, Avenger released a sphere, making the two blasts clash and nullify each other. Lancer of Red didn't lose any time and flew towards him to load him up with lance attacks, but thanks to his skill Determination of Steel, Avenger was able to answer properly with a barrage of physical attacks. "Magnificent! That tactic of yours was splendid! I see that you're starting to study my moves!" He spoke.

"I think it's only natural! You've put yourself in a business that didn't concern you! With this, my hunger couldn't be greater! And I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to tear you apart!" Lancer of Red answered. This made Avenger look near her and notice that Berserker of Red was diving towards him. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Oh, dear!" Avenger commented before getting thrown down by Berserker of Red's sudden attack. "They're starting to get slowly unpredictable…just like I wanted…" He added with a smirk while standing up. Much like he expected, the two Servants of the Red Rose dived immediately against him, forcing him to use his darkness to block them and push them away with a double sphere.

"GRRRRRRRRRRR!" Berserker of Red growled with fury as he generated a sword from his hand while Lancer of Red released a breath of purple fire. Avenger jumped away to dodge it, but then he got immediately attacked by Berserker of Red's sword, which made him crash to the ground.

Marcus's Servant wasn't done there and rushed against Avenger. Sensing the growing danger, the mysterious's Servant released a dark blaze to push him away. Only to find Saber of Red jumping through it and attack with his sword. "It seems that everyone is doing their best while fighting against you! This should make you one HELL of an opponent, much like the other Saber!" Saber of Red told him while attacking with his blade.

"So, you're seeking pleasure as well? That's just perfect! It's the type of opponent I've wanted to find! Avenger answered before pushing him away with a strong kick.

"Ngh! Eheheh…in that case, trust me when I say I won't disappoint you!" Gordon's Servant countered. "In that case, how about you get some fun from both sides, Saber?" Rider of Red asked him after standing on his right. She then closed her eyes and started to concept her lover's weapon on her mind. She then opened her hand and a spark of light started to appear. "Or should I say…Fergus, My Dear…" With that spell, a reproduction of Caladbolg appeared on her hand, making her ready to fight.

"Woah! I didn't know she could do that!" Alvis commented, surprised. "That must be another one of her Noble Phantasms related to Saber. They do have a deep bond indeed." Gordon added while his body was starting to get surrounded by electric shockwaves.

"Gordon? What do you intend to do?" Alvis asked. "Isn't it obvious? I'm going in!" The other Master answered before dashing towards Avenger.

Both Saber and Rider of Red, in the meantime, already ran towards the enemy, starting to attack with combined slashes of the same blade. "Ahahaha! Seeing my blade in your hands can only make me thrilled! I couldn't ask for a better ally!" Saber of Red said to the other Servant. "Everything for someone who shows loyalty towards me, Fergus dear! Now let's bash his head!" Rider of Red said turning back to her war-thirst tone."

Avenger moved swiftly to dodge their attacks but got hit to the hips and forced to recoil. But this only make him more excited. "Two Servants as lovers…I'm glad to see the unexpected twists I've hoped for!" He commented before blocking the two Servants with his hand after seeing them try a direct attack.

"Oh, you want something unexpected? Well, GUESS WHAT!" Gordon shouted as he dived against Avenger, attacking him with a punch.

"H-He attacked a Servant with his bare hands!? Those magic runes are greater than I thought!" Marcus exclaimed. "With that, he almost looks like a Servant! I've always wondered what his powers were and now I can say that I'm speechless!" Calem added.

"MY TURN NOW!" Gordon shouted as he started to deliver fist after fist against Avenger, managing to have him actually spit blood from his mouth. While the attack seemed to be successful though, Kazuto wasn't convinced at all. "No…I fear that there's a disadvantage in this."

Avenger recoiled and stood firm for a few seconds. Then…a laugh could be heard from him. At first normal…but then…it descended into madness.

"…Ah…eheh…eheheheheheheh…ehahahahahahahahah…" He slowly raised his head and then continued as his eyes turned glowing red. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! THIS IS JUST THE BEST! A MERE HUMAN THAT CAN HARM A SERVANT IS THE BEST THING I COULD ASK FOR! OH, MASTER! THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME THE CHANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS HOLY GRAIL WAR! THIS NEWS MAKES ME FEEL FULL OF ENERGY!" He shouted, showing all of his excitement. The other Servants found that enjoyment of his quite disturbing by the way he moved and talked, since he had his arms wide open as if he was talking with God.

"Did he…go nuts?" Gordon wondered. Avenger then took a deep breath while his body was slightly surrounded by shadows. "Oh, don't worry…going nuts…it's part of my nature." He then surrounded himself in darkness, and as straight as a light beam, he gave a strong punch on Gordon's belly, making him spit blood. "BLAGH! GRR!" Gordon regained consciousness and empowered the magic runes in his body so that he could answer properly, but Avenger this time seemed more prepared about him, as his dodging started to become more frequent. "I've always wanted to do some boxing back in my times, so how about I show you what I can do?" Avenger asked. It didn't take long before he started to deliver several punches at Gordon, who felt every attack of his. "NGAAAAAAH!" He may have the ability to directly attack Servants, but with this, he was left with one large weak point.

"His apprehension to attack Servants leaves him too much exposed…and as such, he gets too many attacks and has more risks to get killed…" Kazuto was the one who explained the other Master's weak point. "At this point, he will get quartered in no time! Assassin!" Cahya called out for his Servant to help his comrade. "I'm coming!" Cleopatra immediately flew towards Avenger and pushed him away with a kick of her heel. "Gh!"

Without thinking twice, she grabbed Gordon and brought him to his Servant. "Thank you, Assassin! I knew I could count on a gorgeous woman like you! And thanks to you as well, Cahya!" Fergus thanked them, making Assassin blush. "T-This isn't the time!" She exclaimed. "Yeah! And you can't prefer her over me!" Rider of Red added. "Ok, stop it!" Alvis exclaimed.

Everyone turned on Avenger, who was still standing with that large smirk on his face. "Dammit…we have delivered several blows against him but it's almost as if he didn't feel any of them!" Calem observed. "His excitement is just too much to make him stop! He's just like a Cyberdyne System Model 101! What are we supposed to do!?" Astrea asked to the others.

"At least we have the confirm that we can still do something…even though…" Marcus said before everyone could hear a loud noise coming from above. When they looked up, they could see the ceiling getting destroyed and Saber of White diving towards Avenger, forcing him to jump back. "Ah!"

Not only him, but all the Masters and Servants (except Cynthia) came down and looked at the new enemy. "WE FOUND YOU!" Saber of White shouted as soon as he crossed his eyes with Avenger.

"The White Rose…they've reached us." Marcus observed. "My, my…heading towards the Red Rose and completely ignore us…that's kinda rude, you know?" Isak asked to the Servant, feeling a little bit offended. But Avenger didn't seem annoyed by this and leaned his head while looking at the leader of the White Rose. "Oh really? Then pardon if you feel offended, but I just went for the first ones I've seen. I'm sure that I would have come to you later!" He spoke.

By hearing that, Isak's eye twitched, sign that he felt insulted by that. "Don't start to talk big, now! As you can see there's seven of us! What gives you the certainty that you can get out of here alive!?" Oeneus exclaimed. "Uhm…Master? Actually, I think he's quite strong…" Caster of White told him.

"Don't think you can just get out without paying back. Whoever you are, you've just dug your own grave with this." Berserker of White said to Avenger. "For the first time, I have to agree with someone else here. You really should have stayed out of sight! But it seems that you want a taste of my destructive fire as well!" Saber of White added.

At this, Avenger coulnn't help but to laugh. "AHAHAHAH! MY MY! What a firing temper we have here! Just as I expected by someone like you! After all…you are one of the many reasons I've came here and disturbed your little play! I've heard that ever since you appeared, you were quite troublesome, so, don't you think the desire of seeing what you've got would have been spontaneous?"

"…Is that so? Is Saber's power one of the things you seek? That means that we are getting some attention…" Seram started before her dark aura started to rise again. "That means…that we got attention even from someone we don't know. I don't know if this is good…or bad news. But…of one thing I'm sure…if you attacked us…that makes you an obstacle as well. You really want to fight Saber? Fine…but remember that you asked for it…" She continued with a voice that almost sounded sharp.

"How fast they grow! At this point there's nothing more to add, my dear Seram. Do as you please." Isak tld her, feeling calmer after seeing his favorite's sudden newfound resolution. "Hmmm...It seems that this gentleman made her angrier…" Archer of White thought.

Seram nodded and turned on her Servant. "Do it." With that simple order, Saber of White threw himself against his new prey, almost as if he decided to obey her Master on his free will. Avenger was delighted to see this and jumped away from him with a large smile. "Yes! That's exactly what I wanted! Show me what you can do, titan!" He stated while charging several spheres of electricity.

Saber of White deflected them by using his sword and then shoot two laser beams from his eyes. Avenger flew away to get out from the lasers' trajectory. "Stop acting like a fly and get over here!" Saber of White shouted.

"Well, if you insist…" Avenger answered before dashing at high speed and delivering a powerful fist on Saber's heard, making him recoil. The monstrous Servant released a roar before wiping out Avenger with a large slap. He then proceeded to shoot a beam of fire from his sword to incinerate him, but the fifteenth Servant predicted something like that and dashed under the attack surrounded by shadow. Almost like some sort of dark spirit, Avenger flew around Saber of White's body, opening several wounds with several attacks by using his hands. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAH!" To get him away, Saber of Red released a small shockwave of fire that forced the other Servant to move away from him.

When he did so, Avenger could see several blasts coming in his direction, forcing him to continue to fly around the room to dodge them. "Hm?" When he looked down, he could see that both Archer and Berserker of White were shooting arrows and bullets at him, making the situation only more interesting for the gatecrasher. He flew high before diving down and make an impact like the one he used when he arrived inside the building to attack the two Servants, filling them with electricity. "NGHHHH!"

"Resist, Berserker!" Adewale encouraged his Servant, who gritted her teeth and threw herself on Avenger like a hungry predator. On the same time, Archer of White came closer and attacked the enemy with his giant coffin. Avenger blocked both attacks with his hands, but had to use some strength, as the two Servants of the White Rose were pushing hard as well.

"As far as I wished to know you better, I'm afraid that this isn't the right time to do so. Plus, we're enemies, so I'm forced to take you out." Archer of White jokingly said. "I could say the same for you. Judging by your personality and style, I could say that you are a nice gentleman. In fact…you remind me of someone…" Avenger replied with the same tone before his eye turned glowing red. "Someone I used to hate." After saying that, he charged energy from the hand he was using to block Archer of White's attack, making him have his eyes wide open. "Oh dea- AAAAAGH!" Cynthia's Servant couldn't even finish his sentence that he got blasted away. This gave Avenger way to deal with Berserker of White, starting to attack her with his arm covered in shadow, but to his surprise, Adewale's Servant lowered her head to dodge the attack and answered with a straight fist on his belly.

"GH!" The Servant had to grit his teeth for the pain while Berserker of White lifted him up with the same fist and threw him away. While in mid-air, Avenger opened his eyes and started to shoot several beams of electricity towards his enemy, who put herself on all fours and started to run while dodging the spheres. She then jumped and attacked Avenger with her hand. "TAKE THIS!"

The fifteenth Servant had to put his arms in front of himself to lighten the attack. This time the impact was weaker, and he could land on his feet this time, only to notice Archer of White starting to shoot missiles at him. Avenger was forced to immediately jump away to dodge the explosions while he answered at the other Servant with his spheres of electricity.

"Dammit…this is no good…as far as I would like to continue the battle, I cannot fight properly if I don't have back support from my Master. Therefore…the only thing I can do for now is to run away or I could end up dead!" Archer of White thought after looking at the situation. But in doing so, he didn't realize that Avenger dashed in front of him surrounded by shadow. "Surprise!" He said before releasing a double beam of electricity in front of Archer of White.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The Servant ended up getting full hit and badly wounded from that sudden attack, while Avenger was already charging the next one. "It seems that you'll be the first one to leave this- GAH!" Before he could do something, he got attacked on the back. By turning around, he could notice that he got assaulted by both Archer and Assassin of Red, that attacked him with a double kick. "Don't think you could forget about us!" The two Servants exclaimed. Archer of White made a smirk, as he could see the perfect chance to get away, just like he did. With a large jump, he left the battle zone and reached the upper floors to reunite with Cynthia and get away.

"Archer!?" Oeneus exclaimed. "Why is he getting away!?" Tygo added. "Do not get agitated. He's forced to, considering Cytnhia's current status." Isak explained to his subjected. He then turned to them with his usual smile. "There's absolutely no need to worry, my dears. There's still six of us. We can easily resist."

Even those of the Red Rose faction could notice Archer of White's escape. Naturally, it was Kazuto who understood the reason first, since he was the one who reduced the Servant's Master to that state that he forced him to retreat. "I see...he had a clever move then. He couldn't fight any longer in this state…" Marcus observed. "And I think we should do that as well." He then turned to Saber of Red. "Saber! Take your Master and get out of here!" He ordered.

"What? Are you sure, Marcus?" Cahya asked. "Absolutely. After getting attacked by Avenger in that way, he has the same risk as Archer of White's Master. And we can't afford to lose a member either if we want to hold our unity. So, it's better if you leave before he arrives!" Marcus explained.

"Who are you taking me for!? Just because I've got some wounds it doesn't mean that I can't fight! Don't try and stop- AGH!" Gordon tried to move, not liking the idea of abandoning the battlefield. Due to his strong will to fight, leaving the battle would have been insulting for him, as it meant to leave the victory to the opponent, but at the same time, he couldn't move well due to the injuries he got. It was his Servant, Fergus who made him reason. "As far as I'm proud to hear that you still want to continue, I'm sorry to say that he's right. Unfortunately, you could easily get killed at this point. So, for now it's better if we get safely. Next time will be better!" He told him.

Gordon looked at him in silence for some minutes. As far as he didn't like the idea, his reasoning seemed fair. It was his choice to whether risk his life to have one proud battle…or to get out and live to continue to fight for his faction. A tough choice for someone who wanted to show his pride on the battlefield. He would have hated to leave the battle like that, but…in the end…he decided.

"…Fine. But just for this time." He answered, with a little bit of regret in his tone. "Glad that you answered this way! Rider, will you be ok without me?" Saber of Red asked.

"Don't worry! You'll be here with this blade!" Rider of Red replied with a wink. "Now go!" Marcus added after seeing that Avenger was still fighting against Archer and Assassin of Red.

Fergus nodded and jumped away with Gordon. "Tch…I can't believe it had to go this way…" The Fragarthach mage thought while he and Saber of Red left the building.

"GET AWAY!" Avenger shouted as he pushed both Servants back with a double beam of electricity.

"Ngh!" Archer of Red immediately took her bow and started to throw several arrows of fire at the enemy, who started to fly high to dodge them, but while doing so, he suddenly got hit by a lightning and fell down. "Gh! What the!?" When he raised his head, he could see Rider of White with her lyre on her hands.

"You think you can fight?" Tygo asked to be sure. "Don't worry, Master. I may be low energy to summon my giant, but I should still have something to fight properly with Tauros." His Servant replied.

"Then I'll count on you." Tygo concluded, feeling more secure now. Rider of White didn't waste any time and summoned her beloved white bull to charge at Avenger, that flew high surrounded in shadow and then started to shoot spheres of electricity from above. The bull surprisingly started to move fast and dodged the spheres. The fifteenth Servant then tried to dive against him, but the bull was just waiting for this, as he answered with a powerful headbutt that pushed Avenger away.

"Man…things are starting to get hard, eh?" Avenger thought while looking at the approaching bull. He jumped on the right and flew backwards while shooting spheres of electricity. "Don't you think is a shame to harm such a beautiful creature?" He asked.

"My beloved pet has the duty to protect me from anything dangerous. He was made for this, and I trust him." Rider of White answered while the bull continued his charge. This time, Avenger decided to block him by holding his horns with the hands, but in that same moment, a blue beam hit him, making him fall. Avenger could notice Caster of White holding her scepter tight, meaning that she was the one to attack him. Seeing how it worked, Rider of White started to play her lyre to generate more lightnings while Caster of White continued to shoot beams from her staff.

Avenger was forced to move fast to dodge them, but this time the space was drastically reduced. "Judging by his strength, a nice strategy would be to limit his movements!" Caster of White said to her comrades. "Got it!" Rider of White replied.

"Good idea, Caster! Then let's do it!" Oeneus answered as well. The Animusphere mage was happy to see that despite the previous battle, she could still fight. But still, there was some evident fear for how this struggle would have ended. "Thanks to the armor, I should be able to fight against him, but if he could beat up a colossus such as their Saber's Master, I would be reduced to ashes in a matter of seconds!" He thought. Though, he could see that the others were doing their best even if they were tired from the massacre. Once again, he felt himself excluded. "No, wait…what am I thinking? I'm a Master, too, and if Caster gave me this chance, I should be able to use it, right?"

After taking that decision, he stood steady. "That's right. I do participate in this Holy Grail War as well…it's my time to shine, now that no one else is here!" He thought, referring to the other members of his family as well. With newfound determination, he dashed towards Avenger and, by taking advantage of his situation caused by the lightning and the beams, Oeneus was able to give him a solid fist right on his face, with everyone's general astonishment. "I-It worked!" He thought while having a satisfied smirk.

"What!? They have a Master that can harm Servants as well!?" Astrea exclaimed. "Now I remember! It's because of that armor! He did the same thing with Lancer when we battled yesterday!" Calem explained. "That could be a problem, then…how many talented people have you hired, Isak Svala Von Lud!?" Marcus thought.

But this attack didn't seem to bother Avenger, as he smirked. "Oh, you do that as well? INTERESTING!" He exclaimed as he put his palm on Oeneus's chest before releasing a beam of electricity from it. "OH NO! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Much like Gordon, even Oeneus couldn't resist to a Servant's attack and got pushed away while his armor got completely destroyed.

"MASTER! HOW DARE YOU!?" Taken by a sudden raptus of anger, Caster of White dashed against Avenger and started to attack with her iron gauntlet. The other Servant dodged those attacks easily and pushed threw her away with a kick. "AGH!"

"T-There goes my moment of glory…as always…" Oeneus commented while laying on the ground.

"MY TURN!" Lancer of White suddenly exclaimed as he rotated his lance and attacked Avenger, who blocked the weapon with his hand. "GRAAAAAAAAAAH!" At the same time, Berserker of Red attacked with his sword, making Avenger block it with his free hand. "To think that both factions are attacking me. It's almost as if you are teaming up!" The mysterious Servant jokingly said.

"We just share an enemy, that's all! I wouldn't team up with someone who doesn't think like me!" Lancer of White answered before pushing Avenger away with a kick. Then, he used his Innocent Monster skill to dash fast against Avenger and attack him more quickly. The fifteenth Servant immediately moved his head to the right in order to not get stabbed right in the head, but still, he got injured in the shoulder, with his coat getting torn in that point. Lancer of White continued like a possessed monster, managing to make a long cut on his belly. "NGHH!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" At the same time, Berserker of Red jumped to grab him and threw him away. Even Berserker of White attacked again, as she turned into a boar and charged. Avenger was starting to see some difficulties on the battle and flew high while surrounded by shadow. Berserker of White could see that coming and quickly turned back to normal to shoot an arrow that hurt him on the knee. In that same moment, Saber of White jumped to slam him down with his gigantic sword. "How's that for a taste of my power!?" He exclaimed, furious before shooting a beam of fire from such sword. Avenger widened his eyes and answered back with several beams of energy that succeeded, but he got immediately pushed back by Archer, Assassin and Rider of Red. "GAH!"

"Yes! We're doing it! Keep moving forward!" Alvis noticed while his Servant ran towards the enemy while holding the copy of the Caladbolg. Avenger was forced to move his head to dodge the attack, but Rider of Red's attack slowly started to get faster, as several small cuts started to form over his body. At this point, he could see that if he kept on doing so, he would have got overwhelmed by all of them, and as such, he jumped back. Even though, he couldn't have the time to do much, since Assassin of White headed towards him, attacking with his gourd bottle. "What? Think you could forget me?" The Oni Servant exclaimed while continuing her assault. "I wouldn't forget such an oriental beauty like you!" Avenger retorted with her same tone before jumping up and blasting several spheres of electricity, which slammed down Assassin of White.

"Don't think you can outsmart my treasure so easily! Do it Assassin! Crush him!" Maximilian ordered. Hearing her new lover's voice, made Assassin of White stand up again and run towards Avenger. The two of them started a clash of various physical attacks, and both seemed to be on the same level, until Assassin of White stunned the enemy with a punch on the chest and then pushed him away by throwing three plates at him. Avenger was pushed away, but stood still with his legs in order to not fly away…until he stopped.

He was breathing heavily, but that smirk on his face didn't seem to go away from his face. He wasn't frustrated by the upcoming disadvantage…

He seemed to love it, as if it was the only thing he wanted from this match.

"Are you still smiling even if you're about to leave this world? You do seem to not have any type of remorse. I'm sorry for your Master, but if it's death that you're searching we'll grant what you desire." Isak commented while Lancer of White swung his lance. "Time to get beheaded, vile man!" He spoke.

"NO! Leave it to me, it's what he deserves for being such an idiot!" Saber of White protested. "I think you understood what type of mistake you made…" Seram added.

"We've pushed him back, just like we wanted…" Cahya said to the others. "Maybe we could even defeat him, at this point?" Astrea wondered. "I don't know…there's still something that bothers me…" Caster of Red told her. But Marcus seemed to like this idea. If he got rid of Avenger, that would have meant one less unexpected obstacle on his way. He didn't care what he had to do, if he got the chance right now, he would have done everything. "Yes…time to finish him!" He thought as he was about to use one of his Command Seal…but then…Avenger spoke.

"Understood? I think you're wrong, young lady. Perhaps…it is you who misunderstood me." He said, referring to Seram, who was confused. "What…?"

In that moment, a dark smoke started to surround him. "What is he doing!?" Isak thought, sensing a terrible danger.

"I have to thank you all…even those who have left…you brought up a magnificent show for tonight. But even if I wanted to continue…I cannot afford to stay here for longer after seeing that even to the point of exhaustion, you can still answer. There's someone who needs the support of this errant spirit. Therefore…I'm afraid that I'll be forced to bring the curtain down." Avenger explained as the dark smoke turned into a blue flame.

Everyone felt greatly alarmed after seeing that. "Oh no! MASTER!" Berserker of White shouted, putting herself in front of Adewale. "W-WHAT IS HE DOING!?" He shouted as well.

"ASTREA! STAY OUT!" Even Caster of Red defended her Master, who was in over panicked after this, much like Kazuto who had his eyes wide open and tried to take recover while Archer of Red stood in front of him to defend him. "ARCHER LOOK OUT!"

And for the first time, even Isak and Marcus sensed what was the first real danger in this war….as they tried to make…an meaningless warning.

"EVERYONE! RUN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!"

"What follows next is the same sorrow I've put all those who enraged me in my previous life…let me show you what it feels to have despair…with a little bit of insanity." Avenger concluded before splitting up in several copies of himself, with each one aiming at all the pairs present in the room, who tried to get away as soon as possible…but with no effort. There was nothing that could prevent Avenger to use…his Noble Phantasm.

"ENFER CHATEAU D'IF!"

All the copies sent a blue beam that blasted everyone away, far from that building where they believed the object of their dreams was situated, thus ending that long struggle.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

They all got attacked. And the worst part was…that they were lucky that Avenger was weakened by the battle. If he had thrown the Noble Phantasm in a better state…no one would have been spared…no one…

"Don't worry…dear seekers of the Holy Grail…you will see me again." With those words, Avenger headed on the ceiling of the building…and flew away…like a shadow in the dark of that night.

Meanwhile, the crowd could see several blue beams coming out from the skyscraper, even the police commissioner, who was dismayed by such sight. "W-What the fuck!?"

"I think they've seen enough…it's better if we rectify." One of the priests said, making the other one nod and raise one of his arms and lower the other one, starting to spread his magecraft over all the civilians, who started to feel dizzy and then fell down asleep. The same happened to the police. "Oh, great…what…now…" The commissioner whispered before falling as well.

"I wonder what made them decide to fight in such a public place…" The first priest wondered while using his magecraft as well, so that all that were seeing the building would have forgotten such sight and memory. "I don't know…but one thing is for sure. They better be careful next time. Another accident like this would put everyone in trouble." The other priest added.

Tokyo – Ikebukuro – 16th April 2021 – 1.30 A.M

"G-Gh…" Tygo was the first one of the White Rose faction to wake up and look around. He soon understood that Avenger's attack pushed them far away from the building at Kabuki-Cho, as he noticed that they were all in the middle of a small wood. He could barely move after getting a blast like that, making him want to be grateful to whatever force moved the world for being still alive. "I-I-I-I-I'm...alive...oh God...oh God..."

"M-Master…" Rider of White called him. "Rider! You're…ok?" Tygo asked, worried. "S-Somehow…" The Servant replied. The young mage could have a breath of relief. He was already a paranoic person, but in that moment…he felt genuinely scared by seeing that Noble his face was pale and his body and voice were clearly shrieking And soon after that…even the other members of the White Rose woke up, though they weren't exactly feeling better.

"D-Dammit…for a moment…I thought to see death in front of me…that Servant is…terrible…much like our Saber." Adewale commented. "I wonder if he was serious…or if he was playing with us. And if the solution is the second one…I would be afraid…" Berserker of White added.

Seram was all curled up, as she still felt the heat from the attack. "DAMMIT! It burns…IT BURNS!" She shouted while his Servant punched the ground in a fit of rage. "FUCK IT ALL! I can't believe I've been pushed back by a dickhead like him! I swear, next time I'll see him I'LL MAKE SURE TO MAKE HIM FEEL ALL THE FLAMES OF MY BODY! THAT MISERABLE WORM PIECE OF SHIT!"

"Gh…one thing is for sure…we'll probably see him again…considering that he was having fun with us…by the way…I'm sorry, Caster…if I ended up with the armor destroyed…again." Oeneus then said, talking to his Servant. "Hey…it's alright. Don't panic as always…what matters is that you're safe. Plus, I thought you were cool when you punched him the face! It seems that we're seeing some improvement!" Caster of White answered.

As usual, The Animusphere mage didn't expect that compliment and didn't know what to say.

"And here I thought I was about to finish him off…instead…he's the one who won in the end." Assassin of White commented while holding her shoulder. "Just when we were having fun…another possibility to prevail wasted…and worst of all…" Maximilian added.

"…It turned out that the Grail wasn't there." Adewale concluded the line for him.

The most perplexed one was Isak, who looked up in the sky. Feeling…confused for the first time…but most of all…offended. His rage was notable by his hand, soaked in blood. closed to a fist. He, a mage who always had everything under control…made a mistake…and the worst part was that it was not directly all of his fault. He was clearly furious…But he wouldn't let the others know.

"Master?" Vlad asked. "…Let's head back…the operation failed…maybe even from the start." Isak then finally spoke with a tone of disappointment. "And…I know this may sound regular…but it's better that we all rest for tomorrow. This battle weakened all of us…so if we want to fight back, it's better that we gain our forces back. You're all free tomorrow…that's…all."

"A fair…reasoning. But are you sure?" Maximilian asked. That made Isak instantely turn around with his eyes glowing red. "Do not make me repeat." He said with a cold tone.

Maximilian blocked himself and answered. "O-Ok…I get it…"

"…Come on…let's go. Cynthia is still alone." And with that simple order…Isak made everyone go back. They were all hardly walking. Limp was probably the right way to describe their movements. No one said anything during the travel. After all…there was nothing to say. Just that…everything went terribly wrong.

Isak walked with his cane while blood was still pouring down from his head and his hand was trembling. Disappointment…defeat…fury…frustration. These feelings were typically unusual for him, and it was the first time he had all these feelings together. He could not stand…to be foiled.

"How could everything go wrong…That was the signal of the Grail…none other thing could have contacted me with so much magical energy…but that room was empty…to think that I could have been so close to victory…and then a simple mistakes take everything away…I can't stand it…and I won't allow it to happen again…but most of all…Avenger's Master…whoever you are…if you think you can make fun of me in that way…then I will let you know that your days are now numbered. I don't know if this was all a prank of yours...but don't think you can get away with this victory…whatever happens…I'll make sure to find you and end your life personally…no one makes fun of me. No. One." He thought while leaving.

Tokyo – Idabashi – 16th April 2021- 1.45 A.M

The Red Rose faction ended up on a different part of the town, still far from the skyscraper. But their conditions weren't better than those of the different faction.

"We're still alive…but…" Cahya said. "…For miracle…this…was a crushing defeat for everyone. And now there's even a new problem that we must face…" Marcus continued the line with a gloomy expression on his face.

"Man…and to think I was starting to be slightly positive…maybe I was expecting too much…" Astrea said, feeling down. "Don't be sad, Master. You did what you could. After all…it's better this way than lose entirely our faction, right?" Caster of Red said to the others.

"…I don't know…honestly. Just that…everything sucks right now…" Alvis answered. "…Should we head back, Marcus? Gordon and Saber are probably waiting for us…" Rider of Red then asked to the leader of the faction, who lowered his head before giving his answer. "…Yes. Let's go…you can turn spiritual, Berserker. You've made your duty."

"Arthuuuur…" Berserker of Red said, thinking about Berserker of White, before turning in his spiritual form. And with that…even the Red Rose as well started to go back to their headquarter. Caster of Red had to carry Astrea on her back due to the girl's injured leg.

Then…during the travel, Marcus gave an announcement that, somehow, was similar to Isak's. "You are free to not come to the headquarter tomorrow."

"Uh? What do you mean?" Calem asked. "…You have a day off." Marcus simply answered, not wanting to go down into details.

"Are you sure?" Lancer of Red asked. "We don't know if the White Rose will do the same…." Cleopatra added. "It's probable. We've all used our energies. They would be crazy if they wanted to fight after what happened tonight. While it's true that we can recover quickly, I think it's still better if we get at least one day of rest if we want to think for a new strategy and fight well. It's the better choice...we have already risked a lot right now." Marcus insisted.

"Ok, then…" Cleopatra said, with a general agreement. The return to the headquarter was luckily calm. After all that happened, it was hard to imagine that something else would have occurred. Though…this surely didn't help to light up the mood. They were all silent as they continued to walk. There simply…was nothing to say.

Some of them were upset…some of them were disappointed…some of them…just wanted to rest, so they wanted to go to the headquarter as soon as possible and then go back home.

Kazuto in particular was thinking of everything that happened that day. The reunion they had, that conversation with his Servant, his little fight with Seram, the announcement of the Grail…the large rumble that occurred inside that building including his long fight against Cynthia…the discovery of the truth…and then the reveal of a fifteenth Servant.

For him…so many things happened that it was hard to elaborate them, added to the pressure he felt when he thought he could almost die…he just didn't want to keep them in mind now…he just wanted to be in a safe space.

Archer of Red could feel his discomfort in that moment…but for now she couldn't do much…so she leaned her hand on his shoulder while looking down and moving forward. The Tohsaka mage didn't say or do anything…but he still appreciated the thought.

Tokyo – Red Rose Headquarter – 16th April 2021 – 2.00 A.M

"So, it ended like that?" Gordon asked, after hearing the complete story. After he and Saber of Red got away, they returned to the headquarter and rested in there, waiting for the others to return, while Gordon started to slowly heal himself (since he knew something about healing magecraft). "In that case…as much as I hate to admit it…we've all got lucky. It seems…that we are not ready for that Servant yet…" Saber of Red added.

"But we'll see him again surely. Either we track him down…or he'll find us first…another battle with him is surely inevitable." Gordon said.

"The fact that we pushed him back is already something. But…it's still not enough, considering that we almost got killed…" Marcus answered. "I think Saber of White still remains our strongest threat…but that Avenger guy is terrible as well…" Assassin of Red added.

"And he's shrouded in mystery as well. We basically don't know anything about him…especially the identity of his Master." Lancer of Red spoke. "All things have their time. But everything will turn out eventually." Calem answered for her. "For now…it's better if we go home. I'll have a quick ramen and then I'll go to sleep. Sorry if I'm in a hurry, but…I'm just tired…" He added before going towards the exit with his Servant. "…Good night, everyone." Then, he and Lancer of Red saluted everyone.

After that, Marcus left without saying a word and in a hurry. "You think he's fine?" Cahya asked. "I don't think so…he's probably the most depressed here after everything that happened…" Astrea answered, giving her opinion. "Well…can you blame him?" Caster of Red added.

Alvis then turned to Gordon. "What will you do?" He asked. "Don't worry. I think I'll stay here for a couple of minutes and then head home as well…I think I still need some rest. But next time I'll make sure to not hold myself." The Fragarthach mage answered, showing some of his pride. "I don't go down that easily. You can be sure of that."

"Me and Assassin will stay with him, considering that I live here." Cahya then said to everyone. "Well…since Marcus has left without saying a word…I think that you're all free to go…" Assassin of Red added. And so, they did…considering that there was nothing left to add.

Everyone just headed out and went on their way…

Marcus, in the meantime, punched against a wall in an alley while gritting his teeth. "Why this had to happen!? How could I be tricked in this way!? To think that I could feel the victory near me and finally bring my family to its proper place! But now…not only I discover that the Grail wasn't there, but that there's also a fifteenth participant in this war with a dangerous Servant on their side! DAMMIT! But I couldn't be wrong! That was the Holy Grail, I felt it! Nothing else could have that large amount of magical energy to communicate with me! Is it mocking me!? Hear me out, Grail, are you perhaps taking fun of me!? I cannot afford to get overwhelmed all by this!" He had a small outburst of rage before he started to breath heavily while sweat passed down from his head. As a militaristic person, who always thought of the perfect strategy to win, he felt hurt by everything that happened that night. He got tricked by something or someone he couldn't expect…and that was enough to make him irritate. But he couldn't lose his temper even if he wanted…or he could have been taken out easily. "Anf…anf…I…need to calm down…just like Calem said…all things have their time…I'll find a way to make everything work out…I'm Marcus Graint Yggdmillenia…and it's my destiny to win this war with my faction…I just…need to be patient…" He added. "And…go home for now…"

Tokyo – White Rose Headquarter – 16th April 2021 A.M – 2.05 A.M

At the castle of the White Rose faction, everything was silent, as most of the members went to bed. But among them…there was someone who couldn't sleep perfectly.

Cynthia…who was in one of the many rooms, staring at the wall with a dull expression, which was only a mask to hide her anger. She got better thanks to Caster of White's supportive magecraft, but she could still feel the pain caused by Kazuto's last attack…and she was just thinking about that. About the outcome of her battle. She was among the ones who felt the worst after that night, especially…after her defeat with that mage.

Why? Why did it happen? In that moment, that boy was down. She was the winner. But he just stood up and deliver a blow that completely devastated her. With a single fist, he was able to complete overthrow the situation and win. That was…just too ridiculous and stupid to happen. And the worst thing was that…it happened to her. She participated in the war to finally become the person she always wanted to be…and still…she lost.

"…I…I just can't understand…with that brass guy everything went well…and even now everything was- Grrr…dammit…I can't even properly speak at this moment…that…insignificant event is just fucking up with my mind! I…I…" Cynthia talked while feeling cold and shivers all over her body. Pure and genuine demoralization was pervading her heart. What would have happened if Archer of White didn't come back to rescue her after Avenger attacked? She would have gotten killed and be the first one to lose, and she couldn't afford to get defeated that soon. But this time she risked a lot…and all of that…because of a boy she thought was the simplest participant of the war. But she turned out to be wrong…and she hated that.

"Lose…me!? I…I've studied hard to reach this point and now…lose like this would be…just an insult…and…" Cynthia continued until she looked at the pendant she was holding and…once again…she thought of that sentence.

"Perhaps you should stop having all these megalomaniac ideals, Cynthia. The world is not like what you think."

"SHUT UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP!" She suddenly shouted up and then started to punch a column repeatedly with her bare fist. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UUUP! STOP BEING IN MY FUCKING HEAD, DAD! IT'S YOUR FAULT IF I COULDN'T BE THE PERSON I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE! YOU AND YOUR FUCKING PESSIMISM! BECAUSE OF YOU OUR FAMILY HAD BEEN SLOWED DOWN! I CAN'T FUCKING STAND YOU! FUCK IT ALL! NEXT TIME I'LL SEE THAT BOY I'LL MAKE SURE TO SHRED HIM IN TO PIECES!" Her mental breakout continued as she kept on punching the column, not caring about the crack that was formed or the blood that came out from her fist. Until she stopped. Her breathing became heavy, and she fell down on her knees…and even tears started to fall down from her eyes…tears of sorrow.

"D-Dammit…I'm…I'm not weak…I'm…not weak…" She quietly said as she continued to cry for the frustration. For her…this was just a bad day.

Meanwhile, Archer of White was on the next room, looking at the closed door. After hearing her, he turned around and started to move away. Caster of White was in there too, finding the other Servant's behavior strange. "You don't…comfort her?" She asked.

"It's better not…she needs to face this frustration by herself to mature and realize her mistake. There is…a lesson that she needs to learn." Archer of White answered with his usual tone of a gentleman before leaving. Caster of White remained there confused, hoping that Cynthia would have felt better, even if she wasn't her Master.

Tokyo – Tohsaka Residence – 16th April 2021 – 2.10 A.M

And in the end…even that night…Kazuto could turn back to his house. The one place he wanted to be in that exact moment. For now…all that he wanted was to go on his bed and get a well-deserved rest. "Mom is probably sleeping…so it's better if we don't make any type of noise…and you will probably go in your spiritual form, Archer." He said to his Servant.

"Oh! Right…" The female Servant answered, almost sounding like she was daydreaming. "Are you alright?" Her Master asked to be sure.

"…To be honest…not really. Other than being extremely exhausted…I was thinking about what Avenger said…about release my own nature…" Archer of Red answered with sincerity, not wanting to make her Master worry. "Do…do you really think I should be…like he says? Do I really look more like a demon than a human?" She asked.

"I'm not an expert in these types of conversations, but…I think that the best thing you can do is to ignore what he said. He just wanted to mess up with your head. Be free to be whatever you want to be…or at least…that's what I think…?" Kazuto answered.

This made Archer of Red smile. "Thank you…I honestly don't appreciate the fact that I became a demon in the first place…but…if it helps me to fight then I'll use it. But I still don't like the idea…so, I'll try to use your advice! After all…you're right…he is an enemy. His words annoyed me in the first place…well…shall we go in?" She said, making Kazuto nod.

After that little chat, Kazuto entered inside the house as slowly as possible while Archer of Red turned into her spiritual form. He could see that his mother was sleeping with a calm expression on her face, and he ended up envying her a little. At least, she could live with normality, a thing that, unfortunately, he lost when he was sent to jail four years earlier.

He then went upstairs, changed clothes and laid down to his bed, with Archer of Red standing on her futon. "Goodnight, Master." She said before starting to sleep.

"Night…" Kazuto simply said. He didn't sleep immediately. First, he looked on the window, hoping to close his eyes soon.

"So, the Grail wasn't there…maybe it's a good thing…I don't know what would have happened if either one of us would have taken it. And then…that Avenger guy…how is it possible that there's a fifteenth Servant? Where did he come from?" He thought. "If I'm correct…he called his Noble Phantasm…'Enfer Chateau D'If'…Chateau D'If…where have I heard that name before?"

Tokyo – On top of the Government Palace – 16th April 2021 – 2.13 A.M

The mysterious fifteenth Servant, Avenger, was standing on top of the giant government palace, looking at the city of Tokyo from there, while the wind moved his coat, making him look like some sort of overseer. After leaving the building at Kabuki-Cho, he went somewhere to regenerate from the wounds of the battle…and that smile still didn't leave his face, meaning that he was more than satisfied with what he got.

"Glad to see…that this Holy Grail War has an amazing cast that could resist even at my sudden entrance. Maybe, now that I've put more pressure in them, things will start to become more interesting…maybe this is the end of the first act…who knows? Either way…it seems that my presence can still bring some effect on those who surround me…especially in a negative way, and I don't mind that." He said before spreading his arms. "I hope you will entertain me more, o desperate mages and Heroic Spirits who wish for a change in their lives, as this war proceeds. Man…I wish to already see the grand finale…but there wouldn't be much entertainment in this. Plus…as I always said…humanity's wisdom can be contained in just two words. Attendre…et Espèrer…"

And with this, we've done this chapter as well. Can you imagine that we are already at the 10th Chapter? The last time was with Digimon Adventure 04 over three years ago (with a chapter that I think was pretty good)! I do hope that, with this, I can reach chapter 10 even with the rest of my stories, and as always, I must thank your support for this result!

As for the chapter itself, it naturally became shorter than the previous one, considering that this was more of a part 2 of that episode, and that it was hard to make a chapter as long as that. Though I'll say that the battle ended up being much longer than expected! I did my best to make everyone fight against Avenger, though some fought more, some less, still, once again, I can feel to be satisfied with the obtained result, considering that I could highlight the real star of this chapter! I think that in some parts I might have made him go out of his character, but that's also the good of Fanfictions: you can sometime allow yourself to try something different from the original material. But I still tried to be loyal to the original transposition made by TYPE-MOON, just like I do with the other Servants (Let me know if the personality seemed different or not). Plus, I'm sure that someone will ask "Why everyone resisted against Avenger's Noble Phantasm?" And the reason is simply because he was weakened by the battle, and I couldn't let twelve Servants die already (Since I could notice someone fussy among the reviewers. I know that you care about story and details and i always hope to satisfy your expectations. It's not a rant, only a consideration. So, just know that some choices are made to make the plot move on even if they sound ridiculous. Some of those reviews made perfectly sense, I absolutely don't want to feel superior to anyone, hearing your opinion is absolutely important to improve myself in writing, but I think others might have overreacted).

And with this, we're done! Naturally, after all this frenetic action and plot twists, the next chapter will be much calmer and relaxing, since I'm not that sadistic XD! And as always, it's time to know your opinion! Did you like this chapter? What do you think of the fight? And most importantly, what do you think of Avenger, the new entry and the last Servant that finally made his appearance? As always, let me know with your reviews! Again, your opinion is important! Thank you once again for the support you're giving me for this story and we'll meet again the next chapter (or in the next chapter of another story of mine, who knows?).

From Bluestar here, Arrivederci!
