A vast, magnificent landscape resplendent with decommissioned facilities he was all too familiar with came into view beneath Dr. Kevin Ulrik as the drop ship flew over the wall and into the arena. With the experiments that went on in a few of those facilities covered up as nothing more than a wild conspiracy theory and the surviving test subjects left to rot after having their memories wiped, Ulrik was forced to join these barbaric games in order to continue his work. But this was no setback. As it turned out, he rather enjoyed conducting research in the field.

His eyes finally locked on a good spot to land from behind his protective goggles.

"As the jump master," he assured his allies. "I'll lead us to where we claim the most lives."

"Copy that," the robot replied.

His other ally said nothing. For a moment, Ulrik thought he heard a faint I'm with ya, doc, but it was just in his head, a mental relic from a past life. It was the go-to phrasing of his former assistant, Alexander Nox. Always, Over here, doc or Hey doc, what about this? A bright, innovative young lad who unfortunately, and unwillingly, gave his life in the name of science. The first of many to experience the devastating effects of Ulrik's latest gaseous compound. In Ulrik's own pragmatic reasoning, losing Alex was an acceptable loss when it came to confirming the extent of what he believed to be a perfect masterpiece, even with their years of history working together. To honor his assistant, he filed the deadly concoction under the designation 'Noxious Gas'.

Once in range of the destination he had in mind, the mad scientist jumped out of the drop ship with his teammates closely in tow. Something about the wind screaming past his face and rippling across his body caused a powerful surge of adrenaline to suddenly course through his veins.

"I feel the most alive when rapidly approaching my death!" he cried.
