"We have a new Kill Leader," the robotic female's voice confirmed through the arena's loudspeakers.
Gibraltar was surprised to see his picture up on a massive LED banner draped in front of a cliff face.
"Wow, look at that," he said to Bloodhound. "I'm the new Kill Leader."
"Good job, Felagi Fighter. The Gods are on our side," Bloodhound replied.
Gibraltar couldn't help but agree with that sentiment. There had to be something looking out for the two of them after that narrow getaway. Sure, he'd called for the mortars, but no one that may have witnessed the spectacle from afar had moved in to clean up the scraps and claim the easy loot for themselves. Not to mention the champions. If they had been at that battle, they weren't among the dead scattered about. Then again, the ring was closing soon. Gibraltar checked his mini map. Upon seeing where they had to go, he knew their work was cut out for them.
A sudden flapping of wings made him look over as a large black crow perched itself on his partner's outstretched forearm.
"Let us go," Bloodhound declared.
And so, with level two and level three body armor, heavy weapons, and enough ammo to cut Mt. Everest in half, the Kill Leader's squad made its way towards Skulltown.
