R'ka flexed her mandibles in a smile as she looked at the tiny little ooman female in her arms. Never would she have imagined being in the position she was in now. She had yet to experience her first breeding cycle, and yet she'd now taken a Chiva twice, and could claim a pair of Lifemates! She had a home, a Clan, along with Lifemates that she loved and who loved her in return.
Once she was placed back on her feet, Jen smiled at R'ka before putting her helmet back on. She stepped over to the dead male and took his game bag. Extending the blade from her left gauntlet, she cleaved his head off and stuffed that in to his own game bag. She began stripping the body of weapons and armor, but paused when she got to the gauntlet containing his wrist computer. She held it up as she turned to face R'ka, who had picked up her own game bag and was collecting trophies from a pair of dead drones.
"Think we can use this to find that bastard's ship?" Jen asked smugly.
"If that computer isn't locked, we can. If it is locked, then the ship will need to be found by searching for it." R'ka replied while smiling. "There is a technician aboard our ship who can operate it for you."
"In that case let's go, we've got a ship to find." Jen nearly sang happily.
As R'ka walked beside her ooman mate, she realized that while she had the same number of skulls as her first Chiva, she actually had more trophies this time. She would proudly proclaim to anyone that asked, that she owed everything she would ever gain in her life to Jen! The body of the ooman female might be small, but R'ka knew that the honor and passion contained in that tiny body was even larger than any planet Jen might be on.
BREAK
[Black Yautja vessel, state your intentions!]
[I am Technician Dachande. I am returning from a Chiva with two successful candidates who are now Young Bloods. One of them has surprisingly captured a Black Yautja ship and it is slaved to this one.]
[Greetings Dachande, I am Arbitrator Setg'in. Are you certain that there is no one aboard the captured vessel?]
[Arbitrator Setg'in… nice to speak with you again! Call me Jen. I'm the human female you met a few days ago. I got me another ship, so what do you suggest I do with this one?]
The noted Arbitrator put his right hand against the face of his mask and shook his head while huffing in exasperation. Somehow, that ooman female had gained yet another Black Yautja vessel as a trophy! [Ooman Jen… I have only one such suggestion at this time. I will tell you to keep this particular trophy!]
Jen looked over at R'ka with a smirk, when she suddenly got an idea. She acted on it quickly as she spoke up. [Arbitrator Setg'in, I would like to speak with you in private about something once we land.]
[That will not be difficult to accomplish, since I will be following your ship.]
[Excellent!] Jen exclaimed.
The Arbitrator followed the two ships until one was deposited on the ground, and the other landed not far away. He landed his own vessel right next to theirs so that he could disembark quickly. He actually met the group as they were emerging from the ship.
"Go on and head home R'ka. I'll meet you there as soon as I finish speaking with the Arbitrator." Jen instructed.
Jen waited until R'ka was far enough away to be beyond hearing range. "I have a recording of a Black Yautja Arbitrator admitting to the murder of R'ka's mother. He planned the whole thing and got his brothers to help him carry out the plan so they could capture R'ka and make her into a pauk slave. Can you get a copy of that recording from my helmet?" Jen explained quietly.
"Yes, I can. This is a very serious matter if an Arbitrator is involved. Though I don't know what can be done to resolve the situation." Setg'in answered gravely.
"Just so long as someone has proof that I've only killed criminals in R'ka's defense." Jen stated.
"As far as I know, no one has doubted you… or her for that matter." Setg'in replied as he tapped some instructions into his wrist computer. He was surprised that Jen's computer was already unlocked. Locating the mentioned recording was easy because it marked as being important. There was a second recording also marked that way and out of curiosity, he also copied that one for later review.
Jen knew exactly which two recordings had been copied, because her computer told her. That was perfectly fine with her, since both recordings were evidence in the crimes against R'ka. After the Arbitrator made his copies, she was happy to head back to the Clan compound with the trophies she was able to carry.
xXx
As he left the landing area after meeting with the ooman, Arbitrator Setg'in pondered what he should do with the information he now possessed. He decided that the only thing he could do would be to present the recordings to the senior most Arbitrator, and let that one make a decision.
Setg'in stopped for a few moments so that he could review the recordings. What he found was an extreme amount of dishonor. This Black Yautja by the name of Hult'ah had dishonored all of those who were supposed to enforce Honor. This matter was not something that could be ignored!
Setg'in entered the office of Thwei-de Thei. She was not only the most senior of the Arbitrators, but also an Ancient as well. At more than eight hundred years of age, she had been hunting and killing Bad Bloods for more than six hundred years. He was certain that she would be able to come up with a solution to this dilemma.
"Arbitrator Setg'in, what is the reason you wanted to speak with me about?" Thwei-de Thei asked immediately.
"I have a pair of recordings that I need you to see." Setg'in began. "They involve true dishonor among the Black Yautja Arbitrators."
"The actions of the Black Yautja do not concern us, so why do you consider this matter to be important?" Thwei-de Thei replied.
"Because the intended victim has passed her Chiva this day and is now numbered among the members of the Broken Knife Clan. Dishonor of this magnitude should not be ignored." Setg'in answered.
"Very well. I will see these recordings." Thwei-de Thei stated with obvious resignation.
Setg'in transmitted the two recordings to the Senior Arbitrator and waited patiently while the Senior Arbitrator watched them. He knew that she was viewing the earlier of the two recordings because of the anger that became apparent almost immediately. It only took a few minutes for the old female to view the recordings, before she laid her mask on the desk before her.
"This regards the same Black Yautja female who lives among us now, doesn't it?" She demanded heavily after she'd seen both of the recordings.
"Yes, it does."
"You are correct, Setg'in. This is not something that can't be ignored. I will have to bring this to the attention of the High Matriarch, but whether or not it can be dealt with remains to be seen."
Thwei-de Thei watched the Arbitrator leave her office. She knew that other than genetic modifications, the Black Yautja placed a very high value on honor. They would tolerate corruption in the ranks of their Arbitrators no more than the Yautja. She knew that their Arbitrators would be irate upon learning what had been done. The question became one of how to inform them. She decided that she would have to allow the High Matriarch to do so.
BREAK
Thwei-de Guan could not believe her senses! She could see that the ooman female was flushed with emotion, and she even could smell an anger as intense as Bearer's Rage. She had come to congratulate her newest Clan members, not witness something like this.
"R'ka is mine! I don't care who the sorry piece of shit is, Kwei. If it isn't you or me, they better not touch her! They better give their soul to whatever God they believe in, because their fucking skull is going on my wall! If there's anything left of it after I get through with them!" Jen yelled angrily.
Jen was pissed! No… actually… she was well beyond that. She knew she was in the kind of mood that would make the forces of Hell take off running for their lives. She knew that R'ka was home, and was now safe, so she could now safely be as emotional as she wanted.
Jen's team had always called it her 'mama bear reaction'. Thankfully, the rage and adrenalin shakes always occurred after the action was long over with and everyone was safe. She was still raging and screaming when she was grabbed from behind.
R'ka lifted Jen from the floor and turned the little ooman to face her. She pulled Jen close to her and almost instantly, Jen stopped her screaming and yelling rant.
Thwei-de Guan was very surprised to see just how fast the ooman female went from a raging tempest to wrapping her arms around the Black Yautja female and sobbing quietly.
"Jen… she is safe now. You brought R'ka home. That is all that matters." Kwei said quietly.
"My apologies, Matriarch. Jen always gets like this when R'ka or myself is in a dangerous situation that Jen resolves. She can even be much worse than a Bearer if one of us is imperiled." Kwei intoned.
"Sorry Ma'am. I can be a kinky bitch when I want to, but God knows, I'm always a jealous bitch! Kwei and R'ka are mine! I'll kill anyone who tries to take them from me, I don't care what their reason is!" Jen said to the Clan Matriarch.
Instead of putting her ooman down, R'ka sat down in a chair that was sized for her while holding Jen tightly.
"That is twice that males from that Clan have tried to make me into a mindless pauk slave. That is twice you have pried me from their grasp." R'ka said seriously.
Jen could feel those great big and powerful arms shaking with emotion. She didn't know if it was anger, fear, or relief causing R'ka's reaction, and she didn't really care right then. The only thing that really mattered to her at that moment was that R'ka was safe.
"You already know that I'll do it even if it kills me." Jen replied firmly.
"I know." R'ka said softly. "Even while dying, you took me from their clutches."
"Setting R'ka free would have been the last act of your life, but you resisted the Dark Hunter long enough to free her. That was when she was a stranger to you. Now? I don't think you would hesitate to fight Cetanu for one of us." Kwei stated softly.
"You're right. I wouldn't." Jen answered solemnly.
"Most would think you exaggerate, but I believe you actually mean it." Thwei-de Guan said slowly after looking closely at the ooman female. "You seem to care for these two much as a Bearer cares for a young pup."
"That, she does." Kwei replied evenly. "I have known her for a few years now, and she doesn't hesitate to give R'ka and I the same care and concern of a very attentive Bearer. She guards both of us and is insistent upon seeing to every injury… no matter how insignificant it is."
"I belong to Jen. I can say that easily enough, even though it is often considered an insult to belong to another. I can say that, because Jen equally belongs to me." R'ka said as she flexed her mandibles in a smile.
Jen's eyes shot wide and she immediately pulled her right hand from R'ka's back and stuck a finger in the female's face. "You are not my property!"
"Perhaps not… but I am yours!" R'ka said with a chuckle before spreading her mandibles to give Jen a kiss.
"Damned right you are, you great big sexy woman!" Jen replied before putting her hand behind R'ka's head and pulling the female into a deep passionate kiss.
"You belong to Kwei and I." R'ka stipulated after the kiss was over. "We do not intend to share you, either!"
"Good! Because I don't want anyone else. Someone else tries for a piece of me, and they'll find out why I've got five oversized Yautja skulls on my wall!" Jen replied seriously.
Thwei-de Guan couldn't resist a chuckle at that. The two females were certainly different, but it was clear that they cared for each other as much as any Bearer would care about a newly birthed suckling. It was definitely unusual, but all three were very happy with the arrangement.
It was almost as if the three of them were separate parts of one whole. She had lived for a long time, but Thwei-de Guan had never seen anything like this before. If any one of them were other than calm, the other two would immediately act as one to calm the third. It was very telling that they each wanted peace and harmony in their trio.
Thwei-de Guan marveled at how the three radically different individuals came together to act as one while doing things as simple as preparing a meal. Communication between them seeming minimal, while the results were the same as if meticulously planned. The Clan Matriarch could only wonder how the trio would operate in combat together.
