Location: Pizzaplex - Superstar Daycare

Time: 9:43pm

"Hidey Hide...Hide away...but you can't hide from me forever."

Gregory hears the taunts of the moon-faced Jester just outside as he flips the switch of a third generator that he managed to locate on the one of the higher levels of the labyrinthine playground.

'Three down, two more to go'. Gregory counted.

The first three generators were a breeze to find as they were in the same play area. Furthermore, what was also helpful was the fact that each generator was connected to the facility by large black wires that protruded from the ground and, when Gregory followed where they led, he could instantly locate where they were.

Gregory indeed had some close calls with Daycare attendant trying to grab him from behind the bars but he came out relatively uncharted as his hands were too big to fit into some of the gaps or simply because Gregory was alert and nimble on his feet.

However, after having now been through the entire play structure, Gregory soon realised that the other two generators were located on the other side of the playground. Said other side unfortunately couldn't be crossed over by a bridge or long tunnel. Meaning that he had to creep there in the darkness without using his flashlight and alerting the Jester. Gregory stares ahead, looking for the nearest and safest place that he could run into and, upon seeing it, switches the flashlight off for now and begins to creep over to the other side.

He's halfway there when he hears the sound of jingling bells behind him.

"Bad Children must be found! Bad Children must be punished!"

Gregory turned around, just to quickly check how far the Attendant was from him, and he could see that it was tiptoeing towards him, slowly increasing his speed as he did so. It would be funny if it weren't so intimidating.

"There you are!"

Gregory sees a group of 7 circular cushions stacked on top one another and, without thinking, he takes one out from the middle (as the top one was too high for him to reach) and tosses it towards the Daycare attendants face before continuing to run into the next plastic fortress ahead.

It hits the Attendant's face with a loud thunk but it doesn't falter...that is until it sees the mess Gregory made toppling the other pillows!

"Grgggh clean up! Clean up!" He grumbles. The moon-faced Jester slows down and methodically tries to stack the pillows back to its correct position.

'Hmmm...He has a compulsion to clean up things...Interesting'. Gregorynoted down this observation for a second before he looked away and made his way up one of the low reclining blue slides that lead to the top.

Gregory found that this section of the playground was less protected than the other areas because the tunnels had wider holes and gaps in them and also, there were less nettings on some of the slopes. Thus, he had to be more cautious because with these structural reductions, the attendant could grab him from anywhere.

After going up the slide, he heads into more claustrophobic tunnels and sees the second one in the left tunnel and switches it on.

'Ok. Time to find the last one'.

Gregory wanders about, hoping that the Attendant was still busy with the clean up and as he did, he realised he couldn't find it inside the area and thus, he had to now go outside. Racing past the red cages and rainbow floors, Gregory uses his flashlight and shines it downwards from a high platform, attempting to search for the last generator by standing at a place that gave him a (seemingly good) vantage point. He looked at one side and then the other and saw instantly that the next generator was on the left, just next to a green slide.

Gregory immediately ran towards the direction of where the green slide's entrance could be and, upon seeing it, slid down and saw the generator next to him.

He grinned and flipped the last switch. Any moment now the lights would be back on and -

"Knock Knock".

Gregory is grasped violently in both of the Attendant's large hands once more, "You're coming with me to Mr Afton!"

FLASH

"Raaagh!"

The Attendant dropped Gregory in shock as the abrupt turning on of the lights blinded him, causing him to drop Gregory in order to shield his eyes. He immediately began to transform back into its Sunny self.

"Noooo!" The Moon shrieked. The Sleeping cap was pulled back into some hidden compartment as his face suddenly spun 360 degrees.

FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP FLIP

The spikes at the Sun's side re-emerged as his head completed its rotation and the larger portion of his face slowly faded from black to to orange. His yellow and red striped patterns on his pants also returned, dissolving the blue fabric and stars away.

Gregory blinked. He is curious as to how the Daycare Attendant's transformation worked. It actually looked kind of cool up close.

Letting out one last groan, The Daycare attendant (now back to normal) removed his hands from his face. He looked left and right in bewilderment before settling his eyes on Gregory.

"YOU!"

"AHH!" Gregory was abruptly grabbed and carried by the Daycare Attendant again. However, this time, the currently Sun-Faced Jester was very pissed off.

"RULEBREAKER! RULEBREAKER!" He screeched furiously into the boy's face, "FIRST YOU AIM A KNIFE AT ME! AND THEN YOU BREAK MY ONLY RULE! YOU ARE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE DAYCARE!"

The Sun opens the large wooden gates and drops Gregory gently outside despite his intense feelings of wrath.

"THE OTHERS WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU! SECURITY ALERT! SECURITY ALERT! WOOO WOOO WOO!" The Daycare Attendant mimicked a Police Siren with a booming voice before gliding back into his domain.

Gregory heard noises from above him almost immediately. True to his word, the Daycare Attendant had indeed alerted and summoned the others to his location.

"You are the best. You can find him before the rest." Roxy confidently boasted from the top right.

"Little boy, our friendly security Guard can help you find your family!" Chica chirped from the top left, "And so can I!"

"Hey kid come out, we are only trying to help!" Monty's Southern drawl calls out to him in the same direction.

"Freddy! If you're here with the others," Gregory whispers urgently into his Fazwatch, "Now's a good time to come get me. I'm at the front of the Daycare Exit. The big wooden gates".

No response. Gregory was getting nervous and already looking for how to get out of here or where to hide when he felt a sudden earthquake coming towards him from the right. On the very same ground that he was standing on.

THUNK THUNK THUNK

He hears the rapid clanking of heavy metal feet, turns to see where the noise is coming from and ... breathes a sigh of relief when he sees WHO it is coming from.

"Gregory, Thank goodness I found you first." Freddy's hatch opens invitingly, "Jump in! We need to get out of here now!"

With no hesitation, Gregory climbs inside his ally and Freddy closes his hatch. As Freddy transports them away, Gregory hears the voices of the others all around them, continuing to call out for him.

"Don't worry." Freddy senses Gregory's anxiety levels spiking again, "They cannot find you while you are inside me. We will be out of here in a few minutes".

Location: Pizzaplex - Superstar Daycare

Time: 9:56pm

The metal Gates emblazoned with the logo of a Moon over a Golden sun opened as Freddy exited the daycare with Gregory. Freddy makes a turn to the right, marching through the only curved corridor that lead out of the Daycare.

"Gregory, I have Good News:" Freddy joyfully started talking, "All the doors will open in 8 hours."

"Good News? 8 hours? I feel like I'm barely going to last 8 minutes in this place." The boy in his chest cavity griped.

"Do not panic Superstar, if we get separated again, you can always call me on your Fazwatch...As long as I have power and am able to reach you of course. To call me, just press the button on the lower left and I will be alerted to your location".

Gregory examines the watch on his hands and sees a tiny red button on the lower left. He was surprised he didn't notice it beforehand.

"I didn't know this watch had that kind of function." Gregory tells Freddy surprised.

"All Fazwatches do Gregory but it only works within the Pizzaplex. Beyond the mall's boundaries, the button is useless".

Gregory laughed at the mental image of what would happen if the button did work beyond the mall's boundaries, picturing Freddy randomly charging into some kid's house when they pressed the button.

"It's sometimes how we find lost children here as well." Freddy adds on.

Freddy suddenly stops and looks left and right before making a left turn upon exiting the Daycare's corridor.

"Also Gregory, I have more good news too."

"Really?" Gregory raises an eyebrow skeptically.

"Yes. I had a feeling you would be unable to wait for 8 hours and so, while you were in the Daycare, I identified two exit points that could possibly be open: The main loading dock under the food court of the first floor and also, a Fire Escape in the third floor prize counter."

Gregory gasps in delight, "That's more than good news, it's great news! Thanks Freddy".

"You're welcome Gregory. I'll now mark both locations on your Fazmap in the Fazwatch".

BZZT

An "Error" message blared on the screen.

"Oh. It appears you have no Fazmap installed on your Watch yet. Ah well, you should be able to get one downloaded from the Greeter in the Main Atrium. I'll bring you there first."

Gregory suddenly hears the sound of something shutting down. Outside, Freddy saw the lights suddenly go out all-around them.

"What was that noise?" Gregory asked.

"Every hour, power is diverted to the recharge station and sometimes, the Daycare Attendant's Moon side goes on patrol for a while".

"Oh great!" Gregory exclaimed sarcastically, "What do we do then?"

"Do not worry, I know where the nearest recharge station is." He walks just a few more metres until he sees a cylindrical capsule with the blue lightning bolt painted on the front. Freddy then opens his hatch.

"What are you doing?!" Gregory says panicked.

"Sorry Gregory, you can't go with me into the charging stations. There's a chance you could be electrocuted while inside."

"Fair enough." Gregory nods. "I'll hide behind the charging station for a while".

"Thank you. I won't take too long".

Gregory nods and goes behind the capsule, tucking his legs into his body and sitting there for a while. The lights are still out and Gregory doesn't know how long he has waited for. He thinks about stretching for a minute but that's when he hears HER voice and freezes.

"Will? William? Where are you? ~"

Gregory couldn't see it but the Rabbit lady was happily skipping along in front of a charging Freddy Fazbear without a care in the world.

"Or would you prefer to be called Gregory now?" she chuckles in a sickly sweet manner, "That's what HE tells me about you anyway. Whatever...if you aren't here...you have to be somewhere up ahead..."

With that, the rabbit continued to happily skip forward while humming a tune, her rabbit footsteps echoing in the empty corridors. The lights suddenly come on again and Gregory runs to the front, just in time to see Freddy leave the charging pod.

"Freddy you alright?" Gregory asked him.

"Yes. Why?"

"Did you see anything earlier? While you were charging?"

"I could see that fountain just ahead of us. A fountain is a decorative reservoir used for discharging water."

"Other than the fountain...Did you see anything else?" Gregory exasperatedly asks him again.

"Like what?"

"Erm...A Rabbit lady?"

"A Rabbit? No I did not. There is no rabbit at the Pizzaplex...Not anymore..." The Giant Bear's voice trailed off. The manner in which he said it carried a heavy and deep despair. Gregory sensed not to question it further.

"This is crazy." the boy groans, "It's like the whole place is trying to get me and I don't know why."

He knew why of course, he just wanted to keep up the lie that he was just a frightened boy trapped in an unknown place for an unknown reason.

"I am not".

"Why?" Gregory questions the Giant Bear.

"I do not know. I want to help you. Maybe they want to help you too?"

"I doubt it. For some reason, you're different."

"Not sure why you would think that but alright."

Freddy opens his hatch instantly and Gregory instantly understands what to do. He climbed in and he was completely inside, Freddy shut the hatch and strode forth to their next destination.

Location: Utility Tunnels

Time: 10:06pm

Freddy takes a sudden turn left and goes downwards and downwards, heading back into the Utility tunnels. Gregory feels a little bored as the Bear traverses and so he decides to check the inventory in his pockets. He sees a bandage roll, plasters, a flashlight and even the pocket knife he had obtained from the daycare.

Speaking of which, while he was wandering in the dark of the Daycare all those minutes ago, Gregory had figured out that his pocket knife was retractable. He could bring its blade in and out of its hilt with a simple flick of a 'switch' at its side. Pressing it forward would bring out the blade and pressing it backwards would return the blade into the hilt. It was a very simple mechanic really.

Out of boredom, Gregory decided to play with the knife and pushed the little switch forward, causing the sharp blade to emerge from its casing.

The Giant Bear suddenly halted. Gregory lurched forwards slightly too.

"Gregory, what do you have in your hands? I sense that you are holding something dangerous inside me."

"Erm yeah, I was going to show you this actually. Can we stop here for a while?"

Freddy lets Gregory out of his hatch and shuts it as soon as the boy is out. Gregory then turns around and shows the Giant Bear the knife that was gripped tightly in his hands, grinning from ear to ear while looking upwards at Freddy excitedly. A bit too excitedly for Freddy's liking.

"Look at this Freddy! I found this knife in the Daycare. Isn't this cool? I can use it to protect myself".

He jokingly slashes it twice playfully in front of him.

"Gregory!" Freddy blurts his name out alarmed, "Put that thing away before you hurt yourself! Or me for that matter!"

"But I can use this to protect myself right?" Gregory tilts his head, still staring at Freddy.

"Sure. You can use it to cut through things but please don't use it to hurt anyone." Freddy says with concern. "Promise me this alright?"

Freddy was sort of fearful of and for the child at the moment. Why did Gregory nearly feel like a different person with that knife in his hands?

"Okay. I promise." Gregory smiles and flicks the knife back into it's 'safe mode', returning it to his right pocket.

"Also, since we are here, there's something I need to ask you too."

"Hm?"

"I lied about being unable to see the Rabbit Woman. I could hear her but not see what she looked like."

"Oh..." Gregory simply utters.

"Gregory, what did she mean by those words? Why did she call you William?"

The clone's eyes widen. Should he let Freddy know the truth?

"I...I don't know." Gregory shook his head, "Maybe she mistook me for someone else."

"There's also another thing: Your Guest Profile is unknown to me...that I already knew but when I scanned you earlier, my scanners detected that your facial features matched with that of William Afton, one of Fazbear's Founders. Back then, I assumed that this was just a mistake or a glitch with my programming but after hearing what the woman called you, I'm not so sure. Who are you Gregory? Really?"

Gregory felt his heart beating faster and not in a good way. He was also feeling the urge to bite his lip. Well, he had no choice but to spill the beans now.

"Alright. This is going to be hard to explain but I'm...not Gregory Miller. I'm a clone of this...William Afton person." Gregory scratched his head during the awkward confession, "I'm not sure how to explain it myself but-

Without warning, Freddy Fazbear rapidly clutched his throat and lifted him upwards.

"ACK- ACK!'' Gregory choked. He was being suffocated! Why? Why was Freddy doing this? Was it William? No, William didn't want him killed. Just captured. So Who...

"Sorry Gregory. I am not Me." Freddy apologised.

"It's me Father!" another, more British voice snarled from Freddy's mouth. "Do you remember me?"

Barely able to breathe, Gregory looks forward and sees who is doing this. In front of him was Freddy but his eyes were slightly lilac-coloured this time and beside him, mimicking Freddy's arms (or were his arms mimicking his?) was a 20-something year old man with messy golden brown that was half shaved on his right side. Two black circular earrings hung from his earlobes and he was wearing a purple striped shirt, one half of it tucked into the left of his torn blue jeans. The expression his face displayed was one of sheer contempt, his mouth downturned into a scowl and Hazel eyes staring at him with an intense fire to them.

His hazel eyes were just. like. his.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" The man in front of him shouted, "You couldn't stay dead for one second could you, you piece of shit!"

The man made Freddy tighten his grip and the pressure on Gregory's neck tightened, further cutting off the passage of air from his lungs.

"I should just break your neck right now." He sneered, "How about I just do that? Show you the same amount of mercy that you showed your victims!"

"STOP!" A voice commanded. A dark haired man with striking emerald eyes and donning a red jacket put a hand on the younger man's shoulder. "We can't kill him. Not yet. Not like this."

"Why not? He's hurt so many. He deserves to be sent back to hell right now!"

"I understand. I want to kill him badly too but at the same time, I also want to know why he is erm...in this child-like state in the first place and why those other animatronics are after him. Please, let him live for now at least so that he can answer our questions". The dark-haired man pleaded.

The man in the purple shirt looks at Gregory and then back to the red jacket man before releasing his tight grip on the boy's neck. Gregory takes deep gulps of air in, trying to recover from the lack of air he had seconds earlier. He was so close to dying...almost too close.

"Talk William." The dark haired man commanded. "You'd better have a good explanation as to how and why you're back".

"Who...Who are you?" Gregory asked, staring at the two strangers in front of him. However, he felt as though he already knew the answer to his question at the back of his mind.

"Ghosts from your past. Both literally and figuratively. You'd better start talking Old Friend."
