"Haruhiii!!!"
Her hand felt so small, yet so strong in his own. He could feel every callous on her palm, no doubt from hard commoner's work. How in the world did she handle that carriage all on her own? But all thoughts flew away when he gazed into her big brown eyes – filled with shock, relief, and tenderness.
He never had seen her eyes like this before.
A wonderful thought came to him: Yes, he would kiss Haruhi! Oh, wouldn't that be a romantic ending? Not to mention the TamakixHaruhi fans would all go wild with joy, which is always a plus. And he almost did kiss her. But then he remembered where they were, and what situation they got themselves into.
A choking haruhi and Tamaki was not romantic at all! What if they sputter all over the camera, then choke and…and…DIE? Oh boy, that would be really anti-climatic! If there is no 2nd season, then he wants him and her to go with a bang.
So he settled for an embrace instead.
