Everything in bold belongs to J.K. Teams RWBY and JNPR belong to Rooster Teeth.

Another day at Beacon, another night with Harry Potter. Ruby was so excited, she couldn't wait! No, really, she couldn't wait. She scarfed down her dinner, then used her Semblance to run to her dorm. The rest of the young Hunters were just as excited, if not as fast. When team RWBY and JNPR finally joined her, she was already on Yang's bed with the book in her hands. Her feet kicked lightly in the air.

"Ruby, I know you're excited to read what happens next, but next time don't get so far ahead!"

"Eat my dust, Schnee!" Ruby giggled. "Can we read now, slowpokes?!"

"Heck yeah!" Yang jumped onto her bed. She threw an arm around Ruby. The sisters wore matching smiles. "This time, we're totally gonna see that magical world!"

"As long as it's not the Dursley's anymore." Blake said as she got on her bed. "I don't think I can take another chapter of them."

"Agreed." Yang said.

"I wonder if Harry will see other things in this world," Pyrrha wondered. "Like magical creatures or something." She and Jaune made their way to Ruby's bed and got comfortable.

"I'm wanting to see their culture first hand," Ren said. He and Nora took their spots in front of Blake's bed.

"Then let me read already!" Ruby shouted, waving the book in her hands.

"Alright then!" Jaune complained. "Go ahead."

Harry awoke the next morning, though even with the sun shining through his eyelids he still kept them shut. He was convincing himself that the events that had transpired last night was a dream and that when he wakes up he'll be back in his cupboard.

"Okay, if all that is true, I will seriously rip that book a new one," Yang said.

"It can't be." Weiss insisted. "The first chapter had wizards just like Hagrid! They used his name! It can't have been! Right?!"

"Unless Harry dreamed up that too-"

"He's literally only just woken up." Jaune assured them. "Considering all he's been through, I don't blame him."

Harry then heard a tapping noise which he believed to be his Aunt rapping on the door. At the tapping's insistence Harry got up only to see Hagrid's coat falling off of him. The storm from last night was finally over as the hut was filled with sunlight and Hagrid himself was still asleep on the couch.

"HA HA! IT WAS ALL TRUE!" Nora cheered gleefully.

Both Yang and Weiss sighed in relief.

The tapping noise came from an owl scratching at the window with a newspaper in its beak.

"Wait, owls also deliver newspapers?" Pyrrha asked, surprised.

"That seems to be their go to delivery system," Blake figured.

"Well, at least they don't have to worry about dogs like mailmen do," Jaune joked.

"They could get away easier but no doubt dogs would still bark at them," Yang said. Human or bird, Zwei would chase them.

Harry, excited at the realization that he didn't make last night up, ran straight to the window to let the owl in. The bird dropped the paper on Hagrid's head and then flew to his coat, pecking at it relentlessly.

"Umm, what's it doing?" Nora wondered.

"Looking for treats?" Ren guessed.

Harry tried to shoo the owl away but it just snapped his beak at him before going back to tearing up the coat. Harry called out to Hagrid who said that the owl wants to be paid for delivering the paper.

"Owls get paid?" Yang couldn't help but ask. "What would it use the money for?"

"They're probably taking payment for the people who worked on the paper." Weiss reasoned.

"Oh. That makes sense," Yang said.

Harry went through several of Hagrid's pockets (which there seemed to be a lot of) before finding a small bag with some weird coins. Hagrid told him to give him five Knuts.

"Knuts?" Pyrrha asked.

Jaune forced himself to keep a straight face. Yang snorted, covering her mouth with her hand.

Hagrid pointed out the little bronze coins and Harry went to pay the owl.

"Oh."

Hagrid then finished getting up saying that they had to go get Harry's school supplies.

"Wait, if Hagrid was just about to get up, why did he make Harry pay for the paper?" Ren asked.

"I'm still worried about how Harry's going to pay for his schooling," Blake said. "Wizard money sounds different from other money. Not that the Dursley's would pay for it anyway."

At those words Harry got nervous again stating that he was broke and that Vernon won't pay for his tuition. Hagrid shrugged it off, surprised that Harry thought his parents didn't leave him anything. Harry tried to argue that since their house was destroyed-

"Seriously Harry! I'm pretty sure wizards have banks like everyone else," Weiss scoffed, annoyed.

Hagrid cut him off saying that their first stop is the wizard's bank known as Gringotts. Harry helped himself to some leftover sausage when Hagrid explained that the bank was run by goblins. Which took Harry by surprise.

"What's a goblin?" Blake asked.

"Probably some kind of magical creature well known in that world," Ren figured.

Hagrid described Gringotts as the safest place out then outside Hogwarts, before rambling about how he needs to get something else from there as a task from Dumbledore. The two then made their way out of the hut and into the boat the Dursleys used yesterday. Harry didn't see another boat and asked how Hagrid got here to which Hagrid responded that he flew.

"He can fly?" Jaune asked.

"How could people have not spotted him?" Weiss demanded.

"Well if you fly high enough then people won't be able to notice you," Blake said.

"Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to breathe either," Weiss retorted.

"Maybe he magicked himself an air bubble or something," Ruby suggested.

"There was also the storm," Yang added. "That would have given him some cover."

Weiss was about to argue at Ruby's suggestion, but then stopped at Yang's.

Harry was surprised that Hagrid could somehow fly but the giant said that since he has Harry now, he can't really use magic anymore so they'll have to take the boat.

"But wait, what about the Dursleys?" Pyrrha asked. "They'd be stranded there."

"You say that like it's a bad thing," Nora countered. Jaune giggled at that as Pyrrha gave an agreeing nod.

Hagrid then laments about what a shame it would be to have to row and asks if Harry wouldn't say anything to Hagrid 'speeding things up a little'. Harry, who was eager to see more magic, happily agreed and Hagrid used his umbrella to make the boat move on its own. Harry wanted to know more about Gringotts and asked why someone would be dumb enough to rob it. Hagrid explained how they have spells and enchantments all over the place and there was a rumor or two about there even being a dragon guarding some of the vaults. Not to mention the place is one giant maze.

"Oh wow, dragons exist here too?" Ruby asked all starry eyed. Yang used to tell her stories of brave knights saving beautiful women from fire breathing dragons.

"That sounds pretty cool," Pyrrha agreed, remembering those stories herself.

Nora didn't agree with them though. "But that poor dragon must be all cooped up. Is that even safe?"

"I doubt they have dragons in the bank, Nora," Ren assured, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Still it's no surprise that these 'goblins'-" Weiss fumbled with the word. "-would use state of the art enchantments to ensure their customers' currency."

Hagrid started to read the paper and Harry figured he should leave him alone as Uncle Vernon didn't like to be bothered when he read the paper but Harry was having a hard time with all the questions that kept popping up in his head. Hagrid groans about how the Ministry of Magic is causing a mess prompting Harry to ask about it before he could stop himself.

"It should be obvious," Weiss said. "Like we've been assuming all along. These people are their own culture and they are hidden amongst everyone else. It would make sense for them to have their own government."

Hagrid stated that of course there was. Everyone it seems wanted Dumbledore to be minister but he was loyal to Hogwarts so the job was given to a man named Cornelius Fudge.

Everyone snickered at the name.

Though Fudge kept asking Dumbledore for advice.

"Ugh, politics," Blake groaned.

Harry asks what the MOM does and Hagrid explains that their main job is to keep the Muggles from finding out about them to Harry's confusion.

"Harry, come on, you're so called 'guardians' treated you like crap because of what you can do. And I seriously doubt that you're not the first this has happened to," Jaune cried out in disbelief.

Hagrid's answer was that if the Muggles found out about them they'd be wanting magical solutions to all their problems.

"That too," Pyrrha said remembering her statement from last night.

The boat made it to the harbor by then and the two made their way up the street. Hagrid kept drawing a lot of attention. Not only because of his height, but because he kept pointing at things like parking meters and loudly saying how weird they were.

Yang facepalmed at this. "Okay, as cool as it was seeing Hagrid scare the Dursleys like that, I'm starting to think they should have had Harry be picked up by someone that can blend in."

"You would think he would know better." Ruby agreed.

Nora however was on Hagrid's side. "Who invented parking meters anyway? That's just dumb." Ren just chuckled amusingly and shook his head.

Harry brought up dragons again and Hagrid said that he would like a dragon. Wanted to have a pet dragon ever since he was a kid.

"Can these people have pet dragons?" Jaune asked unsure.

"I don't think they found a way to hide them in their backyard," Blake said.

"Maybe they could turn them into other animals!" Ruby suggested.

"Wouldn't that defeat the purpose?" Ren pointed out.

Ruby groaned in defeat and got back to reading.

They reached a train station where they got even more attention as, on the train, Hagrid took up two seats and knitted what looked like some kind of yellow circus tent.

"That actually sounds pretty normal to me," Pyrrha said.

"Maybe because Hagrid's five times the size of any normal person," Jaune said.

Hagrid asked if Harry still had his letter as that held a list of his school supplies. Harry took out the letter and noticed a second sheet of paper that listed things like his uniform:

"Huh, that sounds pretty similar to ours," Weiss noted.

"Yeah, but it looks like girls don't have to wear skirts like we do," Blake said.

Also a list of books which also told the authors names:

"Newt Scamander," Nora said, trying out the name herself. "That's definitely the coolest name I've heard of this world so far."

Along with other things like a magic wand, a cauldron, a telescope and that students may only bring in three kinds of pets which were an owl, cat, or a toad and a reminder in big letters that first years can not bring their own broomsticks.

"Why can't students bring in other pets like a dog or a bunny?" Ruby wondered.

"And what's this about brooms?" Pyrrha asked.

"Maybe wizards are just really messy and need brooms a lot?" Jaune suggested.

"But then why wouldn't the first years, presumably the messiest out of the entire school aged students, be allowed them?" Pyrrha asked.

"Uhh...good point."

Harry can't help but ask if they could really buy all these things in London and Hagrid's response is that you just need to know where to go.

"Oohh hooo, secret entrances. I can't wait!" Nora cheered.

Hagrid definitely seemed to know where they were going, but he's clearly never done it the 'Muggle Way' before as he got stuck in the ticket barrier, loudly complaining how small the seats were and how slow the train was. And wondered how people managed without magic.

"The same way people in Atlas are able to live in the tundra," Weiss said. "Through severe preservation and ingenuity."

Everyone nodded in agreement. They've managed without magic themselves and they don't really need it. No matter how useful it may be.

Harry easily followed Hagrid as he parted the crowd. He looked around wondering if there really was a place around here that could take you deep underground to get gold and where you can buy magic wands and cauldrons. He had half a mind thinking this was all some elaborate prank by the Dursleys.

"Those people have no sense of humor to begin with," Weiss stated.

"And come on, how can you not trust Hagrid?" Jaune asked.

Harry quickly shot that down as the Dursleys didn't even have a sense of humor and he couldn't help but, even though this all sounded so surreal, he couldn't help feeling like he could trust Hagrid.

Those who made a comment earlier were now nodding their heads in agreement.

Hagrid finally brought Harry to the Leaky Cauldron. It was a small looking pub. Harry figured he would have missed it if Hagrid hadn't pointed it out. In fact, judging by the fact that no one else seems to notice the place, Harry feels like only he and Hagrid can see it.

"They most likely put up a spell on it to make muggles not take notice," Pyrrha reasoned.

Hagrid steered Harry inside and everyone stopped whatever conversation they were having to take note of the two. Everyone seemed to know Hagrid and the bartender even asked Hagrid if he wanted his usual.

"Wow, Hagrid is really popular," Yang said.

"Probably comes there often if the bartender is already getting his drink," Blake agreed.

"He has a child with him! Now is not the time to get drunk!" Weiss yelled.

Hagrid declined the drink, bringing everyone's attention onto Harry causing the pub to silence once more.

"Oh boy here we go," Nora said.

Ruby winced. "Poor Harry's about to get swarmed."

The bartender then walked over to shake Harry's hand welcoming the young boy back. Suddenly everyone got up and started shaking Harry's hand. One in particular was the man with a top hat that Harry recognized. Another, Doris Crockford, came up several times.

"Hey cool, we saw the top hat guy again," Nora said.

"Jeez, can't these people give Harry some space? I know these guys are excited to meet the guy who survived Voldemort but come on," Jaune said, feeling a little crowded himself at the thought.

"It's the price of fame sadly," Pyrrha said, knowing full well how some people can be. Many times in her life, she'd tried going into stores or even just took a walk in a park. Fans of her always came to gather and spectate at her. She loved her fans dearly, but she still wished she could do some of the more simple things in life without getting surrounded.

One man who made his way forward Hagrid recognized as Professor Quirrell, one of Harry's teachers. The professor greeted Harry with a stammer in his voice.

"Ugh, please tell me he doesn't always talk like that?" Weiss asked Ruby.

Ruby skimmed a little ahead and groaned. "He does."

Ren also groaned. "His class is probably going to be worse than Port's." Sure the guy only ever talked about himself but at least they could understand him. If this Quirrell wizard only ever spoke with a stutter, it would get annoying fast. Especially so for the person who had to read it aloud.

Harry asked what Quirrell's class was and the professor said that it was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Before joking that Harry wouldn't need it.

Ruby growled at that. "Of course Harry's going to need it! I doubt that same trick would work twice."

"Easy, little sister, it was just a joke," Yang said, putting an arm around Ruby.

"This guy's going to teach students how to defend themselves?" Weiss asked with a scoff. He sounds like a joke to her.

The others then pushed Quirrell out of the way still wanting to meet Harry but at that point Hagrid spoke up saying that they needed to get going.

"Thank you, Hagrid," Pyrrha breathed. She was starting to flashback to the last time she won the Mistral Tournament. That was a nightmare.

The two made their way to the back of the pub. Hagrid was happy to prove to Harry how famous he was. Even Quirrell was shaking to meet him, though Hagrid notes he usually does that. At Harry's promo Hagrid explained that Quirrell used to study from his books until he decided to get some first hand experience. Supposedly he met some vampires and a hag and hadn't been the same since.

"Should have stuck to his books then!" Nora said.

Harry was wrapping his head around the fact that there were vampires and hags while Hagrid tapped the wall a few times with his umbrella. The bricks then started moving. Making a hole wide enough for even Hagrid to go through easily. Hagrid welcomes Harry to Diagon Alley.

The students all smiled in excitement at finally seeing the world they only heard snippets of so far.

Harry took in the sights. The shops, the things outside of them. The people ran around as he heard a plump woman ranting under her breath about how expensive dragon liver was getting. Dozens of different color owls. A group of boys was outside one window gazing at broomsticks and talking about the fastest model, the new Nimbus 2000.

"Fast? Are you saying people ride on these?" Blake asked.

"That actually sounds like fun!" Nora cheered, throwing her arms up.

"But why brooms of all things?" Ren wondered.

"Beats flying a Nevermore," Weiss grumbled with a glare at Ruby who blushed behind the book.

They passed by many more shops that sell parchment, ink, spell books before finally approaching a big white building labeled Gringotts. Standing at the front doors in a scarlet uniform was what Hagrid called a goblin. The creature was about a head shorter than Harry, had a wrinkled, smart face, and a pointed beard.

Everyone looked rather uncomfortable at the description.

"Well they seem like a lovely bunch," Weiss said sarcastically.

They made their way inside where they found another set of doors, this one with a poem that basically warns people not to rob them.

"Well that sounded rather morbid," Pyrrha said.

Inside the lobby were about a hundred more goblins that were sitting around different counters. Some were writing down things in ledgers, others were weighing gold on scales, and some were examining stones through eye pieces.

Jaune gave a low whistle. "Surprised muggles haven't found stuff like these yet."

Harry and Hagrid made their way over to a free goblin where Hagrid stated that Harry wanted to make a withdrawal. The goblin asked for his key and after Hagrid pulled out some more things out of his pockets he finally found the thing. Hagrid then gave the goblin a letter from Dumbledore about something that was in vault 713.

"The You-Know-What?" Pyrrha repeated questiongly.

"Why is Hagrid being so secretive about it?" Blake wondered.

"And is it really a good idea to be doing this in front of Harry?" Ren noted.

"Also you call that secretive?" Weiss asked. "He's already got eyes on him because of Harry at his side. Now he's talking about picking up a special delivery? He's asking for trouble!"

The goblin read the letter and agreed to have them be taken to both the vaults. He summoned another goblin by the name of Griphook who led them from the main hall. Harry tried asking about the mystery vault but Hagrid said it was secret Hogwarts stuff and that he couldn't tell Harry.

"Isn't Harry going to find out once they're in the vault anyway?" Jaune asked.

"It's probably also in a magic box or something," Yang suggested.

The trio made their way into a stone hallway this time that was lit with torches and had railroad tracks along the ground. Griphook called for a cart and once they were settled the cart took off. Harry tried to remember the path but at the speed they were going it was impossible.

"Why would Harry want to remember the route anyway?" Ren asked. "It's not like he's going to try and rob the place at some point."

"Maybe he's trying to soak it all in?" Blake offered. "Like he can't even believe that this exists, and wants to think about it later?"

Harry then tried to make conversation with Hagrid by asking what the difference is between stalagmite and stalactite but Hagrid asked not to talk to him as he was starting to get sick.

"Remind you of anyone, vomit boy?" Yang asked with a smirk at Jaune.

"Shut up," Jaune groaned with a blush on his cheeks.

The room of teenagers laughed.

"I don't know the difference between them either," Ruby said, helping Jaune by changing the subject. "I know one grows from the floor while the other grows on the ceiling but I can't remember which."

"It's stalagmites that grow from the floor," Ren supplied helpful.

Ruby beamed in thanks and went back to the book.

The trio finally arrived at Harry's vault and Hagrid had to place a hand against the wall to steady his legs. Griphook opened the vault using the key. Harry's jaw dropped as he looked inside. So much gold, silver, and bronze. And Hagrid said it was all his.

The student's eyes all sparkled at that.

"Harry's parents must have been really well off," Yang said.

"And this probably isn't even all of it," Weiss said. "They said it was Harry's vault, yes? This is most likely for his schooling, his parents might even have a larger vault deeper in the bank. My parents did the same for me when I was born."

Harry couldn't help but think how the Dursley might try and take it from him if they ever knew about this, remembering how often they complained about how much they spent on him.

"They hardly feed him and they gave him all of Dudley's old clothes!" Nora shouted. The happy moment ruined at the reminder of that family.

"Not to worry, Nora, there is no legal way for them to get ahold of Harry's fortune," Weiss assured her. "Most family fortunes aren't accessible to outside guardians until the child comes of age."

Hagrid explained the currency to Harry as they filled a small pouch before turning back to the cart so they could head to the next vault. Hagrid also asked Griphook if they could slow it down a little but Griphook said the carts only had one speed.

Nora snickered while the rest all shook their heads. Poor Hagrid.

Vault 713 was even deeper into the tunnels and unlike Harry's vault it had no keyhole.

Ruby's eyes glittered. "It must have a complex spell so that no ordinary person could sneak in."

"Whatever is in that vault has to be worth a fortune," Jaune said.

"And is probably incredibly dangerous," Blake added.

Griphook dragged a finger down the door and it started to melt away. As it was opening Griphook explained that if someone who wasn't an employee tried that then the door would suck them in and they would be trapped inside. Harry asked how often they check for intruders to which Griphook responds with about once every decade.

Everyone grimaces at that. That did not sound pleasant.

"Note to self. Never mess with goblins," Jaune said.

Harry was imagining just what could be in that vault. It could be something like expensive jewels or other treasures... only to find a nearly empty vault with a tiny little package wrapped in brown paper lying in the middle of the vault.

"Well that was anticlimactic," Nora said.

"Don't judge, Nora," Pyrrha scolded. "Big things can come in small packages."

Weiss then looked back to the book. She turned her head to read the title from the spine. "The book is fully called 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' right?"

"Stones aren't really big," Blake noted.

"Then that must be what Hagrid picked up," Yang said. "Why else would the story be called that?"

"YOU DIDN'T MENTION THE FULL TITLE TO US!" Nora yelled. The other members of team JNPR, while not happy with Nora's outburst, nodded in agreement.

Team RWBY all looked awkward.

"We didn't think it would be this important!" Ruby excused.

"Yeah! How were we supposed to know they'd show up this early?" Yang asked.

"It just slipped our minds." Blake added.

They made their way out of Gringotts and Hagrid figured that the first place Harry should go would be to Madam Malkin's for his school uniform. He figured he could leave Harry there alone for a minute as he wanted to get a quick drink from the Leaky Cauldron to help him recover from those cart rides at the bank.

"He really shouldn't leave Harry alone like that." Weiss scolded.

"I mean, if Harry's getting fitted for his uniform then that means he won't be unsupervised right," Ren countered.

Harry said it was fine and he went into the shop by himself. The small witch who ran the shop set Harry up next to a boy about his age also being fitted for his uniform.

"Alright finally! Harry's first real friend," Jaune cheered.

The boy greeted Harry who asked if he was also attending Hogwarts. When Harry responded yes the boy went off about what his parents were doing and then said that he wanted to look at the racing brooms complaining about how first years couldn't bring any. The boy figured he could convince his father to let him smuggle one in. This kid reminded Harry of Dudley.

"You were saying?" Yang asked, not liking this new character.

Jaune waved his hands in denial. "I take it back. Harry can be friends with someone else."

"Jeez, Weiss, he sounds worse than you when we first met," Blake said.

Weiss gave a playful glare as she didn't know if that was a compliment or an insult. In her mind though she thought this kid sounded a lot like her brother.

The boy then asked if Harry had his own broom or even played something called Quidditch. Harry never even heard of the sport but didn't say it out loud.

"Say that you should, that way we know what this sport is," Pyrrha said.

"He probably doesn't want to make himself look bad in front of the other boy," Blake reasoned.

The boy stated that he did and that his father said that it would be a crime if he didn't play for his house team to which the boy agreed.

Weiss groaned. This kid was definitely like Whitley.

The boy asked if Harry figured what house he'll be in and Harry said he didn't.

"Wonder what these houses are?" Nora asked.

"Must be some sort of way to house the students," Weiss explained.

The boy states that people really don't know until they get there but he knows that he'll be in Slytherin since everyone in his family has been. But he would rather leave if he was put in Hufflepuff.

"And what's wrong with this Hufflepuff?" Nora asked hotly.

"Seriously, what difference would it make anyway?" Pyrrha asked before noticing Jaune in deep thought. "Jaune, what is it?" she asked.

"I just realized. That coat of arms that was on the school envelope. It had four mascots," Jaune stated.

"You mean like one for each house?" Yang suggested. Jaune nodded.

"So we would have four of these houses where the students will be grouped up in." Ren said.

"Wonder how they sort them out?" Blake wondered.

"Maybe Hagrid can explain." Ruby said, getting back to the book.

It was then the boy noticed Hagrid whom Harry introduced. The boy doesn't take too kindly to him, calling him a savage and would even get drunk and set fire to his own bed.

By now the Beacon students were curling up their fists at this kid's attitude.

Harry states that Hagrid is rather smart, making the boy wonder why he's with Harry and not his parents. Harry remarks that they're dead. The boy apologises though he didn't even look sorry.

"Oh come on, at least pretend to show some sympathy!" Weiss yelled. She took that back. This kid sounded worse than Whitley. At least his and Jacques' expressions matched their words, even if they were not sincere.

The boy then asked if Harry's parents were 'our kind'. To which Harry responded that they were a witch and wizard.

"There's a difference?" Nora wondered.

Blake was thoughtful. "Lily was the first in her family to wield magic, right?" she asked.

"Yes, Petunia and her parents were muggles," Pyrrha said.

"That must mean that there are some families that come from a long line of magic users," Blake said.

"Yeah, so?" Nora asked.

"Wouldn't these families not like wizards or witches that came from muggle families?" Blake asked.

Everyone looked down in thought. Their thoughts only led them to disappointment. None of them had thought of that. It wasn't helped with the next passage Ruby read.

The boy went on to say how they're not the same. That they haven't been brought up in the ways of their world. Not even hearing of Hogwarts until they get their letter. That's why he thinks it's best to leave it in the old wizard families. He then asks for Harry's surname but by that point Madam Malkin said that Harry was done and he was glad for the excuse to stop talking to the blonde boy.

"I'm grateful too," Yang said. "I can't believe that there are people like that in Harry's world."

"Just what we need. The wizard versions of the Dursleys," Jaune groaned.

The boy bid Harry farewell and Harry, full of thoughts from his conversation with the boy, ate his chocolate, raspberry, and chopped nuts ice cream in silence.

"Now I want some ice cream," Nora cheered.

Hagrid notices this and asks if anything is wrong. Harry denies this at first but after buying some quills, ink, and parchment he asked Hagrid about Quidditch. Hagrid started beating himself up for not telling Harry about Quidditch yet.

"That's not fair. He's only been introduced to this world not even 24 hours ago," Ren said.

"Stuff like that is going to take time," Yang agreed.

Harry then told Hagrid about the boy from Madam Malkin's and about how people from Muggle families shouldn't be allowed into Hogwarts. Hagrid counters that one: Harry is NOT from a Muggle family and two: some of the best witches and wizards he knew came from Muggle families. Harry's mom for example.

"Exactly! It shouldn't matter where you come from, it should matter who you are." Blake said.

The others nodded with her.

Her bow may have twitched. Nobody noticed, anyway.

Harry then asks again about Quidditch and Hagrid explains that it's a sport played on broomsticks but he really didn't know how to explain the rules.

"And how high are they on those broomsticks?" Pyrrha asked.

"It can't be too high, or else they would hurt themselves if they fall," Jaune figured.

"Oh, maybe someone could use their magic to catch them!" Ruby suggested.

"Or turn the ground into a giant marshmallow," Nora said. Everyone laughed. "What? They could do it!"

Harry then asked about Hufflepuff and Slytherin. Hagrid explains that they are two of the four school houses.

"Hey Jaune, looks like you were right about the mascots," Pyrrha said. Jaune beamed.

Hagrid also said that a lot of bad wizards came from Slytherin. Voldemort being one of them.

"He was at Hogwarts!?" Everyone cried out.

After a few seconds processing this, Weiss said. "I suppose that makes sense. If Voldemort lived in the area that would be the most likely place where he earned his education."

They went and got Harry's school books and Hagrid had to drag him away from some books that detailed certain curses that Harry really wanted to try on Dudley.

"Do it!" Nora cheered.

"No, he shouldn't sink to his cousin's level," Blake argued.

"Not to mention it would get him into even more trouble with Vernon and Petunia," Ren added.

Nora huffed and pouted. "He deserves it."

Nobody argued with that.

While Hagrid agreed with the idea ("HA!" shouted Nora) Harry couldn't do magic in the Muggle world right now anyway. Besides he's not strong enough for those kinds of curses yet. Afterwards they got some potion supplies. Then Hagrid took Harry to a place called Eeylops Owl Emporium where Hagrid got Harry a pet as a birthday present, despite Harry's protest.

"Harry, come on, you deserve a birthday present!" Jaune argued with the teen wizard.

"A proper one anyway," Pyrrha said.

Harry got a snowy white owl who was sleeping in her cage with her head under her wing.

"Wow, so pretty," Ruby said with stars in her eyes.

Harry kept stuttering out an apology but Hagrid just waved him off. Now the only thing left of Harry's to get is a magic wand. This was something Harry was looking forward to.

The same was for the Beacon students.

"Ooo, I wonder how Harry's going to find his wand," Ruby pondered.

"Do you think there is only going to be just one right wand for Harry?" Weiss asked her.

"Of course!" Ruby shouted dramatically, throwing up her hands in the air, which caused the book to fall out of her hands and was caught by Blake. "A wand is more than a conduit for their magic. It's an extension of themselves just like our weapons are for us. Maybe they build their wand like we do! Wouldn't that be awesome?! Seeing Harry build his wand?"

"It's still just a fancy stick, little sister, I don't think you need to get that excited for it." Yang said.

"She could still be right. Even if two people of our world fight with similar weapons, subtle differences between the two would make switching weapons rather difficult," Ren said wisely.

Ruby sheepishly took the book back from Blake.

They entered the shabby little store and looked around. It reminded Harry a lot of being in a strict library. He could also feel a prickle in the back of his neck. Like the air around them was teeming with magic.

"With all those wands there it would make sense," Pyrrha said.

A soft voice then greeted them, much to Harry and Hagrid's surprise as they both jumped up. The owner of the shop Mr. Ollivander greeted them. Like the others, he recognized Harry instantly. Unlike those in the pub though, he instead pointed out Harry's eyes and reminisced about when Lily went and got her first wand which made her very good in charms.

All the students felt relieved that this man didn't gawk over Harry's fame. It was a breath of fresh air after all the reactions to Harry. Hearing about his parents was nice too. All they'd heard for ages was how bad James and Lily were. To find that the Dursley's lied about that, brought smiles to the students of Beacon.

Ollivander then spoke of James's wand that made him very talented in transfiguration. He then got close to Harry's face and pointed to the scar.

"Oh come on! I thought we could go on one introduction with Harry that didn't bring up Voldemort!" Nora shouted annoyed.

"Why bring that up anyway?" Weiss asked.

Mr. Ollivander regretfully admits to having sold the wand that did that to Harry.

Weiss paused at that. "Oh." She couldn't imagine what that must have been like for Ollivander. To craft something with his blood, sweat and tears only to have his creation go and start a war. Weiss saw the effects too- from the Schnee Mining Company. All the people that used dust to hurt people, to cause damage, to do bad. It never felt right with Weiss. She could understand Ollivander's grief about the wand.

Thankfully the subject was then changed when Ollivander spotted Hagrid and went on about his wand. Figuring that it must have been snapped in half when he was expelled. Hagrid admits that he still has the pieces which made Ollivander wonder if Hagrid still uses them. Hagrid denies that but grips his umbrella a little tighter.

"Oh yeah sure," Jaune laughed.

"Don't use them at all," Nora agreed.

"Nope," Ruby agreed, giggling.

Ollivander then got to business by pulling out a tape measure and asked Harry to hold out his dominant arm. The tape measure then began to measure Harry all on its own. Even areas that didn't seem relevant. Ollivander meanwhile begins to talk about how every wand contains a core that came from powerful magic creatures like unicorns, phoenixes, and dragons.

"That sounds rather dangerous," Pyrrha said.

Yang just shrugged. "Eh, I'm sure there are ways to subdue dragons so he can get what he needs."

"Yang's got a point. Besides if there wasn't a way to contain dragons then muggles would be aware of them," Ren pointed out.

Mr. Ollivander then started giving Harry a wand but before he could so much as wave it Mr. Ollivander snatched it out of his hand and gave him another one. This process was repeated for some time.

"Harry hasn't even done anything with the wands yet. What is Ollivander expecting?" Jaune asked.

"Maybe he's waiting for the wands to react to Harry?" Ruby suggested, her voice taking on an old person's tone as she quoted "The wand chooses the wizard after all."

Everyone giggled at her impression. Except Weiss, who shook her head. Though she didn't say it out loud, she doubted that these wands were sentient on some level. They were just sticks.

Finally though, Harry found a match. Holly wood with a phoenix feather core that was eleven inches long. When Harry took it, warmth spread to his fingers. Harry waved the wand and red and gold sparks shot out like fireworks.

Nora, Ruby, and Jaune were starry eyed at the description. Yang cheered while Blake and Ren nodded approvingly. Pyrrha and Weiss hoped that Harry didn't break anything in the store.

Both Hagrid and Ollivander cheered and the shop owner started to place Harry's wand back in its box, all the while muttering how curious this was.

"What would be curious? Is there something special about this wand?" Nora wondered.

Harry asked what was so curious and Mr. Ollivander remarked about how he remembered every single wand he ever sold. The phoenix who's feather powers Harry's wand gave just one other feather.

"So Harry's wand is part of a pair!" Pyrrha realized.

"Does it already have an owner?" Yang asked looking at Ruby who was still looking at the book.

"Oh I would love to see those two wands duke it out!" Nora cheered.

"Let's not rush to that, Nora. The other wand's owner could be friends with Harry." Ren said, calming down his childhood friend. "They're a pair."

"Yeah that ain't going to happen," Ruby said as she read over the next few lines.

"How can you be so sure?" Jaune asked her.

Mr. Ollivander states that it was curious that this particular wand chose Harry as the owner of the brother wand gave Harry his scar.

Everyone was stunned at that.

"Shut. Up." Weiss gawked.

"You have got to be kidding me," Jaune groaned, his head falling into his hands.

Blake ran her hands through her hair. "Brothers Light and Dark, it's like fate wants these two to fight."

"Any other connections we need to know about?" Nora asked. Ruby started to turn a page before Nora shook her head. "You know what, don't answer that."

Mr. Ollivander figures that Harry will be able to achieve great things. Seeing as how Voldemort could also do great, yet terrible feats.

"Why is he praising the guy who devastated the world for eleven years?" Weiss asked, shocked.

"Doesn't matter how awful the person is. Their power could still be respected," Pyrrha reminded her. "Grimm are terrible monsters, but they are still very powerful. Or even the four kingdoms during the war- all of them incredibly powerful, and dangerous. They could be described as 'achieving great things' too."

Harry shivered as he paid for his wand and he and Hagrid left the shop. The two made their way back to the muggle world once again gaining weird looks though this time it was because of the funny shaped packages and the owl Harry carried.

"People really need to learn to mind their own business," Blake grumbled.

Hagrid offered Harry some dinner where he pointed out how quiet Harry has been for the past few minutes. Harry states that everyone thinks he's so special even though he doesn't remember anything about the night he lost his parents.

"Ugh I can relate." Ruby said, remembering how awkward she was about starting Beacon so early. Yang's encouragement about how people think she's going to be the 'bees knees' didn't help.

Hagrid tells Harry not to worry as everyone starts at pretty much the same level at Hogwarts and he'll pick it up in no time. Harry may be singled out but Hagrid assures that Harry will have a great time at Hogwarts. Hagrid still does after all.

Ruby nodded in agreement. Yes the first few days of Beacon were a bit awkward but she's fit in more here than she ever did at Signal.

Hagrid saw Harry off at the train that would take him back to the Dursleys and gave Harry his ticket for the train to Hogwarts. He offered Harry to send Hedwig to him if the Dursleys give him any trouble.

"Wait, he's going back there?" Yang asked in disbelief.

"How did they even get off the rock?" Weiss asked.

"They probably had gotten some help." Blake figured.

"So we're not done with those people yet," Nora groaned.

"Shouldn't be much longer." Jaune assured everyone. "He'll be going to Hogwarts. That'll get him away from everything!"

The train pulled out of the station and Harry wanted to watch Hagrid until he was out of sight but he blinked and Hagrid was gone.

"Wizards get to teleport?!" Nora gasped.

"Lucky." Ruby grumbled.

"But Hagrid isn't supposed to use magic anymore?" Pyrrha stated worryingly.

"Oh please, if they hadn't said anything with the boat, they wouldn't say anything now." Weiss dismissed.

Ruby closed the book and offered it to Pyrrha.

"Do you want to read next?" Ruby asked.

Pyrrha nodded. Ruby tossed the book to her.

Reviews, follows and favorites are awesome. See you all in the next chapter. Stay awesome.

Edit 10/01/2021: Quick side note for any readers who have been reading this up until this point. I said before that I had thought this was going to span over the first three volumes of the series. Turns out I was wrong. DEAD WRONG! At the pace I have these guys going it will only take them roughly two months to finish the series! I am wearing a Dunce cap as I speak (or type whatever). Point is I won't be able to put any of the scenes outside the reading that I have in mind for this series as they would have finished possibly before the Jaundice arc. So my new plan is to do a sequel fic of random moments where certain changes are made by reflecting on what they have read.
