I had to stay in the hospital for the next two days, while the doctor performed more scans on my head in order to make sure everything was alright before allowing me to head home.

Cris and Gio showed up to pick me up just after the doctor went to get the discharge papers.

"Y mi hermana?" I asked as I slipped on my sneakers, after tying my hair. (And my sister?)

"Le dijeron que tenía que ir a trabajar hoy porque tenía que hacer algo importante." Gio replied as he picked up the bag with my dirty clothes. (They told her that she needed to go into work today because she needed to do something important.)

I nodded in response, before sighing tiredly. "Y eso que vino tu amigo¿Cuál es el trato con tu amigo apareciendo?" I asked him after Cris went to take a phone call outside while we waited from the doctor to bring me my discharge papers. (What is the deal with your friend showing up?)

Gio chuckled, before shaking his head at me, "Solo está preocupado por ti, se siente muy mal por lo que pasó ayer y quiere asegurarse de que estés bien." Gio replied chuckling again. (He's just worried about you, he feels really bad for what happened yesterday and wants to make sure you're going to be alright)

My brows furrowed at his amusement, "¿Por qué te ríes tanto?" I asked, confused. (Why are you laughing so much?)

"Bueno, porque él parece estar interesado en ti y tú lo estás tratando lo como un amigo." Gio commented as he chuckled again. (Well, because he seems to be interested in you and you are treating him as a friend.)

"Dios mío, el no está interesado en mí. Probablemente solo esté preocupado por lo que pasó ayer." I muttered, staring at the bear he and his son brought me yesterday. (My God, he is not interested in me. He's probably just worried because of what happened yesterday.)

"Solo lo digo como es. Parece estar interesado en ti a pesar de que le advertí a él y a mis otros compañeros del equipo que no estuvieran coqueteando contigo." He added, shrugging and chuckling again . (I just say it like it is. He seems to be interested in you even though I warned him and my other teammates not to be flirting with you.)

"¿Por qué diablos harías eso?" I asked, surprised. (Why the hell would you do that?)

"Estaba tratando de protegerte para que no te lastimaran nuevamente, honestamente, la mayoría de los chicos del equipo están en una relación o están casados, pero hay algunos a los que les gusta joder y no quiero que ninguno de ellos te lastimen." He explained, abashed. (I was trying to protect you from getting hurt again, honestly, most of the guys on the team are in a relationship or married, but there are some who like to fuck around and I don't want one of them to hurt you.)

"Entiendo por qué lo hiciste. Aunque no estoy de acuerdo contigo. Puedo ver por qué lo hiciste." I replied, running my fingertips over the fur of the bear on my lap. (I understand why you did it. Though I don't agree with you. I can see why you did it.)

Before he could reply Cris walked in along with the doctor.Cris quickly excused himself, explaining that he had an emergency and had to go, hugging me and Gio before leaving.

Then doctor proceeded to hand me the discharge papers and handed me some prescriptions to take for the next few days.

I hated that my sister now knew of my injury, I didn't want to be treated like a child.

I am so bothered by these thoughts that the entire time we are driving home goes by so quickly, I don't even notice when we arrive at my sister's house.

"¿Que tienes?" Gio asked, turning to look at me. (What's wrong?)

"Nada solo me siento un poco abrumada y cansada…." I replied, quietly. (Nothing. I am just feeling a little bit overwhelmed and tired.)

"Te entiendo. Suele ocurrir, sobre todo, cuando tienes un accidente de este tipo junto con todos los eventos de esta semana." He replied, as he exited the car and walked around the car to help me get out of it. (I understand. It usually happens, especially when you have an accident of this type along with all the events of this week.)

"Todo va a mejorar pronto, 'manita." He told me, as he put his arm around my shoulders. (Everything is going to get better soon, little sis.)

I sighed in response to his words, but nodded all the same. Hoping and praying that his words become reality.
