Sydneys POV

"Adrian" I said unable to suppress a yarn. He looked at me and joined in instantly.

I gave him a tired smile.

"Don´t you think we should try to get a few hours of sleep before we move?" I asked.

We had been walking a bit aimlessly through the streets for some time.

The plan was to find a car retal company and be on our way, completely unfamiliar with the city though it appeard to be harder than we had thought.

"We shouldn´t be driving like this. We are both tired. It´s not responsible" I added.

He returned my smile "Maybe you are right. I could use a few hours of sleep. And a bed sound like heaven" he agreed.

I nodded. It really did. Soft pillows, a warm heavy blanket and Adrians arms around me. I couldn´t imagine anything better right now or ever that being said.

"I know we already lost time. But I think we should rest a bit. We can leave tomorrow early in the morning. What do you think?" I asked.

He nodded "And I can´t wait to take a shower" he said closing his eyes with a smile, probably imagining already being under a warm stream of water.

"A shower sounds amazing" I agreed. I had been in the same clothes for the last 2 days and suddenly couldn´t wait to get rid of them.

We turned the next corner and suddenly were standing in front of an old building that seemed to be squeezed in between two newer buildings. It completely looked out of place.

Old reddish bricks met green window frames and in front of every window there were pots filled with beautiful colorful wildflowers.

It was so beautiful I had to stop just to admire it. It looked like someone just transported it out of another time and put it in between new houses that looked cold and sleek in comparison. To my utter surprise it was a Bed & Breakfast and somehow I felt like destiny had brought us here just to find it.

Adrian had come to a stop beside me and I noticed he was watching me.

"I guess we found our place for today" he said kissing my cheek. I nodded.

"It´s beautiful" I said, still unable to take my eyes of of it. There was just so much to see. Small ornaments were painted around the entrance door and an ornate railing was framing the few steps leading to it.

I suddenly felt the urge to touch the bricks. They looked old and weather-beaten and I was sure if they could speak they had a lot of stories to tell.

Adrian took my hand and lead me up the stairs. We came to a stop in front of the door and he clicked the old bell which started an array of bells on the inside.

A few moments later an elderly woman opened and gave us a warm welcoming smile.

"Come inside" she said stepping to the side ushering us inside.

The inside reminded me of my grandmother's house. She had passed away a long time ago but we used to spend a few weeks at her place during every summer when I was little.

There was a lot of decoration, mostly wildflower themed and it was a bit overwhelming to see such a gathering of flowers.

We followed her to the small reception desk and she expectantly looked at us.

"A room for you two lovebirds?" she asked, still smiling at us.

"Yes please" I responded smiling back at her, it was just impossible not to.

She slowly turned around to hand us a key with a big satin bow attached to it.

"Thank you" Adrian said taking it from her.

"The room is on the first floor, second door on the right. Breakfast is served between 7 and 9. Enjoy your stay" she said and still busily watching around I thanked her and followed Adrian who was leading the way.

He opened the door and the room itself was much more modern than either of us had expected. The wildflower theme was continuing of course but the bathroom was pretty up to date with glass doors on the shower and a bathtub on the opposite site.

The big king size bed almost filled up the whole room and was loaded with at least fifteen pillows.

"I don´t think I ever saw so many wildflowers in my life" Adrian said and I chuckled.

"Neither have I" I responded weirdly faszinated.

"I mean I have seen a house full of roses before but wildflowers, this is wild indeed. There are so many colors" he said stunned.

I laughed "I still think it´s beautiful. It´s unique. And the bed looks sooo comfortable" All I wanted to do is curl up in it.

"Let me step outside for a moment to buy a few things while you take a warm bath. I´ll be back when you done, okay?" Adrian asked.

A bath sounded wonderful "What are you buying?" I asked.

"First of all, food. And then maybe a fresh set of clothes for us. I really don´t want to wear this a third day" he say gesturing at himself.

"That´s actually a very good idea" I said. "Good thinking" I added and gave him a kiss.

"Don´t get too excited, I´m not making any promises on what I will be able to find" he chuckled.

"It doesn´t matter. Just don´t get too adventurous" I mused.

"I´ll try. But like I said, I´m not making any promises" he said wiggling his eyebrows.

"Now go, relax in the tub, I´ll be back before you notice I´m gone".

He kissed me goodbye and I entered the bathroom and turned on the water.

I removed my clothes and watched myself in the mirror.

I looked more than tired and my hair was looking messier than I had ever seen it before.

I used some of the bath oil that I found in one of the shelves and then slowly sank into the bathtub.

It was glorious and I closed my eyes, enjoying the warmth around me.

I couldn´t remember the last time I actually had taken the time to take a bath. It must have been year.

I had just gotten out of the tub and had wrapped myself in a towel when I thought I heard Adrian enter the room, a small knock on the door confirmed it and I opened the door for him.

"You were quick" I stated and he gave me a played disappointed look "So were you. I said you should relax not be in a hurry" he said with a wink.

"Oh I see, you wanted to catch me in the tub right?!" I chuckled raising an eyebrow.

"Maybe" he said innocently.

"Sorry to disappoint you" I responded.

"Well, a man can dream. Are you more relaxed now?" he asked leaning against the door frame.

"I am. Very relaxed. And I feel so clean" I added.

"Hmmm…I like you a bit dirty" he said in a challenging tone with a smirk.

I blushed and softly punched him on the chest "You are impossible".

"We´ll talk more about this another time. Here, check my haul, I´ll take a shower and then I´ll join you in bed, okay?!"

"Okay" I said taking the bags out of his hands.

He entered the bathroom and removed his shirt, making me unable to leave. God he was handsome.

"You look hot in that towel by the way" he said looking me up and down.

I smirked at him "You look hot without that shirt" I replied.

"Guess what Sage, I´ll remove more than my shirt, so maybe you want to stay and…"

I rolled my eyes "I´m leaving now Adrian. See you soon" I said slipping out the bathroom with a huge grin on my face.

Back in the bedroom I checked the content of the bags Adrian had brought.

One bag was filled with different food items and I put it aside for the moment.

I found the clothes he had promised in the second one.

I actually was quiet happy with the clothes he had gotten. Not that I was too surprised but had been prepared for almost anything. On the other hand I knew he had good taste so I hadn´t exactly expected something too flashy.

Maybe the shorts he had bought were a bit short, both the pyjama ones as well as the jean ones I found in the bag. But I could live with that. The pastel blue blouse he had gotten to go with the jean short on the other hand was actually pretty decent.

I might even have bought that one myself. Probably to combine it with a cardigan or blazer, but still. It was a pretty blouse.

I removed the towel and started to put lotion on my skin, something I hadn´t been able to do the last few days. When I was done I slipped into the soft white pyjama shorts and the matching top and then started to remove the pillows from the bed one by one.

I finally let myself sink down on the bed and slipped under the big heavy blanket. I felt like I had just been reborn.

I felt Adrians body lying down next to me a bit later and my hands reached for him.

"Come" I murmured sleepily and he pulled my in his arms only seconds after.

"God this is perfection" I heard him say and in my mind I agreed. I was too tires to verbally agree though.

Cuddled up in his arm like this under the cloud-like blanket I instantly fell into a deep dreamless sleep.

Adrians POV

I woke up around early afternoon. A sunray was shining straight into my face. I had closed the heavy curtains before I had gone to sleep but obviously not completely.

Sydney was still fast asleep next to me. She had turned in her sleep and was laying on her stomach now, her beautiful blond hair sprawling out on the pillow below her like she herself was the sun.

Her long legs were only partially covered by the blanket and the white shorts I had bought formed a beautiful contrast to her lightly tanned skin.

The sun touched her leg, too and it was almost illuminating her skin from within. She looked like she was glowing.

I still couldn´t believe that she was with me. With everything I had done wrong in my life it just didn´t make sense that I deserved her being with me.

She stirred in her sleep and turned on her back, her angelic face seemed relaxed and her body was completely uncovered now.

Underneath the thin material of her top I could see the outlines of her round breasts and my mouth went dry.

I wanted to touch her, the urge almost became unbearable to resist and I scooted a bit closer to her.

I carefully brushed a strand of hair out of her face and slowly brushed along her neck and down her arm.

Desire and longing rose up in me and I tried to cover her up again.

I wasn´t supposed to wake her and I definitely wouldn´t start touching her in other places, as much as I wanted to, while she was still sleeping.

That just felt too creepy.

When I tugged a bit more on the blanket she slowly opened her eyes.

She gave me a smile that made my heart melt.

"Good morning sleepy head" I said enjoying every second of her sleepy expression.

She reached for my hand and kissed it softly "Good morning" she whispered.

I was one hundred percent sure I never wanted to wake up without her lying next to me ever again.

A smirk washed over her face and I was wondering what she was thinking.

"You are still not wearing a shirt" she said, her eyes on my chest.

I hadn´t bothered to buy extra sleeping wear for me earlier today and was only wearing boxer shorts.

"I know" I said lascivious, propping myself up on one hand.

She pursed her lips still watching me.

"Interesting" she murmured extending her hand to touch me.

Her small hand glided over my stomach and up to my chest with featherlike strokes.

I watched her curiously.

This was divine.

Her eyes had followed her hands journey before, now she was looking up into my eyes.

"Can we just freeze this moment? Can we just stay here forever?" she asked with a dreamy expression.

"Gladly" I responded maneuvering myself on top of her.

She gasped at my quick movement.

I leaned down, our lips just inches away from each other "Forever and ever and ever" I whispered before I closed the gap between us and kissed her.

The kiss was slow and sweet. Her warm lips on mine felt marvelous and soon our tongues were entwined.

I cupped her face with one hand and supported my weight with my other one while her hands softly scratched across my back. The feeling sent electric shocks throughout my body.

She pulled me on top of her and our bodies aligned, making me intensify the kiss.

And than my stomach made funny noises, completely ruining this moment.

Sydney started laughing and I rolled on her side.

"Come on Lord Ivashkov, let´s see what you bought for breakfast" she said still laughing.

She quickly got out of the bed and took the food bag from a small table across the room.

I groaned, feeling completely betrayed by my own body but then sat up to help her unpack the bag.
