Author's Note: So I was going to do a nice, quick, fun one-shot for a idea I had basically the moment we knew Lizzie turned. But I wanted to wait and see how they interacted and how Lizzie was actually turned first. And then when I went to write said quick one-shot, I wrote nearly 4k before I even got to the part that was the original idea. So instead this will now be at least a two shot. So look forward to that and enjoy this first chapter.

"So who else is on your list?" Hope asked, glancing over at Lizzie as they drove down the highway in a stolen truck.
"What? What list?" Lizzie asked, not knowing what Hope was talking about.
"You said Aurora was pretty high up on your list to kill. Which implies there's others above her. So who is it?" Obviously she would be at the top, but she was curious who else was on there.
"Weren't you going to take a nap?" Lizzie asked, trying to deflect from the topic.
"I was but I'm curious," Hope replied, before sighing as Lizzie still didn't answer. "Answer me."
"There wasn't anyone else, okay? It's just one of those things you say," Lizzie answered, hating that she didn't have a choice not too.
"Really? Seemed pretty clear that you want to kill me. You know, cause of all the times you tried. And failed," Hope said, smirking at the look Lizzie gave her. Lizzie couldn't lie to her though, so she had to be telling the truth. "So, which is it?"
"I don't want to kill you, Hope," Lizzie answered, almost surprising herself with the answer. When she had just transitioned it had been easy to focus on the rage she felt, to let that push down everything else. But now that it had faded she was back to where she had been before Hope had killed her, mentally resolved to kill her but unable to bring herself to do it.
Hope didn't say anything, instead turning back against her seat and letting her arm dangle out the open window, allowing silence to fall between them. In the end it didn't matter, Lizzie couldn't hurt her, and she'd make sure that all of the red oak was really gone before she turned her loose.
It was several minutes before Hope broke the silence again, "Turn left up here."
"Are you finally going to tell me where we're going?" Lizzie asked as she turned on to the drive, Hope having been giving her directions piecemeal the whole way here. And since here was apparently a mansion even larger than the one she'd stayed at in the prison world she was curious what they were doing here.
"As much as I want to kill Aurora, it's late, and I've had a busy last few days. A good night's sleep and decent meal sounded like a good idea," Hope answered, opening the door of the truck as Lizzie came to a stop just outside the courtyard. Looking around she honed her senses, searching for what she was knew was going on.
"I agreed to help you kill Aurora, not murder whoever happens to live here," Lizzie said, as she got out of the truck herself. Near murder of Professor Fumbledore aside, she wasn't into the whole indiscriminate homicide like Hope seemed to be.
Hope rolled her eyes, before answering, "The house is mine. One of mine anyways." She had a few actually, inherited from her parents, although the actual legal status was a bit up in the air at the moment due to having been Malivored. Still she had already come by and seen that she could enter as she pleased and the power was still on so that was good enough for now.
"And dinner is actually a few houses down," Hope added, having found what she was listening for. Once she had actually focused she had been able to hear the music easy enough. "You can join if you want. I'm sure we can find someone to your tastes."
"Hope, you-" Lizzie started before falling silent as Hope vamped out of sight. Groaning in frustration she stomped her foot down. She could leave, there was nothing preventing her from doing so. It was the smart thing to do, to get the hell out of here and as far from Hope as possible. So of course she turned and immediately followed after her.
"Hope, what are we doing here?" Lizzie asked as she caught up to Hope, the tribrid having stopped to fix her hair behind a truck after running the few miles from the house.
"I'm going to find someone to eat. You can do whatever," Hope said, moving to step out from behind the truck and join the party only to be stopped as Lizzie grabbed hold of her arm.
"You can't think I'm just going to stand by and let you kill someone," Lizzie said, knowing Hope knew her better than that. "And since when do you know where parties are? I've literally never seen you at one."
"I was listening while at the college earlier, you never know what you might pickup," Hope said, shrugging her shoulders before her gaze hardened. "Now, let me go before I have you kill everyone here."
"You wouldn't," Lizzie said, even as she let go of Hope for good measure. It wasn't like she could actually stop her anyways, they'd already proven that well enough.
"Hmm, maybe. Let's see how the night goes. Now why don't you go get a drink, while I, uh, get a drink myself," Hope suggested, smiling at her own bad joke. Not waiting for an answer she turned and left, joining the party taking place in the backyard of a mansion almost as large as Hope's.
Lizzie hesitated for a moment before moving to join the party herself. Maybe she could keep things from getting out of hand. She doubted it, but maybe. Spotting an actual bar set up in near the rear steps she walked over to it, looking over the options before ordering, "I'll take a shot of whatever is strongest."
"ID," the bartender said, getting Lizzie to raise an eyebrow in surprise. This party was apparently more
official then most she had been to. Well all that she had been to actually.
"Give me the damn drink," Lizzie repeated, this time locking eyes with the bartender and compelling him to do as she said. The man immediately moved to comply, while Lizzie looked behind her to see what Hope was up to. For now the tribrid was just walking around the partiers, like a wolf circling a flock of unknowing sheep. Which was actually a pretty apt description of what was happening.
"Your drink," the bartender said, placing it on the counter for Lizzie. Turning back she took the shot glass and threw it back, downing it in one go. Her eyes widened for a second at the taste, the flavors being much sharper than what she was used to. Still it was a welcome comfort after the day she'd had.
"Another," Lizzie said, compelling the man once again for good measure. Turning back to the party she saw that Hope had apparently picked out her mark, a pretty blonde girl that was several inches taller than the tribrid. She looked vaguely familiar, which probably meant that she had went to Mystic Falls at sometime.
Seeing the blonde laugh at something Hope said, Lizzie couldn't help but roll her eyes. She knew that Hope could actually be charming when she wanted, and had seen her do so a few times, but couldn't believe she was even bothering. She had assumed that Hope would just compel someone. Or kill everyone here, that was a possibility as well.
"Is that your drink?" Some guy asked from beside her, getting her to turn back to the bar and realize her second drink had arrived while she'd been watching Hope. Taking it she threw it back as well, the guy beside her nodding in appreciation.
"Damn, you can really throw them back," the guy said, getting Lizzie to roll her eyes. Great, now she had some random frat bro hitting on her. "So do you come here often or?"
"Please shut up," Lizzie said, not wanting to deal with this tonight. Or any night. Looking for the bartender she saw that he was busy with someone else, adding to her annoyance as she turned back to survey the party once more.
"What's your problem?" The guy asked, Lizzie not even paying attention to him as she searched for Hope. Where had she gotten to in such a short time? Seeing something out of the corner of her eye she saw the blond Hope had been with vanishing past the corner of the house, no doubt being led by Hope.
"Hey, see that guy over there?" Lizzie asked the annoyance next to her, drawing his attention to a guy at least fifty pounds heavier than him. And none of it appeared to be fat. "Go fight him," she said, compelling him to do just that.
Immediately he charged off to do as she had ordered, Lizzie smiling slightly as she heard the shouts starting while she slipped off to follow after Hope. She didn't know if she would actually need a distraction but it was better to have one in case things between her and Hope escalated again.
Rounding the corner of the house Lizzie stopped cold at the sight before her. She had expected to find Hope with her fangs in the poor girls throat. Instead Hope and the blonde were still just talking, and from the looks of how close they were it looked more likely that her tongue would be going down her throat instead. Or had already.
"What's going on here?" Lizzie asked, genuinely wanting an answer.
Even in the low-light she could see Hope rolling her eyes as she turned to look at her. "Experimenting," Hope replied, before sighing and turning her attention to the blonde closest to her. "Well there went the fun way. Now don't move and don't make a sound."
Compulsion done she turned to look at Lizzie for a moment, meeting her eyes before her fangs came out and she buried them into her prey's throat, taking a long drink from it. Lizzie took a step forward, wanting to do something before stopping. There really wasn't anything she could do.
"Now that was refreshing. So much better than before," Hope said, licking the blood from her lips before looking over at Lizzie. "Oh, I'm being rude, you want some?"
"What do you mean better than before?" Lizzie asked, ignoring Hope's offer and focusing on that.
"Oh, well you see I had this idea. Having my humanity off is really freeing and everything but also kind of boring. So I changed it," Hope said, smiling over at Lizzie as she watched her try to puzzle out what she meant. "I left the annoying stuff like empathy and guilt and whatever off but turned back on the fun stuff, like pleasure and taste."
"I'm pretty sure that's not how that works," Lizzie said, not being an expert or anything but pretty sure that was true.
"What's the point of being all powerful if you can't break the rules?" Hope said, laughing slightly at Lizzie's expression. "It wasn't even that difficult. Happiness, pleasure, lust, it's all just chemical at it's core. I turned that back on and left the rest shut off."
Hope smiled at her once more, and unlike the previous times Lizzie could see that there was genuine emotion in it. Any solace she could take from that was ruined immediately as Hope sank her fangs into the other blonde again, her eyes flashing up to Lizzie as she did in a way she didn't really understand. Not even thinking of what she was doing she jolted to Hope's side, grabbing her arm and getting her to stop momentarily.
"Oh? Want to join in after all?" Hope asked, smirking at Lizzie, red blood dying her lips.
"I-" Lizzie started to say, before her eyes darted down to the girl's neck, blood slowly running down it. It was all she could smell, she could hear it pulsing through the girl's veins, and she suddenly remember that was she very, very hungry. "No," Lizzie forced out, taking a step back as snapped out of it.
"You sure? She's quite delicious. And if she breaks we can always just grab another," Hope said, oblivious to the girl's eyes widening in terror even more. Lizzie didn't miss it though, and she shook her head no, diverting her gaze.
"You know I can just make you."
Lizzie eyes widened, looking up at Hope in shock, "You wouldn't." Hope just smirked at her, and Lizzie felt her emotions shift as she realized that this Hope definitely would. A pit of fear settled into her stomach, along with a sweeping wave of panic. "Hope please, don't make me."
Hope frowned at that, just for a second, before sighing. "Well this isn't fun anymore." Biting into her thumb she ran it across her prey's lips, healing her wound, before vanishing the blood with a bit of magic. "Go. Forget everything that happened… actually, you can remember the kiss. Forget the rest," Hope compelled, glancing over to Lizzie to see what her reactions was.
Lizzie tried to not let her shock show. She just failed miserably at it as her jaw literally dropped. "So you weren't planning on just eating her?" She asked, before her mind could point out that it was a bad idea.
"Well there was going to be a lot of eating," Hope answered easily, smirking as it slowly dawned on Lizzie.
Lizzie tilted her head at that, before realization dawned on her. Yeah she had walked right into that one. "Did turning make you like extra horny or something? I didn't even think you had a libido before." Sure Hope had melted her boyfriend by having sex with him but it took her nearly two years to do that. The girl had far more restraint that herself or her sister had. Or she did before anyways.
Hope laughed at that, there being some truth to what Lizzie was saying. Especially now that she turned that part back on, and kept the restraining factors off. "What can I say, I had a craving."
"What for? Blonde and dumb?" Lizzie asked, before suspicion dawned on her. "Wait a second…"
"Took you a minute didn't it?" Hope said, confirming that she had indeed gone after that girl due to her passing resemblance to Lizzie.
Lizzie didn't know how to respond to that and for once she didn't just blurt out the first thing to pop into her mind. Probably due to her mind being empty as she tried to parse through all of that. You'd think being murdered by the girl would make her feelings for her pretty clear but nope, still a confusing mess.
"You okay there?" Hope asked, tilting her head and biting back a laugh at how stunned Lizzie was. It looked like she had just stopped working entirely.
"I'm just…" Lizzie said, feeling as if she had to answer but searching for one that wouldn't give too much away, "Hungry. I didn't exactly get to eat much earlier."
"Well that's ironic, given that I just sent away dinner," Hope said, rolling her eyes as she did. It made sense though, Lizzie must have drank from Vardemous to turn, but probably didn't take a lot. She had to still be starving.
"So, either we can go grab someone from the party and this time not have you chicken out. Or…" Hope paused, her eyes flicking up to Lizzie's. It was going to be much more fun to see how she'd react than just grabbing some random person. "You could drink from me."
"What?" Lizzie asked, knowing that yes, that was a thing that was possible but not having thought Hope would go for it. It seemed Hope was willing to go for a lot of things she hadn't thought possible though.
"Why not?" Hope asked, leaning back against the wall of the house. Reaching over she pulled her jacket open on one side, turning her head to expose more of her neck. "This way you get to keep your precious conscience intact while still drinking your fill. And I get to make sure my canary isn't about to go crazy from hunger. Well, crazier."
"Rude," Lizzie replied, more to say something than any real meaning behind it. It was a tempting offer. A very tempting offer, she realized as her eyes went to the exposed flesh of Hope's neck before following it down to… actually scratch that, it was a dangerous offer. A very dangerous offer. "I'll pass."
"Is that what you really want to do?" Hope asked, her tone lowering just a little. She could see Lizzie gulp even in the low light, hear her heartbeat speed up. "Answer me."
"No," Lizzie answered shortly, hating that she wanted this.
Hope smiled at that, "Then drink." It wasn't quite a command, there being just enough leeway that Lizzie could probably refuse if she really wanted to. But she didn't want to.
Lizzie rushed to her in a second, grabbing Hope's hands and pinning them against the wall of the house. Fangs out she hesitated for just an instant, before sinking them into Hope's neck. As the blood ran down her throat she barely restrained a moan, instead sinking her teeth in deeper in a way that made Hope gasp. Hope tasted so much better than Vardemous had, and she wasn't sure if that was an age thing, female thing, tribrid thing, or just because it was Hope. Probably all of them.
For her part Hope was enjoying herself, a half smile on her face as Lizzie drank from her. It didn't actually feel good of course, although the pain wasn't exactly a bad feeling for her. It was more the feeling of having made Lizzie let go, of having her be so unrestrained. Before she could really think more on it, Lizzie pulled back from her, stepping back a pace as she tried to refocus.
"Done so soon?" Hope asked, smiling as she reached up and cupped Lizzie's chin. The Heretic was breathing heavily, her eyes a little unfocused as she tried to come down from the rush of feeding.
"You got something there," Hope added, running her thumb across Lizzie's blood stained lips and vanishing the blood with magic. Letting go she did the same to the blood that was still staining her neck, while the bite mark had healed almost as soon as Lizzie's teeth left her throat.
"You made-" Lizzie started, before stopping as she wondered if that was even true. "Did you make me do that?" She asked instead, not sure of the answer.
"No, I didn't. That was all you," Hope said, smiling once more. Reaching out she took hold of Lizzie's arm by the wrist, pulling the blonde back to her. "You can do it again you know, I won't mind."
"I don- I don't want to," Lizzie managed to say, her eyes darting back down to Hope's throat. She wasn't lying of course, she did want her mouth back there again. She just didn't think that all she wanted was blood.
"Then what do you want?" Hope asked, honestly curious. She could feel Lizzie's heart racing, could tell that the girl wanted something. But she wasn't entirely sure what that was. Which made her want to find out all that much more. "Do what you really want."
Lizzie didn't do anything for a second, seeming to sort through the options before her mouth lowered once more. Only instead of going for Hope's throat, this time she moved to capture Hope's lips with her own, shocking the tribrid for an instant. It wasn't for long though, Hope's lips parting in invitation, her tonguing moving to meet Lizzie's, the taste of her own blood still on it.
It wasn't a long kiss, only a few seconds, but when Lizzie pulled away both girls were flushed and out of breath. Neither girl said anything, just staring at each other, before Lizzie seemed to come to her senses and realize what she had done. Not even bothering to say anything she turned and ran, moving with vampire speed to get away from Hope.
For her part Hope smiled slightly, giving a slight laugh. So that was why Lizzie was sire-bonded to her, she had been wondering. She had only ever turned werewolves before and all of them had been bonded to her, so she hadn't been sure if that was just going to be true for everyone. She was the only of her kind and it wasn't like she had come with an instruction manual to check the rules.
She wasn't worried about Lizzie running off, and not just because that particular emotion was still turned off. This was Lizzie, she couldn't leave her. Knowing the blonde like she did Lizzie would probably hide out the rest of the night before returning to the manor tomorrow pretending like nothing had happened. Or that Hope had forced her to. Neither of which was true of course. Which was why this was going to be so much more fun than she had thought it would be. Mutually beneficial relationship indeed. And if her own heart had picked up a bit during that kiss, well that was just chemical. It wasn't like it meant anything.
Author's Note: So that sire-bond is actually kind of annoying to write around if you want consent to mean anything. And I do. I think I like it better for the show than for fanfics because I trust that show won't take it to certain places. Anyways, this was still pretty fun to write, and I'll try to have the second chapter up sometime this weekend. Hopefully this next episode will give me even more content I can use. Until then leave a review to let me know what you thought, I like those.
