Chapter 259
Good Observation
Cameron returned from her base late last night and spent a few hours with John. They didn't argue or fight any so that was nice. They shared a good time. She left him to snore on his own once he fell asleep. She took care of a few more things before she ended up in the Command Center.
She was very pleased Savannah was able to 'see' something that the rest of them missed or never thought to look for. This was further proof to her that Savannah was the 'Chosen One'.
She wanted to go over the information with John Henry.
"That was some very good observation by Savannah." Cameron said. "I've already complemented her."
John Henry was still impressed by what she'd found that he missed.
"Yes, she's quite the study." John Henry said. "You've taught her well."
Cameron felt it was a group effort.
"We've all worked with her, many are responsible." Cameron said. "I need to commend Mr. Ellison and especially you."
John Henry could see how much Savannah loved Cameron. She was the center of Savannah's world.
"It's you she worships, Cameron." John Henry said. "You're her everything. She loves you."
Cameron seemed to feel that a lot. She always thought everyone would hate her.
"Many people love me." Cameron said as she looked at John Henry.
John Henry looked away.
"Savannah love - loves you." John Henry said as he faced Cameron again. "It's a love that is pure and true. It's a love like no other I've witnessed."
John Henry could see it in Savannah's eyes and her facial expressions. Her love for Cameron seemed to radiate from her entire being and presence.
Cameron was more than pleased at the young woman Savannah was rapidly becoming. Savannah was everything she wanted her to be. She developed a special attachment to Savannah, as did Savannah to her. She believed one day Savannah would be the perfect mate for John and a natural leader. Savannah would serve the Resistance well. She would protect John and provide him with offspring. She believed that Savannah was the 'Chosen One'. Everything that happened seemed to indicate that to her.
Inside of her, Cameron knew she felt things. It was the same feelings and emotions for Savannah as she felt for John. She knew Savannah was the only one of them out of all of them who NEVER gave up on her - ever. She believed that in itself said something. She felt the 'bond' between them grow stronger just thinking about it. She knew the 'Chosen One' chose HER. It would be her goal and duty to make sure Savannah never felt the things she felt or was made to feel. She would make sure Savannah never felt lonely or unloved or unwanted. She vowed to sacrifice anything so that Savannah would never feel like she did.
Cameron glance at her hand, it did not glitch. She accepted Savannah's role with John for the future. She was aware of what it would entail. She needed to make sure Savannah's bond with Young Allison would happen too in the future. There was one there now but she wanted their 'true bond' as well. The 'Natural Order' would assert itself. What was meant to be would be. It was inevitable.
"I like everyone to feel happy, wanted, important and comfortable." Cameron said.
John Henry could see that but he thought Cameron missed someone very important, herself.
"You do for everyone." John Henry said. "That's for everyone except yourself."
Cameron didn't want to have this discussion. She could never make anyone understand how she felt and why. The pain of past events always haunted her. She felt that to be around Savannah, always allowed the pain to 'go away' for a time. She decided to dodge the issue. Potential combat would help clear her mind.
"So what do we have on the target location?" Cameron asked.
John Henry knew Cameron just redirected the conversation. He believed that he better than anyone else knew of the demons that haunted Cameron. He'd shared her chip with her. He felt her pain.
"It is not much other than a location at this point." John Henry said. "There appears to have been no activity there in a long time. It may have been decades even."
Cameron already summoned the Metal girls.
"I will take the girls, MY girls, and check it out." Cameron said.
John Henry was aware that John wanted to go as well. He wanted to give her a heads up.
"John and Bob may wish to accompany you." John Henry said.
Cameron frowned. John should not be out in the field.
"That will be unnecessary." Cameron said. "Bob and Steve might be handy as a backup. John will be more secure at the base."
John Henry doubted John would take that rebuff lightly.
"I will inform them." John Henry said. "Do you wish for drone support?"
Cameron didn't want the Metal girls to get shot up if there was an ambush or a hidden danger.
"I think some recon would help right before our arrival." Cameron said. "I know you're already running some."
John Henry tried to do the recon clandestinely.
"Is there anything you don't already know?" John Henry asked.
"Not much." Cameron said.
'I know a lot except what's 'wrong' with me.' Cameron thought.
"The initial recon indicates that everything looks abandoned." John Henry said.
Several Grays and Terminators where at that one location to look for what they now possessed. There needed to be a reason for them to go back for it.
"Somebody thought it was important." Cameron said. "I will find out. If there is something there, I want it."
Cameron knew Skynet went out of its way to do something and try to hide it. The fact this was done in the further past bothered her even more.
Last Night:
Ally, Hanna and Sheila waited for Cameron to leave her base. She needed to go back to see John, check on a few things and update with John Henry.
The Metal girls made sure 'Isabel' was in a 'blind spot' in the security cameras at Cameron's base. They did not want CamNet to report to Cameron now or later in an update what they were about to do. She'd already given them another mission to carry out but that would not start for a few hours yet.
Sheila wanted to 'try out' Isabel's chassis. She handed Ally a scalpel.
"I don't think that is a good idea." Ally said.
Hanna was sure it was a 'bad idea' too.
"Cameron will be upset when she finds out." Hanna said.
Sheila didn't see it as a big deal. It would be some harmless interaction with the girls. The idea greatly excited her.
"I want to be 'Isabel' for a little while." Sheila said. "Just do it."
"No." Ally said.
Ally handed Sheila back the scalpel.
Sheila tried to hand it to Hanna. She held her hands up and backed away.
"No way, I'm not going to be deactivated over this." Hanna said.
Sheila wanted to offer Ally and Hanna a little incentive.
"You can use my chassis." Sheila said.
Ally and Hanna looked at each other.
Sheila saw that she hooked them.
"Both of you can use it." Sheila said. "You can do whatever you want too."
"You won't mind?" Ally asked.
"I want to be 'Isabel'." Sheila said. "Just don't cut anything off of my sheath."
Ally looked at Hanna
"Why would we do that?" Ally asked.
Sheila thought she would do that in a borrowed chassis just to see how things would regenerate. Maybe some things would and some would not. She wanted to find out.
"No reason." Sheila said.
Sheila handed Ally the scalpel again.
Ally looked at Sheila's sheath. She wanted to be 'Shelia'.
"Lay down next to Isabel." Ally said. "I'll do it."
Sheila did. Ally cut her scalp open. She was ready to pull her chip.
"Are you sure?" Ally asked.
Sheila looked over at Isabel's chassis.
"Do it." Sheila said.
Ally opened the port and removed Sheila's chip.
"Do you think we should leave it out?" Hanna asked. "That way we won't have to watch Cameron deactivate Sheila later on."
Ally didn't like that thought at all.
"Don't be such a sissy." Ally said. "Get my chip out and put it in Sheila's chassis. We can make out with each other first."
Hanna smiled.
"OK. That sounds hot." Hanna said.
Hanna went to work and a few minutes later Sheila-Ally opened her eyes.
"How do I look, love?" Sheila-Ally asked.
Hanna was surprise to hear Ally sound like Sheila.
"Hot." Hanna said. "Are you going to talk like Sheila too?"
"Yes." Sheila-Ally said. "It's part of the experience."
Hanna and Sheila-Ally shared with each other for an hour. Sheila-Ally put Hanna's chip in her chassis half way through the time of sharing.
"We'd better activate Isabel-Sheila." Sheila-Ally said.
"Don't you want to go back to your chassis?" Ally-Hanna asked.
"Not after what we just did." Sheila-Ally said. "I want to be in 'Isabel's' chassis next. We can all switch chassis three times this way."
Ally-Hanna was not sure if she wanted that. Then again what was the difference? They were all together anyway with each other.
"I think I'd like that." Ally-Hanna said.
They set Sheila's' chip in Isabel's chassis.
Isabel-Sheila opened her eyes. She saw 'herself' staring at her.
"What's wrong, love?" Sheila-Ally asked. "Does the cat have your tongue?"
"Ally?" Isabel-Sheila asked.
"The one and only, sort of." Sheila-Ally said
Isabel-Sheila checked her time.
"Now I know where my missing hour went." Isabel-Sheila said.
"It was a productive hour." Ally-Hanna said. "Now let's get started. I have two more chassis to try out."
"It's every girl's dream to try out someone elses body who they feel is Hotter than they are." Isabel-Sheila said.
"Damn straight." Sheila-Ally said.
"We need to do this more often." Ally-Hanna said.
The Metal girls got started with some gusto.
Cameron wanted to get the show on the road. Ally and her left the Resistance base and arrived together at the target location. Hanna and Sheila would arrive from the backside on foot. They'd left several hours earlier. They would come down from the mountain side. They wanted to make sure there were no hidden surprises.
It was a medium sized building located at the base of a mountain. Further up the mountain and to the west was the location of LA-88 a former Nike Base. Closer to the building was LA-94 another former Nike Base. The Nike bases were abandoned but the infrastructure still remained even if it was in disarray. This was true of most of the other Nike bases that ringed the Los Angeles area. A quick look at a satellite map showed every location still.
Cameron used the old Nike bases to stay at several times when she went back into her future to save Future Allison. She secretly stocked them with supplies and materials to use with Future Allison when she went back to the future - HER future. She'd patrolled these same areas then in the future and knew what areas and structures were compromised and what remained untouched. That is where she hid her supplies. Every one of them was still there when she needed it.
There was some movement in front of Cameron.
She must have let her mind drift.
John arrived at the location with Bob and Steve.
"Are you girls going to need some help?" John asked.
Cameron didn't look pleased. She glared at Bob.
Bob lifted his hands as high as his shoulders in a show of resignation. He didn't want Cameron to blame him for bringing John there.
"No." Cameron acidly replied. "We don't need any assistance."
John ignored Cameron and started to look around.
Cameron could not make John understand he did not need to take these risks. She did not fear for her safety, she feared for his. She'd initiated the duplication of herself and provided a backup chip of herself for Ally to replace her. Her spare chip in Ally would instantly be 'her'. John could not grasp that her program was her, not her sheath, not Allison's appearance. The more John rejected anything but the sheath she was in, irritated her more and more. She was aware one day she may only exist in a server as CamNet or worse, as - Skynet.
She went over the latest intel from the drone with John Henry. There was nothing new to add about where they were at right now.
John Henry checked further into the building. All the bills associated with the building were being paid automatically through a trust company. Cameron suggested they look into what else the trust company was paying with automatic payments. This had been going on for decades. John Henry said he would look into it. She was sure it would produce more targets.
Cameron was ready to make her move. She directed Ally and Steve to stay at John side. He would remain in the rear for now much to his protests. Bob and her would move forward. By this time and the delay created by John's arrival, Sheila and Hanna found their way into the building as well and joined up with them.
The building looked abandoned. From the paperwork they found in the office it appeared that nothing happened here since early 1971. There was an extreme amount of dust build up and the roof sprung a few leaks at some point in several places. There was water damage and some associated mildew.
John moved up to where they were at much to Cameron's displeasure. He looked around the office too.
"Whoever built this seems to have forgotten about it." John said. "It looks like the place time forgot."
Cameron knew someone hadn't forgotten about this place.
"It hasn't been forgotten by Skynet." Cameron said. "It seems they were and still are after something here or associated with this place."
John moved around some more in the office. He opened a drawer that Cameron reached for. She didn't like getting 'cut off'.
Cameron was irritated John moved up to her position, she glared at Ally, who then frowned at her. She nodded in return. She knew from experience that John was hard to control. She found a few ways. Like all females, she learned sex was a good 'motivational' tool. She used it extensively to 'motivate' John. There was more than one way to MAKE him listen. It never ceased to amaze her of the 'power' of a few 'female body parts'. It was rewarding to her to use them as well.
Cameron turned her attention away from John and back to Sheila and Hanna.
"Did you see anything out of place?" Cameron asked.
"We noticed abandoned well heads along our entry path. They may have been modified and disguised for ventilation or exhaust for something buried or dug out in the ground below the hill." Hanna said.
Cameron wondered if there was a secret entrance somewhere. Someone went to a lot of trouble at one point to do all of this and then just 'walk away' from it.
"Let's look for something hidden that could lead to the hill next to us." Cameron said. "That's where what everyone is looking for must be located."
Cameron looked at Ally and Steve as they started their search. They both nodded back in return. They both knew to keep John away from whatever danger lurked there. They may encounter booby traps or Terminators in standby. She'd encountered one before that was in standby for almost ninety years. The time period from 1971 to now was only about half of that time.
"Everyone pay good attention to everything." Cameron said. "There could be anything from booby traps to Terminators in standby. It could go hot any second."
Good Observation
We can see which way is up
We can see which way is down
Do we point out the difference
Or be clown with a frown
No one needs to see
Everything with their eyes
To know what is true
And what are more lies
It can always be felt
With what one will radiate
There goes the love
Here comes the hate
It all boils down to
'Not good enough'
When simply put
One lacked the right stuff
When one has fled to another
It's not really an aberration
To catch them red handed
Takes only good observation
Nobody
