Chapter 12: So How Is All Of This Connected?

A/N Hi there, this is mostly a filler chapter. I might get another chapter out this week and we'll be in Oregon at that point! Some of the information here is from the episodes, some made up. I've moved around some birth dates too. But trying to keep as close to canon as I can. For now. Who knows going forward...I don't hehehe.

FBI Jet - Somewhere Over The United States of America

"So, how does this link to the cases now?" asked JJ.

"Right, so I assume you have seen my profile or at least, looked me up?"

The others all looked at each other rather guiltily.

"Relax, we do the same thing over in MI6 too. It's fine. You should see your faces right now. Anyway, I was accepted into MI6 fairly quickly and I'm pretty sure it was only because I had experience with fighting these Death Eaters that they even considered someone so young. I did go through the training program just like everyone else though. Once Tom was defeated, as I said, his followers scattered, there was no way for us to catch them all. He had at least four commanders and around eight known soldiers. However he had around 300 personnel on his side."

"What the fuck? Please tell me you had just as many on your side!" exclaimed Morgan.

"I had two commanders by my side, at least fifteen combatants and another 300 personnel."

"Y-you were only-" started JJ.

"Seventeen, yes."

"You were the leader?" asked Hotchner

"I had no choice. Voldemort was after me personally and then the rest of the world after. I was standing in his way and I was sure as hell not going to sit back while everyone else was fighting."

"Where did this battle happen?"

"At the school." Harrison sighed.

"WHAT?!"

"So-so, when you said you had a few hundred on your side. Were they also children?" asked Hotchner angrily.

"No! There were maybe three students who were under seventeen that refused to be evacuated, but only those seventeen and up were allowed to stay. I ordered all the younger students away. There was no other alternative. The school is in the highlands and it's incredibly isolated. This school is ancient and they never installed electricity so there was no way to contact anyone for help and the battle lasted only a day so by the time anyone got to us it was too late."

"What kind of school is this? It sounds like the students are trained in combat."

'Ah, shit. How am I going to weave my way around this?' thought Harrison.

"An elite one. You attended from the age of eleven and for a total of seven years. There were all the normal subjects like math ('or arithmancy thought Harrison'), chemistry ('potions'), history ('of magic') but we also had defense classes which included hand to hand combat, sword fighting and firearm training for the seventh years. Weaponry was heavily guarded at the school but was made available to our combatants."

"Should we be worried? That's a lot of military trained alumni out there."

"I should have mentioned that firearms training is mostly limited to firearm safety rather than being trained to kill someone. We were taught enough to be able to drive back their forces."

"How many of his followers escaped?" asked Hotch.

"Only two of his main commanders were killed but many of his personnel perished. So maybe ten of his main commanders or soldiers escaped the initial battle and I personally caught five of them in the year that followed. So there's about five left. The truth of the matter is that we couldn't assume that all of his supporters were at that battle. So I have no idea how many are truly out there."

"Do I want to know how many you lost on your side?"

"Around fifty."

"How do we know who we are looking for?" asked Prentiss.

"The files there include the five suspects that we haven't accounted for. We'll go through the rest when we land. It will be easier to do this visually."

"Alright, when we land Morgan and JJ, you head to the crime scene. Reid, Emily, both of you head to the ME and have a look at the victim. Potter and I will head to the station and start setting up so we can build a profile."

'Dang, I'm stuck with my new boss. My very HOT boss. Wait what? Settle down, settle down.' thought Harrison.

The rest of the flight was spent with gentle questioning and banter amongst the group. He knew the others were observing him but he didn't mind. He just had to be careful to not give away the existence of magic. He had a feeling he would have to read them in at some point. He wants the team to like him and trust him. Harrison decided he would get through the first day before heading to MACUSA to talk about revealing the news to the team.

'Perhaps I should time it right for when David Rossi joins us.' he thought.

The last couple hours of the flight, attention was turned back to Harrison.

"Hey, Potter, we don't often get new teammates but I thought we could go round the plane and each ask a question that all of us have to answer." suggested Morgan.

"That's a bit dangerous as profilers, no?" laughed Harrison.

"We have a rule; do not profile each other. But you're right, however no doubt the questions asked we have already answered for each other anyway."

"I suppose being a profile is great for your work, but not your personal lives right?"

Morgan laughed and agreed. "You got that right. Hard to keep secrets around here!"

'Shit, I knew this was a bad idea.' Harrison thought.

"Ooh ooh! I'll start my lovelies!" Harrison jumped, forgetting that the bubbly Garcia was still on a video conference with them. "So, what languages apart from English do each of you know? I can speak French and bits and pieces of Italian and Spanish. Alright, go!"

"Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and Arabic." listed Emily.

"Spanish and Arabic." said JJ

"I can understand more than I can speak. But I can speak Latin, Russian, German and Korean. Apparently my Spanish is not good." laughed Reid.

"Nah man, I never bothered with another language." waved off Morgan.

"Same." came from the man of many words Hotchner. "You, Potter?"

"Oh god. I'm gonna come off as some kind pretentious git," the others stared at him. "What?"

"Pretentious git?"

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Yeah….so. Spill."

Harrison huffed. "Fine. I understand and speak Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Latin and Greek. Oh and American and British Sign Language." he listed. 'And Mermish, Gobbledegook and Parseltongue.' he thought to himself.

"Um. Wow. Have we got another genius in the team?" asked Morgan.

"What? No, I just have an affinity for languages. Plus I started learning the first four in primary school," he scoffed. The team looked blankly at him. "Elementary School." The team "ahhed" in realization.

"Your turn to ask a question, newbie."

"Hmmm….what did you do, as a job, prior to joining the FBI?" asked Harrison. "Obviously, I was an agent in MI6 and that was my first job."

"Oh man, I was actually arrested by the FBI and they offered me a job or jail time. I was a vigilante hacker." Garcia looked both embarrassed and proud of that.

"Uh, I've only ever worked for the FBI." Prentiss.

"Same here." JJ.

"And me." piped up Reid.

"Police officer in Chicago." Morgan.

"I was a prosecutor." mentioned Hotch. "Do you have any kids? I have Jack, he's four."

"I have a son, Edward or Teddy as everyone calls him. He's seven years old."

"Hold up, not that I'm judging but you would have been what? Eighteen?"

"Adopted son. His father was one of my parents best friends and an uncle to me. He and his wife named me godfather after he was born but neither survived the war. Custody was given to me before I graduated from Gaidhealtachd."

"Wow, that's amazing Harrison! Not many teenagers would do what you did!" praised Garcia.

"I love that boy to pieces, he was what got me through those early days after the Battle. He's currently staying with some friends back in England. He will join me once I've settled in the home I've chosen."

"Awwh, that's cute. Anyway, no children for me." said Garcia.

"Neither," said Emily.

"Same." agreed Reid.

"I have a son, Henry. He's only one." says JJ.

"I don't have any yet either. Still a lean, mean bachelor."

"That you are, chocolate thunder." called out Garcia "You know it, baby girl!" replied Morgan.

"Huh?"

"You'll get used to it, that's the way they always speak to each other."

"Ok, cool!"

"Alright, my turn. What is your favorite album of all time? Mine is Mezzanine, Massive Attack," raised eyebrows were a response. "What? I like more than just hip-hop and RnB."

"The White Album, The Beatles." snorts of laughter at Hotchner's answer.

"Hmm, The World We Knew, Frank Sinatra."

"Wow Potter, such a refined musical taste!" claimed Morgan

"Nah, I just listen to anything really. But that is my favorite album."

"This is actually a lot more embarrassing than I thought. Spice, Spice Girls. There. I said it!" No one was surprised at Garcia's favorite.

"Uhm…Antichrist Superstar, Marilyn Manson." Everyone snickered at Emily.

"I don't actually have a favorite album, but my preference lies with classical music like Beethoven, Bach, Rachmaninoff. Music like that." Again, no one was surprised with Reid's answer.

"Evil Empire, Rage Against the Machine," again with the looks of disbelief but towards JJ this time. "What? I rock."

"Favorite sport? I actually had a scholarship to play soccer at University but decided the FBI was where I wanted to be." announced JJ.

Morgan answers next. "I have a black belt in judo. But I enjoy football too."

"Soccer for me also. Jack seems to be showing interest in it as well."

"Footba- oh, sorry, I mean soccer for me too."

"Does computer gaming count? Yes it totally counts. Computer gaming is mine." rushed out Garcia.

"Hmm, no sports for me." That was Emily.

"I coached the school basketball team when I was in high school, but I never played," said Reid. "Okay, who is your favorite author? Mine is Arthur Conan Doyle."

"I don't read much, but Danielle Steel." answered JJ.

"Robert Ludlum. I like the Bourne movies." said Morgan.

"Tolstoy." Yes, that was Hotchner.

"Fyodor Dostoevsky."

"I don't even know who that is, Potter." Replied Morgan.

"Ooh, so I totally don't like gore, buuuut I love Kathy Reichs books."

"I don't read," said Emily bluntly. "But oh, last question. What is your go-to karaoke song? Mine is Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen."

"Nope, not answering that." laughed Reid.

"Total Eclipse of the Heart, Bonnie Tyler!" giggled JJ.

"Jump Around, House of Paaaiin!"

"Ok that one is not a surprise." laughed Emily.

"I don't sing but if I had to choose, Blackbird, The Beatles."

"C'mon man, choose something that's NOT The Beatles."

"Numb, Linkin Park."

"Ok Potter, that was unexpected. How do you go from Sinatra to Linkin Park."

"Ooh, my turn. Leather and Lace, Stevie Nicks."

"Hey mama!"

"Do you even know the song Morgan?"

"No, but the title says it all!"

"And that my friends, brings us to the end of the questioning hour. You should be landing soon I think! Talk to you later lovelies! Hey newbie! Don't let them get to you! They're harmless really! PG out!"
